the day of april's rescue you made it your mission to find her father, as the days passed you felt bad for the girl and you decided to try and be there for her but every time you turned around donnie was following her like a lost puppy.

you had nothing against young love (you spent a lot of time giggling and blushing at romantic novels daydreaming about the same things happening to you) but the way you met, and the way she always knew a little to much, made you doubt a little of her innocence.

still you wanted to be objective and you tried to be kind, so when she arrived at the lair running, almost without breath, hair in all directions and papers in hands you listened to her whit out saying anything as she explained to all of you of a new discover about the krangs.

and when your sensei told you to go see this possible hideout you ran to prepare for whatever would've happened that night; still doubting of the redhead even if you knew the bad feeling in your stomach wasn't about the new girl but something much worse.

april donnie and leo were in the living room and she gave them the indication to the building as they scribbled on the map trying to find the best place to wait.

mickey was seated right next to you on the sofa and he saw the way you tried to be nice even if something was telling you to do the opposite, he offered you a slice of pizza that you eat whit out thinking twice as you moved your focus from the trio on the floor to the kitchen.

"i'm gonna get something to drink, need anything?"

mickey knew you needed some time with his brother and even if his throat was begging him to just drink something he declined your offer moving down near his brothers offering you a smile.

you went to the kitchen but you didn't even pretended to open the fridge, you seated near raph but you didn't say anything as you both watched spike eat; he knew you had something to say but he didn't want to push you and comfortable silence had never been an issue for the both of you.

so he waited. he waited for you to talk about how you hated the new girl, for you to say how you were afraid of the feeling in your guts, or simply to say some joke to break the ice; because he knew everything you had in mind and he knew you wanted to talk about it.

but you didn't say anything, you kept your mouth shut until you felt like trowing up, like the words needed to be spill, so you asked.

"what do you think of her?"

"don't know"

"how- what does that even mean? you have to think something about her"

"she's here cause she needs help, it's not like we're best buddy or things like that"

you were exasperated, you couldn't understand how he could say something like that. if you met someone you have to have an idea of them, right?

"alright but-"

he stopped you mid sentence as he started to understand that this talk was pointless.

"[name] why are ya asking me this?"

you watched him without answering with words but he looked into your eyes and he realised that the answer was there, so he proceed with the next question.

"what do ya think of her?"

"what? i- uh i- i just- you know i-"

you felt something on your hand and you looked down to see his green one on top of yours.

"[name] ya can talk to me."

he was right, you could talk to him.

"it's just the way she was kidnapped the day we went out, in front of our eyes; and how the mutagen was here, and also that she always looks like she knows to much,  i'm not the only, you see that too right? and i also have this feelings that something big is gonna happen, something bad; and i don't think it's about her, but i also can't stop doubting of her because-yeah just it seems right so i'm in this endless circle of not understanding anything that's going on and it's driving me crazy"

while you rambled raph didn't interrupted you not even once and he just nodded letting you know that he was listening to everything you said.

"it's fine to doubt a little, ya have all the right motives; and yeah ya right she always knows everything, it's almost worse than donnie, but since she's on our side is good, don't ya think?"

"maybe"

"and sensei always tell us to trust our guts so, if ya feel like this there's gonna be an explanation, but don't worry i- we will be there for ya, we always do."

"yeah, your right. thanks red"

"it's n'thing"

after that the only sound that could be heard was spike biting his lettuce, your hands were still touching under the table but no one said nothing about it. cause it was normal, right?

you and the turtles were waiting for the kraang to show up, after consulting the map leo had opted for an old building near the kraang's lair to keep watch and that was exactly what you were doing.

donnie was the one with the telescope now and leo kept on asking the same question.

"anything?"

"nothing yet!"

you were laying down as always, watching the sky, it was like you couldn't get enough of it. as you were getting lost counting the stars you heard mickey pained scream.

"when ninjas are around some villains they are supposed to be quiet."

"sorry leo, i'll scram quieter"

mickey kept on annoying raph until he decided to do something, he took his arm making him fall down and their grunts could be heard in the silence of the night.

