( SERAPHINA )

𝐉𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝟏𝟔𝟗𝟑

✧・゚: *✧・゚:*"𝐖𝐄 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐄" asmodeus begged the girl as he latched onto her hand, the villagers hollers and screams could be heard approaching as they stood anxiously at the woods entrance.

"not without dorothy!" seraphina nearly all but cried to the man in front of her, time was shortening for them to make their escape and they both knew very well how being burnt at the stake was the worst way to go.

"we do not have time, they cannot hold the gates for much longer"  if they started running then there was still a chance they could return to babylon and never have to look upon the town of salem ever again. "we must go, serah" the crack in his voice showing his commitment in leaving.

with one final glance to the torching lights of fire she and asmodeus took off. they had been outed for their ties to the devil only an hour prior. dorothy had left them enough time to run, and with the encouragement from the blonde girl, asmodeus had convinced seraphina to run.

"we're not going to make it" the boy panted as he pushed through the pain, branches and birds scraping the two as they tried to find their way to the exit. the hollers from the witch hunters getting closer and closer.

seraphina knew this was all her fault, it was because of her that asmodeus had even come to the mortal realm. if she had not begged and convinced him how fun it was, he would be safe in hell. "you must go" she cried as she halted her steps.

"what?" the boys british accent breaking through as he stopped not being able to feel her presence besides him. "run" he yelled as he grabbed onto her arm trying to bring her with him.

"you must tell my mother what has happened, you must escape" she cried into the open, not giving him time to argue she pressed a kiss to his shoulder before pushing him forward "i'll see you in the next life, go!"

leaving her that day may have been asmodeus' biggest regret, but he would do what made the girl happiest till the day his soul perished.

frock torn, hair dishevelled and slashes exposed. tears stained her pale cheeks as the flames of the newly lit torch made their way nearer. the whole town had gathered for the burning, which was originally planned to be a hanging. but the hunters learnt after their first attempt there was no way to kill what they thought was a witch without sending them back to where they had come from. hell.

globules of sweat beaded her forehead as her nebulous eyes that reflected the heavens so much lost their final flicker of hope. her dorothy restrained in the arms of her father, her own screams drowned out by the rapid beating of her heart. her beautiful dorothy left to watch her lover burn.

the flames engulfed her body, as her disgruntled pleas of help started their echoing throughout the village of salem for another century. as she knew it was the price of being a witch, a woman, a fool in love. no matter where she went she knew she'd always be shunned. but as her soul departed back to the underworld she didn't find herself regretting that life.

she had been caught in an act of passion with the woman she loved, the woman who changed her. if only fools died for love, then she was the biggest fool of them all.

"𝐢'𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠" the girl smirked as she kept her pace, the two boys on her side sharing a look. stiles was intrigued in the girl after scott had told him how she had grown horns last night. the three were currently running track for cross country.

"your date was found dead in the woods last night" stiles pointed out suspiciously as he began breathing heavily through his mouth, the girls pace quickening which didn't seem to affect scott as it did stiles.

"he wasn't the only one who died" she pointed out like a smart ass as she tilted her head "scars like this don't heal as easily as bullet wounds, you know" she said matter a factly before her eyes focused on the tall blonde in front of her.

"you've been shot?" stiles asked slightly amazed forgetting that she was a literal soul sucking demon, scott scolding the boy but being ignored by stiles' amazement.

"i'm over 500 years old, if there's a way to die, trust me i've tried it" she was being honest there. she'd been hung, shot, stabbed, even tried slitting her wrists a few times. being immortal was not as fun as it seemed, it was lonely and dark. it reminded her of all the people she'd lost and all the lives she'd stolen.

seraphina's recent infatuation ahead of her picked up his pace and tackled twin wolf 1 to the ground, scott and stiles hot on his trail as the two rolled down a mini hill. twin wolf 2 following along quickly, seraphina wanting to involve herself as well following.

"ethan, i always forget - how many bones in the human body?" aidan asked as he began punching isaac, favours were not in for the blonde as scott tried to pull isaac away. the four growling like dogs at eachother before a scream in the distance caught their attention.

seraphina sent them glances before her legs took off in the direction of the sound, the body of a boy hung tied to the tree with his throat split open and his stomach mauled. a scene similar to the one of her ex companion from the night before.

"this towns murder central" she muttered to herself as stiles, scott and isaac all ended up by her side. the obvious calmness she had towards the situation making the boys spines crawl.

