Two days later.

"Kaisyn." She felt herself being tapped awake, and she frowned, turning to lay on her stomach.

"What you call me over here for if you just gone sleep?" Trevor chuckled, laying next to her.

Kaisyn threw her leg over him, pulling him closer and wrapping her arm around his neck.

"Oh so you using me for my body? Damn, that's crazy." He said, and she hummed, agreeing with him, making him smack his lips.

She laid her face in his neck, rubbing the other side of it, about to doze back off.

"Are you high?" He asked, and she hummed again, making him grab her face.

She frowned, squinting her eyes from the light as he pulled her to look at him.

He stared into her bloodshot red eyes, before frowning at her.

"Kaisyn what the f-man damn." He stood up, picking her up, and her head hung tiredly in his neck.

He carried her in her bathroom, and she frowned as he sat on the floor with her.

He forced her mouth open, sticking two of his fingers all the way down her throat, and her eyes widened, before she began throwing up in her toilet.

"You get on my nerves with this shit Kaisyn. Why can't you just stay off the fucking pills?" He frowned, patting her back as the contents spilled from her stomach.

"Fuckkkk." She groaned, her system being cleaned as she threw up.

He head hung on her toilet once she finished, and Trevor picked her up.

He wiped her mouth off, and then brushed her teeth for her because she was too groggy to do so.

"Baby I'm sorry." She softly cried, and he ignored her, undressing her until she was naked. He started some hot bath water, placing her limp body inside.

"Trevor I-fuck." She grabbed her head, catching a bad migraine as her body soothed under the hot water.

"I be right back." He mumbled, standing up after making sure she was good.

He saw the tears flowing down her face, and he internally sighed, walking out of her bathroom.

Trevor walked out to her kitchen, grabbing some thawed out chicken from her refrigerator, some pasta noodles, chicken broth, and a few different seasons-about to make Kaisyn some hot soup.

Trevor and Kaisyn grew up together in Chicago. He was one of the only white kids who was in the streets, he was bad as hell.

The two of them had hit multiple licks together at their young age, they were the best of friends.

Trevor's parents didn't like how deep in the streets he was though, and figured out a way to get him out of them, for good.

They moved him to Atlanta-away from Chicago-when he was 15, and he was now 21, same age as Kaisyn.

He'd missed Kaisyn a lot while they were apart, she was his only friend. And then Kaisyn moved to Atlanta when both of them were 17, and they found each other again one day at the mall.

Since then, it was like no time had been lost. They were still best friends, the same-but stronger-bond that they had when they were kids.

Kaisyn had been on pills for almost two years now. He was sure that she had an addiction by now, and he was trying his hardest to help her but she was so stubborn.

He wished that she'd just talk about the way she felt instead of trying to get rid of the pain with a temporary high.

His father had died from an overdose when he was 19, and he didn't want to see his best friend go down the same route.

He let the soup simmer on the stove, walking back towards the bathroom with Kaisyn. Her head laid on the side of the tub, her eyes closed as she breathed slowly.

Trevor sat down, grabbing her loofah and some of her soap, lathering it in, beginning to bathe her.

Kaisyn lowly groaned, and he reached over, turning the light off because he knew that it was straining her eyes.

"I won't take them no more." She mumbled softly, her voice hoarse.

"You said that a few times ago Kaisyn. You so fucking selfish. You might not think so, but there's people that love you Syn. And you gone kill yourself with these fucking pills man." He told her, rinsing her body off as she silently cried.

He grabbed her towel, unplugging the drain, and then picked her body up, wrapping the towel around her.

"Stop crying. I'm right here and I ain't going nowhere." He mumbled, rubbing her back as he carried her to her bed.

"I'm so damn tired. I want my brother so bad." She sniffed, her voice cracking.

Trevor rubbed lotion in on her body as she cried, her light face now a shade of red. It seemed like all she did was cry now. She just wanted it to be over.

He pulled a pair of panties on her, and then one of her tee shirts, spraying her favorite perfume on her, and she cracked a smile, wiping her face.

"I be right back, hold on." He walked out of her room, going towards the kitchen.

He poured her soup in a bowl, and grabbed an orange Gatorade from her fridge because the orange flavor helped with nausea.

