Exiting from the hell—hand in hand, Karan and Monami sat in their jeep, but this Monami was driving, and Karan was on the passenger seat. Both were silent—Monami was taking deep breaths due to the outburst which has genuinely affected her heart, and she was actually feeling bad but wasn't regretting even a bit.

On the passenger seat, Karan was silent, not being able to believe how easily his family asked him to leave Monami just to save their haveli. All his life he has spent being the obedient, capable and the best grandson to his Daarji-Beeji, the most supportive brother to Rana and the most helpful kid to the pind residents and just because he moved out to follow his passion-filled dream, he was labelled as a 'Gaddaar'. Well, fine—he took it but now they wanted him to leave his love, to save the haveli and become a part of the family once again.

He was proud—on Monami and on his decision to love her limitlessly all through his life but has his display of love lacked so much that someone who knows nothing about the support and sacrifices she has provided him with, came up and asked him to leave her?!

Monami who's entire focus was on the road she was driving on and her grip was firm on the steering wheel just like she had on her words which she spatted in front of Dilpreet. Her eyebrows were still scrunched, as a result of her anger that had erupted no less than a volcano.

Monami - Zyada bol diya na maine?

Monami asked, still looking at the road to Karan who was lost in his own thoughts beside her. At her sudden question, Karan turned towards her and wrapped his arm around hers and kept his head on her shoulder.

Karan - Zyada to tha..magar vo nahi jo tumne kiya..balki vo jo unhone kaha. How could they even expect me to leave you?!

Monami - Ek umeed thi unhe ki kya pata tum parivaar mein judne ke liye, unki shart par raazi ho jao.

Karan - Unse jud jaata..magar khudse tootkar! Rani Sahiba, jis din aapka ye Khadoos Shergill aapko aise chhodne ki soch lega, vo din uski zindagi ka aakhri din hoga. Mark my words!

Monami sighed and chose to not to react on Karan's words as she knows that a lot is going on inside him. They were going back to Deolali and were now on the only highway that can lead them out of Amritsar. But something caught Karan's sharp eye. It was a truck—not some ordinary one. It was Parakram SAF's army truck which is used by cadets and trainers.

His eyes widened in deep surprise and confusion, and he immediately asked Monami to stop right in front of that truck. Sensing the urgency in his voice, Monami immediately drifted the jeep on the other lane of the road and stopped it right in front of the PSAF truck, being suspicious and shocked herself.

The urgency that Karan showed in jumping off the jeep was something that made a commotion stir inside the truck. Being followed by Monami, Karan made sure to pull out his service revolver and aimed straight at the exit gate of the truck, not knowing whom he's aiming at. Monami went ahead and was about to open the gate when it opened by itself, only to reveal it was the people that they didn't even guess of.

The whole paltan of Parakram SAF—Faizi, Koel, Sanjana, Siddharth, Bala, Chitra, Premji and Sumanji, stepped down in a queue from the SAF truck and seeing them, the tensed creases of both Karan & Monami's forehead straightened, only to be replaced by utter confusion.

Karan - Tum log? Yaha? Kyu aur kaise?!

Karan expected an answer but instead got a salute from all of them as he is their senior irrespective of being on duty or off duty. Karan returned the salutes with a respectful nod and that's when each one of them softened their posture and coming ahead, everyone one by one hugged each other.

Faizi - Bahot din ho gaye thhe tumse aur Monami-tsunami se mile..to socha mil le. Deolali gaye to pata laga, aap janab to apni mohtarma ke saath Amritsar mein vacation mana rahe hain.

Sanjana - Sirji, Ghar Ghar Mein Soldier ke second batch shuru hone mein kuchh waqt hati. To hum soche..kyu na aapse aur Monami se hi mil liya jaaye aur isi bahane jaa sabki aur humari chhutti bhi man jayegi!

Chitra- #Hum yaha #aaye to aap #dono kaha #chal diye?

Karan and Monami exchanged a look at Chitra's question. At this moment and that too in middle of the road, they can't be discussing such stuff and so, Karan decided to convince all of them to return to Deolali with them.

Karan - Humse milne aaye ye to bahot achha kara, mile hue kaafi time ho gaya tha. Lekin, yaha se chalte hain..Deolali!