"say it"

"raph, be quiet!" scolded him leo.

"not till mickey says it"

"this?again?!" you interrupted.

"raphael is all wise and powerful"

"and..."

"and he's better than me in every possible way"

"and..."

"and we don't give a da-" you tried to say as you got up.

"and i'm a lonely worm beneath his feet who dosn't deserve to live in the same planet as him cause he's so amazing and i'm a dirt cloth"

while mickey interrupted you you cleaned your hands on your legs, and you walked near leo and donnie to sit on the edge of the roof.

"and..."

"and in the history of universe there's never been a-"

"enough!"

"thanks leo" you didn't turned around as you talked keeping your eyes on the street under your feet.

"we're wasting our time the kraangs aren't gonna show up"

"have a little patience will you?"

"trust me guys, they're gonna break into that lab. i have reliable intel."

"intel? ya mean april told ya"

"you mean your girllllfrienddd"

"she's not my girlfriend mickey! she's a girl, who's a friend, who's dad got kidnapped by the same aliens were are gonna beak into that lab, and we're gonna stop them!"

"or we're gonna sit on a roof all night for no reason."

"if we've to stay here all night at least let's go get some pizza." you tried to propose.

"what the heck is going on up here?" asked a new voice.

"oh shit!"

the man took a good look at all of you before he talked and you were surprised that he didn't ran away like all peoples do.

"what are you a pair of dressed up?"

leo tried to reason with him since his tone wasn't a kind one but as his eyes moved to the broken signal his anger came out.

he insulted the guys with some words that you didn't even know the meaning of and you clearly saw that raph wanted to do something.

you put an hand on his shoulder as you stopped him from doing anything stupid, your blood boiled too but you knew better than start a fight with some random man.

"raph" you called softly and you saw his posture relax a bit.

"let's go" said leo.

you walked in front of raph thinking that it was over but the man kept on insulting him and raph growled before he got ready to start the fight.

you and the guys were keeping him on the spot by his arms as he and the man insulted each other; none of you saw that the kraans arrived on the roof and were ready to hurt you, until one of them almost shoot raphael in the head.

you dragged raph back and you all took your weapons ready to put down some alien robots as leo scolded raph again.

"way to blow our position raph"

the kraang tried to get you but with their terrible aim you dodged every bullet and arrived near enough to put them to 'sleep'.

you turned around after you gave one a punch in the face hoping to find the turtles but to your surprise another one of them was there.

he tried to copy your action of before aiming at your face but you ducked down and used your knife to stab him in the side, you watched as he froze for a second before he fall down.

you looked around and saw that for now he was the last one and you took a deep breath as you heard the man speak again.

"keep going kung fu frogs, this is pure gold"

"we're not frogs ya idiot"

"yeah and it's not king fu it's ancient Japanese art"

"yeah and what about me, didn't you see how kicked that robot's butt?" you protested without thinking twice.

"guys,[name], he got us in video"

"not for long he dosen't"

raph tried to get him but the man closed the door making him only get an headache.

"ah ah i'm gonna make a bunch of money for this"

" fire trucks on root, thirty seconds"

"we have to hide" you said alarmed.

"let's go" replied the leader

"wait we have to find that guy and break his phone, and his face"

as he talked all his brothers ignored him escaping from the fire truck thanks to the roof, as you saw this you caught raph wrist with your hands dragging him away.

"come on raph"

he growled but didn't objected and you ran back to the man hole; as you two were the last you decided to ask him some question about his attitude of the night.

"want to explain?"

"what?"

"alright, if that's how you wanna do it"

you shrugged before you decided to leave him behind and ran near his brothers. as he watched you he suddenly got angry.

who were you to ask him that? it's not like you had anger issues, he wanted to see what you would've done in the same situation. he couldn't believe you didn't did anything you were always saying how you cared about them. what? you could take an hypothetical bullet for them but not punch a guy? yeah sure.

you looked behind you to see raph with an angry stare directed to you and you understood what was happening in his brain with just a glance; you made a mental note to go talk to him back in the lair but for now you opted for a soft look in his direction.

cause that's how you communicated, with eyes first and words later. cause that's normal for friends, right?

when you arrived back to the lair you weren't surprised with splinter's angry expression as you explained the situation of the night.

you were kneeling in front of him between donnie and mickey with your heads down as you listened to the lecture of the day.