"it's him, isn't it?" stiles said from behind the girl, isaac turning to see scott and the boy staring closely at the body strung up the tree, dark red bruises around his neck as blood poured from the mark and his ears coating his body.

"hey, get out of the way!" sheriff stilinski's voice broke through the crowd as cop cars started showing up. "get back! get this area cordoned off before they trample every piece of evidence"

stiles had run out to get closer to his dad before trying to pull the man off towards the body probably to show his theory. seraphina watched as sheriff stilinski obviously pushed the boys idea down before turning to finstock "coach, can you give us a hand, here?"

"so you wolves don't do it the natural way i see" seraphina pointed out as her eyes glanced at the boys hands and lips, isaac gulping from the action, something seraphina did not miss.

"we didn't do this. did you see the way the twins looked at him?" isaac asked trying to ignore the girl, just as he'd been doing since that night in the woods.

"exactly how you're looking at him" seraphina giggled as she glanced between the two groups of boys, they were complete idiots for thinking a wolf could have done that. she knew what she had seen last night and it definitely was not a wolf. it was nothing like she'd seen in her whole life.

"no. no, they knew." isaac argued, stiles gave the boy a look before turning to seraphina. "let me look at your neck" the boy said, the girl rolling her eyes before tilting her head back. the way stiles held her neck, like she was a piece of china ready to break was foreign to her. she hadn't known a touch as gentle as his since dorothy.

"whatever killed me was not human, trust me" the girl said as stiles finished looking for whatever he was searching for. the boy looked conflicted for a second before asking what obviously was bugging him.

"are you a virgin?" he tried whispering, the mood between the three going awkward for the two males. seraphina raised an eyebrow before laughing "do i look like a virgin?" she asked gesturing to herself.

stiles couldn't tell if it were a trick question and he didn't necessarily want to get on a demons bad side "haven't been one since 1653" the girl said through an eye roll. the number shocking the boys for a split second before they covered it up.

"kyle was was strangled with a garrotte. not very werewolf-y of them, don't you think?" stiles asked making seraphina nod in agreement. the look in puppy's eyes showed he was going to do something stupid.

"oh, you think it's a coincidence they turn up and then people start dying? her as well" isaac argued with the boy, his hand shooting to seraphina as well. she was only responsible for one murder in their stupid little town and would not go down for ones she wished she could take credit for.

"i don't think it was them, or seraphina. she was attacked last night as well" stiles said as he looked isaac in the eyes trying to get through to the boy . seraphina's eyes finding the side of his head, amazed at how he defended the girl.

""how 'bout you?" isaac said ignoring the boys rants to turn to scott, the soon to be alpha avoiding his eyes not wanting to upset his friend.

"...i don't know yet" the puppy dog eyed boy sighed out

stiles looking at scott incredulously "you don't know yet?"

"well, he's got a point... seriously, dude? human sacrifices?" the idea wasn't absurd, seraphina had seen multiple cases, spoken to thousands of souls who had suffered by that fate, even ones who caused that fate.

"your eyes turn into yellow glow-sticks, okay? horns can break through her skull, she probably has wings! hair literally grows from your cheeks, then will immediately disappear your eyes glow fricking green. if I were to stab you right now, it would just magically heal, but you're telling me that you're having trouble grasping human sacrifices?" stiles pointed out as he continued pointing between scott, isaac and seraphina.

the reminder of her wings making her stomach twist. she had been able to convince herself they had never been there. it had been a good effort, she thought. the scars on her back serving as a constant reminder to the tragedy she had suffered all those years ago.

"i don't care. they killed that kid. they killed the girl that saved me. i'm gonna kill them, too" seraphina's blonde, blue eyed, freakishly tall puppy whispered harshly before storming off.

"𝐩𝐬𝐬𝐭, 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚" the annoying voice of a certain stiles stilinski reached the girl in front of him as he leaned out of his seat to converse with the girl. she didn't know if the wolves of beacon hills that she had met thought they were friends but she certainly wasn't going to let them. she had asmodeus and asmodeus was all she needed.

"what, biles?" she spat in mild disgust as she turnt her head enough to see the front of his face, harris' boring voice drowning out in the background of their conversation.

"i know you know its stiles, but i have a few questions" the lanky boy said, the constant tapping of his heel on the floor making seraphina's nails continue their tapping on the table. he seemed like the kind to have adhd.

"go ahead" she breathed out, eyes now focusing on the blonde a few seats away, scott sat behind him. isaac held a lot of anger for the world around him and seraphina was eager to find out what had hurt him so much he became so untrustworthy.