Sid (surprised) - What? Karan bro! Please..don't be such a spoil sport. Hum to abhi Amritsar border mein enter bhi nahi hue aur aap hume bhaga rahe ho..like rats! Monuuu..

Sid whined looking at Monami and she just passed him a huff, explaining she supports Karan in this while Karan just rolled his eyes at the silent conversation of the two bestfriends and also on the fact that how now he can't stop Sid from calling him 'bro', otheriwse he has to face his Monami's wrath.

Monami - Sid, kabhi to maan jaaya kar yaar. Karan's right..Deolali hi chalte hain.

Sid huffed in annoyance as both Karan and Monami were just reciting the same lines. Being adamant, he sat down in the middle of the hot road which was receiving direct sun stroke and immediately jumped and stood up wincing, feeling hot somewhere he didn't want to.

Sanju (murmuring) - Pichhwada jalwa kar pad gayo chain toye, Chirkut?

Sid (murmuring back) - Pichh..what?!

Karan (glaring) - SIDDHARTH!

Listening to the stern calling of his name, Sid immediately ran to his Monu bro as the only way to escape the Khadoos Shergill's scolding is one and only, his Rani Sahiba. Hiding behind Monami, Sid started questioning, knowing—now he's in the no danger zone.

Sid - Karan bro, kya problem hai agar hum Amritsar enter ho gaye to? We're not going there just for a getaway; I also have some work!

Monami (squinting her eyes) - What work? Care to explain!

Sid - MONU! Okay..maine ek property khareedi hai from some villager. Basically, Daddy G bro wanted it so, though the deal is done but he still wants me to go once and check..you know, t-tech-ikat!

Sanju (correcting him) - Vo 'tehkikaat' hoto hai!

Sid rolled his eyes and looked at Karan with hopeful eyes. Karan shook his head with hard eyes as Sid's puppy eyes have no effect on him. Actually, nothing except Monami's puppy eyes can melt his stone-heart.

Sumanji - Aisa to serial maa ke poot ke episode no 4230 mein bhi hua tha!

Premji - Haan..Sumanji bilkul uchit keh rahi hain! Nayak ke parivaar walo se uski suleh nahi hui isliye serial ke Nayak or Nayika apne sheher wapis jaa rahe thhe!

Listening to the epic foreshadowing done already in Premji's serial 'Maa ke poot' and being already emotionally drained and tired, Karan quietly agreed and being too excited, the paltan of Siddharth, Sanju, Faizi, Koel, Bala, Chitra, Sumanji and Premji hurriedly went in the army truck while Karan and Monami followed the PSAF bus in their jeep. The bus was ahead and was going inside Amritsar, while in the jeep behind, Monami glanced at Karan who was now driving.

Karan (without looking at her) - Kya hua? Aaj bahot handsome lag raha hoon jo aise ghoor rahi ho?

Monami - Aaj kya..tum to roz handsome lagte ho! But ye batao, itni aasani se Amritsar jaane ke liye kaise maan gaye? Aakhir chal kya raha hai aapki ulti khopdi mein?

Karan chuckled dryly knowing that Monami is indirectly trying to figure out what's going in his heart. Keeping his eyes on the road and handling the steering of the jeep with his one hand, Karan kept his other hand on Monami's, sending a reassuring warmth with a sad smile.

Karan - Don't worry Rani Sahiba..kuchh nahi chal raha aapke Khadoos Shergill ki Ulti khopdi mein! Inn logo ka itna mann tha, so I agreed. 1-2 din ghumlenge and then back to Deolali!

Assuring her about his state of mind, Karan drove off back to Amritsar and the army truck followed thier jeep. Thankfully it was peak afternoon, so not many were present on the streets, making it less awkward for Karan and Monami to return. But some men saw their arrival and rushed to inform Kushwant.

Meanwhile, Monami, Karan and the whole paltan reached the farmhouse which was already booked by Sid. A huge and lavish farmhouse, situated on the exits of the town and was surrounded by many beautiful flowers, plants and trees, giving the property a very refreshing aura.

Stepping in with their luggage, Sid and Faizi were the first ones to slump on the huge couch, followed by Bala, Premji and Chitra. Shaking their heads in disbelief at the very childish antics of their beaus, Sanjana and Koel too joined the 'slumped troop'.

