( SERAPHINA )

✧・゚: *✧・゚:*𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐀 𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐓 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐊. she had been feeling weak since she gave her energy to boyd, so as she lay in her bed that morning the thought of school didn't even cross her mind. asmodeus passed her bedroom with a glum look as he got ready for the day. he would've asked lilith for advice but the woman hadn't been seen in weeks, she had gone "out of town"

"still nothing?" evangelina asked as she waited outside of the bathroom for the boy to finish up, he zipped up his jeans well shaking his head solemnly. "it's never been this hard for her" the younger girl tried reasoning "she's always bounced back in a day"

seraphina knew it was earth that was weakening her like this, she wasn't as strong as she was when she came to earth. she couldn't control people as easier as before, she couldn't grow her horns and it hurt her whole body to grow her claws. she was losing herself and she couldn't figure out why. she would've asked lilith for help but lilith was never around.

"i can hear you" she called from her bedroom, finding the strength to sit up and call out to the two. asmodeus only shook his head well drying his hands before finding his way to the threshold of her door.

"we're only worried for you" he tried reasoning with her, his eyes staring at the arum lillies on her ceiling. they reminded him so much of dorothy. "we'll figure out what's wrong after school" the boy said as he walked away.

asmodeus had adapted to the human life much quicker than seraphina and evangelina had ever been able to, seraphina knew it was because he enjoyed it up on earth. he was free to be whoever he wanted and do whatever he wanted. he wasn't shackled by his father to rule over the souls of the dead. on earth he could exist alone.

seraphina waited a few minutes after hearing the front door lock before pulling herself from her bed, her bare feet hitting the cold wooden tiles of her room. melissa's bedroom window was shut and so were her blinds. her feet walked to liliths room and slowly she unlocked the door.

it was a plain room, nothing ever stood out. lilith had adapted the plain single mother front without question. seraphina knew her mother better though, she walked over to her bed pulling the jewellery box on her bedside table in front of her.

she took her time as she looked at each ring and necklace, earrings and bracelets all dating back to the beginning of time. there had always been one ring though that never left seraphina's mind. made from tungsten and had the most unique designs following the shape. as she looked closer she realised the designs were filled with blood. her blood. her blood from when she were only a baby.

it was a sacrifice that lilith had made. after abandoning eden and adam she had found solitude in a cave, a cave where she bare her first child. a cave where her first child was taken from her. senoi, sansenoi and sammangelof had swore to kill a hundred of her children each day till she returned to eden. but lilith couldn't do it. she refused to lie under a man who didn't love her. so she found lucifer. and she fell in love with him, and they had a beautiful baby girl.

but lilith didn't want to give up her beautiful baby girl, so she returned to eden. she returned to they couldn't take her away like they had all her other children. she pricked seraphina's finger and let the blood drip into a ring that she had made. this way it anything were to happen to the girl she'd always be able to bring her back, as long as she had her blood.

the sound of the front door opening brought seraphina's attention up, dropping the tungsten ring back into the box she walked slowly to the bedroom door. she could hear the stairs creaking and before thinking she grabbed the intruders arms and slammed them against the wall. she knew her body was punish her later.

taking in the astonishingly pale eyes before her she let go off the grip she had on isaac's arms and took a step back "what are you doing?" she nearly all but yelled, he had just walked into her house uninvited.

"you weren't at school?" he asked as he caught himself, taking in her appearance. "i thought you were dead" the boy tried explaining with a small hint of urgency to his tone.

"maybe not physically but mentally" she scoffed as she turned and made her way to her bedroom not waiting to see if the boy was following. isaac found that his eyes immediately tracked to the scars on her back again.

"we haven't seen you since..." he trailed off not trusting his voice to say the words. "since boyd died" he thought. he himself still hadn't processed it.

"i've been tired" she said taking a seat on her bed. isaac entered her room and glanced around, it looked like a typical teenage girl bedroom. it didn't seem like a seraphina bedroom.

