AS PROMISED, AN HOUR LATER, adena, alessia and ares stood in front of the drivers their hotel. they had come with two separate cars to fit the six boys. ares and alessia would be driving everyone to the best hidden gem beach on crete.

adena had texted franco that they had arrived, so they were just waiting for them to come out and meet them. "what the fuck is taking them so damn long?" before the full sentence left ares' mouth, the six boys came piling out of the sliding door of the hotel.

franco immediately went to adena, greeting her first, "hi dee." he said, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "hi fran." she smiled back, looking up at him for a second. i always forget how fine he is in real life.

adena averted her gaze from him and greeted all of the other boys as well, giving all five of them a short hug.

alessia and adena ushered franco, kimi and arthur into their car, ares taking paul, ollie and jak with him.

the two cars drove away from the hotel, on their way to the secluded beach not too far away. the cars came to a halt in front of a rock formation, where it didn't seem like you could go any further, but adena, alessia and ares knew better. they had been swimming at the hidden beach for years.

everyone grabbed their stuff as ollie spoke, "not to like, doubt you guys, but what the fuck are we gonna do about the giant rock blocking us?" the british boy said, making the three friends who lived close by laugh in response, "well, oliver, if you had just let us show you." alessia said before walking over to the left side of the huge boulder.

you couldn't really see it from afar, but there was a path next to the rock, hidden behind the plants. adena and ares ushered the drivers after alessia, who showed the way. "this feels like i'm in a fucking mermaid movie." jak said loudly, the eight other friends chuckling at his remark.

after about two minutes of walking the path, it opened up to a beach, enclosed by a rock formation. "this is sick." kimi said, "i doubt a lot of people even know this place, mac and i found it when we were like, seven." adena spoke, ares nodding in confirmation.

"wait. weird question." kimi interrupted, making everyone stop walking. "why do you guys call ares 'mac'?" he questioned, making alessia giggle. "it's not that interesting, we couldn't really come up with a nickname for 'ares' so we just made a nickname for his last name which is 'macris'."

"that makes sense." the italian boy shrugged, continuing their walk closer to the water.

once they were relatively close, they all put their towels down in the white sand, stripping down to their swimwear immediately after.

adena could lie and say she wasn't fully checking franco out, but she wouldn't. she was totally checking franco out and she was not disappointed. while everyone else were doing whatever, the argentine boy noticed adena's not-so-stealthy staring, "like what you see?" he teased cheekily.

adena smirked a little in reply, "definitely."

"freako strikes again!" paul interrupted, making a disgusted face. franco stuck out his tongue childishly at his friend before turning his attention back to the girl in front of him. "come on, let's swim!" the greek girl smiled, grabbing his hand and pulling him along with her.

the nine friends all ran into the sea, splashing each other, and dunking each other under. kimi was constantly trying to get paul under, but simply couldn't get it done, "mac, help me with this bro." the italian boy whined, using the nickname he had just learned.

ares laughed but made his way over to help kimi dunk the estonian boy, "this is so unfair!" paul yelled in protest, trying to run away from the tag team of boys chasing after him.

adena watched as alessia and arthur were talking with smiles on their faces, as she smirked to herself.

that was, until she felt fingers on her sides. she burst out in giggles as she tried to get franco's hands off of her. "stop! franco i'm gonna kill you!" she managed to get out as she wiggled in his grip.

the boy laughed as well as he continued his tickling, not sparing her words the time of day. he threw her over his shoulder effortlessly, "fran! put me down you asshole!" she protested, slapping his back in hopes of him putting her down gently. it was in vain though, "you want down? i'll get you down." he chuckled, body slamming adena into the water.

she surfaced again after a few seconds, having to keep herself up with flailing her feet, as she wasn't even able to stand where he had thrown her. "you are dead to me franco colapinto." she said seriously, making the argentine's face drop. "wait, hermosa, i didn't-" he started before seeing the sly smile on the girls' face.

adena burst out laughing, not able to keep it in anymore. franco smiled as well, splashing some sea water to her in protest of her joke. "you should've seen your face." she giggled, her laughter dying down a little.

she swam to the part where franco was standing, the water reaching up to his biceps. for adena it almost covered all of her shoulders, she hadn't really noticed their height difference, but like this, it was a lot more clear.

the boy stood directly in front of her as he smiled lazily. the sun was already starting to go down, the golden light hitting his face in anymore almost serene way. "this light is really doing you good, ángelos." adena whispered as franco's arms circled around her waist under the crystal clear water.

"oh yeah?" he said, leaning down more and more. adena almost forgot her own rule as the boys' eyes traveled between her own eyes and her lips. almost.

she quickly pulled one of her hands away from their resting place on his chest, putting her palm over his mouth, "what did i say, fran. no kisses before the second date."

franco groaned, "can't this be our second date?" he literally pleaded, making adena laugh. "no."
