H I S T O R Y

" the gifted "

a long time ago, before everton existed, there was a group of seven travelers. when they arrived on land, they discovered a mysterious and beautiful cave. inside, crystals adorned the walls and gave light, exposing a path to a pool of water. each traveler dipped into the pool as a voice beckoned them to do so. after that they were granted powerful abilities that helped them create a new village. telekinesis for building, invisibility for collecting materials or from large beasts, super strength for steadying beams and fighting off predators, and flight to watch and protect as the village was built. it wasn't long until children were born and honed these capabilities as well.

" the hybrids "

a couple years after the village had been built, ships full of humans arrived. the new environment was strange and many died off due to predators and sickness. due to this, the humans started to adapt and called themselves hybrids. they came across the small village of the gifted people and were amazed by them. seeing as how they had no government, the hybrids insisted on starting one. therefore, a palace was built by the gifted for the hybrids and the kingdom was known as everton. instantly, rule was established among the strongest of the hybrids and all was peaceful until hybrids started to grow suspicious and fearful of the the gifted's capabilities. in order to equal themselves, they began to study the magic the mages practiced and started to use it as their defense and weapon.

" disciples "

19 years ago, a group of descendants saw how hybrids were beginning to become threats to them. the studying and practicing of magic made the royals hungry for power and supremacy over all. this small group of descendants went to the aide of some royal guards who felt the same, rallying them to their side. dalibor, the leader of this small group, noticed something within him, a calling. he realized that the gifted had never reached their fullest potential. dalibor traveled off to find the cave where their ancestors had received their powers. when he jumped into the pool, he discovered an underwater tunnel. dalibor swam through it and broke through the entrance, placing his eyes on a large, white crystal. he touched it and was suddenly teleported back to the forest where the rebel guards and his descendant friends were. light surged from him and hit the other descendants, bestowing them with new capabilities, powers that they had never known to exist. dalibor had received the power of light energy, the strongest of them all.

" dalibor's uprising "

not long after the gifted received their new powers were they referred to as the disciples. dalibor was seen as a savior to his people as he promised to bring peace to both hybrids and descendants. but when the royal family caught news of this from a spy within the rebel group, they began to destroy the village of the descendants and brutally murdered dalibor's family. surging with rage, grief, and hate, dalibor transformed. his light energy was replaced with dark and he brought total and utter destruction upon the kingdom of everton. rebels still fought for the side of good, but ended up destroying dalibor, knowing that he was consumed by evil. the rebels failed, and the royal family executed everyone they could find who was involved in the uprising. after this, descendants were casted out of the kingdom and were forbidden from entering or even falling in love with hybrids. people were slaughtered. homes were destroyed. but the heart of dalibor lived on as he transferred his power to his one and only descendant.

P E O P L E

" hybrids "

the hybrids are a stronger, faster, and smarter human. they practice magic since they cannot hone powers of their own. they live in the town and many are shopkeepers, blacksmiths, bakers, tailors, inventors, and so on. the farmers live on the outskirts of the kingdom of everton and are the poorest of the hybrids. the hybrids are loyal to their royals and abide by the laws given.

" royals "

the royal family. they are supported by their hybrid guards, servants, scribes, and advisors. the royal family are hybrids themselves and receive the highest form of education on general studies and magic. the royal family despises descendants after the uprising that happened nearly 19 years ago. king arthur and queen addiena ruled that all descendants must be cast outside the city into their own village. during this movement process, the descendants were treated viciously. numerous people died and the numbers continue to grow. the descendants are no longer people. they are animals.

" descendants "

the descendants are the people born from "the gifted". instead of practicing magic like the hybrids, they are born with powers. most descendants have the ability of telekinesis, invisibility, speed, super strength, or flight. descendants don't consider themselves to be power hungry people and are rather humble. they were ashamed of the failire of the uprising and now live in fear as they are threatened every single day.

" scions "

the scions are the few descendants who are directly born from the "disciples". instead of having telekinesis, invisibility, super strength, or flight, scions can have any sort of power. because of this, they are considered to be one of the strongest beings in the world and are wildly feared by hybrids. scions had to go into hiding after the uprising and vowed to never use their powers for the sake of their own safety.
that's all changed now.

L A N D

" village "

this is the village of everton where many of the hybrids live and where they can find all the shops, bakeries, etc. their currency is called evorts and everything is rated off of that.
1 evort = 1 american dollar.

" plains "

the plains are where the hybrid farmers live to grow their crops. they're very kind people and tend to side with the descendants. they're loyal to their queen but hope one day that the descendants can be free.

" palace of everton "

the everton palace is found within the village and is the focul point of everton. guards protect the palace 24/7 and anyone who visits needs a special letter given directly from the king. not much is known about the palace.

" lyra's valley "

this is the place where all the descendants and scions took refuge. they named it lyra's valley after the rebel guard who lead her troops to defend the descendant peoples. she died in the battle, but her bravery and honor lives on in the naming of their new home.

" exodus "

exodus is a camp deep in the forest that serves as a safe haven for the scions. it is lead by jurian, a middle aged descendant who decided to take the scions into hiding, knowing that they are the last hope. there, the few scions train and will eventually lead one final attempt to win back their freedom.

" forest "

the forest is luscious and thick with trees. many types of creatures live within it, most are predators. no one ever travels in the forest alone.

" wishing falls "

the wishing falls is a beautiful place. there are two waterfalls that pour into a large pool of water that then leads to the river. it's a nice place to decompress and relax.