Karan and Monami too took a seat and all of them were just admiring the serene interiors of the property. It didn't even feel a bit that it's situated somewhere in the pind itself. The whole afternoon was spent by the paltan in sleeping like logs as the road journey really tired them. The only awake people were Monami and Karan, who were now at the terrace of the farmhouse, waiting for the noon shine of the sun to set.

Slow hand-in-hand strolls, no words exchanged, just the presence making the love echo!

Monami knew that coming back to Amritsar when they were almost about to exit was much difficult for Karan, but he just couldn't explain everyone the entire story as he didn't want to and so, agreed. She slowly caressed his hand which was in hers and despite noticing it, he didn't initiate any conversation, and she knew why. He was too afraid, afraid of whatever is going within him.

He wants to be back with his family but at the same time wants her no matter what. He wants his pind, but can't leave Deolali. He's at such a turning point where he's forced to prioritize what's hurting him right now over something which'll sooth his wounds for the moment but would hurt forever.

Suddenly, they spotted a group of people behind an open jeep, making noise, as if protesting or about to attack somewhere. From the terrace, the whole view wasn't clearly visible but one could make out that the person inside the jeep is someone powerful and influential due to how religiously his people were following him. Shrugging it, taking it as some daily banter or a little problem, Karan and Monami decided to not to notice it and went downstairs to wake up everyone who are sleeping since the afternoon.

Meanwhile, the troop was of Kushwant and his men who were storming behind Kushwant's jeep that headed towards the Shergill haveli.

Listening to the increasing noise outside their house, Rana and Nimrit rushed out, being followed by Sanjot, Parminder and Harmanpreet who brought along Dilpreet, giving support.

Rana - Oye Kushwant, kyu tamasha lagaya hua hai ithhe?!

Kushwant - Arre mere praa, abhi tamasha lagaya kitthe hai? Tamasha te ab lagega!

Laughing wickedly, Kushwant stood on the bonnet of his jeep as if he's announcing something. His long torso over the jeep bonnet grabbed attention and people passing by halted in their steps to know about what the matter is about and also to gather some spicy gossip.

Dilpreet - Kushwant, badtameezi na kar! Itna tamasha na laga!

Kushwant - Chachaji..tussi vi na..Achha, chalo chhaddo! Kam se kam mainnu badhaiyan to do.

Dilpreet rolled his eyes along with gritting his teeth while Sanjot and Parminder looked heavily worried along with Rana and Harmanpreet. Nimrit was the only one who was delightedly excited to know what Kushwant is upto and her heart blossomed with all the evil feelings.

Harmanpreet - Kis baat ki badhaiyan chahiye tuannu?

Kushwant - Tuaddi haveli ab saaddi ho gayi! Badhiyaan to doge hi!

The words that came out of Kushwant's mouth was like a big rock that had fallen over all of them. The color from their faces faded, eyes widened, and body stiffened.

What did he just say?! The haveli is his now? NO WAY!

For a second, all of them thought he might be joking and trying to scare them but the confidence that was dripping from his expressions weren't joking. Maybe Kushwant was stating a fact. The thought alone of being homeless and seeing the haveli being registered on Kushwant's name, made Dilpreet's blood boil. His rage-filled, old eyes turned red and limping, he came ahead—as if trying to protect his family and his home.

Dilpreet (yelling) - Ae Kushwant, apni ye bakwaas baatein apne kolo (paas) rakh! Mere ghar te aankh uthakar vi na dekhna!

Kushwant (laughing shamelessly) - Oh ho chachaji, ab umar ho gayi hai tuaddi, inna na chillao..tussi chal base to fir 13 din tak shok manana pad jaega!

The Shergill family gasped at Kushwant's audacity to utter something so inauspicious. Sanjot's eyes immediately brimmed with tears of anger as what Kushwant dared to speak is her biggest fear.

Sanjot came forward and stood beside Dilpreet as if guarding her home from Kushwant's evil gaze.

Sanjot - O bus kar ja putt, varna achha nahi hoga tere liye! Ek sardarni ko halke mein na lena!

Kushwant's evil smile fell and he jumped off the bonet of his jeep and stood in front of Sanjot. Eyes dark, teeth gritting and fists balled—his anger peaked at Sanjot's warning.

Kushwant - Chachiji, tuaddi izzat karda hoon, iska fayda na uthao. Aur haan, apni ye haveli ab khaali karne ke liye taiyaar ho jao. Ye to ab meri hai!

