The three of them made their way quietly up the stairs leading to the opening of the upper deck, with the siblings on either side of their new friend Koby. (Y/N) goes to tightened the hat around her head, and made sure the bracelet a certain someone gave her was still around her wrist, having a feeling something was bound to go wrong up there.

They all lift up the hatch carefully to peek their heads out of it, spotting many sleeping and snoring pirates all around them on the cold, hard deck. Koby and Luffy hold the hatch open for (Y/N) to carefully slip out first onto the wood, as she bent down to hold it open for them to join her.

"Lifeboats are tied at the stern of the ship." Koby tells them in a whispering tone to not wake up everyone else, and gentle closed the latch back down once they were all outside on the snoring deck.

(Y/N) made a funny face at all the male's sleeping on the floor around them, keeping her feet in her spot away from pirates, as she felt really bad for them, and also grossed out at how easily they slept on the cold surface.

Luffy grabbed a hold of her hand seeing his sister lagging behind distracted by the pirates, tugging her along with him as they followed Koby up some more stairs leading to where the captain's wheel was. The snoring was getting louder also now, which didn't bother them since the trio was further away from the noise.

Her (E/C) eyes land on a oar laying against the wet wood, which made her face bighted up in excitement as she breaks free from Luffy's side, who panicked watching her bend down to pick it up, "Gonna need one of these, right Lu?" She questioned smugly while leaning against it a little.

"Head due north. You should hit land in a few days." Koby whispered to them, lips twitching up into a small smile and nods his head at them in a farewell.

Both the siblings looked to each other hearing that in confusion, repeating back his words with a questing tone as (Y/N) turned her body around fully with the big oar in between her hands. However, her boot slightly slipped against the floor which made the oar actually slam straight into the bell on the wheel, and it made a loud clang that woke up everyone.

Her body shock slightly from the sudden vibrations traveling through her, causing Luffy to grab onto her shoulders, as she slowly looked back around to the wide eyed males with a sheepish smile chuckling nervously, "Oops..?"

"What the hell is going on up there?" Alvida's strict voice was heard yelling from down below, just as all the pirates were sitting up from their sleep to see what was happening, and the captain walked up to the stairs to where they were.

Koby backs off to where the siblings were standing confidently in the middle of everyone, feeling his fear now kicking in seeing Alivda right in front of them, wearing an unimpressed expression, "What's the meaning of this?"

"Alvida, I can explain-" The pink haired male tried to come out with an excuse, his eyes wide in panic as he glanced back and forth from the captain to the unbothered duo next to him.

"You dare betray me to bounty hunters?" She sneered out to Koby with venom, narrowing her eyes down on him which had him gulping, and frantically shaking his head to protect himself.

"No, that's not it at all-"

Alvida's gaze moved away from the boy who she treated like trash, and scoffed seeing (Y/N) standing there with a deadpanning face with Luffy, as she directed her next words at him, "And you, you're to scrawny to be Roronoa Zoro.

The (H/C) haired girl snapped out of her day dreaming realising the captain was talking to Luffy, and it made her chuckle amused, while flipping the oar around sideways, "No, he's not. That's Monkey D. Luffy, and I'm Monkey. D (Y/N)."

"Never heard of you two." Alvida bluntly brushed them off slipping on her clothes, which was her white pirate hat and coat that reached down to her booted feet, as she adjusted her captains hat around her head.

"Well, remember the names," Luffy started off in a cheeky tone, mouth raised up into a bright grin that showed his teeth, and pointed his thumb at his sisters in emphasis, "'cause we're gonna be the Kings of the Pirates."

His bold statement made all the pirates around them break into a cackling laugher, finding it humours that these two nobody's were really thinking they could be what they said, "You must be new around here, kids." Alvida talks through her chuckling, lips twitching upwards into a smug smirk, "because who is the most powerful pirate on the seas?

"Captain Alvida!" All her crew went to yell out in a chanting cheer, raising their drinks up also to show they meant the declaration, expect Koby and the siblings didn't say anything.

