"You don't even have a mate, Lalisa!"

The silence was too loud soon after, as Lisa stood there, frozen by his father's words. Her father never raises his voice to her, never. Yet his voice sounded desperate so Lisa glanced at her mother.

She covered her face with her palm as she let out a soft sob. "What are you talking about?" She slowly whispers out as those words keep repeating in her head. Her father takes a deep breath as he pushes his hair to the back.

"Father, answer me!" She could hear her voice breaking as her wolf whimps at the thought of not having a mate. Her father's shoulder slumps down in defeat "I'm sorry, dear. We keep secrets from you but..."

"that's the truth."

Lisa could hear her heart shatter to the ground as she tried to take in those words. A tear slid down her cheek unconsciously and her mother engulfed her into a hug instantly as she whispered. "I'm sorry dear."

"How... How is it even possible?" Her voice is shaking as she cries on her mother's shoulder silently. Her father turns to her as he takes a deep breath "Lisa, the legend about the Demon Alpha."

"Is real."

In ancient times, when mankind came down from the trees, they learned to use fire and began making sharp blades. Invented wheels started paving trails, and finally learned to plant seeds and settle in one place.

But they did not have a nation or a king. Mortals didn't have dreams and had not yet reached the top of the Great Pyramid of Nature. The glorious land of our ancient mothers, this place, Ustea.

A peaceful land of mortals where every kind of creature lived peacefully in one world but it didn't last long when humans started to wish for a king. They become ambitious due to those ambitions.

Greed was born.

They all wanted to be king. A ruler. A god. They start to create swords, bows, and weapons. War broke. Ustea fell. Mortals start killing others, worse, they even kill their own families.

Everyone was at each other's throats as they fought to be at the top of the Great Pyramid of Nature. Until one day, they make a big mistake. They provoke something that they shouldn't and darkness falls. That is when...

The Demon Alpha was awakened.

Disaster fell upon Ustea and much innocent life was taken away by the Demon Alpha. The Demon Alpha is going on a rampage and no one can stop him, even the strongest warrior died in his hand.

He sucks out soul after soul. No one can hide from him and mortals are dying. Soon, they found out that the Demon Alpha is going after the Heart of Ustea to suck out all the life in it.

For the first time after thousands of wars, they came together to stop the Demon Alpha but it was already too late. The Demon Alpha reaches the Heart of Ustea and engulfs it with his darkness.

Ustea was torn apart and mortals could do nothing but watch everything die. When people think that it is the end of their fate, a miracle happens. The blue moon omega came forward and went on her knee as she prayed to the gods.

"Help us."

That prayer was heard by the gods immediately and they sent 4 Imperial souls down to Ustea and fought the Demon Alpha. The battle was almost impossible but in the end, the 4 Imperial Souls succeeded in defeating the Demon Alpha with the help of the blue moon omega.

They pull out half of the Demon Alpha's power and lock it inside the Heart of Ustea. The Demon Alpha was sealed by the 4 Imperial souls but before he was sealed, he glared down at the blue moon Omega and cursed the mortal.

"I curse the blue moon omega and the entire mortals. The land of Ustea will never be the same."

His voice roars through the entire realm as the Heart of Ustea starts shaking. The blue Moon omega was grabbed using the little bit of power that he had as the heart of Ustea entered the Blue Moon omega's soul.

"My power will never leave the heart of Ustea and it will never leave the blue moon omega unless she is held as a sacrifice. Whoever manages to get the heart of Ustea will also possess my power and be the king of mortals."

When he said that, the blue moon omega's face turned pale as a sinister grin appeared on his face and he added.

"But, if no one succeeds in getting the Heart of Ustea till the blue moon omega dies. The omega shall be reborn and when she turned 18..."

He glared at the 4 Imperial souls.

"This seal will be broken and I'll come back for my power."

As soon as those words left his lips, he was sealed away and the darkness disappeared but the curse? It remains. The mortals had used various ways to break the curse but it was useless.

If Ustea didn't get back its heart in the blue moon omega's soul. The magic in it will slowly die. If they sacrifice the blue moon omega to pull out the heart of Ustea. The Demon Wolf's power will break free and it will create disaster again. The curse is invincible.

Not even a god could break it.

In the future, The Demon Wolf will be awakened once again so the gods decide that the 4 Imperial souls will be reborn alongside the blue moon omega. The mortals need to prepare with every possibility.

The Demon Wolf will never die. The long sleep that he was put into will end and when that time comes, mortals will once again fight for their life. After many years, the next blue moon omega was born.

And that person...

"It's you Lalisa."

Her father admits. "You were born under the light of the blue moon and that is when everybody knew what awaited us in the future." He continues as he turns to his daughter.

Lisa just looked down on her lap, trying to process those words. "The heart of Ustea is inside of your soul and the same goes for the Demon Alpha's power." This time, her mother is the one to speak up as she takes Lisa's hand into hers.

"The heart of Ustea blesses you with immense beauty. It was nothing compared to anything in the realm. But the Demon Alpha's power curses your fate to be a lone wolf. With no mate, and no partner." She adds sadly.

Lisa felt her eyes getting teary again when her mother mentioned that. "Ustea is losing its magic, and the Demon Alpha will be awakened soon. Ever since you were born we had been thinking various ways to overcome the curse." Her father speaks up.

"The 4 Imperial souls weren't found and we don't even know if they are aware of it. So this is the only way." Lisa lifted her gaze to her father "Someone has to be the king of mortals."

He paused and took a deep breath before continuing "Someone has to possess the Demon Alpha's power and become the king of mortals. This is the only chance. If we are right..."

"The only way to kill the Demon Alpha is by using his power."
