( SERAPHINA )

✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:*𝐈𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝟑 𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐒 since the incident in the cupboard with isaac and seraphina had done a well enough job avoiding the wolves and the lanky boy named biles. however, the night approaching showed no signs of solitude as the school bus pulled up outside of a dreadful motel for the night.

"will you be okay?" evangelina asked the girl as she began to stand from the seat in front of seraphina, she knew better than to get on the girls nerves when she was like this. she also knew seraphina wouldn't hesitate to slice her throat.

seraphina's oddly unemotional eyes glanced away from the back of isaac's head towards the girl she was meant to call her sister. a nod was sent her way before seraphina stood, grabbing  a hold of her duffle bag and beginning to make her way off the bus.

evangelina only stared before rolling her eyes and following after. she had tried staying under the radar since moving to beacon hills and had tried being a normal "teenager" but it seemed everywhere she or seraphina went, trouble followed. typical for demons.

"i've seen worse...." the voice of stiles, a boy two years older than evangelina said from a few feet ahead. he stood with the puppy dog eyed neighbor she had seen a few times. she knew what he was, seraphina was sure to warn her before they went on the trip.

"where have you seen worse?" scott asked stiles exasperatedly as they stared upon the run down, mouldy, death paradise motel. evangelina found herself passing them before turning and giving them a grin.

"babylon" she found herself laughing, maybe they knew who she was, and maybe they didn't. either way, by the end of the night they'd be sure to know that seraphina wasn't the only one visiting from the underworld.

"𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦" seraphina's voice cut through the odd silence of the room. two double beds sat in the middle of the room, steam coming in from the bathroom as seraphina took a shower. evangelina only rolled her eyes before throwing her bag into the corner of the room.

"evangelina!" seraphina called again after not receiving an answer, she may not have particularly enjoyed the girls presence or even liked her so much for that matter but she had a duty as the daughter of lilith and she would live up to it.

"yes! lucifers sake" evangelina called in annoyance, she was treated like a child she thought. she'd been alive for hundreds of years and had experienced just as much as her sister or mother and neither of them seemed to understand that.

the silence in the room was broken as a growl from evangelina's stomach filled the silence, she groaned before contemplating her words "i'm going to the vending machine to buy a snack. i'll be two minutes" without waiting for a reply she found her hand latching to the handle and leaving.

seraphina only rolled her eyes as she leaned her forehead against the tiled bathroom wall. the water was scolding her skin as it dripped down her back. old scars and bruises on full display for anyone that was to walk in. the most intriguing being the two narrow and deep scars on her upper back. they looked like they were still healing, but seraphina had been healing for years.

the motel room door unlocking caught her attention, not thinking twice to it assuming it was evangelina as she continued to soak in the hot water. her hair losing it's flatness as it had begun to curl back naturally.

"did you bring me something to eat?" seraphina called out as she turnt off the shower, the water flowing down the drain being audible as she began to step out the shower not bothering to grab the towel on the radiator.

as she continued to make her way out of the bathroom she called out for the girl again, the sound of her wet hair dripping onto the floor "i said did you-" the words dying out in her throat as she gasped in shock.

the phone in isaac's hand dropping to the floor in shock as his hands quickly found his eyes, the boy not knowing what to do as his whole body began to heat up. his feet began shuffling as he contemplated turning around or just walking out the room.

seraphina stared at the confused boy in amusement as a small smile began to spread across her lips, a laugh catching the tip of her tongue but not escaping as she realised this was probably odd for him.

she walked back to the bathroom picking up the nearly appropriate towel and wrapping it around her wet body, she cleared her throat as she returned to her previous spot.

"decent?" the boy asked as he cleared his throat, the word coming out crooked as he tried catching his breath. whatever weird attraction he had to the girl before was certainly not helping him out at the moment.

"decent" she confirmed as she shut the bathroom door, the steam making the temperature in the room uncomfortable. isaac slowly turnt around, doing a double take to make sure her lady parts were covered.

the boy scrambled to pick his phone off the floor as he took a step back making sure the distance between the two was acceptable. the two stood in an awkward silence on isaac's end for a few seconds before seraphina raised an eyebrow in question.