"where are you from?" stiles was treating this like a research paper and knew it was wrong in some sense, but when faced with a real life demon what else was he meant to do.

"i was born in eden but didn't even spend a full day there before being brought to babylon" she recounted the tale her mother told her when she was old enough to ask. lilith knew there was no place for her and her girl in eden after the betrayal so she returned home to lucifer, where they were treated like royalty.

"can you fly? like do you have-" the boy said before throwing his arms out into what seraphina guessed were meant to be wings. he was probably thinking of big black angel wings though. the kind fallen angels had. but she knew better.

"i used to" she said simply, her interest in the conversation obviously gone. stiles didn't know what he had said to make her become so stoic but he didn't pressure her, it wasn't obvious from her face but her eyes held a lot of pain.

"mr. harris, can I use the bathroom. please?" isaac's voice cut her attention away from the lanky boy behind her, the teacher nodding as he rushed out the room. her hand and scotts shooting to the air at the same time.

"can i go to the bathroom?" they asked at the same time, both knowing what the other wanted. seraphina wanted isaac and scott wanted to stop isaac. harris gave the two a look before rolling his eyes.

"one at a time" he said gesturing to isaac's empty seat, seraphina wanted to scoff but didn't bother as she collected her bag and stood from her seat. "ms. bourne!" the spectacled eyed man yelled as she rushed out of the room.

seraphina's legs carried her round the corner of the classroom to see isaac stood still in front of a scene which confused her. she couldn't tell who was who but the one of the twins was beating the other to a pulp. her hand found isaac's without thinking trying to pull the boy back. the contact making him jump slightly.

it was like the scene in front of him trapped him in his spot, his eyes couldn't break from the two as his hand went to close itself over seraphina's. she doubted the boy could even tell what was going on. she could tell what the twins were planning, but it was too late.

the school bell rang and classrooms started emptying, harris running from his room after ethan let out a yell. it was not looking good for the two of them, "wat is this? what's going on?" the mans voice breaking isaac out of whatever trance he was in.

danny ran over to ethan's beaten body "you all right?" aiden no where in sight. isaac looked across the hall making eye contact with scott and stiles, both boys giving him a 'what the hell' look.

seraphina's hand squeezing his arm making him realise the grip he had on her had tightened when harris turned his attention to him "isaac, what the hell did you do?" the blonde boy gulping realising he was royally fucked.

"𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐠𝐠𝐲" seraphina tutted as she trailed her nails up the chest of the boy in front of her, aidan only smirked as he leaned down so his face was aligned with her own. she didn't mind serving a detention with isaac but it didn't kill the small annoyance she felt towards the twins.

"have you thought about my offer?" the boy asked as he trapped her in between his arms against the locker. she couldn't deny the obvious attraction she felt towards aidan, but deep down she knew it didn't overrule the one she had to isaac. the only difference was isaac didn't seem to want anything to do with her.

"we both know this would end, very, very badly" she whispered as she stretched to reach his ears, the boys hand finding her waist to keep her still. "maybe another time. although, there's a certain redhead i think you're more suited for" she said turning her head to wink at lydia who watched from across the hall.

"your loss" the boy shrugged as he sent her one more smile and turnt to find the strawberry blonde bombshell.

"now they're getting to you" isaac said satisfied from his spot besides scott, the boy watching aidan move from seraphina to lydia. seraphina turning to her locker like nothing had just happened and going on with her day.

"it's not just me" scott pointed out as he nodded towards the grip isaac had on his backpack, his veins becoming even more visible as if he was trying to choke the life out of something.

"there's something up with her" isaac forced out as he let go off his bag and took off down the other end of the hall, to his lunchtime detention.

"𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥" harris said handing a bucket to the girl seraphina learned was named allison. the hunters daughter and scotts ex. a wolf and a wolf hunter, surprising but not completely shocking.

"re-shelving the library and restocking the janitors closet" the teacher then said turning to seraphina and isaac who stood by allison's side. seraphina only rolled her eyes and isaac leant in.

"oh, mr harris? does it have to be with her?" the boy tried whispering, seraphina letting out an offended fake laugh considering she hadn't actually done anything to the boy. crossing her arms and turning away from the boy she contemplated controlling harris to just let her leave but didn't want the hunters spawn knowing about her.

"now that I know you'd prefer not to... yes, you have to be with her." harris said smirking pushing his chair out and leaving, and any chance of seraphina escaping her punishment leaving with him.

