Chapter 31
Pulchra Verba
Beautiful Words
Jungkook was so comfortable, it was lovely. He was in the dark closet curled up on a ball on the floor, surrounded by several button-up shirts and suit jackets that had the most of Taehyung's beautiful scent. And clutching tight to his chest and right over his nose was the suit jacket Taehyung had worn the day before.
The scent had helped him calm down completely from his fear, it had reminded him that he wasn't alone, that he was loved.
Love was stronger than fear, it always was.
After some time that seemed somewhat long in his hiding corner, Jungkook heard keys opening the bathroom door, and his eyes went wide open. Then he heard those same keys on the closet's doorknob, but then they stopped. Slowly, Jungkook sat up.
- Love? - Taehyung's careful voice called from the other side and then a soft knocking was heard.
Jungkook smiled with endearment, Taehyung could have opened the door but he was giving the choice to him if he wanted to.
- You can open it. - Jungkook answered while still clutching the jacket tight to him and seating crisscrossed on the corner beside the door. Taehyung opened it slowly and light poured in from the bathroom, making Jungkook squint his eyes, then the light of the closet was turned on, and, as Jungkook blinked trying to see, he heard Taehyung crouching down in front of him.
- How are you? - He asked as softly as his hand brushed his hair. Jungkook finally could open his eyes and the sight of Taehyung right there in front of him brought a lump to his throat. He clutched the jacket harder to his chest.
- Better. -
Taehyung looked down at the jacket and then around them at the clothes, and Jungkook saw an unstoppable tentative smile tug at the corners of his mouth.
He left the jacket aside to leap forwards and hugged Taehyung tight around his neck, hiding his face there and smiling at the realization that those clothes didn't make any justice to Taehyung's true scent. It was even better.
Taehyung hugged him tight around the middle and stood up, lifting Jungkook effortlessly with him.
- Let's go then, you haven't finished with your crackers. - Jungkook chuckled, the lump in his throat an involuntary reaction to the happiness that Taehyung gave him. And once again, in one swift movement, Taehyung's hands grabbed the back of his thighs and lifted him, holding him completely off the ground. Jungkook chuckled again and, to help, crossed his ankles around him so Taehyung would only need to hug him around his waist.
Taehyung walked as if he wasn't carrying a whole nother person, and it felt good. He felt safe in his secure hold. This was the first time Jungkook could remember that he was carried like this.
On their way out of the closet and the bathroom, Taehyung turned off the lights and then went straight to where they were before: on the kitchen counter beside Jungkook's bag. Carefully, he placed Jungkook there but didn't let go. It could also be because Jungkook was tight around him, but Taehyung never felt tense or uncomfortable. He started to rub his hand up and down his back with one hand and brush his hair with the other, turning his head to the side so his lips were touching Jungkook's ear.
Jungkook loved him so much, and even if it was a lot more love than he ever thought himself capable of, this was the only massive feeling that wasn't badly overwhelming. It felt good to love him.
- How are you? - Taehyung asked again, his voice calm and soft, his hold loving. Jungkook sighed.
- Way better. -
Taehyung chuckled silently.
- Ok. - Then, so softly he could've missed it, Taehyung tugged at his waist and the back of his neck, and so Jungkook leaned back a little to look at him. Taehyung was conflicted, it was there in his eyes, but then he said. - Would you like coffee or tea? - And gave him a tiny smile. Jungkook had an idea of why he would be conflicted but chose to wait before asking about it.
- Coffee. - Jungkook answered. Taehyung nodded but waited until Jungkook was the one who let him go, and after one soft kiss on the cheek, he let him.
While Taehyung went back to the desk beside the bedroom with a smile on his face, Jungkook was left thinking. But he couldn't think of anything. It could be that he didn't necessarily have anything important to think about or his lack of food was making him numb.
He looked beside him and grabbed the open bag of crackers he had left there. He took one and started to eat it when his bag grabbed his attention.
At first, it was because his phone was over it, but then, he ignored it and reached inside for his sketchbook. He finished the cracker and took another one while he placed the sketchbook on his lap, and, at that moment, Taehyung came back and started to make some coffee.
- How do you like it? -
Jungkook swallowed to answer.
- Americano. -
Taehyung turned around with a surprised smile.
- Me too. - They both chuckled and he turned around again to continue. And Jungkook was left nibbling on the last cracker while his eyes trailed Taehyung's back, the back of his head, the shoulders, the muscles, the length, the curve at the end of his back...
His fingers were itching to paint and paint and paint, to draw with graphite and blur with cotton all the harsh lines so the drawing would be nothing but soft puffs of smoke undulated into a figure, into curves of muscles that all the while portrayed the softness of the skin and touch with soft lines, only drawing where there would be shadow.
To draw him naked on the bed, the light of the windows shining on his skin, his head looking away, his body partially and only slightly covered with white sheets. A Greek God at the mercy of his pencil...
- I was wondering, - Taehyung spoke and Jungkook nearly choked on the last piece of his cracker. He swallowed and looked down at his hand clutching the sketchbook, his legs had unknowingly pressed together at some point. - What would you say about going shopping tomorrow in the city? - Taehyung left the coffee maker to do its job and turned around to find a flustered Jungkook who cleared his throat before trying to speak nonchalantly.
- Tomorrow... in the city... shopping... - He thought out loud trying to clear his head of that little fantasy. - Technically I don't have to ask for permission, do I? - He looked up at Taehyung with a frown and he returned it as he thought about it.
- Technically, you don't. You're a twenty-one-year-old university student. But... -
Jungkook nodded.
- But. - He looked down and thought about it. - Let's see. The last thing they know... The last thing Leo saw was how I felt better in here. I was the one who opened the door without you so that would give the message that at any given moment I could've just walked out but I chose to stay. Emily will know what he tells her. I'm glad she didn't come here with him, she would've never left if she saw me run off. - He crossed his arms over his chest and his index finger traced the cut on his lip as he thought. - The last thing they know about this would be that you're trying to help me and that I'm actually listening to you. Maybe they could even think I'm seeing this place as like a safe place if I chose to stay here over going to my friends-- Exactly what you said, "get his trust to be his friend and try to teach him better that way". -
- We could say... - He continued. - We could say that... You. - He looked up at Taehyung, he was frozen just looking and hearing. - You have a meeting this afternoon with my father, you could tell him you have an idea, "there's too much in here and he's on edge most of the time so I thought it would be better to take him out so we could talk without the weight of the institution in the air." And you could also say how you were planning on going to buy things for your apartment anyway so it doesn't look like you're trying too hard. What do you think? It could also help with the whole Mr. Kim trying to befriend the Headmaster thing. - Taehyung was left flabbergasted, and after some time of silence, Jungkook chuckled. - What is it? -
Taehyung reacted then.