"i thought the devil never slept" the boy tried making a joke as he crossed his arms leaning against the door frame. she wanted to laugh at the corny attempt at cheering her up but even laughing seemed to hurt.

after realising his joke didn't work the boys legs trailed closer to her bed, hesitantly and cautiously he sat at the foot of the bed, opposite to where she leant against her headboard. "what happened to you?" he questioned before he could stop himself.

"what happened to me is none of your concern" seraphina had always closed herself off. no matter what was between them or what could've been between them she wouldn't let herself become a prisoner to the pain once more. she'd rather die than that.

"no, i mean what, happened, to you?" he says slower as he leaned forward on the bed and lifts his hand slowly to not scare her away. his fingers finding the scars on her back. her eyes shutting as she shifted uncomfortable, slight tears coating her eyes.

"i used to be beautiful you know" she wanted to laugh, here she was with a wolf trying not to break out into tears over a bunch of wings. "i used to be so, so beautiful" her words confusing isaac.

"i was so beautiful before they dragged me to hell" seraphina had known a life before babylon, before all the fire and flesh. she had known a life in eden, maybe it had been a dream but she refused to believe that. it was only a month away but a month was enough to know it was home.

she slowly removed the strap to her tank top on her shoulder before turning her body so he could see the scars more closely. this was all too close for comfort for her but she didn't want to turn back around. isaac's large but gentle hands found the other strap before pushing it down her shoulder.

"they carved them right off my back and hung them on a wall for the heavens to see. the wings of the devils daughter and the last thing connecting lilith to eden" she was insanely still as he traced the shape. a hiccup leaving her throat as it shook with the pain of a cry begging to be released.

shuddering like a lyre she found she was not as strong as she seemed, a small cry leaving her throat. a cry which had been wanting to be released since the day she had her wings stolen. groaning and clutching her stomach, she felt his mortally warm hands reaching around her shoulders and pulling her back into his chest.

"they took my wings" she weeped as she let her head fall backwards onto his shoulder. his lips finding the temple of her head as he tried to soothe the growing cries. "how could they take my wings?" maybe she was asking god, maybe she was asking lucifer.

she thought of the hollow throats of the angels who took her birth right, how they smelt of honey and vodka and how she hadn't been able to drink vodka without having her gut twist. how they had made her empty promises of a better life once they were gone. and how everything she had been told that month was a cruel plot.

isaac's soothing didn't stop even when she stuffed her face into his throat, his grip didn't loosen when her skin burnt against his own. he didn't know what to call what was going on between them, but he knew it was fragile and intoxicating to the point he didn't want more but instead needed more.

"𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝?" after her moment of weakness with isaac she had woken up to an empty bed and no isaac, covers thrown over herself and all the doors in the house locked. she had gotten a call from stiles not long after saying it was urgent, so she didn't question as she rushed into the locker room.

cora sat on one of the benches with a bloody head, "are you okay?" stiles asked the girl as he leaned over her trying to wipe away the blood which dripped.

"she doesn't look okay" seraphina pointed out as she joined lydia's side, the dropped weight on the floor and dried blood not leaving much to the imagination.

"i'll heal and who invited the demon?" cora asked as she winced well doubling over.

"i'll act like you didn't just say that considering i came to check if you were alright?" when seraphina had grown a heart she didn't know but she was far too deep now to abandon it. if asmodeus had seen her now she know she'd never hear the end of it.

"do you realize how suicidally crazy that was? what were you thinking, going after them?" stiles asked as he rubbed his forehead stressed out, seraphina wanted to roll her eyes at the girls stupidity. she went after the twins.

"i did it for boyd! none of you were doing anything" the girl said angrily as she stood up from the bench, her balance obviously not the best.

"we're trying-" scott tried to explain but she didn't let him finish as she pointed a finger to his chest,

"and you're failing. you're just a bunch of stupid teenagers, running around, thinking that you can stop people from getting killed. but all you do is show up late. all you really do is find the bodies" her words cutting deep into each one of their souls.

she didn't wait before storming out "she's definitely a hale. mmm, i'll make sure she gets home" stiles said going to follow after her.