"not only did raphael alert the kraang but you got caught, on video."

"sensei, he was the angriest and nastiest guy i've ever met"

"except for you" mickey tilted his body towards raph as he said those words, and as you saw the hothead's hand up in the air ready to strike , you dragged mickey back in his place from his arm making his brothers miss.

"ya should've heard the insult this guy trowed at us they were so... insulting"

"how surprising" you replied sarcastically, splinter seemed to like your tone as he copied you to scold his son.

"how i did not realise he said mean things, of course you had no choice but to jeopardise your mission"

"burn"

mickey put his fist in your direction and you rolled your eyes before doing the same.

"you are ninjas, you work in the shadows, in secret, this becomes difficult if there's proof of your existence in high definition!"

"look we know we're this guy lives all we need to do is find him and shake him until the tape pops out"

"oh there's no tape, video phones use flash memories and-"

"donnie i would shut it if i were you" you tried to warn him as raph growled near you.

"anger is self destructive"

"i always thought it was 'others destructive'"

"raphael! stand. up."

you all started to feel bad for him at this, angry splinter wasn't easy to deal with and you all knew it from personal experience. still mickey kept on being his child self as he joked about raph situation.

"somebody is in trouble"

another growl was heard before splinter gave you the next order.

"in the dojo, now! we have training to do"

and that's what you all did, you went in the training room and you waited as your sensei gave each of the turtles some arrows and a bow explaining the exercise, he arrived in front of you and you expected him to tell you to sit down.

but he gave you the same weapons as the others and you looked into his eyes, he only gave you a nod to tell you that that would've been the start of the new training.

you,donatello,leonardo and michealangelo were walking in circle around raphael with your arrows pointed on him.

"avoid the arrows"

"no problem"

master splinter gave you the signal of the start and you all tried to get raph, you watched as he succeed easily on his task and you looked at him with a small smile.

"again, except this time donatello, leonardo, [name] and michelangelo, insult raphael"

"oh no i can't do that" you said without missing a beat.

"you have to" splinter gave you an hard glance that motivated you enough.

"wait insult him?"

"yes"

"and he can't fight back?"

"no"

"i'm feeling good about this plan"

your sensei gave you the start one more time and you started walking around raphael again.

mickey was the first one to speak but raphael avoided his arrow with ease; next was leo and at his insult raph couldn't contain himself from answering back getting hit; after went donnie, with two insult and two arrow he got both the hit.

they continued with the insult but you remained silent just sticking to aiming your arrows without talking, you watched as raph tried to contain his anger but he failed ,and leo said the last insults.

"what's the matter raph, gonna cry?"

"i'm" an arrow hit him on the side of his head.

"not" another.

"gonna cry" the last one was from you and it got him right between his eyes making him fall on his back.

"i wish this moment could last forever."

"ya know what? forget this, this is stupid"

"ah it didn't."

you watched with sad eyes as splinter explained to raphael the art of undue insult with patience and humility and how it was important for a ninja to keep his feelings at bail. he gave you the mission to get the video back but without force, only with reasoning.

you all nodded, just wanting to get over it and get back to eat pizza together with the tv on, on the floor of the living room.

"good luck, my children"

you were waiting for the man in a dark alley, he was talking on the phone but you clearly heard something about frogs and kung fu.

as he arrived in the right position you jumped down circling him with the boys, he didn't except you there and a high pitched scream left his throat.

"lay one finger on me frogs, and i'm calling the cops"

"we're not gonna hurt ya"

"than what do you want freaks?"

an hit in the ribs stopped you from saying anything sarcastic.

"we got off on the wrong foot last night, somethings were said and well,we would just like that video back"

leo gave raph the same hit prompting him to say something else.

"please"

"what are you gonna give me for it?"

"gave ya for it?"

