I stood outside the mansion, running my hand through my hair in anxiety. I glanced over at the mansion, and, now that I know the truth, It looked even more darker and scarier than usual. I felt so weird and sick to my stomach, like I could vomit any moment.

Why didn't it cross my mind before ? It seemed so obvious now.

I let out my phone and sent a text to Luna. I needed comfort, and even if I wasn't going to tell her the truth, I felt like I wanted someone to talk to. For the first time ever, Gabriel wasn't an option.

I glanced at my phone for a few seconds, expecting my sister to reply immediately, but she didn't, so I automatically guessed that she was doing something else. I pressed on the power button to close my phone, and looked around me.

I saw Jackson coming out of the house, looking around him as if looking for me, and started walking slowly towards me, with a concerned expression over his face.

As he got closer, I decided to take a step forward and talk to him, since he was the only one who could understand.

He reached towards me, and stood right in front of me, holding my hand. I felt immediately better. I sent him my best smile possible, making him grin as well.

"You ready to talk about it ?" He asked with an innocent voice.

"I.. don't know how to explain this to you.. I don't want to scare everyone, my behaviour inside was weird." I tried to explain.

"I don't think I want to talk about it yet. Maybe I'll explain to everyone as soon as I'm sure that what I was searching for is correct."

He nodded understandingly, and led me towards the house again. It was sort of a long walk, because the yard was so huge and I had walked a bit much after I got out. Now that I noticed, if someone attacked us there, there wouldn't be a place to hide.

Now, why was I thinking about that ?

I tried to shake the thought out of my head as we walked closer to the mansion.

"Are you hungry ?" Jackson asked, successfully pushing me out of my train of thoughts.

"Kinda. Me and Gabriel just woke up." I replied, holding his hand again, which made me feel safer.

"Let's go eat something then. I'm sure you'll feel better after."

As soon as we arrived at the door, Jackson whispered three words that made nod calmly, even though I was mentally freaking out. "Avoid their questions."

Then I opened the door, and entered.

The next thing I saw was Finn and Jaeden standing by the mirror, trying to find out what was wrong with it, while the others didn't care at all. Or maybe they were just trying to keep their composure. Noah walked over to the pair, and asked them something I couldn't hear, I'm guessing about the mirror as well.

"Where's Gabriel ?" I asked loudly. Finn turned around all of a sudden, making the others do the same as well, as if they didn't acknowledge my existence.

"Um, he went upstairs."

I nodded, and stepped towards the stairs.

"Wait, aren't you going to eat, like you said ?" Jackson asked, glancing into my direction. I turned around to give him a small smile.

"Yeah, I'm just going to check on Gabriel first."

He nodded, and I went up the stairs.