- "What is it"? Do you have any idea just... You just... In just a moment you just... Really. - Jungkook chuckled at Taehyung's splutter and saw how he grinned as well. - You connected everything so seamlessly and continued the threat of the story. What a talent that is. Do you know what I was thinking? Nothing. You came up with all of that in less than a second and I still have nothing, no new idea, I'm blank. - They both laughed and Taehyung neared him. In instinct, Jungkook opened his legs so he could get even nearer and Taehyung held his cheeks. - You're our brain, don't you think? - Jungkook chuckled and then closed his eyes to accept the little kiss on the lips Taehyung gave him.
- I'm the brain, you're the heart? -
Taehyung smiled sweetly and then traced his nails to the nape of his neck, making Jungkook close his eyes momentarily as a wave of tingles flowed through him.
- "My feet won't touch the ground even if I tried, while his are attached to it and he takes it in his stride, I used to think that was a bad thing, but never realized it was a dire thing, to keep your feet on the ground, and to keep walking around" You keep me grounded, my Love. -
Jungkook lifted one hand and held his cheek while the other went to the back of his head. With an adoring smile on his face, he traced Taehyung's bottom lip and looked him in the eyes as his heart pounded beautifully in his chest.
- And you make me feel like I'm flying. -
Taehyung's smile got unbearably sweet.
- I want to freeze this moment. - He said, his voice was like a dream, and Jungkook sighed.
- Me too. Or live in it forever. But realistically speaking--
- Don't continue if it's something sad. - Taehyung got immediately protective, his features hardening.
Jungkook chuckled, surprised.
- I was going to say that realistically speaking it would be better to wish for more moments like this, you know, because no one can freeze time and stuff. -
Taehyung breathed out a laugh then, sounding relieved.
- Sorry, you scared me for a second there. Yes, I guess I will be wishing for more times like this then. Be a little more realistic, but still optimistic. - He gave a little smile and averted his eyes, and that caught Jungkook's attention.
- What is it? - He asked, softly.
Taehyung frowned when he looked up at him.
- I hate sadness. - That was so upfront and honest that it was like a breeze of frozen air. Taehyung had never really talked about hate before with as much fervor as he had in his eyes right now. - Here's a little sad story so you can understand better why I prefer dreaming. I came to this job with the hopeful optimistic idea of making friends, because in the university I was before, every teacher talked bad behind my back and it was all because of that woman, you remember that I told you? The wife of my colleague that tried something with me? Well, I was prepared to never talk about it when, next thing I know, my colleague storms into my office and screams for everyone to hear that I had harassed his wife, all the while that woman was faking her tears on the back, and the moment I said it was all false all the females there looked at me with so much disbelieve that even the men couldn't believe me. -
- Also, I hate sadness because of how hard it was to remain happy for long periods. Before, I would cry once a month and it was because of a heartfelt moment with my family or friends, rarely it was because of sadness, but after, it has been a constant rain cloud just like the weather here. I just couldn't be happy with my life. So yes, I don't like thinking of pessimistic possibilities with you even if they are realistic or even logical to happen, I don't like it. -
Jungkook realized then.
- You don't like being reminded of your current life when you're with me. - He guessed in a murmur and Taehyung nodded, a hand going around Jungkook's waist while the other held the side of his neck.
- I really, really, don't like it, because it is bad, because it's sad and stressful and... - His frown deepened. - I was forced to live a grown-ups life that I never wanted to have since I was eighteen, I never really got the chance to live my own life, at first it was for my family, now it is for my kids, and it feels really egotistical to say this but it really started to take a toll on me not being able to do anything I wanted to do just for the pleasure of it, so now that I got you I'm just clutching with all I can. - His hands held him tighter and closer. - That's why I always say you're everything I wanted and more because you really are. You are way more than I could've dreamed, and just as you said once, I can't let this happiness go. -
Jungkook's heart melted, but he looked at him with concern as he held his pained face with gentle hands.
- You have grieved much more than you let me see, Tae. - Taehyung closed his eyes and tilted his head to the touch. - You've let me go on and on about my life, I want to hear yours. - But when Taehyung opened his eyes they were apologetic.
- I don't really want to. At least not today, this little story has drained me enough. - Jungkook could completely understand that, and so he nodded and smoothed his expression, focusing only on caressing Taehyung's face.
- We'll have to make a list of things to talk about "later". - Jungkook chuckled, not entirely amused. - Your life most of all, I want to hear all about it. -
- What about yours? - Taehyung murmured, seeming soothed by the caressing. Jungkook looked confusedly at him. - I want to hear all about it as well. - Jungkook let out another chuckle.
- You know most of it already. -
- Do I? - Jungkook's hand stopped in Taehyung's cheek and any trace of a smile was gone. - Please don't take me wrong, - Taehyung went on, still with a calm voice. - I'm not being skeptical or rude, I'm not expecting to know everything in just one seating, I'm just leaving the subject open because I really don't think I know about your life as much as you think I do, and there's nothing wrong with that, but I just want to make sure you're not planning on skipping something serious about your past just like I'm not planning to. -
Jungkook breathed more easily after that explanation, but his hands were still unmoving.
- Were you perhaps expecting me to do so even after we agreed on telling the other the essentials? - Taehyung's hand around his waist rubbed up and down his back soothingly while he shook his head.
- Again, I was not being skeptical or rude, just making sure we were both reassured that neither planned to do it. A reassurance or reminder never goes amiss, don't you think? -
Jungkook could clearly see he was keeping something to himself while he told him how he didn't like it when things are being kept from each other. He lowered his hands to either side of himself and when Taehyung saw this, his calm expression shattered into sudden worry.
- You are keeping something from me right now. - He wasn't really bitter about it, more confused than anything because his words and actions weren't really matching. But he continued while Taehyung shook his head. - It could perhaps not be essential but at least you could tell me this to ease my mind a bit because I want a good reason why you would even need me to reassure you when I already have. - He didn't want him away in any way shape or form but he felt it was essential for his point to be made if he crossed his arms over his chest. But then he wavered when Taehyung's eyes got not only worried but sad as well, and his hands weakly tried to lower Jungkook's folded arms.
