Inside one of the many rooms of the massive mansion, Kaya and Nami's figure were huddled together staring up with wide eyes in fear at Kuro, who stood over them with a wicked smirk getting ready to land the final blow on Kaya with his long, sharp knifes.

"Goodbye, Miss Kaya." Just as he went to bring his hand down full of the knifes, something or rather someone had stopped him from doing so mid air. Seeing a familiar orange mist around his wrist, followed by a stretchy hand grabbing it.

Kuro slowly turns his head following along the arm holding him back, and saw the glaring Monkey D. sibling duo, the ones who stopped him from hurting them.

"Ah." He pushes his arm out of their hold, making Luffy's hand fly back to him from its stretchy state, and (Y/N) to drop hers outstretched in front of her.

"These are our friends." Her voice was so dangerously low that even Kuro was fearing or his life for once, and the pupils of her eyes were now filled with a tint of gold orange, "You don't get to mess with them."

Adjusting his glasses with his palm Kuro match the glare despite the fear he felt, and seethes back at her in response, "You are annoyingly resilient."

"Tell that to the skills I wield." She smugly smirked at him showing her teeth, tipping the brim of the hat on her head to him, and sent a nod to Luffy of reassurance, signaling that she could fight this guy alone for now.

Kuro bared his many knifes up to his face scowling, and zoomed up to her quite quickly which took her by surprise, but acted faster to send a punch his way, for him to only flash away again.

She brings her fist back down to her side, gazing around with her fox like eyesight now, and was still unable to spot the pirate inside the room, as his voice echoed now also, "Did you really think you could get the best of me? I'm Kuro of the Thousand Plans."

Kaya and Nami rush over to the fallen Usopp's side near one of the sheet covered paintings, with Luffy already there crouched in front of them in case they needed protection, and was watching his sister closely getting ready to jump into the fight if necessary.

"Then come out and fight me." She demanded irritated at his hiding game, moving her eyes away from the group near the side, and glanced over her shoulder now to try find Kuro.

"No, you poor, poor little girl." His figure made a swooshing sound indicating he had moved away from his spot, and his voice was now heard all around her, "So you think you want to be a pirate? Someone who has imaginable power but can't even use it?"

(Y/N) narrowed her gaze onto a beam right across from her having a sense he was lurking there, as she digged her nails into her palms, and grunted out in defence, "I am a pirate, who does know how to use my skills."

He laughs menacing through his teeth, making it tens times scary since it was still echoing around the room for her ears to hear, "And now long have you been on the sea? A week? A month?"

He reveals himself to her, which happened to be right behind as his knifes make a rustling sound moving them, "I was a captain for years, and I never failed in a raid. Not once. And what did I get in return? A life of worry and a target on my back as wide as the East Blue."

She jumped back a few steps quickly feeling his knifes now just swipe her skin, heartbeat pumping faster now in slight fear, but yet her rage still overpowered it.

Exclaiming she sends a airblast at him from her punch, but he easily dodged with a turn of his head, and she gritted her teeth at another miss that should of been a hit, as he disappeared from her view again.

"Is that what you want? A lifetime of always looking over your shoulder," He reappeared a few meters in front of her with a cackling laugh, causing her to flinch a bit at the noise and clench her fists tighter, "You'll never get a peaceful night's rest because someone's always waiting to slit your throat. Pirates, Marines. Why, even your own crew."

Kuro's words circled around the room along with him, which confused her as she gripped the side of her head a bit, and saw Luffy's confident look he was staring at her with.

Sighing out to calm herself down, she rolled her shoulders back, and glared at another pillar she began to walk slowly towards, "Not our crew. We've got each other's backs. Always."

A sudden blur passed her vision quite quickly as she yelled out a bit in shock, when the blades slice across her cheek, and left four medium sized cat like cuts. She fell back a bit in pain, touching the wounded spot hesitantly with one hand, and cradled her cheek.

Luffy exclaimed his sisters name seeing this, going to get up to help her, but felt his stomach churn worriedly as she held up bloody hand for him to stop, and sent a reassuring grin despite the scarlet liquid now dripping down her cheek.

