Dev's Diary
⁕⁕⁕
Today was rather uneventful, it had three days since my quarantine was complete. I started to allow my mind to wander, while my manager continued to blabber about my image. I was making a list of excuses I could use to escape this lecture. My phone buzzed in my pocket, I grabbed it out. It was lit up with a notification. A text message from the coach, it read to meet him at an address.
"Sorry, I have to go." I grinned unashamedly with my joy to escape the lecture. I saw a flock of guys heading out toward a hall.
"Where are we going?" Washington Sundar turned to me, I shrugged.
"I could ask the same thing," I raked my gaze around the small crowd. I spotted a few different team jerseys.
"Damn, it's been so long since I've seen some of these guys." A smile broke out on Yuzi's face, he started to walk around taking selfies with his ICT teammates.
"KL!" My eyes lit up when I found Rahul chatting with Mayank, He turned in my direction and waved. All of the IPL teams were here, I saw a few CSK players along with DC players entering the hall. I saw a few drinks tables set up in the corner of the room. I made my way toward the table, feeling slightly awkward because I didn't know too many people here. I chose a grape juice and sipped it, I noticed players with COVD weren't allowed into the hall.
Unconsciously, the contents in the cup began to tilt diagonally. I heard the sloshing and the angry snort from someone.
"Shit," I cursed under my breath.
"It's alright," A feminine voice answered. "This isn't my jacket anyways,"
A smile cracked through my face when I heard the latter, I looked up and saw a pair of brown eyes watching me.
"Charu," She stuck her hand out for a hand-shake, which I accepted.
"Dev-" I started but she cut me off.
"I know," She chuckled with a smile on her face. Something was captivating about her, Wheater it was her brown curls or her soulful eyes. I didn't know. But I found her interesting.

"Seriously? Dad's so god damn cheesy." Aarohi laughed when she read the last line of the entry.
"But I found her interesting," Ayush imitated the old Bollywood film star, Shah Rukh Khan. His imitation earned a rare smile from Dhristi.
"Who's Charu though?" Aarohi voiced a thought that was running through the three teenagers' heads.