- It was just to reassure. I really had no secret meaning behind it. - But Jungkook wouldn't budge even if Taehyung's sadness hurt him. And then Taehyung let out a desperate breath. - You remember in the library when we were talking about your father's best friend and you had a really hard time talking about him? The way you couldn't talk or couldn't start or just the way you reacted when I said his name? Sometimes you have a hard time talking about certain things so I thought you would feel better if I reassured you that we were on the same page. We both have things we prefer not to talk about or even to remember, I just wanted to reassure you that we're the same in that and also to reassure myself because it would really hurt if I told you something I absolutely never even wanted to remember and you would still keep something to yourself. I'm sorry if it sounded like I was accusing you or something--
- It's ok. - Jungkook couldn't take it anymore, his honest words that told him how wrong his assumptions were along with the transparent expression of sadness and slight desperation of his lover were too much to take. He unfolded his arms from around his chest and instead folded them around Taehyung's neck to hug him close. - I'm sorry I got a little angry. -
Taehyung sighed, his body relaxing and hugging back with relief.
- I'm so glad to know we have good communication. - Jungkook chuckled, also glad to realize this.
- It just hurts to see you sad. -
- It hurts to see you angry. - Taehyung chuckled in his neck.
- Let's be happy then. - They both chuckled.
- Let's be happy. - Taehyung sighed, he sounded fine again. Then the coffee maker made a clicking noise. - Let's be happy while we drink coffee. - He let go of Jungkook and turned around with a smile to pour some coffee for the both of them while Jungkook giggled. And when Taehyung had the coffee cups in his hands Jungkook slid down from the counter with his sketchbook in one hand and crackers in the other.
- Let's talk about what we need to buy tomorrow, shall we? -
Taehyung smiled excitedly and nodded.
- Ok. Living room or Dining room? -
Jungkook thought.
- Living room. -
Taehyung nodded and went there while Jungkook took out his pencil case and then followed.
Taehyung sat on the couch and left their coffee on the coffee table while Jungkook chose to sit on the floor to use it, his view ahead was of the chimney and windows while Taehyung would be watching the dining room beside them, if he weren't watching Jungkook so intently.
Jungkook cleared his throat.
- Ok then, do you know anything about decoration? -
- A little bit. I went with my father to a lot of wedding venues and listened when they talked about what flower went well with what type of decoration so it could be somewhat safe to say that I can put colors well together. I also know about the "focus" part because my mother liked to take pictures; about how to make one thing the focus point of the viewer. My father and grandfather taught me a little about building things with a purpose, so, for example, our table had to be a big one so everyone could fit comfortably but at the same time they made sure it went well with the rest of the furniture in the house, so maybe I could also tell if the furniture went well together. But this is all speculation, I've never put this to use. -
Jungkook was in a daze just hearing him. He was talking comfortably and the light coming from the window brought the angles of his face into sharper focus. Like that, he looked like a sculpture, so beautiful it would be unreal. But, when he realized Taehyung had stopped speaking, he got startled and looked down at his closed sketchbook.
- Ummm... - Taehyung chuckled and Jungkook's cheeks turned pink as he opened his sketchbook and passed the pages. - You actually know a lot of things. The colors, focus, furniture... - He nodded to himself. - You know more than me. - He heard Taehyung moving closer and looked up to see him sitting down on the floor, resting his back against the couch.
- But you know more about art than me. - Taehyung said, confused while he folded one leg and rested his arm over his knee. So nonchalant and comfortable but still so handsome.
Jungkook took a deep breath and opened the bag of crackers he had brought to keep him focused.
- Art, yes, not interior design which would be more important to know here and you know more about it than me, I just know if two things look good together but nothing more. -
- Well me too. - Taehyung slid closer. - But I don't know, for example, which curtains would be better for this type of window or which color walls would look better with this type of high ceiling. -
- Do you want to paint your walls? - Jungkook finished the first cracker and took a pencil, but Taehyung's attention was averted as he looked at Jungkook's sketchbook.
- That's a new one. - He pointed at the drawing on the page next to the blank one Jungkook was planning to write on. He leaned closer to the table to look better and Jungkook turned the drawing so he could see. - Where was that? -
- My dorm room. That's the view from our window. -
- And who are these? - He pointed at the two silhouettes sitting on the bed.
- Tom and Jimin. -
Taehyung's yaw tightened momentarily and he moved the drawing back to him.
- It's beautiful. You like painting realistically? -
- I like painting. - Jungkook shook his head. - I don't like to put a name to it because I don't paint in just one way. I could paint something exactly as it is or however I want to portray it, I could saturate the colors or blur lines to create effects of different things. Or put things that weren't there to create a story. - He shrugged, but Taehyung looked at him like he would do anything other than a shrug. He looked at him with adoration, the littlest of smiles on his face while he heard him. Jungkook swallowed as he smiled and looked down at his sketchbook again. - So... - He placed the sketchbook better and started to write. - Let's start with the most obvious and easiest one, "Kitchen". -
Taehyung nodded and placed his elbow on the table to support his head on his fist.
- What would be on that list? - He thought and then answered his own question. - Plates of every sort. Big ones and tiny ones and the ones for the soup and the ones for big meals and the ones for desserts--
- "All tableware". - Jungkook wrote it down with a chuckle. - What else? -
- Pots and pans. Little ones for eggs and big ones for soup and also for meat, and a pressure cooker and a rice cooker and one to boil vegetables--
- "All pots and pans". - Jungkook laughed as he wrote it down. Taehyung laughed with him. He was excited, he was having a great time and Jungkook loved it. - Now, food. Concentrate on vegetables. -
- Ok. Lettuce, tomatoes, zucchini, mushrooms, eggplants [...] - He continued with the list of vegetables, one longer than Jungkook would've thought. He even had a hard time writing down some of the things because he didn't know how to write them or didn't even know they existed. At some point, he had to ask Taehyung what was cassava, and only when he was shown a picture was he able to realize that he had actually eaten it before.
- Ok then, farm boy. Fruits. - They laughed, Taehyung's eyes shining beautifully at him.
- Do you have any food allergies? - Taehyung asked curiously.
- Not that I know of. I haven't had any so far. - He smiled at him. - And you? -
- Kiwi fruit makes my tongue itchy. - He shrugged with a grimace.
