one
It all started years ago. When a young man walked into Santa Carla, with nothing but a suitcase and the clothes on his back. He was blonde, blue-eyed and incredibly handsome.
I had bumped into him on the Broadwalk one night. Literally. I wasn't looking where I was going, and our bodies collided making both of us fall to the ground.
I rubbed my back while groaning as I slowly sat up to see what - or who - I had walked into.
My blue eyes fell upon his features, studying them quickly yet thoroughly. When the man began to open his eyes, I scrambled closer to see if he was okay.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, I was t looking where I was going, and I walked into you, are you okay? Are you hurt? I didn't hurt you di-" I rambled, but was cut short when the man laughed.
"I'm perfectly fine, don't worry about it."
"Are you sure?" I continued to analyse his face to see if there was any sign of pain, but there wasn't. He nodded and began to study my face too.
"Um- I'm -" the blonde man began but was cut off my the high pitched shouted coming from the comic store my parents owned.
"ZIGGY! COME ON! STOP SLACKING!" my little brother, Edgar shouted to me.
I rolled my eyes but got up anyway. I held a hand out to the man who was still sat of the sidewalk. He grabbed it and pulled himself up.
"I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name?" I asked while still clutching onto his large hand.
"It's Da-"
"ZIGGY!! COME ON BEFORE MOM AND DAD WAKE UP!!" My other little brother, Alan, shouted.
I began to walked backwards towards the comic book store, "sorry, what is it?"
"It's David!" He quickly spoke with a smile on his face, as if he would be cut off by shouts again.
"I'll see you around David,"
"I hope for it, Ziggy?" He asked, to make sure what my brothers were calling me was actually my name. I gently nodded back. I wanted to stay with David, but my brother were dragging back into the store.
I ripped on my hands from their grasp, and waved at David, which he returned.
That was the last time I saw the beautiful blonde boy. That was four years ago. I guess he lied when he said he'd hope to see me around, or maybe something bad happened to him. These were the awful thoughts that have been running through my mind for the past four years. I just wish he would walk through the store doors and everything would be fine.
But nothing was fine. My heart was broken, and it was because of a man who I only met once.