Her once prideful expression was slipped away realsing Koby didn't join in, as it shifts into one of annoyance and a cold one slamming her weapon onto the deck, "I'm sorry. I didn't hear you, Koby. Who's the most powerful pirate on the seas?"

Koby scrunched his knuckles up by his side in fear feeling intimidated by her ways, mouth opening and closing to try and speak but nothing came out. However, a soft hand came to place down onto his shaking one, causing his head to snap up spotting (Y/N) smiling sweetly at him, which made him somewhat relax, but it didn't last for long because of Alvida.

"Answer me, you sniveling runt." She threatened darkly with gritting teeth, fingers gripping her weapons handle tighter not gaining anything back from him, which she normally did very easily.

"He doesn't have to." Luffy casually interrupted the one sided conversation, sharing a look with his sister who smiled cheekily in response in between the boys, "Koby's his own man."

"No. No, he's not." Alvida shakes her head with a tongue click, pursing her lips in a condescending smile as she tilted her head them eerily, "He's mine, and he'll always be mine."

(Y/N) moved her side a little bit protectibly in front of Koby hearing that claim, flipping around the oar in hands towards Luffy who easily caught it, "That's not what he told us, sour face." She comments with attitude, growing more smug when Alvida's eye twitched at the nickname, and glanced at Luffy to carry on.

He pushed the oar's bottom into the wood with a heavy thump, holding it up with one hand now as he joined in on the nagging, "He said that you were mean. And cruel. And that you're as dumb as a sea cow!"

"No, Captain Alvida! I didn't-!" Koby tried to quickly protest seeing her face scrunching up into a look of rage, as she went to yell out lifting up her weapon to use it against the trio in front of her.

Before she could hit them with the massive metal weapon, (Y/N) made Koby duck with her arm pulling him down as she twisted herself out of the way, with Luffy moved himself back just as the weapon swiped past them.

Alvida eerily turned her head back around to them when her weapon landed back against the floor, baring her teeth in a fit of rage seeing them all unhurt, as she lifts the Iron Mace again to swing it at them.

(Y/N) pushed Koby to safety by her shoulder seeing the weapon coming, just dodging the thing herself with Luffy beside her holding the oar, as they both bump into someone grunting in alarm.

Alvida blindy swings her weapon around in the middle once more to hit them, but the two easily bent their bodies back to slip underneath it, and made the captain end up hitting one of her own crew members into some supplies.

"Whoo!" Luffy released a little cheer when they popped back up from their positions, handing someone behind them the oar as he pulled (Y/N) by beside him who wanted to remain sitting down.

A male wearing a black bandanna pulled out his gun from his belt, holding it up to the siblings in the middle of everyone, as he goes to realse a bullet. Though (Y/N) quickly stepped in front of it to swiftly catch the object in her hand, a wisp of orange flame surrounding it now as she melted the thing into nothing shocking the pirates watching.

"I really hate doing that-" She winched through her teeth, shaking out her hand that she used her power on. She didn't notice the pirates gasping with fear backing away from them now, but Luffy did making a proud smile cross him for his sister and them.

This time when Alvida went to swing the spiked Iron Mace at them both, Luffy grabbed his sisters arms to pull her out of the way to behind him, this time being his turn to save her. He made his stomach stretch to avoid the weapon, which avoided them both easily, and it ended up slamming into something on the ship.

"What kind of monsters are you?" Alvida panted out in slight fear but confusion, growing irritated that her hits that were normally supposed to hit were in fact not doing it's job.

(Y/N) scrunched her nose up a bit offended at that rude comment placed upon them, moving beside Luffy's side to show herself as she run her fingertips along her straw hat's brim smirking, "The fiery, and stretchy kind."

Alvida growled in another blind fit of rage brining her weapon back up with both hands, as it landed onto her shoulders ready to swing it down on them where they stood. However once again, the two used their powers to easily avoid the hit.

Luffy stretched out his rubber arms towards the rope on top of them, grabbing onto those with his hands as he let himself be tugged up by them. While (Y/N) used her fire force to boost herself up there by the bottoms of her boots, and held onto one of ropes in front of Luffy.

