🗒 ❛ safe now! ༉‧₊˚✧

MIA SAT WITH HER HEAD IN HER HANDS ON THE SOFA, her eyes closed while breathing heavily as she desperately tried to get what just happened out of her head.

She had been attacked by some people on the way home; a group of fans shouting vulgar things at her. They stopped her from going any further as they stood in her way, grabbing parts of her body and verbally attacking her. Her head was spinning and she was trying to prevent herself from breaking.

When she broke free from their grasp, she hurriedly walked away while she was shaking, but it wasn't until she went to the dorm and really thought what just happened.

Mia's body sinked down the couch and she held her hands into her chest, trying to regain her normal breathing. She could feel their hands on her and the flashbacks from her sasaeng attack started come back to her mind, feeling her heartbeat pound as she painfully groaned while holding her head, trying to ignore the words and the intrusive thoughts echoing inside her head.

She bit her lip, feeling tears building in her eyes. "Breathe, Emiri. I-I-It's okay, you're o-okay." She whispered to herself, shakily rubbing her thighs.

Hearing the door unlocking, the Japanese member panicked and stood up from the couch and tried composed her. Lisa, Rosé and Jennie walked in with their arms linked together as they greeted her with a soft smile and went to their rooms, oblivious of her state.

Jisoo came in last with headphones on, carrying her bag and went to the living room where Mia was. She put her things down, taking off her headphones when she finally saw her.

"Oh-Mia, you scared me!" She startled, before looking at her face, knowing immediately that something was wrong. She frowned as Mia tried to smile at her, not trusting her voice to speak.

"Emiri?" She softly said her name as she inches closer to her member with a concerned look. Her hand came to touch her shoulder, "What's wrong?" Mia's eyes drip with tears and they couldn't stop falling. She began to cry, remembering the words they said to her.

Jisoo let out a small gasp, taking her into her arms, stroking her hair, "Hey, it's okay, Mia." She said in a comforting voice.

Mia squeezed her tight, afraid if she was gonna disappear. Her walls, the walls that holds her up started to collapse. Salty drops falls into Jisoo's shirt as she uncontrollably sobs into her chest, her hands clutching at her shirt.

Jisoo sighed and closed her eyes, rocking her back and forth, letting her pour her heart out. "I'm right here, Mia." She soothed with a gentle tone, rubbing her back.

Her breaths quickened as she remembers how trapped she felt, surrounded by strangers that wouldn't leave her alone, making her feel powerless and weak, in which she hated.

Mia pulled away and wiped her tears with her hands, putting her hands on her face, letting out a long breath. "I'm fine." She croaked out, blankly staring at her.

Jisoo scoffed and shook her head, "Like I'm gonna believe that. Emiri, what happened?" She quietly asked her with a desperate look.

Mia sniffed and shrugged it off, "It was nothing." She murmured as she fiddled with her ring. Jisoo let out a sigh and held her shoulders, "Hey, Mia, look at me." She ordered with a strict tone and gently held her cheek.

Mia stared into her eyes, "It's not that important-" she tried to say but Jisoo cut her off with a groan, "Katō Emiri, don't do that! Don't do that thing where you don't tell me things because you think you're weak or that it's not important." She looked firmly into her eyes.

"You ARE important, Mia. It doesn't matter how big or small the problem is, you come to me. You always used to come to me. What happened?" She asked her with a sad expression.

Mia shifted her body to the side, clenching her jaw. "I know, and I'm very sorry, Jisoo." She consoled, a sudden of guilt taking over her.

Jisoo brought her to the couch and held both of her hands, "Take your time, Unnie." She reassured her with a sympathetic smile.

"I was walking home and, uh, these people. . .they started to." She stumbled with her words, looking down at their hands.

"Did they hurt you?" Jisoo asked her immediately, looking at her with a worried gaze. She shook her head, "No, they just, shouted things at me. . .and grabbed p-parts of my body." A few tears slipped out of her eyes, "I-It wasn't that bad, b-but t it remind me of when. ." Mia stuttered out, finally looking at her.

"When Byeola attacked you." Jisoo finished her sentence, her voice cracking at the end. Her stomach started to clench and cleared her throat, preventing herself from crying.

The whole Byeola incident a year ago made the girls scarred, and Jisoo took it worse than the girls, blaming herself for not being by her side and not protecting her enough.

Whenever someone mention her name, it holds a painful memory with a heavy heart and the girls try to avoid it every time it gets mentioned just for Mia's sake.

Mia's chin started to tremble, and turned her head to the side, painfully swallowing the lump in her throat. "Why me? What the fuck did I do, Jisoo?" She cursed and let out a long sigh.

Jisoo gave her hands a tight squeeze, "I don't know, Mia." She murmured, enough for Mia to hear as they became loss for words.

Mia looked at Jisoo, she could see how badly she wanted to do something about it, but as much as she was upset about it, she couldn't do anything about it. Going after them would only provoke them.