"Until the day they don't. I've killed more crewmates than I care to remember." Kuro's taunting voice was back around the room again, a maniac glint in his eyes now looking at her blood on his knifes, "They're expendable. Every single one of them, including your own flesh and blood."

This hit a nerve for her hearing how easily he was talking about killing friends, and his family, "That's bullshit! Being a pirate is not about raiding village or perfect plans." She exclaimed in an angry voice, smudging the blood on her cheek now as some of it was dripping onto the floor, "It's about adventure. And freedom."

He just laughs taunting at her definition of a pirate, her narrowed gaze catching glimpses of the man as he zipped by in the corner of her eyes, "Freedom? Someone like you having that? There's no such thing with your destiny, and a bounty on your head."

She turns her head over her shoulder a bit confused hearing his end words, not really knowing what he was blabbering about, "You gave up on your dream, Kuro. No one who does that can ever call themselves a pirate." She gritted out through her teeth, looking around listening to the sounds of his laughing, and zipping from one place to another.

"What is she doing?!" Nami whispered yelled in concern to Luffy hitting his arm, as they all watched (Y/N) now take a deep exhale and close her eyes in the middle of the fight, which made three out of the four on their toes.

He just placed a finger up to his mouth signalling to be quiet, and gentle tapped her hand on his forearm giving a determined smirk, "Just watch and see, she's got this."

(Y/N) was relaxing her rapid heartbeat in her ears to control that, and let herself really focus on the sounds around her, as her enhanced senses were now coming into play thanks to the Nine Tail. Her eyes move underneath her closed eyelids frantically, as she latched onto the sound of Kuros moving figure around the room.

"Looks like you're the one giving up now, little girl." He jeered at her in a whisper, which was right beside her ear as he trails his knifes dangerously down her arm, and disappeared before she could even react to the unwelcomed touch. Luckily because Luffy was close to breaking his promise to stay back, and knock him out.

"No. I'm done talking, you weirdo." She points her fingertips on both hands together near her chest, and slowly brings them down as she takes a deep breath doing so, "Now I'm listening."

Kuro hides behind a pillar now, yet only with the sound of his boots moving slightly against the ground, as her eyes go flying open at that, and swipes her arms to side making a big chuck of the wood underneath him to slam up into him.

The piece that flew out uppercutted him under his jaw harshly, sending him fly out into the middle of the room away from hiding behind the pillar, as he exclaims landed onto the floor roughly.

She smiles a bit lopsided when his head slowly turned back over to her, the blood on her cheek now coming to a stop as she waves her hand in the air teasingly, "Didn't see that coming, did ya?"

He growls under his breath raged at getting hit so easily by her, slamming his long knifes onto the floor as he gets up now readying his blades to fight. Her fists get lifted also, making a 'come here' motion to him with her fingers chuckling excitedly.

Kuro yells now charging forward at the unbothered (Y/N), slashing around his blades around madly, as he no longer wanted to keep the powerful girl alive. Being taken over my emotions, he began to reveal his frantic and enraged demeanor, nothing like his calm one before.

She dodged this attacks by moving her body backwards away from him, keeping a hand on her hat to make sure it didn't fall off, and yelped a few times when the knifes almost chopped off a few strains of her hair.

Swiping down at her blindly still, she uses her airbending to push herself out of the way into a sideways twirl through the air, and exclaimed when she tripped onto her butt, just missing his knifes digging into the carpet near her face.

Nami and Usopp deadpanned at that, while Kaya had a worried face, and Luffy was laughing like a proud brother for his sister, knowing she was going to win nevertheless even if she was a bit clumsy.

"Oh, shi-" She squeaks out seeing Kuro's bared teeth, raged expression, as she rolls across the floor avoiding his knifes trying to stab her and airbends herself back up when she reached a dead end of the room.

Chuckling in disbelief but proud of herself for that move (Y/N) landed back up breathing heavily, and yelped jumping out of the way as he tried to slash her again with his long knifes. She skids along the floor a bit, stomping her boots into it to stop herself, and smirked tauntingly at Kuro, making another 'come here' motion.