He grabbed some crackers, and then walked back in her room, sitting on the edge of her bed, Kaisyn laying back against her pillows.

"Did you eat something yesterday?" He asked, sitting the drink down, and she shook her head no.

"Kaisyn do you wanna die? Like foreal, are you trying to kill yourself?" He frowned at her, and she held a sad expression on her face.

"I don't know T." She mumbled softly, and his jaw clenched, mixing her soup around. That made him sad.

He needed Kaisyn more than she knew, and he just wished he knew a way to help her. But it was so hard, because nobody really knew her.

Kaisyn was very troubled, and she knew she had issues that she needed to work out. She just didn't know how.

Trevor took his time feeding her the soup, even though she didn't want it, but she needed some food on her empty stomach.

Once she finished the soup, he opened the Gatorade, giving it to her, before going back to the kitchen to clean up his mess.

A few minutes later, he returned to the room with Kaisyn, climbing in her bed with her after turning off the lights and pulling her black out curtains over the window, her room pitch black.

"Come here." He mumbled, and she pouted, tears brimming in her eyes as he pulled her into his embrace, wrapping his arms securely around her.

"I am so sorry Trevor. I can't d-I'm sorry." She cried, covering her face.

"I just want better for you Kaisyn." He rubbed her back, letting her cry on his chest.

"I know that you don't think so, but people love you Kaisyn. I love you, and I need my best friend. You gone sit up here and let these drugs kill you."

"I tell you all the time you have to stay off of them. They not helping you with shit, you be high for what? An hour, before you fall asleep. It's not fucking worth it Kaisyn."

"So many people love you, them pills don't love you Syn. I'm not blaming you, okay? I know it's hard. But it's okay to ask for help. Look at me Syani." He held her face, and her tears stained eyes looked into his.

"You don't have to do this life shit alone. I know it's hard for you, but I'm here. We all here for you, you gotta let somebody in before you drown yourself in sorrow." He rubbed over her face as she pouted.

"You don't have to be strong all the time. I don't know what I-Kaisyn, if I walked in here one day and seen you d-I don't know what to do without you. You can't let no fucking pills take you from the people that love you Kaisyn." He told her, watching as her bottom lip quivered.

"It's so fucking hard Trevor. I just wanna feel okay, I wanna be okay." She broke down, and he wrapped his arms around her, laying her head on his chest as she sobbed.

"I'm so tired. I don't wanna be here Trevor, I don't. I know that I-I have all of y'all, but I feel so alone. I just wanna be okay. I'm so tired of fighting." She cried, and he kissed her forehead, laying his head on top of hers as he rubbed her back.

"Life is so hard. And for what? I know I did some bad shit, but I-I don't know. I'm trying so hard to fight; to keep going and to be strong. But it's so fucking hard. It's so damn hard Trev." She sobbed, shaking her head as her breathing labored.

"I just wanna feel something. I take them because they make me feel something. When I'm sober it's just-no feeling at all. I don't be feeling shit and I fucking hate that T. I'm so sorry. I'm trying so hard baby I promise." She sniffed, her nose clogged as she cried.

"I'm here for you Kaisyn. I'm right here." His voice softly cracked, rubbing her back as a few lone tears fell from her eyes.

He had no clue how to help her, and that's all he wanted, was to help her. But she was so closed off, he didn't even know where to start.

It was obvious that Kaisyn had more deeper rooted issues than she let on. She had so much built up in her body, and she just wanted to let it go.

She wanted to be okay. She didn't even care if she never found happiness, all she wanted was to be satisfied-to be okay.

She had friends and acquaintances all around her, and yet, she still felt so alone. She felt like as if nobody was there for her.

But it was herself, that made her feel that way. Because people were there for her, she had people that wanted to help her.

And yet she still told herself that all she had was her, that nobody would ever be there or love her the way that Jaisyn did.

She felt like she would never be able to let the death of her brother go. When he was here, they shared their pain and they helped each other through it.

Jaisyn was really all that she had. And now that he was gone, she just didn't know how to move forward-mentally nor physically.

She realized that her brother being dead was the root of her problems. She needed to find away to get over it, or she'd end up just like him-only difference is, she'd unintentionally do it herself, instead of someone else killing her.