- What's your favorite fruit? - Jungkook asked with a little smile.
- Watermelon, mango, orange, pineapple, banana... - He trailed off, not knowing what else to say but apparently not having just one favorite fruit.
- All tropical fruits. - Jungkook summarized and Taehyung smiled with a nod. - All the kinds of fruits that are kind of hard to come by in this weather. - The smile turned kind of sad and he nodded again.
- They also cost more, that's partially why Daphne never puts them on the list. The other reason is that she doesn't see them as necessary when there are others just as good and easier to get. -
Jungkook frowned.
- She does the shopping in the house? -
- No, she does the lists, the cook is the one who buys for the kitchen. But I was fine, if I went to a market one day and they had oranges, bananas, or mangos I would buy three. Two for my kids, one for me, not so pricey because it was just three and no evidence either because we would eat them without her knowing. - Taehyung chuckled, but Jungkook couldn't really laugh at that.
- Well then, - Jungkook wrote it down. - "Watermelon", "oranges", "mangoes", "pineapple", bananas too, right? What else? - Jungkook waited but there only came the sound of Taehyung standing up from the floor, Jungkook followed him with his gaze until Taehyung knelt behind him tight to his back, and hugged him around the middle, hiding his face in Jungkook's neck, and Jungkook heard a faint chuckle. He pushed himself even tighter against Taehyung, his heartbeat rising with his skin temperature as his head fell back on Taheyung's shoulder with a grin. - Any other fruit you would like to eat in your apartment? -
Taehyung chuckled and hugged him even tighter, then he lifted his head just enough so he could kiss Jungkook's cheek.
- What's your favorite fruit? - He asked low in his ear, making a flow of tingles run down Jungkook's spine as he giggled.
- Red apples. - He answered just as low. - I also like strawberries but I couldn't have them much. -
Taehyung kissed his cheek again and Jungkook turned his head just slightly so their lips were a little closer.
- Red apples and strawberries on the list, please. - Taehyugn murmured, Jungkook chuckled and straightened up so he could write that down. They continued with that list, all the while Taehyung sat behind him and hugged him, talking low in his ear, making him feel warmer under the hoodie. But then, as Jungkook finished writing, he thought of how Daphne didn't let the cook buy Taehyung's favorite fruits because they were "expensive" and he got confused. Wasn't she from a family of old money?
- Tae. -
- Yes? - Taehyung answered low with his lips close to Jungkook's neck, he was so comfortable where he was and with what he was doing that it melted Jungkook, and he turned around in his arms until his shoulder was against Taehyung's chest and he was looking at him full in the eyes.
- Would it be uncomfortable if we talk about money? - Jungkook asked, uncertain.
- I don't think so. Why? What do you want to know? -
Jungkook thought about it and then came up with a question.
- Where is your house? -
Taehyung lifted one eyebrow. Nevertheless, his little smile was left intact.
- Knightsbridge. -
Oh for goodness sakes, that's the most expensive place to live in London, why on earth would that woman not let Taehyung have his fruit then? A few pounds more or less wouldn't mean anything to a person who could afford to live there with two kids, maids, and a cook.
Jungkook took in a deep breath, barely containing his anger.
- Does that bother you? - Taehyung asked with a surprised little smile and a frown, not knowing what to think of Jungkook's reaction.
- No. - He answered simply, but Taehyung was still confused. - Is Daphne stingy? -
Taehyung looked away thinking about it.
- I... don't really know...? - He looked back to see Jungkook staring at him confused. - Well, if she was really stingy we wouldn't have maids and cooks, and... she wouldn't call on one of the most expensive tailors to make my suits or let the kids go to a private school, right? - He said, uncertain.
- No. - Jungkook shook his head. - Those things are considered a must. -
- A "must"? - Taehyung frowned.
- Yes, things one must have for appearances. All of that about the maids and cooks, private schools and suits, that's all for other people to see and admire about you, so it's a must. To be upper class is to live it and look it. - He finished with a sour taste in his mouth, and Taehyung looked surprisingly displeased but frozen where he was.
- "To be upper class is to live it and look it" - He muttered under his breath, and he looked off as he thought. - She wanted to send them to boarding school because that was more expensive than private school. - He seemed to have realized this just now. - She told me to take the job here because it was the most prestigious and expensive university in Europe. Her parents told me to be a university teacher because of how much they were paid and how acclaimed men in the job were. She made her own jewelry business because that's glamorous and expensive, and all the gifts they give to the kids are things other kids have or are even more expensive than that... Oh my God, I'm so stupid. - He let his forehead fall on Jungkook's shoulder, he was appalled with himself, and Jungkook got alarmed.
- What do you mean stupid? Realizing it sooner or later wouldn't have made any difference. -
Taehyung looked up again and Jungkook held his cheeks.
- What would that environment do to the kids? I could've said or done something. -
- But you have. - He reminded him. - You didn't let her send the kids to boarding school, you constantly took your kids out to the park, you brought them little gifts like pretty flowers or delicious fruits they didn't have in their house and you played with them. You were the one who taught them life wasn't only about expensive gifts and hierarchies, you taught them a humble life, you were their grounding while other kids their age just thought they were the best because of how many cars their dads had. You showed them that love isn't about how many toys your parents give you. You gave hugs and kisses and you were there, that's the best thing a parent can do, be present and loving. -
He finished with an adoring sigh, frowning at just how good this man was and just how much he wasn't aware of it. Because Taehyung was clearly not aware of just how important his actions were, seeing how he was frozen as he heard all of this, and then bewildered, looking at Jungkook as though he couldn't believe his beautiful words, like they weren't the truth but just a pretty story about a father that did all of that on purpose for the sole reason of keeping his kids humble and human instead of the reality, that Taehyung did all of that just because that's what his heart told him to do and somehow it turned out better than he ever expected.
But that's exactly the thing, Taehyung's heart was greater than its owner could even realize.
Jungkook turned around fully and pushed Taehyung's shoulders a little bit back until he sat on the floor so he could sit on his lap. Once that was done, he wrapped his arms around his neck while Taehyung wrapped his around his waist.
- You give yourself a hard time trying to be something you're already good at, Tae. Just because you think you didn't do a good job doesn't mean that's true. - Jungkook said in a soft tone. And Taehyung looked so grateful, he didn't even have to say it, and they connected their foreheads, Jungkook closing his eyes.
