NO ONE P.O.V

"Queen Rose, it's an honor to be in your presence in this peaceful kingdom of yours," Jungkook said with a wide smile as he approach Rose who did the same. Rose smiled "It's a pleasure meeting you as well, Trueblood Jeon." She says as she smiled at him. "Why did you come for such short notice? I could prepare a feast for you."

She says with a friendly tone but Jungkook just smiles apologetically "My apology for the trouble, your majesty but there is some important that we have to discuss and we can't delay it for too long." Rose chuckled "Okay then, I guess, would you like to have some tea with me?" She asks and Jungkook smiles at her "If you insist."

"Sure, why not?"

Jungkook sips on the tea as the maids bow and leave after being dismissed by Rose, they want some privacy "How're your parents, Rose?" Jungkook asks causing Rose to smirk "Where is the 'your majesty' huh?" She teased as Jungkook huffed.

"I'm your best friend, the only reason why I call you 'your majesty' is because we are surrounded by your people, I believe you don't want them to think so low of you don't you?" He says teasingly making Rose laugh "Yeah, sure, whatever makes you happy, big guy."

She replies as Jungkook chuckles a little, soon their chuckle fades down as Jungkook speaks up once again "Seriously, Rosie, how're your parents?" He asked "They're fine as usual, much better I could say. With me running the kingdom, they had all the time for themselves."

Jungkook nodded at the answer "Lucky them." He mumbles as Rose asks a question next "Now tell me, what is it that is so urgent that you can't wait to see me?" She asked as she take one of the cakes and eat it. "Oh yes, about that..."

"I'm getting married."

Rose choke on the cake and coughed instantly as soon as he said that. Seeing her coughing like that, Jungkook instantly went to her and pat her back "Calm down, girl." He says as he pours her a cup of tea and passes it towards her. Rose cough a little as she accept the tea and thank him for a little before quickly drinking it.

"Wait, the tea is hot-" Before he could even warn her, she already drank the tea recklessly only resulting in her spitting out the tea and coughing harder soon after, the cup fell and shatter to the ground as she keep coughing. Her lips are burning and she keeps coughing as she shut her eyes close and blushes as Jungkook tries to help her.

Aish, it's so embarrassing.

"Thank you so much for your help," Jungkook says as he smiled apologetically at the maids who just bow and smile shyly as they excuse themselves soon after. After those maids left, Jungkook turns towards Rose that is standing on the balcony while hugging herself.

Jungkook pursed his lips as he fix his hanbok and decided to approach her. When Rose notices his presence she looks away and refuses to look at him as her face turns red upon remembering what happened. To be honest, it's not that she was against the marriage.

It was the right thing to do and she was just a nobody who have no right to go against it. She was just his best friend and his ally but the news was just too sudden that she just lost the composure of herself. She must have looked so weird just now, he probably thinks of her like that.

"I know, Rose."

Rose snap her head towards him instantly as he look at the view in front of him, the sun was setting before them as the soft breeze hit them causing their long hair to fly a little. "W-what do you mean?" She asked as Jungkook glanced at her "Your feelings... I know about it" He repeats.

Rose breath hitch, he knows? but she never confesses. "H-how? Since when?" She doesn't even deny it. Jungkook smiled at her since "Since the beginning. It was obvious but I choose to act oblivious." He admits as Rose looks down sadly. Jungkook sighed once as he turn back towards the view.

"I can't accept the feeling, let alone return it but I really do appreciate our friendship. I don't want to ruin it and I don't want to hurt your feelings." He says as Rose just keeps silent "I thought, maybe you'll move on after some time or maybe after I found my mate, you move on." He says but a chuckle left Rose's lips.

"I thought the same actually, now that you had found your mate, I thought, I could be happy for you and move on but I guess, it was harder than expected, the feelings won't just go away and I felt guilty feeling that way for someone who was not meant to be mine." She laughs pathetically towards herself.

"But that's what makes you human, you know?"

Rose glanced at Jungkook who just smile softly "falling in love and feeling it wasn't wrong. We can never avoid falling for someone, the only difference is how hard did you fall for them. If you were meant together the real love will bloom between you and you will fight for it for sure" He says.

"Some things are just never meant to be, no matter how much we wish they were. You might not find your true love in this lifetime but I believe you'll meet them in your next one." He continue "I'm sorry Rose, I can't return your feelings but trust me, I still wanted to be friends and I hope, you'll be happy for me."

"As my friend..."

Rose keep silent as he said that as she suddenly chuckle soon after and a tear suddenly left her left eye and slid down to her cheek. Jungkook just watch her worriedly. Her chuckle slowly died down as she wipe her tear and take a deep breath "This is the first time I got rejected."

She says as she let out a breath "And to be honest... It doesn't feel that bad, I felt rather pleased and calm actually as if some kind of burden had been lifted from my shoulder." She says as she crosses her arm "All these years, I was left in the air with the hopes that my love will be returned."

"Yet I don't even dare to confess, because I was scared but foolishly, I still hoped that something could bloom between us. Until you met your mate, my hope shattered to piece but I don't blame the blue moon omega though, I blame myself for hoping too much when I know it wasn't possible."

"Yet I never knew that I need this rejection. It gives me closure for myself after getting an answer from yourself. I felt like, I had let go of those feelings not because I had to but it's because I wanted to." She smiles sadly at herself as she glances at Jungkook who is already looking at her.

"I'll surely find, that one person who is meant to be mine, whether it was in this life or another one." She says as she looks at him in the eyes with determination making Jungkook smile "Of course, you'll surely will and promise me, till you meet them you'll live your life to the fullest and be happy." Rose smiles happily at the Trueblood as she nods.

"I promise."

I really felt like Rose deserve her own closure tho, falling in love wasn't wrong but sometimes it was not meant to be for them.