As he went to aim his knifed fingers at her once more, she outstretched her hands quickly to grab onto his left wrist. A surprised face takes over her realising she did that, while he tried with his other hand, but she just snatched his wrist making them cross over each other.

His arms shook trying to fight back against the force she held him in, teeth being gritted as his arms now had misty orange wisps traveling along them, keeping him trapped under weight even more from her.

"So sorry about this-" She strained out with a smug grin that flashed her teeth, forcefully pulling apart his hands from crossing with her superhuman strength, and stared at his tear stained and sweaty face, "but you've gotta go."

Twisting her lower half she raised her leg up into the air, yelling as she sends a powerful airbending kick at Kuro's stomach, and it caused him to fly back out of the window, and broke the shudder into pieces.

(Y/N) released a visible exhale of air that mixed with the steam coming off her cheek, as the wound was now healing thanks to the powers and stares at the window she sent Kuro meeting his end out of.

"Whoo!" Usopp was the first to cheer breaking the silence in the room after the final blow, as all the others had massive grins over their faces, cheering with him now also.

Luffy ran up to his sister with his arms out laughing, picking her up into a hug by the waist, as she giggled happily when he span them around in circles, and whooped with the other three.

......

They all rushed down the stairs now after the defeat of Kuro into the main lobby area, while Zoro who won against the other servants was now opening the front doors, and let sunlight into the house since it was darker inside compare to out.

Sham hisses seeing Nami walking past her, as she was tied in some ropes with Buchi on the floor, and Nami smugly glanced down at her, giving a wink in response.

(Y/N) walked around to where Zoro was with Luffy trailing behind her closely, her fingers rubbing the spot on her cheek where the cut once was, but still felt the dry blood and forming scar now there.

Zoro's gaze found her shorter figure coming up to him now, hearing the others talking amongst themselves a bit away from them, and his expression darked a bit spotting the wound on cheek, hoping the person who did that was dead or he would do the honors gladly.

"Hey," He starts off in a soft husk, lifting up his right hand to gently place a few fingers under her chin and tilted her head up to him, eyes searching her doe ones for answers as his bandana slipped down, "What happened here?"

She made a noise of surprise in the back of her throat, thankful that everyone else was distracted right now, and gulped a bit nervously under his intense stare, "O-oh? Nothing really, I'm fine." She assured giving a sweet smile giggling, "It's healing anyways, so no worries here."

He narrowed his gaze a bit down on her suspiciously, causing her to squirm in her spot not use to this, as he brushed his rough thumb along her dry blood to wipe it off, and stepped back away from her crossing his arms like nothing just happened.

She gawked at him when he did this, lifting her fingers up to where he touched and felt the tips of her ears heat up flustered. Glancing down away from everyone, she used the top of the straw hat to cover her face, and listened quietly to the conversation.

"I'm sorry about the mess." Zoro now grunted out to Kaya, voice being a bit raspier than usual as he rested his hands on his three sword hilts, "You probably need some new staff."

"I think I'm done with staff for a bit." Kaya deems giving the so called cook and maid that worked for her, that were pirates all along, and Buchi snarls at her.

Zoro shuffled in his spot a bit as he saw (Y/N)'s figure still hiding her face, making him run his tongue along his front teeth pridefully, "Too bad we can't collect their bounty."

"No. No. The Marines already know where we are." Nami interjects knowingly glancing at her two captains, which gained Luffy's attention only, "We have to get out of here."

"Where are we gonna go?" (Y/N) now spoke up in question glancing up from under the brim of her hat, and fiddled with her bracelets nervously, as she points out the obvious, "We don't even have a ship."

"Yes, you do." Kaya suddenly claimed making everyone turn to her hearing it, as a smile tugs at Usopp's lips now looking at Kaya, who gave one back to him.

Both the Monkey. D siblings made matching smirks form over their mouths, sharing a cheeky look with each other before staring at Nami smugly, who rolled her eyes playfully at them knowing she lost their bet.

......

The group was now standing at the front of the massive sheep head ship, gazing at the beauty as the sound of workers, and hammering is heard around them in the shipyard.

