3. Lipstick

MICHEAL APPROACHED CASSIDY, discretely leaning beside her ear. "Go somewhere upstairs, i'll come find you." He said bluntly.
"Micheal, love, do me a favour and find Tommy?" Polly asked him, standing in front of him. "Er..yeah." Micheal muttered, shoving his hands into his pockets and making a b-line for the stairs.
He didn't go look for Tommy, he looked for Cassidy and it didn't take long before he found her. Micheal closed the door over and held his suit jacket.
Cassidy outstretched her arms, offering him the bottle of cocaine. He shook his head, standing in front of the table.
"You don't?" she asked.
"I just needed to bring you somewhere nobody could see." He told her. "When i spoke to Isiah earlier he said you all did it?" She raised her eyebrow.
"Not me, Cass, but it's all right. Go on."
She poured some on the table, making a mess. He chuckled, placing a cigarette in his mouth. "I see you don't either?" he joked, staring down at her.
"Don't be silly, everyone does. You know i do it."
"So go on then" he sighed, sitting down. "Cut the snow," He leaned back. "I call it Tokyo," Cassidy corrected him.
"We call it whatever the customer calls it,"
"Oh so i'm a customer?" She raised her eyebrows, wiping her hands on her dress. She grinned, sitting straight.
"Back in London, I was told you were all gangsters." She said, putting on a posh accent and mocking the type of girls that had flirted with Michael earlier that evening.
He tapped his cigarette. "So that's why you got in a car to dirty, old Birmingham?" he hummed. "For a dirty old night"
She grinned, tapping the razor blade on the glass. "You know, Micheal. Tonight made me really notice how you aren't like the others. You aren't like John or Thomas,"
"That's the idea. I put it all together but i don't partake. See i've got a bright future, mapped out, i thought you knew that," Micheal pulled money out of his wallet, rolling it and keeping his eyes on her. "But you've always wanted me to be like them, haven't you?"
Cass kept quiet, taking the money from his hand and looking down,
"My father says that there's a cavalry officer stationed in Ceylon. And when his tour of duty ends in March, he wants to think about getting me to marry him. So..i have a bright future too, mapped out,"
"But you want to try things first?"
She leaned down, sniffing the white substance off the table and pulling a face, causing him to laugh.
Micheal admired her features as she laughed, looking at him. Eventually she tried to hand the money back to him.
"No. Keep it,"
"As if I were a whore?" she asked in a flirtatious tone.
"Well if that's the game you want to play, Cass." Micheal said, once again staring at her, blowing smoke from his mouth.
She pulled herself up onto the couch and lifted her dress, tucking the money into her stocking, keeping her eyes on him.
Micheal looked over at the door as slow music began playing. He ignored it, knowing it was only the bride and groom dance.
"This cavalry officer will be old then, yeah?"
"I suppose," she agreed, leaning forward and taking a cigarette from his box. Usually he'd argue but this time, he allowed the girl to take it. He watched as she leaned forward and he lifted up a lighter, lighting it.
He watched as her eyes glistened slightly as she leaned back.
She was breath taking, fucking gorgeous. And Micheal knew that, he thought that every time they saw each other. She was the only girl he'd look for in a room full of people.
-
Micheal pushed Cassidy's hair back as their lips connected again. "I saw how angry you got earlier, when Isiah was talking to me." she teased between kisses. He ignored her. "What's the problem, Micheal? Are you jealous?"
"Shut up, Cassidy," he hissed, kissing her slightly more aggressive. She smirked, knowing she'd annoyed him.
In the past, before her and Micheal began doing what they do, her and Isiah had kissed a few times, mostly when they were drunk. They'd had sex twice but they'd both agreed it meant nothing and it was heat of the moment. But still Micheal got annoyed whenever he saw the two laughing with each other.
Her hand rested on the side of Michael's shoulder as he continued kissing her, his own hand on her face. She jumped slightly as louder music began playing downstairs.
She placed a hand on the back of his neck, leaning into him more than she was already.
Micheal stood, pulling her to her feet without breaking the kiss. He placed his hands on her waist, gently pushing her toward the table beside the wall.
He slowly moved his lips to the side of her face, down to her jaw, lifting her leg up and placing her on the table. Cassidy gasped, letting out a slight lap and gripping onto the side of his shirt, throwing her head back.
The pair breathed heavily as Micheal continued. His head lay on her shoulder for a few seconds before tilting it back, biting his tongue.
Cassidy held onto him for balance and dug her nails into his shoulders, her heart pounding.
She jumped once more at the loud bang that came from outside. "What was that?" she asked, pulling her head away from him. He looked at her, moving his head to her neck in attempt to distract her. "Probably just a car back firing," he breathed heavily.
Cassidy's hand was placed on the back of his shoulder as her legs grew weak. "I don't care about Isiah, Micheal, i never have." she whispered, placing her head on his shoulder.
He closed his eyes, gripping onto the table for support.
-
Micheal handed Cassidy her shoes and pulled his suit jacket from the floor, straightening it out and placing it over her shoulders. "Thank you," she whispered, sending him a light smile.
"Come on, we can't miss the whole party," he said, offering her his arm.
She willingly accepted, walking back down the stairs with Michael. "Wait," she stopped him. He frowned, turning to her and she lifted her hand, wiping the lipstick from his own mouth and smiling, "okay, let's go."
