"You better be joking?" Nandini was absolutely devastated, her head bursting out of all her nerves. Why is the universe always so hard on her?
The reputed 'SPACE ACADEMY' had their sports day for this academic session. And guess what the chief guest, who was the BDO officer found it funny to cancel his agreement. In spite of the positive reply he had sent weeks ago.
Nandini, who was the pupil leader of the academy, was astonished with extreme terror. Not only would the academy lose its reputation, her own parents who were the trustees won't even let her breath an oxygen atom around them without being guilty.
"The fuck am I supposed to do Mukti?" Nandini screamed groggily, her throat dry. Mukti who just got over with a fever felt herself get sad seeing her best friend in so much misery.
"It's alright, Nandu! We will figure something out." Mukti rubbed her palms over Nandini's arms trying to support her as much as she can. This girl was so precious, she didn't deserve any of these miseries.
"I don't know- "Nandini choked on her words, imagining the look of shame on parents face. She never wanted to disappoint them. All she ever wanted from them is love.
"Shh, everything's going to be okay. Yeah?" Mukti frowned, wondering whether everything will be indeed okay or not. For now all they need is to find an equally influential or more powerful person for this job.
Navya graced her presence inside the trial room the duo was on, mourning over their upcoming doom. Nandini took in a deep breath as her pupils dilated when she scanned Navya's face, which was filled with worry.
"I know what happened. And I may have an idea only if you both are comfortable listening." She addressed them with uncertainty in her face.
"HONESTLY Navya at this point, we have to do anything in our power to stop this mishap" Mukti cried out in frustration, her veins bubbling with hope.
"Yes Navya, please tell I would do anything." Nandini looked at her desperately, awaiting a way to escape this horrendous trap destiny played on her.
"Uhm, we could ask for Mr. Malhotra's help you know, since he has a pretty good influence in the political system." Navya muttered unsure of their reaction.
Nandini's eyes widened, while Mukti jumped up letting out a squeal, "Fuck, yes. Why didn't I think about it before? Nandini you should totally speak to him, he will definitely help you." Mukti grinned happily at her.
Navya cleared her throat, eyeing Mukti doubtfully, "but as far as I am aware Mr. Malhotra is a very shrewd businessman he doesn't help anyone until and unless he gains something." Navya informed cautiously.
Nandini fidgeted around Mukti's sleeves, She cleared her throat, "Mukti meant that I should at least go and try to convince him. You know since Dhruv's my boyfriend he can think of helping me." She grimaced thinking of convincing him by using Dhruv's name, if possible he would get angrier.
"Yeah right!" Navya nodded, finding it logical. But Mukti's sudden mischievous giggle still made her suspicious, Nandini elbowed Mukti and glared at her.
"I think the fever took a toll on Mukti's mental health" Nandini smiled a tight lipped smile at Navya, and dragged Mukti out of the trial room approaching towards the corridor.
"Mukti, if you ever speak a word about what happened last night to ANYONE! I am killing you!" Nandini spat at her, trying to intimidate her by dilating her pupils. Unfortunately it didn't work, Mukti rolled her eyes and smirked, "more like how that Greek god is whipped for you"
"SHUT IT" Nandini hissed, but couldn't control the spread of hue across her face.
Mukti was so silly she thought, as if that gorgeous man could ever be hers.

Nandini felt her heartbeat fasten when she knocked on Manik Malhotra's cabin door, in Malhotra Enterprises. She got to know from Dhruv, that Mr. Malhotra was at work now. Dhruv, who was already busy with the sports team didn't bother her questioning about her want for his father. Only if he knew.
If wasn't a bother for Nandini to convince the receptionist, all the staff already seemed to know who she was, her parents being occasional investor in the company aided her.
She knocked again, but still not no reply whatsoever. Being extremely short of time, she decided to be a little rude praying god for forgiveness, she opened the door and entered inside, only to witness the cabin to be entirely empty.
She cussed her luck, now what was she supposed to do. Wait or leave. She sat down on the silk black couch and decided to wait for few minutes. The occasion was due tomorrow. She didn't have much time to waste.
Nandini was completely in awe with the ambiance of the cabin. It was like this place complimented the beauty of its owner. Dark, intimidating and splendid.
She got up, and looked around the cabin in admiration. As she turned around, she heard the click of the door being unlocked, causing her palms to get sweaty out of nervousness, she knew he was there just few inches behind her but she was too afraid to turn around. Feeling guilty to invade his space without his consent. Is he angry? Was he going to scold her?
"Well, what do we have here!" she gasped when she heard him behind her, his voice being extremely low and dark, was he restraining himself from something? Nandini frowned.
When she felt his breath on her hair, she froze unable to breathe or move, afraid of any contact with him would put her to edges she never wanted to experience. She took a deep breath, she was here to just get her work done and nothing else, she reminded herself.
He brushed his hands on her lower back, slightly gliding them against her waist. He lips touched her ears making him let out a low grunt, "Do you want something? Sweetheart." He whispered above the rim of her collarbones, making her take a shuddering breath.
"I just wanted a favor from you, Mr. Malhotra "she whispered, almost feeling like fainting in his arms due to the warmth and happiness it gave her. "Name it" Manik smirked breathlessly when he saw her being so intimidated by him, he found her extremely adorable at his mercy.
He moved back, allowing her breathing to go a little normal again. "Just name it, I would do anything and everything in my power to help you." He grinned, finding it so amazing that she found him as her aid.
"Uhm, I just-"
"Look into my eyes and beg for it, love" he demanded, wanting nothing more than to look at those attractive pair of hazel eyes which can bring him to his knees with just one glance.
She widened her eyes in both nervousness and fear when she turned around to face him. Her eyes finding it difficult to move away from his heavenly frame. Why was Manik Malhotra so fucking attractive? And that fucker knew, the way his smirk grew made Nandini both frustrated and wet at the same time.
She wanted nothing more than those attractive pair of veiny hands with rings to leave mark in her skin. She was going crazy just with his talks, what will she do when he would touch her that would be so embarrassing to melt away in his contact. She didn't know whether to be afraid or turned on. Maybe both.
She cleared her throat and stood straight, ready to talk business, Manik almost let out a slight smile on her adorable attempt to look serious and intimidating. Cute little kitten.
"Mr. Malhotra, I would be very thankful if you would please arrange a chief guest for our sports day, Mr.Dixit has cancelled his participation at last minute and we are extremely concerned about this." She spoke confidently, genuinely concerned about her academy's reputation.
"Alright." Manik nodded at her, extremely angry on Mr.Dixit to trouble his pretty girl like that. Those frowns were not made to be decorating her face he would rather prefer decorating it with something else.
"You will?" Nandini let out a happy squeal, forgetting about her surroundings for a moment. She was so relieved suddenly.
"Yeah" Manik smirked, "but"
"But?" Nandini frowned, extremely confused with his constraint.
"I want a little favor too"