Koby had a wide grin on his face watching the siblings at work, as their ones grew bigger spotting his one on them, and chuckled teasingly down at Alvdia who looked madder then ever watching from below.

The two then begin to mavonver their bodies around to climb across the ropes carefully, Luffy holding onto one of them as he grabbed (Y/N)'s waist in a secure hold to swing them towards the end of the ship. He knew what his sister was like with heights, so he helped her to safety.

Alvida released a grunt under her breath seeing them just messing around with her, weapon placed on her shoulder as she marched up to where they were hanging, and the others go to follow after.

"Probaly should end this fight, Lu." (Y/N) whispered to her brother with a knowing smile, arms around his shoulders to hold herself up to from falling down, even though he wouldn't allow that to happen, ever.

He giggled like a child to her in response, and nodded his head in agreement as he slipped them down by his hand on the rope. He made sure she touched the floor gently first near the wheel, and he jumped off soon after right next to her, as they both leant against the wheel smugly.

Alvida yells out a battle cry bringing up her Mace to smash straight into the wheel, just as the siblings spring backwards into a handstand flip to avoid getting hit. And because of her Mace slamming into the wood, the lantern placed on it broke also which caused it to catch on fire and completely destroyed it.

The duo both land in sync beside a surprised Koby to see them next to him together, and shared grins with him who blinked rapidly. Alvida yelled distressed seeing her precious wheel now burning, and turned her raged gaze towards Koby screaming, "You! This is all your fault!"

She raised up her Mace once more above her through a shout to bring it down on Koby, who's eyes were wide, and was about to expect his fate. But without any communicating with each other, (Y/N) swiftly pulled Koby to safety by the arm, while Luffy stopped the Mace with his bare head.

The Mace was squished into his rubbery head as he grunts against the weight, and easily pushes it back up away from them. Avida yelled in panic when she was shoved away by her Mace also, breathing heavily as she turned back around to the siblings.

(Y/N) had her muscular arms around Koby's body in a protective way, eyes narrowed down on Alvida in warning from behind her brother. Luffy lifted his hat up a little bit, now getting serious for a change, and grunts out, "That's enough."

"We need to move right now-" She whispered yelled to Koby who was inches shorter then her, tugging him with her a bit away from her brother knowing what he was about to do, as Koby gave her a lost expression.

"Gum Gum..." Luffy made his arm stretch all the way out behind him into the darkness, that hand forming a fist as he scrunched it up tight, "Pistol!" He yelled brining back his arm to punch straight into Alvida, who screamed as she was sent flying off the side of the boat.

His arm comes slithering back into its normal length just hearing the water splash from her body hitting it, as (Y/N) jumps on her brothers back with a happy laugh, causing him to catch her by the legs with a giggle of his own back at her.

"Anyone else got a problem with Koby?" Luffy called out to the other pirates all watching the scene in disbelief, his hands still holding up his sister on his back, and heard all the males nervously answering their agreement.

Once they were satisfied with the response giving from the pirates, she hopped off of her brothers back and skipped back to Koby as she lopped their forearms together, "Come on. We're gonna need a boat and enough food for a few days."

Koby made a small noise of confusion, a flustered expression taking over as he glanced from their arms together, and back up to the siblings faces, "M-me?"

"Yeah!" She chirped with a joyful giggle, head tipping back to revel her eyes underneath the straw hat covering her head, and grinned brightly at him, "You're coming with us, right?"

.......

Once everything was unpacked off from the ship, they crew all went to the famous bar in the Windmill Village, as their loud cheery voices carried through the area. Off to the side around one of the tables, was Shanks patching up Luffy's wound on his cheek, while (Y/N) was perched on Shank's left thigh while holding one of her brothers hands in hers.

"At least you didn't get your eye." The red haired male stated, fingers busy working on pulling the stich through the cut as he bites back a smile seeing Luffy's annoyed expression.

"I was aiming for it, but I missed." He stated grumpily which caused (Y/N) to squeeze his hand very tightly in a scolding way, which followed by the Shanks finishing off the stich that hade him making a pained noise, "Ow."