"I don't want you to blame yourself after what happened." She broke the ice, giving her a small smile. She knew how badly Jisoo took it after her attack from a year ago and didn't want her to be her responsibility.

Jisoo curled into her side, letting Mia wrap her arm around her shoulder. "I can't help it. I took everything as a joke and didn't do anything about it." She admitted with a gloomy sigh, feeling a heavy pang in her chest.

"You didn't know, Jisoo. We didn't know that it would go that far. We're still healing and trying our best. Having you guys by my side helps me a lot and I feel safe with all of you." She explained with a soft tone, gently drawing shapes on her bare arm.

Jisoo nodded her head and held her arm, leaning her head into her shoulder. She felt her throat close up at her words, and couldn't help but feel as though she didn't deserve this amount of care and the amount of love.

They sat there quietly for a while, enjoying the calming atmosphere and the silence. "Jisoo."

Jisoo turned to see Mia staring down at her, "Thank you for always being by my side and being my best friend. I love you." Mia confessed with a smile, making Jisoo's heart flutter.

"I'm always gonna be there for you. You're safe with me, Miri."

"I'M SCARED, UNNIE." Jisoo clings into Mia's side as they walked up to the zip liner. The Japanese member chuckled and patted her cheek. "You'll be fine, Jisoo. It's not that scary." She reassured her with a grin before greeting a few people on her way.

"It's scarier watching." Jisoo whined, walking up to the professionals, who were ready to help her out.

"C'mon, guys! It will be so much fun!" Lisa chimed, jumping on Mia's back, making her yell out in surprise. "Lisa, oh my God!"

Mia laughed and looked at Jisoo, "You heard the gal, let's go!" She said with the same enthusiasm before walking over to the others.

Jisoo nervously clasped her helmet and stood in line behind Lisa. Lisa got ready and the man pushed her, making her hold the liner as she went strolling. "Yes, Lisa!" Mia shouted, cheering for her.

Jisoo was next and she just stood there, contemplating if she should do it or not. Mia rolled her eyes and gave her a little push, "Miri, they just pushed her!" She told her with a shocked expression.

"You can do it!"

Jisoo frowned, "No, why can't you do it? Ugh, I'm getting a headache." She complained and held her head. Mia narrowed her eyes at her and dragged her to the professional, who was watching them with amusement.

The man helped her up and buckled her up, making Jisoo whine, "Uh, I'm scary. ."

As the man tighten her zipper belt, her heart started to pound. "I'm short! My feet barely reach the floor, guys." She told everyone with a sigh.

"It's okay, it's fine." The man comforted her, patting her back. Mia held her hands in front of her face and gave her thumps up, "You're okay, Jichu!"

"I'm so scary." Jisoo told the man, holding the rope. The man chuckled as he listened to her rants.

"Ah, my heart so bounce."

The girls watched her from down and cheered for her. Jisoo squatted down and was ready to go down, "I know you-" she tried to say as she went down but cut off when they increased the speed and she started to scream.

When Jisoo went down she screamed, "I know his face." She said before letting out a growl.

Mia burst out in laughter and came to her side, clapping, "You're so cute, Jichu." She gushed at her and helped her unbuckle her zipper.

"I wanna go home."

"SO, DO YOU THINK ITS HARD THIS TIME?" Mia asked her member about the new choreography for Kill This Love. The two decided to stay up late to learn their new choreography since they were far behind than others.

"It's okay, I guess. It was really hard to pay attention today, I don't know, I'm just so drained today." Jisoo answered with a tired sigh as the girls sat down on the floor eating their burger.

Mia was in the middle of explaining the choreography and how confusing the dance teacher was when they explained, and how she had a hard time focusing too, when Jisoo suddenly saw a movement down her arm that is currently resting on her lap. She narrowed her eyes and then widened her eyes when she saw it was a spider.

Mia stopped talking and looked at Jisoo with confusion. "Jisoo, what's wrong?" She asked her curiously, snapping her fingers to her face.

Jisoo slowly pointed at her left arm and before she could say it was a spider, Mia screamed and quickly stood up, twisting her ankle in the process. She let out a painful groan.

Jisoo jumped out of her seat and went to Mia who was still screaming, holding her now bruised ankle. "Unnie, are you okay?" She worriedly asked her, completely forgetting about the spider. "Ah, I-I'm fine, it was the spider, r-right?" She croaked out, making a noise that sounded like a half groan and half scream, then she shivers.

Jisoo nodded her head, and jumped when she saw the spider on the floor. "We have to kill it, Miri." She said as she tugged at her shirt.

"You don't even need to tell me twice." She muttered before grabbing her shoe and tip-toed towards their seat. She squatted down and smacked the spider while trying not to hit the food, screaming as it's dead and screaming again when she hit it one last time, shouting the whole time.

"Gonna tell the girls that we almost died tonight, man."