"yeah, yeah- i was coming to ask if you.. needed anything? after-" not letting him finish his sentence the girl shook her head in protest not wanting to be reminded of the ordeal. she thought they had moved past it and would've never had to speak about it again.

"i am okay, should be asking you that though" seraphina wasn't one to be awkward, but with past events with the blonde she didn't know where they stood. they weren't friends but they weren't acquaintances, if the flirting and fleeting touches meant anything to him like they did her.

"just bad memories" the boy sighed out as he took a seat on evangelina's bed. the still made sheets confusing him as he glanced to the other bag in the corner of the room. he nodded towards it expecting an answer.

"my... sister" she said hesitantly as she tilted her head, the word leaving her lips leaving a bitter taste. years of pent up jealousy and hatred trying to make their way out.

isaac just nodded slowly as he tried to process the fact that there were two demons in beacon hills not one. three including lilith. he suddenly shot to his feet as he stuck his phone out "incase you ever need anything"

the boy would've liked to blame his new found worry for the girl on the incident in the closet but he knew it was more than that. there was an unspoken string between the two. every time he tried distancing himself from her the string only pulled them closer. maybe he'd thank the string one day. the day he learnt to love the devil perhaps.

"let me get my phone to check it" seraphina said slowly but surely as she turnt and began making her way to the bathroom where she'd left her phone. isaac's eyes finding her back quickly admiring her legs before his eyes trailed to her scars.

his curiosity built as he stared at the shape of them, it wasn't hard to put together what was there once. maybe if he knew her better he'd ask but he didn't and he also knew he wouldn't tell her if he asked about his episode.

she walked back quickly and took his phone before copying the number down and saving her contact. this had been the most civil interaction they'd had in the past three or four weeks she'd known him and she knew better than to think it'd last.

the sound of the door opening caught the twos attention as evangelina entered, arms full of treats and drinks. isaac shot to his feet as he made a distance between the two of them.

"i'm gonna-" "yeah" he started as seraphina finished, the girl walking back into the bathroom as isaac made his way out the room, exchanging an awkward smile with evangelina. the younger girl only staring at the spot the two stood a second ago with squinted eyes.

"𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞?" evangelina asked from her spot on her bed, she was ready to sleep and fade away from the mortal realm and back to babylon spiritually. seraphina sat on her own bed with a arcydymite gem in hand. they were usually used to communicate with the dead who had passed over, but seraphina used it to watch asmodeus.

"tell you what?" she questioned as she stayed focused on the still body of asmodeus, lay across his bed in his unnecessarily massive room. he room was empty besides the bed situated in the middle and the carved wooden drawers. his room had always been his solitude, away from his father and mother, his responsibilities as prince.

"what happened with the wolf, i can basically smell him all over you" evangelina wanted to scoff, their whole lives they had never once thought of becoming romantically involved with a wolf. and now here seraphina sat smelling like she'd been mated.

"nothing happened. and even so, if anything had happened- which it didn't, that'd be none of your business" she wanted to scoff in the girls face. just because they shared blood, it did not make them family in her eyes.

"i'm your sister" evangelina argued as she sat up from her spot on the bed. her unusually deep-set eyes shooting to seraphina's figure, the older girl not even glancing to give her the time of day.

seraphina wanted to laugh. sister her ass. liliths thousands of incubus' held the same amount of meaning evangelina did to her, little to nothing. "you are not my sister"

evangelina had heard those words fall from seraphina's lips for hundreds of years and had learned after the first few times to not take it personally, she had been lilith's one and only child at a point in time. the child that lilith would favour and protect, and then evangelina came along. and suddenly lilith had two priorities.

"what am i then?" evangelina asked pushing herself to her feet and approaching seraphina's bed. the gem now not her main focus as seraphina tucked it into the pocket of the hoodie she wore, asmodeus would have to wait.

if evangelina had not been born maybe her and lilith could've stayed in hell and wouldn't have had to go to babylon. maybe her father would've begun to care, if he'd the time. but no, evangelina was born and lucifer began to resent lilith as well as seraphina. evangelina had unknowingly stolen the one opportunity seraphina had to make a deal with the devil.