"I thought you said you were tough, Lu." She teased in a playful tone, giggling sweetly as she rested her head against Shank's shoulder, and grinned at her brother.

"I am!" He protested trying to look cool for her, even though she already thought he was the best, and directed his dark eyes back on Shanks cutting the thread off, "Don't stitch it too good, I want everyone to see my scar."

"Scars don't make the man, Luffy." Shanks retorted snipping away the excess thread away from the stich, as he placed it into a pile on the table, and tapped Luffy's cheek, "It's the lesson behind the scar, and you didn't earn this one."

"Then let me earn it. Me and (N/N) we'll be the best pirates ever." He declared confidently lifting his hand being hold by (Y/N) for emphasis, "Look, I've been practcing what my face is gonna look like on my wanted poster." He scrunched his nose up with a fierce expression, making his sister giggle seeing it.

Shanks smiled a little at the two with a soft chuckle, moving his leg a bit to make her giggle some more, "I've no doubt your mug will be on a wanted poster one day." He pressed an alcohol soaked cloth against Luffy's cheek, causing him to wince, "But you're not ready."

"Will I be on a wanted poster one day, too?" She innocently asked while tilting her head sideways cutely up at Shanks, and fiddled with his straw hat's loop string wearing the blue bracelet he gave her recently.

The red haired male grinned gently down at his daughter figure, placing away the materials he used before, and playfully pinched her nose in between his pointer and thumb, "Not with how cute you are, but you'll definitely be at the highest of bounties."

She squealed in response to his answer she wanted to hear, pushing his hand away from her nose as she giggled through a toothy grin, and wrapped her arms around his neck to rest against him.

"My ship already had an anchor." Shanks continued on before to Luffy who smiled at their interaction, but went back to frowning knowing he wasn't letting him join anytime soon.

"I'm not an anchor!"

Taking a swig of his alcohol drink he placed that back down once done, using his hand that wasn't holding (Y/N) against him to point at Luffy's shirt. He followed where the finger was, for him to only get tapped on the nose by Shanks.

Chuckling at Luffy's frowning face to his playful trick, he stood up with his drink in one hand while she was perched on his hip again, which was normal for these two. It was one of the many reasons why Shanks hated going away, because he didn't want to leave her alone back at home. They were attached by the hip, and quiet literally as well.

Her chin rested on his shoulder with an upset watching her brother stomp away from them, and towards where the treasure was getting kept. Normally she would follow his lead like a puppy, but right now she was too comfortable to hope down, and hoped her brother didn't do anything dangerous while she wasn't with him,

"There you go, Captain." One of the crewmates handing Shanks a half drunken bottle of whisky, waving a small greeting to (Y/N) who returned it happily still perched on Shank's hip.

He nodded in thanks for the supply as he moved to stand in between two of his friends, other arm holding onto her securely that didn't have a drink in it. He placed the bottle down seeing her wanting to grab it curiously, which had him chuckling amused with a kiss pressed against the side of her head.

However, the once lively environment suddenly became serious, the air thickened with tension as a few unfamiliar faces came walking up the stairs leading into the bar area, and into where all the pirates stopped what they were doing on edge.

"Bring us your best whiskey." The man leading the small group ordered the bar keep, Makino who glanced to (Y/N) straight away and to Shanks sharing a knowing look with him, from where she stood cleaning up tables.

She picked up the bowls of food left on the table, having a blue rag in the other one as she walked back around to behind the bar past them, "I'm afraid we're out."

Shanks felt the little girl in his arms tense up at the unfamiliar male's voice, which made him hold her more protectively against his side, "That'd be our fault, friend. We've, uh, been doing some celebrating." He tells him chuckling, and holds his drink up with his other hand to motion to the place, "We've drunk the place dry, but..." He grabs the other bottle of whiskey once he put the other down, "perhaps this will make up for it."