"well i figured i got you over a barrel so you gotta make it work my while"

"i'll make it work yar while, i won't take yar head and smash it against a-"

you took raph by his shell dragging him against you as leo took the word trying to reason with the man.

"so, what are you looking for?"

he responded with a strange word that no one knew the meaning of.

"uh a cu-meal of what?"

"a million dollars"

you rolled your eyes at his request, how could he even believe that you had a million dollars was behold reasons.

"we don't have a million dollars?"

"we do have some canadian quarters that fell through the grates"

"i could make serious money of this thing and if you don't wanna pay i'll find someone else who does."

at that raph saw red, how could this man come here and tell them what to do? he was just some drunk dude with nothing interesting in his life, how could his brothers stays that way and do nothing? didn't they wanted to smash his head on the floor too?

he grabbed the man by his collars and he made him fell on the ground going on top ready to punch him.

"hand over the video or help me i'll-"

"guys,guys guys!" you started giving slap on the boys arm as you saw the kraangs arrive on their van.

"the kraang"

raph was on the road and he was about to get ran over until leo jumped and moved both him and the man out of the way.

"look out, let's not let this one get away"

raph proceeded with trowing a bin against the van's window making it crash against a wall.

"well that was easy"

you stood in-front of the back door as the kraang came out and started shooting at you.

"you had to talk!" you screamed as you dodged the bullets.

two robots came at you and you used the back of your katana to punch the one behind you on the face as you chopped the other's hand off; his hand was the one with the gun and as it touched the ground you cut it in half.

the alien of before got up from behind you and decided to put both his arm around your throat, as the one with one arm tried to took your sword you cut his head off and with all your force you made the back off your head hit the kraang face. he let you go and you pushed him back.

as you regained your breath you turned around seeing raph going to the van and leo getting kicked on the floor by one of the kraang. you took your weapon and you cut it in half freeing leo from him. you offered him an hand as the other brothers continued the fight but as you finished you saw the van ran away.

"raph is in the van"

you followed it and when you arrived near enough donnie tried to make raph get out but he failed as the hothead chose his anger again.

a krang took him and made him fall off the van he rolled down the road hitting you making you all fall down.

"ouch"

"nice going raph"

"what did i do?"

"what did you do?" repeated leo incredulous "you left the four of us in the middle of the fight to yell at somebody, we could've stopped them but thanks to your tamper the guy with the tape-"

"again technically it's a flash-"

"not now!"

you gave donnie a pat on the arm before moving your hand on his head forcing him to put it on your shoulder as you continued patting him.

"is in the hands of the kraang, now how are we supposed to find them?"

donatello remained like that even if it wasn't comfortable but as he saw something on the floor he tried to get away; you didn't move forcing him to stay there with a smirk until he used all his force.

"let go of me"

"alright alright" you laughed as he went down touching the road.

"look the truck's leaking"

"oh yeah!"

"alright we can follow the trail to the hideout"

"and then we bust some heads. what?"

"we are going to bust some heads, you are going home"

"what are ya kidding? come on guys, are we gonna let leo power trip like this?

"i think leo's right"

"[name] ya don't think that right?"

"i just think that today is not your day raph"

"you gotta control your temper, until then... we just can't trust you"

they all turned around leaving raph alone under the light, you watched as he looked down ashamed and you walked near him. you took his head in your hands making him look at you as you talked.

"i trust you raph, i know you'll come around."

you let your hands fall to your side as you gave him one last look. he looked back but didn't said anything as he watched your figure ran to his brothers. the same brothers that told him to go back home.

how could you be so perfect but feeling so backstabbing, he knew you weren't taking anyone's side but as he watched you jump from roof to roof with them he couldn't help but feel betrayed, and he let his anger out again as he trowed his sai down the road letting tears fell down his cheek.

you guys arrived at the end of the tracks, and you hided behind a corner to take a look at the place.

"are we seriously gonna do this whit out raph?"

"yeah it's gonna be weird without the hothead"

"mickey,[name], we can handle it"

"i don't know it's just feels like something's missing"

leo hit mickey in the head and that was enough to make him feel okay with the situation.

