CHAPTER FIFTEEN:
SHE CAN HELP

WILLOW WALKED BACK TO HER room, the key placed in her pocket as she pursed her lips. Unlocking the door she entered, closing the door behind her before sitting down on the couch in utter silence. All she could do was think about Fury's words. Because deep down Willow knew that Fury was right. She knew that he wasn't going to lie to her so maybe that's why she had made the decision to go to him, because she dying for the truth and for a hand to push her in the right direction.

But even if this was the right direction, why did she feel so much fear? Why was she so terrified to open that door and allow herself a chance of something. She knew that she was never going to be able to get rid of the alien. It had grown too attached to her body, including her veins, organs, everything inside. To remove it meant killing Willow, and she knew that that was something that none of them would ever do. She also knew Natasha would never let anyone do that.

She took the key out of her pocket, laying it on the coffee table as a sigh fell from her lips. She ran a hand through her dark hair before glancing around her room and towards the window the alien had jumped out of―︎the window in which Tony Stark had already gotten fixed, which didn't surprise her even the littlest bit. Willow stood up, making her way over towards the very tiny kitchen, going over to her fridge and opening it, reaching forwards and taking a beer from the fridge and popping the cap off. Just when she was about to take a sip, a knock came on her door.

She furrowed her eyebrows, moving the bottle away from her lips. She stared at the door, wondering if she had simply heard the knock, but then the knock came again. She sighed before setting the beer down and making her way over to the door, pulling the door open with an annoyed looks on her face. She was about to snap, but stopped when she saw who it was. She looked away from the person, swallowing thickly as she felt nerves start to swirl in her stomach.

"I see you didn't give your room key up after all." Natasha stood there, a small smile on her face, glad to see that Willow had answered the door. She wasn't sure whether or not she would be there, but when she had checked all the cells all of them were empty, so she assumed that the girl would still be in her room. She had to admit that she was relieved to see Willow in her room, it made her feel more hopeful than she had been before. "Can I come in?" She asked. Willow stared at her for a moment before stepping aside and allowing her to enter.

Closing the door behind her, she walked back over to her untouched beer. "Want a drink?" Willow hummed, causing Natasha to turn and look at her, watching her motion towards her beer. Natasha nodded. Willow walked back over to the fridge, pulling it open and pulling out another beer. She took off the top before handing the drink to Natasha who took it with a small thanks. Taking a sip of her drink, she walked over to her couch, sitting down on it and turning on the television. "What made you come here?"

"Wanted to see if you had decided to lock yourself up or not." Natasha answered, walking over to the couch and taking a seat on the other end. She looked at Willow, watching as she tried to act uninterested. Natasha had to hide her smile by taking a sip of her beer. Placing her drink down on the table, she interlaced her hands as she turned her head to look at Willow with curiosity, watching her drink the beer and keeping her eyes trained on the television. "What made you change your mind? Don't tell me it Fury."

Willow slowed in her movements before turning her head to look at Natasha. "How'd you know I went to Fury?" Her voice was soft as she spoke, she sounded so vulnerable and she absolutely despised it. She brushed her hair from her face, turning away from Natasha and quickly taking another sip of her drink.

"Well, assuming he knew your parents and made this whole arrangement with them to keep you safe, I just thought that's where you would go seeing as he's the only other person in this entire building that you actually have conversations with besides me." Natasha answered truthfully.

Willow clenched her jaw, hating the fact that she was spot on and absolutely right. She licked her lips and shook her head. "I'm just trying to figure out what to do. I went to him because I knew he would be straight forwards with me and wouldn't hold back. Was I  surprised by his words? A little. But that's besides the point. Natasha, I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I don't know why I'm still here. What I do know is that I have an alien attached to me that wants to kill and you can't kill it without killing me. You guys can't help me."

Natasha shook her head, sitting up and turning her body towards her. "Willow you don't know that."

"But  I do." Willow whispered. "I've been waiting for Rosalynn to tell me what the hell's going on, but she doesn't know. She can't reach her contact. I don't want another accident to happen, okay? I don't want. . . I don't want anyone else to die."

"Willow―︎" The sound of Natasha's phone going off grabbed her attention. She glanced at Willow who only leaned back into the couch causing her to sigh before picking up the phone and looking at the text. Suddenly a smile fell on her face. "Speak of the devil and she shall appear."

Willow looked at her. "What is it?"

"Rosalynn." Natasha answered, looking up from her phone in order to smile at Willow. "Her contact's here. And she thinks she can help."
