QUIRK DESCRIPTION
• quite like yin & yang — emika's quirk is like devil and angel . typical , but she can bond and become a demon , or an angel . usually , its her subconscious that bonds .
• the way her quirk is simple — if the situation she is called in is for defense — she becomes an " angel " . if she is on the offense — she becomes a " demon " .

• her angel form is more in healing and defending — she can fly in both forms but her angel is much swifter and quiet . she can not only aid herself , but others . shes much kinder and patient in this form compared to her demon .
• her outfits do change when she becomes either form , and tear away . a special bodysuit that matches similar to her skintone was made for her , that could withstand her quirk . she remains more like herself in this form , except the angelic type wings , the illuminating aura and her head piece .!

• her demon form is much more complex . as a demon , she naturally becomes more violent and merciless — hence why its so good for offense . she is incredibly strong , and very swift . in this form , she uses malicious tactics as well as her claws and body modifications to her advantage .

BACKSTORY
emika was born into a prestigious lineage of heroes , where she inherited her angel quirk from her mother , who was a healer . her father , however , had a quirk revolving around being able to transform into a bat ( BATMAN ) , so both were shocked when emika had a paradoxical quirk .

when her quirk first awakened , she was 6 , and a boy was tugging on her pigtails out of spite . the constant tugging angered little emika . within moments , her eyes had darkened , two horns appeared out of nowhere and emika was
yelling at the boy — him and the rest of her classmates crying and terrified at the demonic appearance of her quirk . even the teacher had thought she had been possessed , immediately calling her parents and evacuating the room .

after realizing her dual - quirk , emika's parents made it their mission to mold her into the hero they knew she could be , through strict discipline and control . she warned emika that she could not allow such a cruel being show itself , only further wedging that gap between them . emika's mother , who had the power of an angel , couldn't understand the darkness that loomed in her daughter . her father was conflicted , but sided with her mother , agreeing to enroll her into rigorous training and studies to help keep her quirk at bay , and focus on the angelic side of her . the weight of her parents expectations loomed heavily on emika's shoulders , along with the ostracism she faced from her peers .

for many years , she didn't want to be a hero . her view of heroism was corrupted , and the teenager felt no sense of belonging in a world that judged people based solely on their quirks . not until she found herself using that same demonic power to save a child one day , who had fallen too close against a window a few stories high . she was in a horrible mood , and didn't think twice about transforming . it was only when she held the crying child in her arms she realized she was in the " wrong " form .

what surprised her was the fact the child had stopped crying and hugged her , his mother running down to thank her , sobbing .

maybe there was good in becoming a hero .

• what's better than one sleep deprived person ?? two of them ! emika had admired her superior ever since she was a first year in UA , considering their quirks had similar attributes . they worked together during their schooling and had the same internship . he is one of the people she feels more comfortable with , not just because she assists him in teaching his classes now . she finds her feelings childish , but even when she thinks she's over him — she's back to lovergirl all over again .