"Wow." (Y/N) breathed out in awe staring at their hopefully new, and first actual pirate ship, as she stands with her brother in front of the others, "That looks like like your lawyer friend, Merry."

"Yes, he ran the shipyard after my parents passed." Kaya answered her remark looking at the ship with a bittersweet smile, and sighed softly to herself gripping the coat around her, "He was their dearest colleague. My oldest companion."

"Then his memory will live on." The Monkey D. girl declared sending a bright smile back at Kaya, before sharing a look with her brother who smirked back making her announce, "I herby name this ship the Going Merry!"

Kaya teared up a bit hearing this, face breaking out into a happy smile now staring at the girls back, "It's yours now." She stated gaining (Y/N)'s attention who turned back to her, "Your new home."

"Thank you, Kaya." She went up to stand in front of the said girl, reaching out to grasp Kaya's hand in hers and slipped off a yellow, and pink bracelet off her wrist into the others palm, "We don't have much, but here, take this."

The blonde gasped softly holding the handmade bracelet in her palm, staring down at it with awe, and gratefulness, "Thank you, (Y/N)." She whispered placing the jewellery onto her left wrist, and smiled fondly, "With this, I can always be reminded my friends are with me."

Her (E/C) eyes crinkled up from how big her grin was, and giggled sweetly patting the top of Kaya's, before turning around to Luffy throwing her arms up in the air, "Whoo!" She cheered happily jumping onto Luffy, who caught her spinning around and laughed with her.

"We did it!" The siblings go to bounce towards their other two crew members now, throwing their arms around Zoro and Nami's shoulders, who exclaimed surprised at their sudden embraces.

Once they were finished their celebration about getting a new ship, her eyes land on Usopp gazing longingly up at the Going Merry as an idea pops into her head now. Luffy tugged his sister forward with him by the wrist, and the two skipped over calling out, "Usopp! What are you waiting for? Get your stuff."

This made the man confused as he turned back to them, and furrowed his brows staring down, "What stuff?"

"You're coming with us. Right?"

His dark eyes widen in shock, and stuttered out seeing Kaya's figure in the corner of his eye now, "What?" He splutters looking towards his best friend walking over, and shakes his head, "No. I... I couldn't."

"Just come on already." Zoro urged monotony like normal, flicking his attention away from their ship and to the hesitant male, which gained a grin from his captain.

"Me and Lu are gonna need a great sharp shooter. Just like Yasopp." (Y/N) started off in a determined tone, taking a step forward to point a finger at his chest eagerly, "And we saw what you did back there. Sticking up for your friends. That's exactly the kind of guy we need on our crew."

"But..." Usopp trailed off with a conflicted glint in his eyes, glancing up into the distance with his thoughts only about Kaya's care, "I couldn't leave Syrup Village. What about Kaya? She needs me to take care of her."

The girl comes over to her loved one which made (Y/N) tug on her brothers shirt, and pulled him back a bit behind them, to let them have their talk before Usopp would join their crew.

"Usopp, you've been a great friend, but I think it's time I start taking care of myself." She takes his hand into hers gently, and leads them up to the platform near the ship, as she talked to him solemnly.

Nami and Zoro come up behind the siblings now seeing them standing back a bit, which had (Y/N) latching into Zoro's forearm with his black bandanna, and he didn't say anything about her wrapping her arms around him.

"But I said I'd never leave you. And don't you need help with the shipyard?"

Kaya smiled gentle at Usopp's kindness that he always showed her, as she squeezed his hand softly, "The shipyard was my parents dream. I think I might to something different." She claims gesturing to herself a bit, "Like study to become a doctor."

He also matched her expression for him, eyes glancing down away for a second as his heart was breaking a bit inside of his chest, "So... I guess this is goodbye."

"I'll see you again someday. And when I do, I expect to hear all the real adventures of Captain Usopp." She leant in to place her lips over his, and gave him a soft kiss that held more meaning than any words could express, as he soon melts into the touch as well.

At the sudden display from the two up front, it cause Nami to smile happily for them, Zoro to glance down at (Y/N) instead of them, who was hiding her embarrassed face under her hat and still clinging onto his forearm, and Luffy to look lost not knowing what was happeing.

