* mother - areum , campbell . a middle - aged woman with long , black , straight hair . she stands at 155 cm , and works as an esthetician . she has a fairly good relationship with her daughter , although she has said things without realizing the impact . appearance is important in the campbell household , and it has really affected the way ae - cha thinks .
* father - richard , campbell . a tall , blond , curly - haired man who works as a surgeon . he's in his early fourties , and met areum when he had studied abroad in korea . he and his daughter have a good yet distant relationship . she used to be such a daddy's girl , but ever since she began maturing - her dad and her dont really .. bond . like , they see each other daily and speak - but they have such an absent relationship now . deep down , they both still deeply love each other .

- wendy ! their relationship kind of began as academic rivals / enemies , and evolved into friends since they both liked the same things and spoke about the same issues . she's the manipulator , wendy's the fighter - they go in like two peas in a pod .
- henrietta ! she first met henrietta when thrifting , and they both wanted the same fishnets - you could say that she looks up to her as a fashion icon and loves letting her do her make up ( despite her mother's hesitance ) . she's her favorite goth .
- tweek ! honestly , ae - cha thought he was just annoying . that changed when he came across her crying after school , and offered to take her to his family's coffee shop to cheer her up . after some venting over lattes , she realized he was far more than just hyperactive .
- kenny ! she used to use him , guilty as charged . she paid him money to do petty tasks for her , such as pranks on cartman - but it wasn't really long until she started caring for him genuinely . going as far to buy his sister and him christmas presents as a bonus for his " services " . she doesn't pay him to do those tasks anymore , but will still slip him a couple of bucks .
- heidi ! ae - cha definitely didn't support her decision when dating cartman . she and her go way back , being her first actual friend at south park . she was hurt when heidi began turning against her for cartman , and their friendship almost collapsed b/c of their constant arguing . after she left cartman , she was so happy - mainly relieved b/c her friend wasn't w/ such a toxic person .

- rebecca! never ever got along with her . she always has something to say whenever it comes to ae - cha .
- clyde ! whenever he's bored he'll do what cartman does sometimes - and it all started out because she voted him as the ugliest boy in class . apparently , she was the only known perpetrator and he had held a grudge ever since .

- kyle ! she fell in love with the way he seemed to be cartman's polar opposite . she saw him as any other boy , but speaking with him and bonding over things they both liked - she never felt like that with a boy before . she didnt even know about his hair until 8th grade , and she was almost heartbroken . why hide such a beautiful thing ? if anything , he continued to draw her in more and more - especially with the way he defends her from cartman himself sometimes .
- kenny ! sure , it was only strictly business that she would associate with kenny , however she found herself really comfortable around him . simple things would remind ae - cha of kenny , and she'd end up buying him gifts , calling them his " bonuses " . mutually both like each other , however she still tells herself he's just a friend . he's a little bit smelly , but he's so cute - and we wont even begin on the type of perverted things he feels . ae - cha is just too stubborn to tell him how she feels .
- pete ! after henrietta , he's her favorite goth . when she first began attending south park , he and the rest of the goths offered her to join them in which she politely declined . but , they never stopped talking . being seated next to each other in chemistry , she always snickers at his snide remarks and commentary . she genuinely thinks he's really cool , and some of her clothing pieces are picked out by him . he would be there to comfort her when she suddenly burst into tears , in which he also calls her " crybaby " - however its nothing the way cartman and clyde use it .
- craig ! honestly assumed he was another troublemaker at school , and one of the people she should stay away from . his nonchalant attitude really did bring her in - especially whenever he didnt seem to care about not doing their joint projects . he commented about her overachieving attitude , sparking a bit of a shift between them . they constantly " bully " each other , and definitely uses her expressive persona to pick on her about . catch them flipping each other off in the halls .
- tolkien ! both are academically smart , like to read , and generally speaking are the least problematic ! hearing him sing practically made her fall heads over heels , and he's genuinely such a nice person . they were paired together for a project once , and it was such a relief not having to do all the work herself for once .

background ☆ despite being born in america , she had moved back to south korea when she was young for most of her elementary school life . ae - cha's grandma was sick , and they were financially unstable . she was still so popular among her peers , and didnt want to move to the states once her mother secured a job . her grandma's health had improved , and the summer of second grade , they moved to colorado . not south park , but near it - she attended a school for the first time where everyone seemed to ... she wasnt used to the change . she had a heavy accent , despite her being fluent in english - she just didnt speak it much back in south korea . where she was once the top of the class , she had made it to the bottom . she was picked on for her ethnic features , how chubby she was at the time , how " smelly " her food was - just things that made her want to hide . she had become so conflicted with the way she looked , her parents even seemed to worry . unintentionally , her mother had always pushed the idea of being beautiful down her throat . if she wasn't beautiful , than what reason was there to live for ? but , she made one friend , and her name was anna . a pretty , popular student who always engaged and included her . for once , she felt like she belonged ! they even hung outside of school together . it all seemed too good to be true , which it was . anna only hung out with her to make herself seem better - hanging out eith the new foreign kid who got bullied ? what an angel . but even she was tired of ae - cha's " ugly " face , is what she told her own friends . they would snicker over the things she'd tell anna in their own privacy , because she trusted her . devastated , she refused to become friends with someone like that ever again - and seized the perfect opportunity to start fresh when they moved to south park when she was in fifth grade . many girls and even a few boys complimented her and spoke to her upon her arrival - and she grew obsessed with the attention . while she seemed like your typical sweet girl , she practically analyzed every action and word . fake ? were they secretly laughing about her when she turned her back ? if they liked the way she was then , why change ? she was skinny , so should she become skinnier ? become prettier ? be smarter ? she started to change the way she ate - only lighter meals and more fluids - went from bare - face to full face - until she met the people who reassured her that she was only human . that would be her best friends .
