A soft laugh passes Ciro's lips as both of her kids rushed up stairs— whining and groaning as they did about being sweaty and disgusting.
Apparently they had P.E and hated it.
More than they did before because they didn't play any sort of sports.
Instead they just exercised. A real shame if you'd ask them.
From the moment they spotted Ciro, the two boys started complaining to her but didn't hug her as they always would due to the fact that they were sweaty. Instead they kissed her cheek and contiuned on complaining about P.E.
Now that they were home, the two were eager to take a shower.
This time, Ciro didn't scold neither boys for running.
Only this time though as she understood how they felt.
As for her— she'd went into the kitchen, thinking what she'd make for dinner.
The teen walks over towards the fridge, opening it and takes a peak inside of it. There was so much yet so little inside of it, if that made any sense.
Once she settled on what she would fix up for dinner tonight, the loud shrill of her phone ringing broke her out of her thoughts. She lets a low groan pass her lips before she heads in the livingroom to grab her phone which was laying on the couch.
She glances at it and a smile tugs at her lips, seeing that it was Andre calling.
And she also saw the time which made her nearly facepalm, did it really take a bit over twenty minutes to figure out the meal she wanted to make?
She didn't have time to think about that right now though. There were important matters at hand.
Therefore she quickly picked it up and answered, placing it against her ear.
"Hey," she says softly. "H—hey," Andre replies almost nervously with a shaky voice and she arched a brow, feeling a bit worried now. "Are you okay?" Ciro questions softly.
The line goes silent for a moment, which only worried her even more.
Suddenly he lets out a low sigh and well to her, he seemed stressed?
He then clears his throat lightly. "I really wish that I could have said this to you— face to face but I'd punk out," he mutters and she makes a face at that.
What did he have to say that had him as he was now?
"Okay," she lets out unsurely as she sat down on the couch and leans against it.
Once again, the line went silent and she stays quiet. She didn't want to rush him and he already seemed to be struggling, so she'll just be patient.
Now that, she can do. She has two boys afterall and they didn't listen when the two were much younger. But she didn't hold it against them, they were kids and they listened better than others honestly so it was alright.
"I— I really, really like you Ciro," Andre muttered into the phone the girl felt her heart skip a beat as her grip tightens on her phone.
Well, thank God she sat down huh?
But— liked her? He liked her? "Like i—in a rom—romantic way or?" She questions him softly so she's not assuming things.
The teen didn't notice her sons walking in, eying her in confusion.
"Yes, in a romantic way." The male over the phone comfrims. "And it's killing me to just keep this to myself— because you deserve to know and well, I'm unsure if I can just hold back my feelings longer. I'm also worried that someone else would— swoop in and well yeah," he rambled on as the girl just listens to him. "You make me so happy, Ciro. You make me smile, I can't go a minute without thinking about you and the wellbeing of you and Jayden and Jaylen. Seeing you smiles makes my heart beat like fucking crazy and having you near me, being so close to you— it's killing me but in the best way possible— and um y–you don't have to say anything about it. You really don't but I was umm wondering if y–you'd go on a d–date with me sometime." Andre contiune rambling on, unsure if what he's saying was even making any sense.
But even over the phone, he was really struggling and could imagine how much he would've fucked up face to face.
Yet, he's planning ask her again face to face at some point when she's processed all of this.
He knows that this is probably way too much to take in and he can wait, he is a patient man afterall and he can wait, no matter how long he needs too. "You don't have to answer that now neither and I'm good at being patient, I promise. Just had to ask after all this," he adds, giving her a nervous laugh though he was beyond scared right now.
Mostly because of how silent she is but he knew she was processing.
He's just a fucking overthinker.
"Uh, see you tomorrow." The male added on though she could hear the twinge of.. worry? in his voice. "O—okay," Ciro says lowly before she hung up and rested her phone on her lap, staring ahead blankly.
Jayden and Jaylen glances at each other before looking at their mom. "Think the nigga finally confessed?" Jayden asks his twin who rolled his eyes. "Definitely," he replies.
The two boys made their way over to the teen, sitting down beside her.
"Guess he admitted he likes you?" Jaylen deadpans and gets smacked in the back of his head by Jayden but he just brushes it off.
Their momma was dealing with enough so a fight has to wait until she's good.
Ciro just nodded her head lightly and the two boys eyed each other worriedly.
"So, he likes you but you don't like him?" Jayden asks and the girl pursed her lips.
"I— I do like him." She mutters out after a moment of silence. "Okay— what's the problem?" Jayden asks her in confusion. "Cause he's cool." He added on while his twin hums in agreement.
Andre acknowledged them.
Not as Ciro's brothers but her son's. He's only the few that easily see's how much work and time she's put into raising the two. And they appreciated that.
It meant more to them than Andre will ever know.
A low sigh passes Ciro's lips. "W—what if something happens?" She muttered. "Or what if he leave—," before she's able to finish, a hand in placed over her mouth. She blinked in surprise before she looks over at her kids who were staring at her blankly and she smiles sheepishly.
"Things always happen, isn't that what you tell us?" Jayden says as he takes his hand off her mouth. "And if he leaves— we kill him." Jaylen added on as Jayden agreed while Ciro shook her head at the two in amusement.
Her boys, huh?
"Give it a chance," Jaylen adds on. "And no, we don't mind." He adds on.
Because she thought of them first with every choice she's faced with.
It was endearing but it made them feel bad at times— because she deserves to have fun and live her life but she's now stuck with two kids to watch. And it was all because their actual parents wanted drugs more than them.
The girl pursed her lips but then nodded her head. "I'll give it a chance," she says and the twins instantly wrapped her up in a hug which she returned. "Good, now go rest. Jaylen and I will make dinner." Jayden says and Jaylen agreed before the two boys kissed her cheek and went into the kitchen.
I'm raising em right, Ciro thinks happily to herself as she smiles softly.
Meanwhile, Andre was pacing his room unsure if he fucked up or not.
But— he did it. He confessed. It was abit sloppy and over the phone but he did it still? Obviously he'll say it while she was face to face with him but he just needs to make sure he won't faint nor punk out.
"Fuck," he mutters to himself as he ran his hand over his face.
"Andre!?" He hears and nearly jumped out of his skin at his Gramdma's voice. "This Trouble girl is out here for you!!" She yelled out he makes a face.
Trouble? He thinks to himself before he sighed to himself knowing that she was speaking of Tori. "Andre's not home!! Go now!" His Grandma yelled out before a door is slammed shut before he can even speak.
The male leaves his room and spots his Grandma on the couch. "Oh Andre, we should eat cookies! Let's make some!!" She exclaims and the male chuckles but nods his head. "Okay, grandma." He says softly.