"great" the two sighed at the same time as seraphina began her way out of the classroom, isaac going to follow reluctantly but allison's hand on his arm stopping him. he shrugged the girl who had shot arrows into his back off with a scowl.

she threw her hands up in defense before looking him in the eye and lowering her voice "who is she?" she asked remembering the scars and how she said she'd gotten them. at first she'd assumed she was a wolf but had begun to doubt herself after watching her closer that day.

"we don't know and trust me when i say we should keep it that way" he scoffed storming after the girl.

"𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧" she scoffed as the boy entered the closet, she'd already begun to sort through the junk on the first shelf. when she didn't receive a reply she just decided to leave the boy to his own devices.

"don't you have magic? can't you do this on your own?" the boy asked as he tried concentrating on the wall in front of him, his breathing becoming ragged and uneven. he tried to the best of abilities to avoid her after last night but it seemed fate had other ideas.

"i'm a demon not a witch, i don't have magic powers." she rolled her eyes, standing up hearing the boys breathing continue to shake "what's wrong with you?" she asked placing a hand on his shoulder to turn him around.

"not a fan of small spaces" he coughed out, his eyes flickering from amber to blue. he wouldn't let himself lash out around her, not scared he'd hurt himself but instead scared he'd hurt the devil.

"you should see me around water" she chuckled awkwardly trying to break the tension in the room. she wasn't lying, she'd been drowned in the river styx as well as water. it was one thing which scared her just as much as her father.

it seemed to work as isaac let out a small laugh, the peace interrupted as the door to the closet shut and a loud bang was heard from the outside. he rushed forward and began pushing forward. "maybe it's locked from the outside" seraphina suggested as she tried helping.

"no there's something in front of it" isaac dismissed as he continued pushing, his body language and his breathing showing seraphina this was something more than a fear. like he'd been trapped his whole life and he didn't want to go back.

"come on!" the boy yelled as he continued to try and push the door open, seraphina's eyes scrunched as she took a step back. her body was weak after her death last night and she knew if isaac lashed out and clawed her throat she wouldn't be waking up for a long time.

"you need to calm down puppy" she tried as she reached out to try and pull him back, the boy continued yelling as his ears grew. he knew he wasn't able to control himself, memories of his father and the freezer flooding back quicker than he could control.

"isaac! calm down" seraphina tried as she went to reach for both of his arms, the boy spinning and pushing her back against the wall. seraphina hadn't seen a wolf in a long time, and seeing isaac transformed had her frozen.

the princess of hell, daughter of lucifer and lilith had only ever been scared once in her life. she had seen hellhounds, succubus, moloch for lucifers sake! but once faced with the unknown, she was struck with fear.

he reached for her arms, nails digging into her skin as he pinned her to the wall. her eyes watered as she shut them trying to turn away from the boys face, a growl leaving his throat. "isaac!" she yelled.

"come on!" the boy growled dragging his claws down her arm breaking the skin which had already been scarred. a small scream left her throat before she felt the boys body being thrown off her own. her eyes stayed shut as she slid down the wall and pushed herself back.

all the memories she had tried to block out came rushing forwards, every single flash from that day they robbed her of her birth right. the things that kept her connected to her celestial side were taken without a second thought. they held her down by her shoulders and cut them wings off, tore them away from her. she had just turned fifteen in mortal years and had already suffered a tragedy worse than others.

no one had done anything to stop it, all of those holy angels stood by as they stripped her of her wings. she remembered how hot the tecpatl felt against her skin, how they did it slowly so they could enjoy her screams. she remembered how the blood poured round her feet as she lay to soak in it, the sound the tecpatl made as it was thrown like it meant nothing. as if it hadn't just taken away the one thing she treasured most.

"isaac!" the loud yell of scott broke both seraphina and isaac from their trances, both heads shooting towards the boy. seraphina saw it, the way his eyes shone the red similar to derek's for only a split second.

the girl pushed herself to her feet as she cradled her arm closer to her chest, the claw marks not healing as quick due to her mixed emotions. isaac turnt to her with the most apologetic eyes she'd ever seen in her 400 years of life. "i'm sorry, i didn't-i didn't mean to do that..." the boy said trying to take a step forward.

she didn't mean to but her instinct kicked in as she took a step back "it's fine" she reassured from her spot "i have to go" she got out through a hiccup as her eyes began watering again.

"seraphina" scott tried as he tried advancing towards her, the girl only backed up before taking off down the corridor. the boy shared a look with a grief stricken isaac as they watched her disappear.
