It had been a few days since the new blonde boy had first walked through the comic book store's doors, but he was back.

And the Frog brothers were once again on his back while I stay planted behind the counter watching the encounter with a bemused smile plastered on my face.

"Noticed anything unusual about Santa Carla yet?" The darker haired one of the brothers quizzed Sam.

"No, it's a pretty cool place. If you're a martian." He said while looking through the comics.

"Or a vampire." Edgar stayed with all seriousness. I laugh at his statement while he sends me glares which I dismiss by sticking my tongue out at me.

"I actually can't believe you're relate to them, Ziggy. Like, are you believing this. Are you guys sniffing old newsprints or something?" Sam asks with a laugh. I slap a hand over my mouth to stifle a laugh that threatened to tumble out.

"Well, I'll tell you something. You don't know shit buddy.
You think we just work in a comic bookstore for our folks,
huh?" Edgar defends his and his brothers beliefs.

"Actually, I thought it was a bakery." This time I couldn't help the giggle that fell from my mouth causing Sam to smirk and my brothers to glare at me.

"You're really taking his side, Zig? This is just our cover. We are dedicated to a higher
purpose. We're fighters for Truth Justice, and the American
way." Edgar states with confidence.

"Oh come on, Edgar. Vampires belong in comics and horror films, not in Santa Carla. I get that this is the murder capital of the world, but vampires aren't the reason for that." I said as I walk around the counter and join the three boys in the middle of the store.

"Ziggy's got a valid and completely believable argument there, my friends." Sam said from beside me.

"C'mon Zig, you're our sister. Our BIG sister who should defend us," Alan said.

"I know, but thinking vampires roam the streets is just a little irrational. Surely, you can see where Sam and I are coming from, right?" I counter.

Edgar sighs and hands both Sam and I the same vampire comic from before. "Read this."

"I told you, I don't like horror comics." Sam said.

"Think it as a survival manual. Our number is on the back. Pray you'll never need to call us." Alan told Sam while backing him up into the shelves.

"I'll pray I'll never need to call you. Sure." Sam says with a small smirk twitching onto his lips.