"a disgrace," seraphina started as she stood from her bed "a mistake, to put it simply, a monster" she spat, the venom obvious in her tone. she meant every word of it as she saw a thin layer of tears cover evangelina's eyes.

seraphina may have wanted to protect evangelina from the terrors of mortals but that didn't mean she liked the girl in any way. she just had enough empathy to not let someone suffer the same way she did, to break the way she did, as recovery was not an option after all she'd been through.

evangelina only scoffed before storming out of the room, seraphina watching from her spot.

"𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐝" seraphina muttered as she slid her trainers onto her feet and made her way to her motel door, after her and evangelina's arguement the girl hadn't returned to the room. leaving a demon and a motel full of wolves was not the best idea.

seraphina didn't intend to apologise or anything but rather force the girl back to the room. 

"seraphina!" the annoyingly recognisable voice of stiles called out from a few doors down as she stepped foot onto the concrete balcony of the motel, the boy looked dishevelled and stressed as he ran towards her.

she noticed as he got closer that he was wet, before she had time to question what was going on the boy had latched a hand on her wrist and began dragging her towards the room he'd just exited.

"get off me!" she whisper yelled as she came face to face with the pretty strawberry blonde lydia. a flare held in her hand, her denim jacket soaked to her shoulders. the bathroom floor behind her soaked and boyd passed out in the tub, a safe on the floor besides it.

the girl had no clue what was going on and didn't have time to figure it out either as lydia passed her the flare and sent her a thumbs up before running out. stiles placed both his hands on her shoulder gently before speaking "isaac is under some wolfsbane spell or something, use the heat from the flare to snap him out of it. thanks!" the boy said patting her shoulder before also exiting.

she stood frozen with an unopened flare in her hand and wide eyes as she tried to process everything the boy had just told her. "where the hells isaac?" she muttered as she looked back towards boyd and the empty beds.

soft whimpers from under the bed closest to the bathroom, seraphina's body freezing in confusion before she let herself understand everything. the whimpers continued as she took slow steps towards the bed. 

"isaac?" she whispered lowly as she began to crouch to look under the bed, somehow there he lay. the six foot three boy squashed as close to the wall as possible under the unusually large bed.

she didn't know exactly what she was meant to do but her first instinct was to roll the flare towards isaac. taking the cap off she quickly backed away as she pushed it as far back as possible.

the sound of a growl was heard before a confused sound of pain, "shit" the boy swore as he managed to crawl out from under the bed. cradling his right hand which stung bright red from the heat, eyes finding seraphina.

"what happened?" he asked noticing the state the room was in, all seraphina could do was shrug with a small sigh. the weight from the work of the day hitting her, the arguing and confusion. it was unusual for her to not be in control. she was not enjoying earth.

"this motel is seriously messed up" she found herself shivering, the air from the open door hitting her bare legs. isaac nodded in agreement before beginning to make his way towards the door.

the girl just watched him go before watching him stop at the door "are you coming?" he asked as he opened the door wider for her to follow. the girl glanced at him before the door and nodding following alongside the boy.

the two walked in silence down the stairs towards the bus, it seemed they weren't the only ones who had the same idea as allison, scott, lydia and stiles all approached at the same time. the four shared looks with the two, isaac looking between seraphina and the group not knowing what to say.

"can we figure this out tomorrow?" the demon asked as a yawn left her throat, the tiredness catching up quickly "i just need to sleep" she begged as he found herself prying the school bus doors open not waiting for help.

"i can agree with you on that one" lydia nodded as she followed after.

seraphina entered the bus first, her eyes finding evangelina's sleeping form at the back. a hoodie under her head for comfort and a coat draped over her peaceful body. whatever nerves and worries she had a few minutes ago seemingly gone. whether she admitted it or not. 

she slit into the seat a few in front of evangelina's and pushed herself closer to the window before leaning her head against the glass. she felt the space besides her shift but didn't open her eyes as as felt something large being draped over her.

she didn't need to look to know who it was, his presence was enough to awaken her. seraphina didn't enjoy earth, but at times she found herself not hating it so much.

i'd say this is kind of a filler but like development as well, and the arguement between seraphina and evangelina was very much needed just so their development had something to develop off and i guess you could say isaac and seraphina are civil now. im bringing asmodeus back as well.