- If it's true that you get what you give, then I must've done something heavenly to deserve you. - Jungkook sighed as his heart fainted, and then kissed him softly until Taehyung leaned away with a soft chuckle, and then, with his eyes closed and the tips of their noses brushing sweetly, he muttered. - How can you be so wise, my love? Tell me if Epicurus was the one who hand-made your heart for me, for I have reached the Ataraxia he had promised with your words. Tell me if you're the direct path for me to reach Elysium because I think you are, every time our lips meet. -
Jungkook couldn't take it anymore, so he gently placed his fingertips over Taehyung's lips to stop him.
Epicurus was a philosopher whose whole purpose was to help people attain a happy, tranquil life so they could reach a state called Ataraxia, meaning: to live a life of peace and freedom from fear. And the Elysium is the heaven of Greek mythology where admission was reserved for mortals related to the gods and other heroes, also those chosen by the gods, the righteous, and the heroic, where they would remain after death, to live a blessed and happy life.
Taehyung called him a God, an angel, a hero, and the right-hand student of an ancient Greek philosopher whose main teaching was how to live in freedom of fear, not to mention the fact that he also said his lips were so heavenly he all but showed him how a blessed afterlife would be like.
Jungkook gave a weak, breathless chuckle against the back of his fingers and opened his eyes to see Taehyung's dark and open ones. Those honest and bright gems. He was the reason why now he truly believed that the eyes are the windows to the soul. He is the heavenly one handcrafted for him.
Jungkook took a deep breath and murmured as low and lovely as Taehyung had.
- I don't think you understand the power of your words, Tae. - Taehyung's eyes melted sweetly as a little smile tugged at the corner of his lips. - Haven't I told you before? A drop from heaven that makes its way down a mountain, growing, expanding, carving its way into the earth to beautify nature and nurture life. Your words have so much power, they can make a whole kingdom in one day, as well as make it fall to its knees in one night. You can save and cure, kill and curse. Now I'm the one wondering how that came to be, or if you were just born with such great power. Could you answer me that? - He raised his eyebrows.
Taehyung chuckled and turned his head to kiss the tip of Jungkook's fingers before he took his hand and placed Jungkook's palm over his own cheek.
- I won't answer you until you answer me, your highness. - He made a little bow of the head with his eyebrows raised making Jungkook giggle as he caressed Taehyung's cheek with his thumb and brought his remaining hand to hold his other cheek as well.
- Well then, I believe that the wise are not necessarily the oldest, but the ones who've lived the most and therefore have learned much more. I believe that the wisest one is the one who respects peace the most because they had looked at war, hatred, and death right in the eyes and learned from it. They respect death and life as equally as they should be, so they are at peace. - He took a deep breath and kept going. - I don't know why or how you would ever think I'm wise if I look at myself from my own perspective of wisdom. -
- My life is foggy with the fear of imprisonment or death, I hate war and always chose to ignore it both in the real world and inside myself, and even if it could be counted as a sin I would much rather prefer to live in ignorance of what people in the streets are fighting for than to end up as one of them. Not because I wouldn't want to be by their side but because of what the authorities do to those who disobey. - He took another deep breath and caressed Taehyung's worried face delicately. - I could be wise inside my own little world of fantasy where you're a Greek God and I'm the luckiest peasant in the whole village, and we're free and happy, talking to each other like no one else does anymore. I can't be wise in real life, starting with the fact that nearly half of what I preach surprises even me. I could tell you brave and beautiful things, but nearly always I have a hard time following or believing in them myself. -
He just told him he's a coward. And he is, in his own eyes, he could feel strong and brave, he could fight people his age with ease until he wins, but he would never be able to fully stand tall against his father or that other man, or the police or doctors or who knows what other rubbish that has his hands tied behind his back without letting him be free and happy just being himself with Taehyung. He could be stubborn and brave, but so inconsistently. It has to be the right day at the right time with the right people around and in the right location otherwise, he would never be able to be as heroic as Taehyung's adoring eyes seem to see every time he opens his mouth.
Taehyung's eyes were locked on his, worried and loving, longing to be able to take his fear away and not knowing that he already had the power to do that. Taehyung could be so oblivious sometimes. And as Jungkook enjoys just sitting in his lap and feeling his arms around him while he caressed his cheeks tenderly, Taehyung spoke softly again.
- I believe there are different ways to gain wisdom. - Taehyung started. - Because wisdom is about using all the knowledge you have and making it work in the wisest way there is. So then, there could be wisdom in everything, not only in war, there could be wisdom in people who understand the subject they live for, some might call those people "masters at their work" because they know more about it than anybody else. Those could be generals, admirals, or the leader of a troop, as well as teachers, farmers, and artists. I believe you, my Love, are wise because of the way you can learn by paying close attention to everything and using that knowledge you attained to nurture yourself for the better. With just one image of a situation, you can put all your knowledge to use in an unbiased and smart way. You're a master at coming up with stories so you could live a peaceful life, and those stories work because you closely observe other people's words and reactions. -
- To me, you're wise, not in the ethical way like you think but in more of an intellectual way. With the way you learn swiftly and not only apply those teachings of everything but also bend them to your will, use them however you might need them, and connect them with other pieces of knowledge in a way that works. You understand that life could teach you in many different ways many different things while the majority of other people ignore the vast majority of things. You love to learn, I've seen it, and there's no higher level of wisdom than to understand life's all about learning and growing, and you reached that level even before you even came here. The moment you decided your grandparent's discarded books were a mine of gold. Because you understand the meaning of knowledge, you're able to learn and adapt thanks to your open mind. And I think... you never realized. -
He smiled and neared Jungkook enough to give him a little kiss on the lips, then leaned back again to see Jungkook's grateful eyes. Because he was grateful, he was grateful he finally had Taehyung with him, the person who helps him to better see himself. With him, he felt whole, he felt as though his past never happened, he felt clean and cured with his touch, and he felt saved with his smile and the words that come out of his soft lips. Just what could've happened to Jungkook if he didn't have Taehyung? Nothing. Because he wouldn't have lived that long to know about it.
Jungkook leaned in and connected their foreheads.
- You are indeed my destiny. How else would I feel like this is the way life's supposed to be? How else would I have felt the need to study at this university for no other reason than because it was beautiful? How else would I have felt an inexplicable urge to enter the forest and leave the white path behind? How else would I've felt unmatched happiness and peace of mind the first time I saw you? If it wasn't destiny. -
Taehyung leaned in just enough to brush the tips of their noses softly, both had their eyes half-closed loving to look at how close the other was. Jungkook was looking down at his lips, and how they moved as he talked.