The male's eyes looked over (Y/N)'s figure in Shank's arms as her face was hidden in the crook of his neck, and the staring caused Shanks to tightened his hold on her, looking back at him in warning as he didn't want the other's to find out who she really was.

Stopping the stare down with Shanks he grumbles grabbing the half empty bottle, and glanced down at it broadly, "What are we supposed to do with one bottle?"

"Generally, you drink it."

He chuckles with fake humour at Shank's answer, bringing down the bottle to smash it against the counter, which made the liquid and glass go flying everywhere. In response to this, the crew quickly load their weapons and (Y/N) cowers more scaredy into Shank's body, gripping the back of his white shirt in her knuckles.

Shanks leaned up more from his slightly slouched spot, pursues his lips in thought looking between the male, an the mess on the floor unbothered, "Now there's glass everywhere."

The other male grunted lowly standing up in the middle of the bar to square Shanks up, who still remined unbothered as his main focus was the girl in his arms right now, "Makino, got a mop?" He questioned the bar keeper, turning to her with both arms around (Y/N) now, "And can you take her, please?"

Makino made a humming noise to signal she understand, handing him a broom as she gently took (Y/N) out of Shank's arms who was making complaining noises to go back to him, worried he would do something to hurt himself.

Shanks grabbed the broom in both of his hands, sending the girl a quick reassuring wink before he got to sweeping the glass up on the floor, which irritated the new faces inside the bar.

Chuckling bitterly again the male used his entire arm to knock down more things off the bench, and it created a loud clanging noise while the his men laugh, "Since you like cleaning so much."

Shanks doesn't flinch back when the male got close to his face to feel threating, but he just stared with a neutral face, and went back to silently cleaning up, as the group of bullies left the area seeing no point of staying around.

As the group did walk away Shanks' crew began to laugh as well, finding the entire thing amusing knowing their captain was just going easy on them, "He got you good, huh, Cap'n?"

"You got a mop?" Another mocked his question to the woman bar keep, Makino as they all continued to laugh louder with their Captain.

Shanks grinned widely in response to their behaviour, handing back to broom to Makino and picked up (Y/N) from on the counter by under her arms to spin her around, as she giggled the loudest from the sudden embrace.

"Why are you laughing?! How could you let him insult you like that?!" Luffy yelled finally arriving to the party, as his eyes glanced around them all before landing on Shanks last. He understood why he didn't go all out because of (Y/N) being there, but he still expected Shanks to at least say something back in defence.

"All he did was spill a drink on me." Shanks claimed placing (Y/N) onto the ground, who automatically gripped onto his pants materials closely, and waved a little in greeting to her brother, who ignored her efforts right now.

"But you should've fought back!" Luffy exclaimed incredulously, and took a few stomping steps up the stairs leading into the wooden bar area, "Why didn't you kick his ass?"

Shanks glanced up from the girl placing her shoed feet onto his ones to Luffy, before walking back to the counter with her following his moves, "Not everything can be solved with violence. A man needs to be strong, but he also needs to be good."

"You're not a real man." Luffy snapped out with venom coating his tone, marching up towards where the two were and glared up at his role model, "You're nothing but a coward."

Shanks licked his lips for a second, placing his elbow onto the counter to face the younger boy, and raised his brows knowingly, "You see? I told you, you weren't ready."

Groaning he goes to stomp away from the male, making (Y/N) quickly act to grab onto her brothers wrist, "Wait, Lu!" She exclaimed, not expecting his arm to stretch out the more he walked away from them with his back turned.'

Their eyes widen seeing this difference about him, and she yelps scared letting him go, which slinged him back and tumbling down the stairs in a heap, making another one of Shanks' worst nightmares come true, "What have you done?"

"You ate a devil fruit?" Koby questioned Luffy flabbergasted from the story they told them, as the trio were now in a pink dingy slowly sailing away from the burning up ship in the new day's light.

"I didn't know any better." Luffy shrugged his shoulders with a proud look that had his sister sending him the evil eye, "But mind was a Gum Gum fruit. It turned my body into rubber." He stretched the side of his face, and it slapped back when he let go grinning, "Huh?"