"They... they do know me and (N/N) are the captains, right?" He rambled out to the others behind him, eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he pointed at him and his sister.

Nami pursed her lips placing a hand on his shoulder, as she nodded her head at him, "Let them have this one."

......

"Guys! Check it out!" Usopp comes charging into the kitchen through the open door, and walked over to the rest of the crew sitting around the Going Merry's kitchen table, "Using my unparalleled artistic talent-"

He pulls up the Monkey D. siblings arms to stand up when he arrived behind them, "I made us a new Jolly Roger for this ship."

He unrevealed it handing in to the innocently looking (Y/N), as he presented it to the others proudly chuckling, "Ta-da! I know. I know. My flair for design often leaves people speechless."

Luffy took the Usopp skull looking flag from his sister who was waving it around happily, and folded it back up to hand it back to the male, and patted his shoulder a little, "Me and my sister already drew our flag."

"Okay, but this one is so much better." Usopp chuckled it off and held up his flag again with the girl, as he gave her a bright grin seeing she was still helping him hold it.

"Neither of the flags are gonna scare anyone away." Zoro pointed out with a tired eye roll, his leg being bent to rest on the couch as his swords lay in between, and turned his attention to the three in front.

Usopp pulls the flag to wrap around his and (Y/N)'s shoulders in a blanket of sorts now, and it made her giggle amused at him, "Okay, but the Jolly Roger is supposed to reflect the captain."

"We are the captain." Luffy corrected firmly pointing at his sister, and back to him, as he placed his palm onto the metal table, "We are the Straw Hat crew."

Now Usopp joined in on the captain claiming, and leant forward a bit with a goofy smiling (Y/N) still under his flag not even paying attention, "They call me Captain Usopp."

"I am the captain. Us, captain. Captain me and my sister."

"The captain is the one that gets the ship and knows the most about the ship. I am-"

Their voices overlap each other as they argued more over who was the captain, and it caused Nami to break out into laugher, which made them stop their bickering hearing that unfamiliar sound from her.

Zoro chuckles giving a brief soft glance to (Y/N) seeing her beaming face at Nami, and turned back to look out of the window now, as Usopp backs off with a grin raising his hands a bit, "Okay!"

"You see?" Luffy patted Usopp's chest a bit also grinning widely, and looked back to the other two with his arms outstretched a bit happily, "This is what it's all about. From now on, it's all gonna be smooth sailing."

Suddenly the sound of canon firing outside is heard, followed by an explosion that rattles the entire boat. It caused (Y/N) and Usopp to latch onto each other, their arms wrapped around each other under the flag as their cheeks squish together, and also steadied Luffy on her other side as the ship knocked them all off balance.

"What was that?" Usopp asked in a small voice, gripping onto the two near him tighter as they hear another canon fire on the Going Merry, causing fear to set in.

"You had to open your mouth." Nami grumbles at Luffy getting up from the couch with Zoro, and the trio all split up as they rush out of the kitchen, and to outside of deck of the ship.

Nami ran up the set of stairs first leading up the main deck of the ship, and gasped out seeing what was incoming on their ship, "Marines! We're under attack!" She yelled out to the crew, just as another canon fires at them hitting the water just short of the boat.

(Y/N) grabbed the telescope Zoro handed out for her take, walking up to where the railing was as her brother and Zoro stand behind her now. She placed the scope up to her left eye, glaring through it to spot who was trying to attack them on the Marines boat.

Her jaw drops in disbelief seeing who was standing with Koby on the other boat, a bright and excited expression taking over her features as she pulled down the telescope, and exclaimed out, "Grandpa!"

"Grandpa!?"

guys i was so close to not writing this chap i swear omg i couldn't get started for some reason like
my brain wasn't braining at the time LMAOAO but im glad i did write it in the end cause SANJI MY BELOVED COMES IN NEXT CHAPTERRRR YESSSSS AHAJDWWCECE 🤭🤭

im gonna rip my eyes out when i finish this fic pls its my pride and joy and i don't want it to end fr :((
