NO ONE P.O.V

It's almost dark when Jungkook reaches home that day. He saw Maria in the garden while doing some gardening so he greets her "Mother Maria! I'm home!" Maria lift her gaze upon hearing him calling out for her. A smile bloomed on her face "Jungkook, how's your day?" Maria asks as Jungkook just shrug.

"Nothing new, father keeps talking about the Alphian camp and how should I make a good relationship with them since all of them are the future head Alpha like me," Jungkook says as Maria nods. There is a few moments of silence until Jungkook speaks up "uh... Does Jennie knows about the Alphian-" before Jungkook could finish, Maria nodded.

"Yeah, she knows and she have a frown on her face since morning." She says making Jungkook sigh. Maria chuckles upon seeing that reaction from the boy "she'll surely understand Jungkook. It just she has never been so far away with you before." Maria says as Jungkook nod at her "I'll talk to her" he says and turn to enter the house.

When he entered the house, the entire place was silent. Seokjin hyung is probably still on duty and since Maria is still in the garden that means Jennie is the only one who is in the house. Jungkook glances around, his little sister is not in the living room nor in the kitchen. So she's probably upstairs.

When Jungkook went upstairs his gaze lend on Jennie's study room first. Jungkook could hear the movements in it so he knew instantly that his Lil sister are in there. Standing in front of the door he speaks up "Jennie-ah, I'm home." But he doesn't receive any response from her. "Are you in this room?" He asked but still no response.

Jungkook slowly opens the door and peek inside the room. Jennie was there, studying on the table which mean she heard him but decided to ignore him. Jungkook bit his bottom lips as he lean on the door frame and cross his arm "Are you ignoring me?" Jennie still ignores him making him huff and approach her.

Jennie was focused on reading a book when Jungkook approach her. He sat down beside her and stare at his little sister that are still ignoring his existence "ignoring your big brother is rude." He says as Jennie finally answers him while her eyes are still stuck on the book.

"What do you want?"

"What are you doing?"

"Reading. can't you see?"

"That's why I'm asking what are you reading since the book is upside down."

Jennie pauses upon hearing that, she slowly realizes that the book she is holding is upside down. She silently put down the book and clear her throat. Jungkook watches her action with a grin on his face. Literally thinking of many ways to tease her "You're not just a bad liar but you're also very bad at pretending." Jungkook burst into laughter when she gives him a sharp glare.

A scowl formed on the omega's face as she look away while crossing her arm. Knowing that the younger are sulking Jungkook let out a small sigh "Are you mad that I'm leaving or are you mad that I didn't tell you myself that I'm leaving?" He asked softly as he try to search for her eyes but she look everywhere but him.

"I'm sorry, dear. I don't know how to tell you myself. I don't have the heart to do it." He says with a sad smile. After a few moments of silence, Jennie sighed "Do you really have to leave? I'm not used to being alone." She says as she looks down sadly. "Why would you be lonely? Mother Maria and Seokjin hyung are here." Jungkook says as he tilts his head.

Jennie didn't say anything but Jungkook understood what she is saying. She's lonely when he wasn't by her side but maybe this is a great chance to let her live without him. At the end of the day, Jennie is still her own person. She'll grow up and find her mate one day. When that day comes, he knows that they couldn't be together anymore.

His responsibility ends.

Thinking about that day makes him sad. He wishes his baby sister won't grow up but he knows that won't happen. He brings up his palm and caresses her hair softly before pulling her into his embrace. Jennie lays her head on his chest as she slowly speaks up "Oppa..." Jungkook hummed at her in response.

"Can you sing Mom's lullaby for me?"

Hearing the 7-year old's request, Jungkook smiled at her as he nod once. He caresses her hair as a soft melody starts leaving his lips. Listening to his voice, Jennie felt at peace as a soft breath left her lips. Right... He sings the lullaby for me, when I open my eyes he would surely sing it again for me. With that being told to herself, Jennie flutter her eyes close and fell asleep on his chest.

The next day, Jungkook leave for the camp before the sun even rose, Jennie was there to send him off alongside Mother Maria and Seokjin. Wishing him a safe journey and return, Jungkook leave for the Alphian camp with his horse with his father's men. They arrive at the camp when the sun is already up.

Much young Alpha around his age are there, all of them are the future heir for their own pack. They all are waiting at the field, probably waiting for the chief warden. Some would sit alone and some would talk to each other. Jungkook being himself sits alone at the very corner where people won't even realize his existence.

His father's men are long gone, to where? He doesn't care. They probably had returned to the pack or maybe lurk in the forest to watch over him. He was pulled out from his thought when a group of kids around his age approach him "You're the Alpha King's son right? The only true-blood?" Jungkook almost grumble when he heard that.

I've been hiding at the corner and people still approach me? Fuck it...

Knowing that he has to be nice he lifts his gaze and smiles before nodding. Silently judging the Alpha in front of him. Jungkook figures that the person in front of him might be older. Maybe around Jimin's age so with the smile still on his face, he asks "You are?" The boy grinned when Jungkook ask that. "I'm Kim Taehyung, the future Alpha of the blue moon pack, the richest pack in the realm."

Arrogant

That's the first thing that comes to Jungkook when this Kim Taehyung introduces himself. Still smiling Jungkook says "Nice to meet you, I'm Jeon Jungkook, the future Alpha of the Black Rose pack, hope we would have a good friendship." He says as Taehyung chuckle "Actually, I'm not here to make friends with you but to give you a notice before the event start."

Jungkook raises his left eyebrow at the change of tone but he keeps silent "Well, you see, I've come here every year since I was 12 and I'm the Ace Alpha every time." He says as he took a step towards Jungkook but he didn't back off as he look at the older in the eyes "I don't want you to face a tough competition and I don't want you to embarrass yourself." He says as he places his palm on Jungkook's shoulder.

"So stay low okay? it's for your own good." With that being said, he pats Jungkook's shoulder twice before leaving with his friends. When they left, a sigh left Jungkook's lips as he cross his arm over his chest.

It was obvious that Taehyung said that because Jungkook has the potential- No- Jungkook can beat him but he won't say that out loud, His huge pride won't allow him. Jungkook huff to himself as he shakes his head and sighs once again.

Great... The camp hasn't even started and I've made myself an enemy...

I think this book will have at least 60 to 70 chapters... Literally, the longest I have ever written. Yeah, Taehyung is a jerk.