Saying so, Kushwant stretched his arm towards one of his men, who passed him an agreement—a printout of an online agreement. It had signatures of the buyer and the seller, along with the house number, which was of the Shergill haveli.

The eyeballs of the Shergills nearly popped out in utter shock. The haveli is sold but how?

Rana couldn't believe what he was seeing in front of his eyes. A legal document as proof that now they're homeless and the roof that protected them from every sorrow, will no longer be there to protect its kids. He stormed and held Kushwant's collar but that didn't make Kushwant's evil smile flatter.

Rana - Kushwant! T-Tu humari haveli nahi bech sakta!

Kushwant - Par maine to bechdi! Ab kya karega tu? Jayega apne bhaisahab le paas, hn?

Sukkhi (Kushwant's man) - Par Kushwant paaji, Karan nu to inn sabne vapis nahi bhej diya?

At Sukkhi's statement of reality check, Rana's grip on Kushwant's collar loosened and his hands fell down. Realisation struck them already but the biggest obstacle, their ego wouldn't let them accept the truth.

Dilpreet - Oye, tune kaha tha agar hum tujhe 2 crore de denge to tu haveli nahi bechega..2-3 din ka time de hum de denge paise, jo tere bante to nahi hain..magar de denge. Tu haveli na bech!

Kushwant - Oh chachaji, pehli gal to ye..ki inne paise laoge kaha se?! Aur dusri gal ye ki meri party ne haveli 3 crore mein khareed li! Ab Harmanpreet chacha, tussi hi batao..main apna nuksaan kyu karau? Haveli to ab bik gayi!

Harmanpreet looked at Dilpreet, Sanjot and Parminder being tensed as whatever Kushwant was saying was very practical and now there's no escape from this situation for the Shergills.

While the tension prevailed silently among all and the whispers from the crowd seemed embarrassing to all, Nimrit was the only one as Kushwant winked at her indicating that their plan is still on but from the other way round and that was enough to make her heart burst in happiness.

The Shergill family stood silenced and helpless. The house is now worth at 3 crores, and they don't even have a fraction of a money of that amount, there's no escape to this situation now. Either they try convincing Karan again to get married to Riya which is next to impossible or arrange 3 crores somehow, which is equally hard.

Sanjot couldn't stand the loss of her house, that aren't just four walls to her but a whole album of their memories filled with love, sorrow and everything that her and Dilpreet have seen in the 45 years of their marriage. She stormed inside the house and returned back with something hidden under her sheer dupatta.

Her eyes held tears of pain as what she was about to offer Kushwant, was a piece of her heart and a symbol of her sacred bond with her Sardarji. Keeping her practical mind ahead and taking a deep breath, Sanjot unveiled what she was hiding under her dupatta and forwarded it towards Kushwant.

Sanjot (pleading) - Kushwant puttar, ye saare mere vyaah de gehne hain, Sardarji ji di bebe ne chadhaye thhe. Tu ye sab lele..mera mangalsutra bhi lele, bus ye haveli chhod de puttar. Sirf ek makaan na, saddi puri zindagi hai ye! Aur..aur..ye 2 crore da cheque vi hai..tu ye bhi lele!

Kushwant (confused) - Gehne to theek, par ye cheque kaha se??

Sanjot - Bus..samajhle rabb ji ka bheja ek farishta aaya tha!

Sanjot said her statement about Monami while almost glaring at Dilpreet and right now, his eyes didn't have the courage to meet Sanjot's eyes as at this moment, its Monami's cheque only which can save them from being homeless.

The condition that he had kept in front of Karan and Monami this morning rang in his ears and the whole scene played in front of his eyes like a movie. The way he faked being sweet on the phone, only to call Karan home; the way he kept his demand in front of Karan, almost like someone heartless; the way he wanted Karan to ditch Monami, despite knowing how Karan loves her like breathing. He was breaking inside and was feeling the pain of being self-stabbed.

Monami, the girl whom he wanted his grandson to leave, only for the haveli, is going to be the only source of saving them from being homeless. The inner guilt was eating Dilpreet, but the massive ego was just denying accepting how grateful he should be of her and her cheque.

Dilpreet felt something burning in him. First them almost being homeless and their haveli being sold, then Sanjot giving her wedding jewelry to Kushwant as a repayment and now, something that hurts his ego—Monami's cheque was being their only savior!
