( MADELAINE PRINCE )

✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:*"𝐈'𝐌 𝐆𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐔𝐓" madelaine yells out into the tower as she walked to the elevator, her black bag hanging on her shoulder and a dark purple summer dress adorning her body. the girls raven hair was tied into a low ponytail and a black and purple headband across.

"where?" super boys gruff voice asked as he stood up from the couch in front of the tv walking to join m'gann in the kitchen.

"yeah, we're making dinner?" m'gann calls out with a smile as she holds the cookbook up for the girl to see.

madelaine glances back before feeling her phone ring "meeting a friend, then going to visit wally" she says shortly well entering the elevator and answering the phone.

"hey, mary i've just left my house" she spoke into te phone happily, a bright grin stretching across her face.

the girl on the other side of the phone having said to meet at the ice cream shop near the school before madelaine agreed and ended the call. mary had approached her a week before at school asking if she'd want to hang out anytime soon and madelaine thought it'd be good to have some normal friends.

"i didn't think you'd be free today" mary admitted as the two girls walking across the streets of central city, ice cream cones in hand "you know with your boyfriend and all" she laughed.

"boyfriend?" madelaine raised an eyebrow in question, not being able to make eye contact with the ginger girl due to the weird feeling she felt whenever she looked at her.

"wally. your boyfriend" mary repeated, her bare arms on display as she lifted her chocolate ice cream to her mouth, the bracelet her mum had given her not in sight but instead a necklace with a ring on it.

madelaine stopped in her tracks before letting a small laugh pass he lips, the girls hand clutching her stomach "me and wally!" she exclaimed "never" she laughed well trying to brush it off.

mary just looked at the girl with a 'really?' look making madelaine stop and look the girl in the eyes, stuttering over her next words well trying to form a proper sentence.

"it's not like that! he likes my friend" she said waving her hand as she grabbed mary's hand and dragged the girl forward with her.

"who?!" mary said suddenly interested as she pulled madelaine to a stop, madelaine just sighed. before turning to the ginger girl who's freckles were becoming more prominent in the sun.

"her names megan. but i think she likes our other friends, so it's just a whole mess right now" she shrugged plopping down onto the concrete pavement on the side, mary just standing with her arms crossed trying not to drop her ice cream.

the ginger girl eventually dropped it before finishing her ice cream and passing the cone to madelaine to eat, the ravenette just staring at her strangely. "what?" mary askes confused.

"how'd you know i like the cone?" she asks with a small smile, squinting to see the girl through the sun. the ginger slightly choking on air before catching herself.

"i didn't, i just- don't like it" she said before scratching her neck awkwardly. the ring shining in the light catching madelaine's attention.

"your moms wedding ring?" she asked, remembering how mary said she didn't know her mom very well or her dad.

mary lifted the small thing and played with it between her fingers, a tiny smile growing on her lips "yeah, my dad proposed before he died" she chuckled to herself, madelaine only being able to smile at the girl sadly.

"makes you feel better, i don't really know my dad and my mums gone for now" she said patting the spot besides her for mary to sit down.

"i don't really think about it that much, i just know my mom was a great person" she said turning to smile at madelaine "she always cared about everyone, way more than she did herself" the girl frowned "she was beyond gorgeous, i see pictures all the time. bright blue eyes, the darkest hair ever"

madelaine couldn't help the tugging feeling at the back of her mind that she knew who mary was speaking about, but no matter how hard she tried it was if something was stopping her from figuring out.

"and my dad ,god, he was a nerd. apparently he was like a genius, but also a real idiot at the same time. the craziest red hair" the redhead girl said before pointing at her own red hair for reference.

"they would be really proud of you, you know that right?" madelaine asked, her eyes feeling watery from the conversation. she brought her own delicate hand to mary's arm for comfort.

mary sniffled slightly well waving her hands in front of her eyes to stop herself from crying "i hope so"

the ravenette lifted her wrist to see the time was quickly approaching 7:30pm and decided it was time to get going to wally's house for jay garrick, the original flashs birthday.

"we should get going, who do you stay with?" madelaine said as she pulled her and mary off the side of the pavement.

"my grandma" mary said quickly as she smiled at madelaine, the ravenette nodding hesitantly before they hugged and parted ways.

madelaine arrived outside of the house at 7:25pm on the dot and knocked at the front door, the girl swinging on the heels of her feet as she waited patiently. the door was open within a second and a blonde man with blue eyes with a wide smile.

"hi, madelaine right? i'm barry, we haven't been introduced properly" he spoke as he stuck his hand out, the girl raising an eyebrow before shaking his hand.

not having a clue who the man was she just nodded as the man moved to the side to let her in, the girl smiling slightly not wanting to seem rude.

the sound of a body falling from the stairs caught their attention as both madelaine and barry turnt to see a boy lying at the bottom of the stairs rubbing his aching head.

"your girlfriends here" barry said with a mischievous smile before zooming off to the other room, the gust of wind that hit madelaine making her eyes widen as realisation came over her.

"not my girlfriend!" wally yelled out to the empty room as he pulled himself to his feet, his hand still rubbing his head slightly.

madelaine only stood in front of him awkwardly as she rocked on her feet "i didn't think the flash was blonde to be honest" she spoke up before taking her bag off her shoulder and taking a seat on the couch.

wally just stared at the pretty girl, his pretty girl, not knowing what to speak about when it wasn't school or the team. he realised he didn't know anything really about the madelaine prince except for what she wanted the team to know.

the boy jumped onto the seat besides her making himself comfortable and throwing his head onto her lap, smiling up at the girl who merely rolled her eyes jokingly at the boy.

"thought i was your girlfriend last week?" she asked as she referred to when they were in the lift with kent, her eyebrow raised in question. she wasn't being serious but the small prick in her heart told her otherwise. but as usual she just shook it off.

wally looked like a fish out of water as he tried to form words "no, that not- i-" the boys rambling continued well madelaine smile widened from above him before she began laughing.

"i'm just kidding, kid" she told him slapping a hand on his mouth to shut him up.

"you cant keep calling me kid!" the boy exclaimed as he suddenly shot up to he was sitting no and turnt his body so he could face her.

"i'm sorry, is your name not kid flash?" she laughed before jumping to her feet seeing the look on his face.

"yes! but no! stop" he said jumping to his feet as well, a smile growing on his face making madelaine's grow as well. the girls feet beginning to run to the other room which she guessed was the dining room considering there were people in there.

"come back mads!" wally yelled as he ran normally not using his super speed to catch up with her.

"young love" joan sighed out happily from her spot next to jay, who had a large cake in front of him. the two older people of the party watching the teenagers chase eachother around the kitchen.

"kids!"