"where have you been?" scott asked turning to seraphina trying to shake off cora's words, the girl flipped her hair over her shoulders before shrugging.

"at home" she said simply before taking a seat on the bench cora once sat on. scott only stared for a few seconds too long before nodding. seraphina was not his responsibility and no matter how worried about her he was he knew she wouldn't tell him anything.

"i need you to stay in school, something big is going to go down and i need you by my side if it does" the boy said turning to both girls, seraphina nodding without a second thought before lydia followed along.

"𝐬𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞" evangelina's voice asked as she joined seraphina's side at the recital. seraphina hadn't gone home just as scott asked. she stayed. she had been informed the next sacrifice would be a teacher, a guardian.

"not for reasons you want to know" seraphina told the younger girl, only then did she notice the violin in her hands. her eyes finding evangelina's before the younger girl rolled her eyes. "since when?"

"since last month" she wanted to scoff, why would she except seraphina to care. she didn't care if she stopped breathing. "asmodeus went home by the way, said he had a date tonight" before being able to turn around she felt seraphina grab her wrist.

"listen-" she started pulling evangelina closer "if anything happens, don't leave, don't go home. find me"  she didn't know why she was begging. but at the rate they were going, everyone in beacon hills would've ended up dead.

"just find me first" evangelina didn't want to question what was going on and decided staying out of the loop seemed for the best, before nodding and making her way to the stage.

seraphina watched as danny and evangelina played, she was too concentrated on the two on the stage she didn't notice lydia begin to walk out of the hall. she didn't notice isaac at the back of the hall. she didn't notice aiden searching for his phone. she didn't notice till it was too late.

a hand on her arm brought her attention away, it was scott looking at her with the most panicked eyes she'd ever seen. "where's lydia?" he asked. she looked over his shoulder to see the strawberry blonde gone.

"oh my god" seraphina muttered to herself as the final puzzle piece clicked. everything about lydia falling into place, especially the calling she had to her. "finds the bodies" she muttered before rushing out of the hall.

"lydia!" she heard as she ran into stiles in the halls, scott joining their side. "she's not answering her texts" the boy worried. "what do we do?"

before anyone could answer a screeching sound nearly tore seraphina's eardrums as she grabbed onto her ears, the same thing happening to scott and surely to every other supernatural creature in beacon hills. she was a banshee. the wailing woman. scott's eyes widening before he took off not letting the other two follow.

"lydia!" seraphina screamed as she ran towards the sound. a dark room in front of her blocking her from the girl "help me!" she yelled to stiles. the two of them trying to push through whatever was blocking the door. the english teacher standing with a knife to lydia's throat.

"drop it!" sheriff stilinski's voice yelled from inside the room as he held a gun to jennifer, the darach not thinking twice before throwing a knife through the air into his chest. stiles and seraphina still trying to push past the door.

scott coming in through a back door jumping across tables directly towards jennifer, dodging her hits before the woman threw him back with one push into the glass at the back. his body falling unconscious on the floor.

"there was a girl, years ago, we found her in the woods. her face and body slashed apart, that was you wasn't it?" sheriff stilinski asked as he picked his gun back up from the floor and knelt.

"maybe i should've started with philosophers, with knowledge and strategy" she asked taking a step forward but stilinski shot her leg, the bullet wound healing instantly. "with healers" she said pushing the knife further "with warriors" pushing him against the stacked up tables "guardians" his badge being squashed in her palm. "virgins" before placing a kiss against the mans lips.

seraphina didn't process what happened in the next few seconds as the lights in the halls flickered out for just a second and the wind picked up, all sound around them silencing for a moment as if they'd all just gone death.

stills efforts besides her stilling for a second before seraphina made the decision to smash an arm through the glass window to opening the door, the boy pushing forward with her. scott with his best efforts pulling himself to his feet.

"...dad?" stiles called as the three of them stared at the large broken windows, no sign of jennifer, sheriff stilinski or even lydia martin.
