With my breath clogged up in my throat, my feet try to follow up with Jin's fast moving steps while his back is facing me as he leads me into an unfamiliar room.
I quickly glance around, the room we've entered filled with reflections of myself and Jin as several mirrors are hanging on the beige walls. The room has a dark feeling to it, the usual white surroundings now switched out with the dark oak-wood creaking beneath my shifting feet.
With a simple, clean move with his arm, the door behind me close shut by force, making me jump slightly. He keeps his back facing me, running a hand through his raven-black hair while letting out an exasperated gruff.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing, Chi-Sun?"
I open my mouth to answer him, but close it again right away not knowing what to respond. I'm confused and anxious as to why he has brought me here, the growling behind his usual smooth voice keeping me on edge.
He turns around at my silence, his dark orbs drilling into mine. A burning animosity was clearly developing in them, and it's easy to tell that I'm likely the root cause of the problem. The silence hangs in the air as the tension is building up with each passing second.
As the silence gets too much for me, I raise my hands innocently to the air, backing away from him slowly.
"W—what are you talking a—about?" My voice trails off in more of a whisper than an actual question.
I swallow thickly as I see how Jin's jaw tightens, his head tilting back slightly rewarding me with the glorious sight of his neckline.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. The Arch Angels already hates us, you don't need to give them another reason to make it miserable for us here. So tell me. Now."
He raise his eyebrows a little, his voice still stoic and cold. Now I'm starting to feel aggravated myself at the tone he's using towards me.
How dare he?
I choose to ignore him, taking in a deep breath and turn my back to him. Moving towards the closed door, I hear as Jin shifts his weight from one foot to another silently, probably eyeing my move.
Well, my move is leaving this sorry excuse of a conversation.
But unfortunately I don't make it that far.
A yelp leaves my lips as a pair of strong hands grab my waist and turn me around, pinning me to the door behind me — now facing Jin.
His dark features frowns as he stares at me, one of his hands on each side of my face. The loud thud made the door shake, the same way as my trembling form does.
"Why did you tell Yoongi to tutor you in telepathy?!" Jin roars into my face, his black eyes becoming too much for me to look at, my head falling down, staring down at my feet.
My heart is racing and it feels like I can't breath, like someone is choking me. Unknowingly a single tear drops to the wooden floor.
Jin's racked breathing then stops, one of his hands grabbing my chin, tilting my head up to his view once more. As he sees my glassy eyes it's like his expression softens, but only for a split second.
"I. . . lost my temper. I'm sorry," He awkwardly says, causing me to sigh before he speaks again, "But why did you tell Yoongi to learn you that power? What did you do to make him agree?"
Feeling the anger bubble in the pit of my stomach once more I shake my head, freeing my chin from his grip.
"I didn't tell him to tutor me!" My voice is stern as I glare at the older black angel, my nails digging into my my palms at my sides.
"No really, what did you offer him? Yoongi doesn't do stuff like that. Our souls are empty, we don't do kind favors like that. What did you tell him?" Jin continues his questioning, his eyes narrowing as he looks down at me.
"I didn't tell him shit. He offered it himself. Are we done here?" I grit out through my teeth.
"You probably offered to sleep with him, didn't you? New angels often offer their body for stupid shit like that, no wonder you'd do the same—"
His words are cut off as my flat hand connect with his cheek, a loud smack filling up the small room. I look at Jin who now has a red mark on his face from the impact, pushing at his rock-hard chest.
Tears brim in the corners of my eyes as I hiss at him. "Don't talk to me like that. Who the fuck do you think you are?"
Jin's eyes widens in surprise and before I know what he's doing, he moves closer again, this time his hands fall to my shoulders, squeezing them gently. Freezing in the spot, momentarily stunned by his sudden action I watch as he frantically sighs out.
"I'm sorry! Please don't cry— fuck, I'm such an idiot. I won't yell at you again, I promise. Just— don't cry." He pleads, his eyes not black any longer, now a deeper brown color, warmth filling them instead of the coldness that was there a second ago.
I blink slowly, raising my hands to remove his from my body. Drying the tears away from my cheeks I swallow, running a hand through my hair.
"I never asked Yoongi to tutor me. Go ask him yourself before lashing out on me another time." I muffle out, finally turning around and reach for the doorknob, noticing how Jin lets out a guilty blow of air as I step out of the room.
"Chi-Sun. . ." Is the last thing I hear Jin word out before the door closes behind me, letting me catch my breath properly and I can't help feeling annoyed with myself.
Annoyed about the fact that my name falling so effortlessly from his lips has my heart pounding so loud it echoes inside my head.
