YESTERDAY, Daryl and Michonne had come back, but Merle didn't. Michonne came back before him and I greeted her with open arms, glad that she hadn't been taken to the Governor. She had told me Merle had let her go while he fought off the Governor, giving us a head start. The majority vote was that some of us would stay at the prison and fight back while Hershel, Beth, and Carl would stay back and watch from afar. The only person who hadn't favored the idea was Carl, but what we're gonna do.
Daryl came after Michonne and he looked visibly saddened by something. I just embraced him as he sniffled and tried to keep up the brave act. He found Merle, but not as a person, as a walker. I may not have liked his brother, but that was still Daryl's brother, he loved him, and I love Daryl.
When morning hit we were all packing up our stuff and putting it into the car. Carl showed more visible anger than the rest of us had ever seen. He was just a kid and it seemed like Rick would forget that sometimes. He's been through a lot for someone his age and I genuinely worried that he would snap one day.
Maggie, Glenn, and I were in charge of shooting at them when Rick, Daryl, Michonne, and Carol drove them out of the tombs leading them to us. We needed them to believe we were gone, we needed the element of surprise in order for this to work.
Beth, Hershel, Carl, and Judith had driven into the woods with all of our stuff except for our weapons. Glenn, Maggie, and I were in our positions hiding behind the makeshift shields. Daryl, Rick, Michonne, and Carol were in the tombs as we all waited for the Governor and his men to come. Then I heard an engine coming our way and shooting at the walls of the prison. They had an explosive that blew up one of our guard towers. I looked over at Maggie who sat next to me looking nervous. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it before giving her a single nod. They we're shooting up everything, from the guard towers, to the gates, to even the walkers. We saw as a bunch of the Governors people stormed into the prison and held up their guns, aiming them in all different directions.
They were ripping down doors and taking charge. They had walked into the prison out of our lines of sight. Now, we played the waiting game until the others drove them out giving us the okay to shoot. After a few minutes we heard some explosions, screams, gunfire, and the alarms started blaring. Maggie and I held up our rifles getting ready to fire at them as they ran out of the prison. Maggie, Glenn, and I simultaneously starred shooting at them. We then saw the Governor trying to sneak away, but Maggie and i shot him. He started shooting back at us, prompting us to hide behind our shields. Then, another guy from another angle shot at us. We continued to shoot at them as they ran for their trucks and drove away.
Maggie and I pulled the face coverings off of our heads and looked at each other. We both then looked over at Glenn who was on the other side of the prison who pulled up his own face covering to look at us.
"We did it?" Maggie asked in disbelief.
"We did it. Come on down." Glenn answered as he started to walk down the stairs while I followed Maggie down the steps so we could meet with the others. I knew that it couldn't be that easy, that uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach had creeped back in. They were going to come back, I felt it in my gut.

"We did it. We drove them out." Rick said as we all stood around each other except for Hershel, Beth, Carl, and Judith
"We should go after them." Michonne suggested.
"We should finish it," Daryl agreed.
"It is finished. Didn't you see them hightail it out of here?"
"It's not finished and you know it Mags." I shook my head.
"They could regroup." Michonne agreed with me.
"We can't take the chance. He's not gonna stop." Glenn said aggravatedly.
"They're right. We can't keep living like this." Carol said out of breath from right next to me.
"So we take the fight back to Woodbury. We barely made it back last time." Maggie said.
"I don't care." Daryl said shaking his head.
"Yeah." Rick sighed.
"Let's check on the others." He continued as we all followed him back into our cell block. Judith was in Beth's arms who had walked in first followed by Carl and Hershel.

We were going to Woodbury. This fight was far from over, and we all knew that. We all had our weapons on us per usual, while also being in the truck, well, Michonne and Rick would be. I was with Daryl on his motorcycle when he passed a bag to Michonne who put it in the truck.
I wrapped my arms around Daryl's waist as he held onto my arms, caressing my arms with his hands.
"We're gonna end this. It's not over until the Governor is dead." I told him as he looked back at me and kissed my forehead. We both saw Maggie and Glenn walk up to Rick so we got off of the motorcycle and walked closer to hear the conversation.
"Rick, we're staying. We don't know where the Governor is. If he comes back, we'll hold him off." Glenn stated.
"Just the four of us? All right." Daryl said before putting the crossbow around his body before getting back on the motorcycle. I walked over to Glenn and hugged him first.
"Don't do anything stupid until I get back." I told him.
"How can I? Your taking all the stupid with you."
"Love you nerd."
"Love you too man beater. Please be careful."
"I will." I promised, hoping that I lived to be able to keep it. I then went over to Maggie and hugged her also.
"I know I've been calling you my sister now for quite sometime now, and you always will be. I need you safe too, yeah? Watch after him for me will ya?" I asked her.
"I will. You better be safe too. You're the older sister I never had." She smiled at me as we pulled away from each other. I walked back over to Daryl and got on his motorcycle, while the others opened the gate for us.
As we made it further down the street after riding out of the prison there was a truck in the middle of the rode, along with walkers munching on the corpses of random people. Michonne sliced the head off of one, Daryl shot an arrow in one's head, while I sliced the heads of two walkers. We walked ahead over to the truck to see a walker by the truck and Rick stabbed that one in the head before we heard something hit the window against the inside of the truck. Daryl moved out of the way, seeing as he was right next to the truck. We all turned to see a woman on the other side of the window with curly brunette hair. Rick held up his gun at the window as the woman walked out of the truck with her hands up. Daryl closed the door to the truck after he looked inside to see that she was alone.