- How else would I've needed to move to London? How else would I've needed to become a University Professor of just the subject you chose to study? Destiny works in funny ways sometimes, only the universe knows what's best for us, we can only live through those experiences as best as we can and learn from them. It took me a long time to learn, it seems, ten years or more until at last you were given to me. But at last, you're here. At last. -
- I love you. -
- I love you. And the way you scrunch your nose when you smile, the way you hold a book so delicately mostly with the tips of your fingers, the way you hold my face just as softly and look at me like I'm art... -
Jungkook placed his fingertips over Taehyung's lips again.
- Are you trying to make my heart explode? 'Cause, it's working. - They both chuckled.
- I just adore you so much it's nearly unbearable to keep it in. - Taehyung talked still with Jungkook's fingers against them, but so softly it sent tingles from his fingertips through his whole arm.
- Aaaaand it exploded. - Jungkook grinned as he leaned back and let his head fall to the side, faking death, letting his hands fall to Taehyung's shoulders as he heard him laugh.
- Oh no, do not tell me it was I who let it go to pieces. - He joked back as he held Jungkook around the back as though holding a fainted body.
- Oh yes, you have, it was you who killed me. - Jungkook, his eyes closed, placed the back of his hand over his forehead in mocked agony, making Taehyung laugh even more.
- Then if it was my hand who shed ruthlessly this beauty of this world, I should burn in hell for my sin. -
Jungkook let his hand fall over Taehyung's shoulder again as he giggled in surprise, opening his eyes and straightening up to look at him.
- Just what would've happened to you if you were born in the 14h century? - He asked jokingly while he laughed and Taehyung smiled brightly at him, looking like he loved the sight.
- You would've been Da Vinci's favorite student. - Taehyung stated.
- And you would've been Romeo, dying after your lover. -
- Only if you were the lover. - Taehyung leaned closer again, to be sweetly brushing the tips of their noses. And Jungkook giggled silently, feeling butterflies.
- Do you want to continue with the list? -
- Hm? - Taehyung seemed to be in somewhat of a trance as he let his eyes fall shut and the tip of his nose brushed Jungkook's cheek, his lips close to his.
- The list of things... we'll buy tomorrow. - He whispered, feeling tingles through his scalp and letting his eyes fall shut, just feeling Taehyung, his warm breath, his hands holding his waist, his strong thighs beneath him...
- We'll know what's missing when we get there. - He finished with a huskier voice, and then both of them closed the last tiny distance there was left, taking an intake of breath at the contact of soft and warm lips on their own, moving softly, feeling each other gently. Just the kiss mattered, nothing more than that. Just the soft connecting and disconnecting of their lips and their deep warm breaths mixing with the other's, hands holding tight and close, Taehyung's on Jungkook's waist while Jungkook's were holding the sides of Taehyung's neck.
Jungkook intended the kiss to be a soft one like the one on the kitchen counter, but Taehyung leaned in more and brought him even closer, deepening it, and Jungkook was trapped in the good sensations flowing through him.
The warmth made goosebumps rise on his skin. Kissing... Kissing was so good. It was numbing and exhilarating all at once, it consumed him whole, all his senses were drawn to that action and because his eyes were closed, everything else was magnified. The touch, the feeling of Taehyung's warm breath and the sound of it, and the sound of the kisses right in his ears, the intimacy of such a thing felt oh so good.
One of his hands went to the back of Taehyung's head and he dragged his nails downwards to the back of his neck and then continued down the side of it and to the front, down and down until the neck of the t-shirt wouldn't let him move, all the while Taehyung's breathing accelerated and his kisses intensified. It was so good to feel the effect he had on him.
But Taehyung was driving him crazy, he was feeling too good, and it wouldn't be a problem if it weren't daytime and light wasn't coming in through the unobstructed windows. Last night with the light of the bathroom and them in the shower was really good only because he was fully concentrating on Taehyung, but with six tall windows illuminating the whole loft that because of the lack of walls looked even wider than it already was, he didn't think he could do something like this. He didn't believe in himself that much.
He was about to slow down the kiss when suddenly Taehyung leaned in and kissed him passionately, a hand going to the back of his head and grabbing a gentle but firm fist full of hair as his other hand went beneath the hoodie to hold his naked waist. Jungkook gasped in the kiss and an unstoppable moan flowed from his mouth to Taehyung, making him growl.
This is not good, he was losing it, and it was not good because he was thinking that losing it was not good. He refuses to do anything of this sort while his head was full of other things, he wants all of him to be concentrated on Taehyung, and thinking about daylight was not it.
- Wait. - He stopped the kiss breathlessly, grabbing Taehyung's face to stop his next advance. Taehyung was slightly panting, his eyes still closed, his lips tinted red and shiny. Jungkook bit his lip.
- What? - Taehyung asked hoarsely and his hands let go of where they were holding only to hold again, making Jungkook's eyes close for a second.
- My mind's full of daylight, I can't really concentrate on anything else. -
Taehyung's eyes opened slowly. When he saw that they were dark, Jungkook swallowed.
- I'm sorry. - He apologized, still hoarsely, his eyes still dark, his hands still holding, his lips still close to his own.
Jungkook giggled.
- Are you? - Taehyung chuckled with a crooked grin that made Jungkook bite his lip, making Taehyung's grin disappear.
- I just wanted an innocent deep kiss. But perhaps nothing deep could be innocent. - His eyes went half closed and he tilted his head, getting closer as though to kiss. But they never really connected. Their lips just brushed a little, their breathing stopped in their throats and there was nothing sexier than to be on that edge between nothing and devouring each other. - I just... remembered last night and I... couldn't stop myself. - He was muttering low, and his words along with the unbearable arousal of such sensations made Jungkook bite his lip again. - Oh don't bite your lip or I'll do it for you. - Taehyung nearly growled.
Jungkook let go with a silent little gasp.
- Don't talk like that or I'll render you speechless. - He challenged with a purr, but, deep down, he meant it. Taehyung grinned that wickedly sexy grin.
- Don't challenge me or I'll win. -
At the same time, they leaned forwards and connected their lips. Challenge accepted. Jungkook liked to play like this, it was hot and steamy, sensual and daring, but it was still fun as a game, it didn't need to be a prelude to something more, just the tingles of this were enough to leave him giggly and warm and he liked it.