"ouch,thanks"

"happy to help" replied leo as he gave you an high three.

with some part of parkours and some moment of hiding you arrived inside the building whit out being seen. everything was dark and silent until you heard mickey and donnie fight behind you, maybe ralph's temper was being missed more than what you thought.

leo scolded them and you continued to walk through the corridors of the building. at one point you heard some voices and you saw the man from before talking with the kraang.

he tried to make them buy the video but you knew that the kraang would never let a man have proof of their existence, as the kraang were distracted you dragged the man to you thanks to a rope and you watched as he turned around making eye contact.

"we're gonna get you out of here"

"what about my phone?" screamed him

you and leo both shushed him as he could alert the kraang of your presence but that was exactly what happened after his next words.

"don't shush me, i ain't leaving whit out my phone."

"stop the one that need to be stop" said a robotic voice.

"stop"

"[name], remind me why we had to rescue this guy"

"oh donnie, i have no idea."

the fight started and you dodged every bullet as always, you became more surprised every day of their terrible aim; they were robot how could they suck that much at something like that.

while you were kicking one of the robots you heard a scream from the other side of the rooms and everything stopped. the kraang sent one of them to go see what was that noise but as soon as he turned the corner his body was trow right back near you.

"i don't like the sound of that"

"believe me, me neither"

seconds after an enormous spider thing jumped in front of you making you freeze in your tracks.

"i don't like the look of it either."

"uh is this the right time to remind you guys that i'm arachnophobic?"

"NO" they screamed all together answering you.

"what did you do to me? i'm hideous"

"believe me, you're better than before" you sassed.

"don't worry the five of us can handle it"

"okay this might be a bad time to point this out but you sent one of the five of us home."

"and right know i wished it was me"

"this is your fault, i'm gonna rip your head off"

"alright guys prepare to rush out the mighty head of justice"

"seriously can you just yell 'get him'"

"yeah leo you're seriously ruining my image"

"get h-" after you talked leo was pushed away by one of the spider's legs and you cringed at the sound of the wood breaking.

"and he fly away, classic" you responded trying to stay fit.

donnie was the first one to try and attack but after him one at the time you all launched at him. you regrouped on a corner as mickey tried to sound intimidating.

"it's that all you got?"

the spider responded by spitting acid at your feet making the floor dissolve.

"why do you always have to ask that?"

"cause the answer i was looking for was 'yes'"

he kept on tried to hit you with his acid vomit but you succeed on dodging every spit, for some time you ran away from him as he tried to attack you until you stopped on a point on the floor; you heard it crack and you looked down to see that the acid had break it. not lots of seconds after you all fell down and you grunted in pain as you got up.

"we're no match for spider bites"

"spider bites?"

"well he's a spider, and he bites"

"we get it"

"yeah mickey you have to work on your naming skills"

"[name]! how dare you says something like that?"

at that point 'spider bites' fell down the same hole as you ready for another attack. you tried to ran away again but he kept on blocking you every time.

"this bug is fast"

"haven't you see spiderman leo?"

"what? why?"

"[name]'s right cause technically spider's aren't bugs but-"

he got donnie in his 'hand' just to grow him near you again.

"alright, time's over frogs" he said to you before spitting again.

"wow, i didn't think this guy could get any uglier" talked a voice that you knew all to well.

"that's what i said"

"RAPH!"

he jumped down with an exaggerated trick and a smirk as he watched you smile in his direction.

"well, i think you've been punished enough. come and join us"

"oh hey it's the kung fu frog with the salad tools"

"ehy it's the stupid loud mouth who's about to get his butt kicked"

'spiderbites' tried to hit raph with his acid but he dodged hit, still the spider waisted no time in circling you again with acid making you fall into another floor.

you got up and you looked at your feet only to see what was under you.

"donnie, it's that what i think it is?"

"yeah let's not fall trough this floor"

you couldn't see what was happening over you but you heard 'spider bites' words before he jumped down.

"watch me turn your friends and your little girlfriend into frog fries, i'll serve them up with your salad's tools"

he used a yellow web to fall down to you but raphael cut it mid way making him fall down.