We walked with the woman, who's name had been Karen, back to Woodbury with us. She told us that the Governor killed all of the people who had fought with him at the prison. She also told us that Andrea had escaped and heading back to us, but we never saw her, so something went wrong. As we walked further and further towards the town with our guns raised in the air, one of the people on the other side of their wall shot at us. We shot back at each other repeatedly until Karen yelled out a name, the name being Tyreese.
"It's me! Don't-." Karen started as she stood up before Rick pulled her back down behind the car.
"Get down!"
"Karen! Karen, are you okay?" Tyreese asked while yelling back.
"I'm fine!" She answered as she stood up from behind the car and kept her hands up.
"Where's the Governor?"
"He fired on everyone. He killed them all."
"Why are you with them?"
"They saved me."
"We're coming out!" Rick yelled before looking back at Daryl, Michonne, and I, as we all shook our heads.
"We're coming out!" Rick exclaimed again before putting his hands up, prompting us to come out too. When we get out of this, and we don't die, I am going to kill Rick. We held up our hands and walked closer to the gate. Tyreese opened up the gate and him and a young women came out. I recognized them. They were two out of four of the people Rick kicked out a while ago, but then again, he was seeing Lori so he wasn't exactly right in the head. We continued to walk toward them before we all put our hands down.
"What are you doing here?" Tyreese questioned Rick.
"We were coming to finish this until we saw what the Governor did." Rick answered referring to the dead bodies we saw getting munched on by walkers.
"He-he killed them?"
"Yeah. Karen told us Andrea hopped the wall going for the prison. She never made it. She might be here." Rick informed them as Tyreese and Sasha led us into the town. We walked back to the place where he held Maggie and Glenn assuming he was holding Andrea there.
"This is where he had Glenn and Maggie." Rick informed them as they followed us.
"The Governor held people here?" Tyreese questioned uneasily.
"He did more than hold them." Daryl answered as we walked further into the room with our weapons up. We heard a thumping sound a long with the sound of metal creaking as we reached a door. We all stopped in front of it holding up our weapons as a precaution.
"Will you open it?" Michonne questioned as Daryl and I held up our rifles.
"One, two..." Rick trailed off before he pushed open the door. We saw a dead walker on the floor before we saw a hand peaking out of the door. Michonne rushed in and crouched down beside the body. It was Andrea. We rushed in to look at her to see her looking exhausted and bloodied up.
"I tried to stop them." She told us tiredly.
"You're burning up." Michonne said before Andrea pulled down her sleeve showcasing a nasty walker bite. We all looked at her somberly.
"Judith, Carl, the rest of them..." Andrea trailed off with tears in her eyes.
"Us. The rest of us." Rick corrected her as he was bent down beside her.
"Are they alive?" Andrea asked as Rick looked back at Daryl and I. He turned back to Andrea and sighed.
"Yeah, they're alive." Rick nodded as Andrea looked at Daryl, Rick, and I with a sad smile on her face. She then looked at Michonne and put her hand on her knee.
"It's good you found them." She smiled while Michonne nodded and started crying.
"No one can make it alone now." Andrea told Rick.
"I never could." Daryl chimed in whole looking at me. I held his hand and squeezed it. We turned our attention back over to Andrea.
"I just didn't want anyone to die." She told us.
"We know." I told her softly. She looked and grinned my way before adjusting the way she sat on the ground.
"I can do it myself." She told us referring to killing herself before the infection spread.
"No." Michonne dismissed the idea.
"I have to. While I still can." Andrea told Michonne who was crying while nodding her head.
"Please?" Andrea pleaded looking at Rick.
"I know how the safety works." Andrea joked looking at Rick and I, seeing as we were the only ones who would understand the joke. I held my head down before looking at the scene unfold before me. Rick handed Andrea the handgun.
"Well, I'm not going anywhere." Michonne said firmly as Andrea looked at her then Daryl.
"I tried." She mumbled.
"Yeah. You did. You did." Rick said.
"I'm sorry." I told her softly before Daryl and I walked out of the room. Rick then followed us out before closing the door. We all waited outside the door, awaiting what Rick, Daryl, and I didn't want to happen. I know that it was worse for Michonne seeing as she was on the other side with Andrea. We all then heard the gunshot go off, ringing against the walls.

It had been settled. We were taking in the people of Woodbury. Andrea would've wanted all of us to come together. We had taken a few of their vehicles so that we could transport all of the people. I still rode on the motorcycle with Daryl on the way back, we had been leading the other vehicles back to the prison. Glenn and Maggie were the ones who had opened the gates for all of us before closing is back once all of the cars were in.
Daryl and I got off of the motorcycle, meeting the rest of the group halfway. Karen and Tyreese led the people out of the buses the others helped lead them into the prison. These people would join us now. They shouldn't be with someone like the Governor who is literally a crazy person. We still didn't know where he was which was going to be an extra problem on our list of problems. Right now though, all we needed to worry about, is the other people that we brought in. I think us uniting will bring us closer...well...I hope it will.
Damn y'all. I'm straight up emotional guys. The sequel won't be up for quite a while unfortunately. I still have to write up Willow and Irreplaceable Love, along with all of the other books I need to get started. I will keeping this short so I can really get into what I want to say in the last chapter of this book.