But Taehyung was losing it completely, his kisses were as deep as his breathing and there's nothing hotter in this whole world for Jungkook than to see, feel and hear Taehyung being aroused. He wasn't meaning for this to go on where it was heading, but his mind was getting foggy as their bodies tried to get closer and they were chest to chest while kissing fiercely. His hands grabbed handfuls of Taehyung's hair making him growl, the vibrations and sound of it making Jungkook moan, his moan making Taehyung hold the back of his thigh with one hand and pull him in, the fact that his hand was so close to one of Jungkook's sensitive areas was making Jungkook want more and more and more, he wanted all of it, he wanted him, he wanted to touch him and hold him and swallow him like he did the night before, he wanted him in his mouth and see his soul leave his body at the immensity of the pleasure he was giving him.
Taehyung fell back onto the floor taking Jungkook with him. Now he was on top of him altogether.
It wasn't until Taehyung put his hands under Jungkook's hoodie and the latter felt his nails against his bare skin that Jungkook leaned back and broke the kiss, placing a hand on the base of Taehyung's neck to keep him there. They were both breathless, panting, their lips red and minds foggy. And Taehyung smiled. Then started to laugh, still looking as aroused as ever but laughing with his eyes closed.
- What is it? - Jungkook asked with a grin and caressed his neck.
Taehyung's hold on his waist tightened as he looked up at him.
- You know what this reminds me of? - Jungkook's brow lifted, waiting for him to continue. - The library. -
Once it clicked, Jungkook laughed as well.
- You think there could be some correlation between time and our uncontrollable desires? Because we've found ourselves in this predicament when it's close to lunchtime numerous times. -
Taehyung brought a hand up to Jungkook's cheek.
- If it was up to me, we would be like this all the time. We wouldn't even need to dress up. -
Jungkook bit his lip with a grin and he got closer to Taehyung's lips.
- You're more daring, my Love. - He purred. It was true, even the night before Taehyung still had a hard time speaking his mind when it came to something intimate, just like Jungkook wouldn't have been able to be like this in daylight but, apparently, he could.
Taehyung grinned and his dark eyes locked with his.
- You're making this frozen flower blossom again with the heat of your love. You're turning me into the man I was meant to be. -
Jungkook lost his breath and kissed him lovingly... softly... slowly, and leaned back just enough so that their lips were just brushing against each other.
- A male Aphrodite. God of beauty, sensuality, and love. - He purred, and Taehyung chuckled.
- I thought you were Aphrodite. - His hands moved slowly up Jungkook's back making him shiver. And then, Taehyung gasped silently and closed his eyes. - You're Dionysus. - He said with a grin and opened his eyes again to look up at Jungkook.
- The God of wine? - Jungkook asked with a grin but Taehyung shook his head.
- The God of wine and fertility, inspirator of madness and ecstasy, God of agriculture and theater. Also known as the Liberator, liberating one of their normal self thru madness, ecstasy, and wine. -
- God damn, I'm Dionysus. - They both laughed and Jungkook let his forehead fall on Taehyung's shoulder.
- Have you ever drank wine? - Taehyung asked as his hands kept on caressing Jungkook's back up and down, and Jungkook had to put his at either side of Taehyung to support himself better with his elbows. He laughed as he remembered.
- Of course. Numerous times. - He answered, his lips close to Taehyung's neck, to the marks he himself had left there.
- Why are you laughing, huh? - Taehyung asked with a smile close to his ear.
- Are we fine talking about alcohol? -
- Yes. -
Thankfully, Jungkook could hear he was still smiling. He leaned back with a grin and looked at him.
- Well, it was just that I remembered this one time at a dinner party in my house where they served an expensive Spanish wine that I liked so I stole one of the bottles and got drunk in my room. - He shrugged, and Taehyung spluttered as he laughed in disbelief.
- How old were you? -
- Nineteen. - He shrugged again while Taehyung laughed. - And let me tell you, wine hangovers are not fun. - He smiled as Taehyung's laugh went on. Actually, that particular hangover was terrible because of the punishment he got for it. Apparently, the bottles had been counted. But Taehyung didn't need to know that right now. - Have you ever gotten drunk after what happened? -
Taehyung sighed and shook his head.
- There hasn't been an occasion for it, or a need or want. If I go to parties they're smart parties where I have to live up to my titles, and one cup of champagne doesn't really do much. Also, I couldn't get drunk in my own house because I would rather play with my kids than hide in a corner with a bottle. I've never had the need to be drunk, and I've never been properly drunk, what happened that night was fucked-up-drunk not fun-drunk. -
Jungkook leaned in and kissed him softly on the cheek near his lips.
- Would you like to get fun-drunk sometime? -
Taehyung chuckled and one of his hands went down to Jungkook's thigh.
- Dionysus. -
Jungkook giggled.
- Dionysus will be happy to know you're worshiping him. - The hand on his thigh tightened and Taehyung spoke right in his ear.
- I worship no one but you. - Jungkook giggled and placed his forehead where it was before. - And yes, I would like to get fun-drunk... with you. - He gave a kiss to the tip of Jungkook's ear as his hands went around his waist and held him tightly close. Jungkook could feel a thousand feelings, but nothing compared to the feeling of Taehyung's heartbeat right there on his own chest. - How are you when you're drunk? - Taehyung asked curiously and Jungkook giggled in his neck.
- That's hard to know seeing how I've never been drunk with another person, but I can say that I'm truly happy I never did because apparently I laugh a lot about really stuping things, blast music, and sing it at the top of my lungs. - He sighed. - From what I remember of that night, it was awesome, I was having fun on my own for a moment. -
Taehyung started to rub his bare back soothingly with one hand.
- Tell me about the craziest and most fun nights you've had. - Taehyung suggested with an audible wide smile and Jungkook giggled, then he leaned back and sat up. Taehyung followed suit, holding them together again.
Jungkook had the coffee table at his back and one touch of it reminded him of something.
- That coffee must be stone cold by now. -
Taehyung's mouth went open and he looked over Jungkook's shoulder at the table.
- I don't think so. Reach over. - He nodded once to Jungkook and he turned his torso around, reaching over one of the cups. It was not cold, it was actually a little hotter than warm.
- Oh well. - He reached for one and gave it to Taehyung and then he reached the other for himself.
- It's perfect. - Taehyung said after one sip. - They were boiling before. - Jungkook nodded and took a sip as well. Yes, just right. - So... - Taehyung drank with an expectant stare at Jungkook.