Koby glanced around their surrounding which was just the blue ocean, and wondered where exactly or what the plan was now, as he held both oars, "So now what? We have to be going somewhere, right?"

"We are going somewhere." (Y/N) clarified his words chuckling, lifting the brim of her straw hat to look at Koby better, and leant back against Luffy's legs along the boat, "Next stop, to the Grand Line remember?"

"Do you guys know how to get there?" At Koby's sudden question of truth, both of the siblings faces' dropped into a deadpanning ones realising they didn't, "You can't navigate. You don't even have a map!"

She turned her head towards her brother in deep thought beside her, face scrunching up in disgust seeing his picking his nose, which had her slapping his hand away in a scolding way, "Good point, Koby. We defifney need one to get there, dang."

"Maybe I've made a mistake." Koby whispered to himself, second guessing his decision as he started to overthink and glanced down away from the duo, "I never should've left Alvida."

Luffy sat up from his laying down position hearing this, sharing a small look with his sister before leaning forward with an arm resting on his knee, "Koby, if you could do anything in the world right now, what would it be?"

He didn't answer for a few seconds to think to himself, before gripping the one oar he had tighter and exhaled slowly, "I guess there is one thing, but..." The siblings perked up waiting to hear what it it was, "it's dumb."

They both deflated instead of cheering for him, and (Y/N) sighed to herself having a feeling it wasn't, it was just Koby being afraid to admit it. Luffy stood up from his spot beside her, making his way through the boat and slapped Koby across the cheek, causing her to gasp in shock.

"What was that for?!"

"You being dumb! Now spit it out."

Koby rubs the sore spot Luffy had hit with his hand, brining it back down when the duo sat closer to him paitently waiting for him again, "I've kind of..." He trailed of shyly before meeting (Y/N)'s encouraging smile that made him speak on, "I've always wanted to be a Marine. Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to protect people that can't protect themselves."

Her smile was as bright as the sun itself beaming down from them up above, stretching so wide that the corner of her eyes were scrunching up from how much she was beaming at Koby's dream. People did always tell her that one day, she'd kill someone with that smile of hers.

Koby grew embarrassed seeing her and Luffy's reactions, feeling flustered in the face as he fumbles to grab the other oar in his right hand, "I told you guys it was dumb."

"If that's what you want, I know you should do it." She encouraged joyfully through that grin still up, and lifted her braceleted hand gently patted his holding the oars, "We'll help you out."

"You don't even know me."

"We shared a meal, Koby." Luffy remined with a beam of his own, and nods his head in agreement, "And if being a Marine is your dream..." He pointed a finger to his sister and back to him, "that's good enough for us."

She ruffled his pink hair softly, grinning hearing his groan of complaining, and stood up from her spot on the seat to move towards the back, "So you plot a course to the next Marine base, me and Lu get our map, and you can join up." She clasped her hands together happily, and sat down on the bigger seat in the boat.

"Alright, I'm gonna take that nap now." Luffy announced yawing, getting up to walk over to where his sister was and plonked himself on the seat, his head resting on her lap like normal when he did this.

"You guys can't just waltz into a Marine base and ask for a map to the Grand Line!" Koby exclaimed incredulously at them both, and moved his hands around in emphasis to show how stressed it was about them being so calm.

"Don't worry," Luffy began in reassurance, taking off his straw hat to place it over his head and got comfortable laying on his sisters lap, legs resting on the edge of the boat, "we're stealthy."

At the same time he claimed that was true, an explosion from the ship the siblings took down suddenly went off, which made (Y/N) wince spotting the fiery mess and Koby to gasp nervously, "Yeah. Super stealthy..."

im so excited to write the next chap cause zoro bae is coming in and OMG THE THINGS I HAVE PLANNED GUYSSS UGH i just know yall will LOVEEE it all like trustttt meee when i say that 😮‍💨

so the troupes i kinda have for the trio's love square thing is like y/n falls in love with zoro first, but he falls harder for her, and sanji falls in love with y/n first but she falls harder for him, that's what i have going for this fic right now and i really do like it fr