"froggy thinks he can stop me, rippy rippy"

as he continued on his insult raph took a deep breath remembering his sensei words, but that wasn't the only thing in his mind as a flash of you hours before appeared in front of his eyes.

you took his head in your hands making him look at you as you talked.

"i trust you raph, i know you'll come around."

you let your hands fall to your side as you gave him one last look.

you trusted him, you knew he could do it, and who was him to let you down? he took a deep breath as he concentrated on remaining calm.

"i go river over stone" he said in a low tone.

he smirked before attacking and he succeeded in having the upper hand as you finally saw him under you fighting alone; you watched him with wide eyes as he dodged every kick hurting 'spider bites' real bad.

his brothers watched the way you looked at him and they shared knowing glance before leo interrupted your train of thoughts.

"what do you say, wanna go down and help him?"

you didn't answer as you jumped down followed by them .

"that's some kung fu frog"

"we are not some 'kung fu frogs', we are 'ninja turtles'"

"and [name]"

"yeah yeah" responded raph moving his head from side to side, after that you attacked this time all together.

after mickey and donnie, raph and leo attacked and for last you who kicked him right in his head making him fall; and as you walked towards him raph broke his phone with his foot.

"finally" you exclaimed with a grin.

"oh my phone, you guys are gonna regret this" he ran away and you tried to follows him but as you arrived on top of the building you saw that he was too far away for you.

"i know a nice black widow that'd be great for him"

"if you mean natasha please leave her to me" you said too donnie

"nice work raph, i just wanna say-"

"you don't have to apologise"

"i wasn't going to"

"oh"

"that burns" you talked with a smirk

"yeah raph not bad for a bloated buffalo"

raph didn't let that slide like mickey thought instead he attacked him making them fall on the ground.

"okay,okay, raph is all wise and powerful"

"and..."

"he's better than me in very possible way"

you were back in the lair, master splinter let you all go and relax after you told him about your adventure; and you decided to go check on the boys before going to sleep.

first was donnie who you found asleep on the desk of his lab, you covered him with a blanket and put a pillow under his head before turning off every light.

after you saw mickey on the sofa watching the tv, he was already asleep covered with pillows so you lowered the sound of the tv knowing that he liked to have some background noise.

you saw leo awake in the dojo and you knocked on the door to let him know of your presence. he told you to come in and you sit on the side of the floor watching him train a little more before he decided to come near you.

"so, your going to train with us again" started him.

"yeah, i just missed you a lot you know"

"[name], you see us every day"

"but it's not the same"

"you live with us!"

"i know alright? it's- i- i- i didn't want to be a burden during those new fight, i always loose against you and you aren't even trying to hurt me. those things want to, and how can we beat them if you have to worry about me."

"[name] we're a team we'll always worry about you."

"yeah sure" you said rollin your eyes.

"what?"

"you keep on telling me that i'm one of you but there's no way you actually think that"

"why wouldn't we?"

"cause you're this big family and i'm just the friend that lives here, i'm just a human, i don't have an indestructible shell, i don't have hard skin or super powers, and i don't have anything that's needed to the team"

"you don't understand it, do you? you are needed to the team, like we need raph and his temper, donnie and his crush on april or mickey and his inner child, we need each other cause we're family not cause we have skills"

"but i-"

"stop alright? it dosen't matter if you're a mutant or no, the only thing that matters is that you're a part of this family if you want it or not" he took a breath before looking you right in the eyes "just because you're human it dosen't mean you aren't one of us"

there were some second of silence before you felt the urge to break the ice

"damn, when did you become so wise blue?"

"you know, a leader has to be all wise and shit"

" 'and shit' mostly i'd say"

"yeah yeah, whatever"

you laughed but didn't say anything else as you looked at your feet, you heard music from the tv and leo started humming to it; and with that all the tiredness of the day came over making you sleepy, without noticing you lowered your head and as you realised that you were about to go in the world of dreams you said one last thing to the leader.

"talk to raph will you? tell him he did a good job"

and your eyes closed missing leo's knowing smile as it appeared on his face.