- The craziest? - Jungkook giggled and Taehyung nodded. - The most fun? - He nodded again, excited, and Jungkook took his time thinking about it while he drank some coffee. - Ok then. One time I snuck into a VIP party by accident. - Taehyung nearly choked, making Jungkook laugh.
- Elaborate. - Taehyung looked bewildered with his wide eyes and held tight to his coffee cup.
- Well, at around fourteen when all the fighting started at school and stuff I also started to sneak out of my house at night for a little peace, trying to find places where I could be alone and feel safe. Never found it. But it was still interesting to go out and about on my own. In one of those outings, I found a group of guys who were jumping all over the place, from wall to wall and stuff, and I watched and watched, coming back to the same place to watch a couple of other nights until I could understand some of the tricks and do them on my own. And I practiced and practiced just for something to do because I didn't really need to study and I hadn't found my love for drawing yet. -
- So, one of those nights, I was particularly pissed off about something that happened at home or school or something, I was angry, and I ran off much more away than I'd done before while jumping from bins to walls to rooftops, and once I had calmed down I was at the rooftop of a medium tall building in what looked like the heart of the city. - He shook his head in disbelief, remembering it is still just as bizarre as the moment itself. - I looked around and noticed how one way of the building other buildings were somewhat close together in a stair-like formation so it would be really easy to jump off as it was to jump up. But I landed on the first building and I was just really tired so I just checked if the door to the building was open and I got in. -
Taehyung's eyes went wide open at the realization of where that door would lead him and Jungkook chuckled with a nod.
- Indeed it was. I walked down the stairs and opened the door to the corridor and it was packed with people, music, and party lights. But this wasn't a normal party because everyone was dressed too well for that, too fancy, too expensive. And I just walked through because I had to get out, right? But that place seemed to be made of nothing but doors leading to more corridors and more people. It seemed like a venue for parties. But I tried to make myself look as though I belonged there, looking aloof and unpreoccupied with anything, I was tall enough to pass for eighteen so I just walked with a hand on my pocket and another on a glass of something that smelled too good to be healthy. -
Taehyung laughed in utter astonishment, and he went on.
- Finally, I got to the main room of the place and it was just what I thought. A place for parties. There was a DJ on a stage, dizzying lights floating around and it all looked so expensive you wouldn't believe it, including the people there. And when I got to the door...- The laughter didn't let him continue for a moment. - When I got to the door, this is what I did... - Taehyung looked at him expectantly, putting his empty cup on the table behind Jungkook.
- I gave the glass to a waiter, told him next time I wanted a Veuve Clicquot and to tell the bartender the debt has not been paid, then they opened the doors for me and when I stepped out I looked at my watch and clicked my tongue because I've seen that done too many times before and something always happens. And, sure enough, a valet comes running to me and, before he could say anything, I say "Bring a car for me, will you? I'm running late" And, without another word, a car pulls right in front of me, I step in without any care for my well-being, tell him the address of the house of one of my parent's colleagues that I memorize by luck, and he left me outside the door of this big ass mansion that was closer to my parents' house than that party venue. And When he drove away, I walked home. -
- No way! - Taehyung was almost in hysterics as he laughed and hid his smile behind his hands. Jungkook finished his coffee quickly and left the cup behind him on the table too with a wide smile. - You're wild. - Taehyung said in astonishment and he grabbed Jungkook's waist while the latter folded his hands behind Taehyung's neck and shrugged, being cool about it. - This story is both concerning and funny at the same time. - He shook his head. - I mean, you walking the streets at night, at fourteen, learning things from people on the streets but also from very wealthy people. It astonishes me just how smart you were at fourteen already. But it did displease me to hear how you just got into a stranger's car. Luckily that went well. -
- Parental instincts kicking in? - Jungkook taunted wiggling his eyebrows a little with a laugh. Taehyung let out a breathless chuckle.
- Having kids does make someone more worried about things like that, I guess. - He shrugged, and then he let out a breath letting go of any tension he had in him and just leaning in to hug Jungkook tight to him while hiding in his neck. - I used to be wild. - He muttered as though he missed the old days, and Jungkook could understand why he would miss the freedom he used to have, but it still surprised him slightly.
- Elaborate? - He said tentatively with a little giggle. - I mean, I've seen a glimpse of wildness in you but--
- The type of wild you've seen, - Taehyung cut across with an audible grin. - is one that I didn't even know I had in me. -
Oh...
- You're a natural then. - Jungkook said low in his ear, and he felt Taehyung's breath in his neck when he chuckled.
- Look who's talking. - He leaned back and stared at Jungkook closely with half-closed eyes and a grin. - You're the one who came here completely inexperienced and unknowing and you still do it so fucking good. Oh, God. - Taehyung's voice got deeper in the end and his eyes closed, letting his forehead fall on Jungkook's shoulder. And Jungkook's breathing shuddered at his reaction to a memory, just the memory of him made Taehyung weak. - The way you move and talk and purr in my ear, and your eyes, God your eyes. - His arms tightened around Jungkook and his lips were right against his neck making him shiver. - The way you know what you want and take it. No innocent mind could be as good as you, to be able to know nothing in one second and master everything the next. And still, you do things out of curiosity and that shit just drives me crazy. - Jungkook felt how Taehyung's hips undulated upwards against him and that made his eyes roll back a little. Not because of the feeling but for the thoughts of what that movement implied.
Jungkook hadn't realized Taehyung had been trying to "hold it in" all this time they were talking.
- Tae, you were doing so well. Tame yourself again. - He muttered jokingly with a breathless little giggle, and Taehyung chuckled in his ear so low that it made Jungkook tremble.
- What if I want to be wild for a second? Just a second. - Taehyung started to kiss Jungkook's earlobe; to bite, suck, and then kiss up the ear. And Jungkook was breathless, his eyes closed as he swallowed. The feeling of it flowed down his whole body, warming him up. - We can hide from the light under the covers. - He whispered, making him shiver. Jungkook grabbed gentle fistfuls of his hair in his mounting arousal. - You don't have to if you don't want to. I can always wait for your word. - And then he kept on kissing softly and slowly, on the back of his ear, beneath it, along his jaw, and down his neck.
Jungkook tilted his head back and Taehyung seemed to love it with the way he started kissing everywhere he could find.
But always so slowly, waiting for Jungkook's word.
