"WE ARE NOT SO DIFFERENT, ZOLA." Shin looked to the girl who sat on the cold metal bench. Zola looked up to her with a small hatred, how could she tell her that they weren't different? Zola Orden was not a murderer; nor a sinister liar. "You're wrong, I would never choose that path." Zola seethed, her boot lightly clanking the floor as she leaned forward.
"And what exactly is that path?" Shin began to walk down the glowing stairs into the small room; she paced like a ghost who had lost their ticket to the afterlife. "The path of certain death." Zola looked at her as she walked. "Survival forced us to make tough decisions." Shin turned, still several feet in front of the Jedi, but close.
"I have made tough decisions, but I never gave up my humanity; my compassion." Zola's eyes were glossy. She would have never expected to face the trials of the galaxy so young. To witness the kiss of dark. "Neither did I. I just hid it better." Shin commented, shrugging slightly and looking into Zola's eyes.
They stared. The room was silent and the light slightly flickered above. Zola knew what she was thinking; but she was not to be a pawn; a chess piece in the game of gain. "I won't be here forever, you cannot hold me here." Zola broke the silence. Shin fought a small smirk behind the sentence. "Is that a threat?" Shin turned her head to the side.
Zola copied her movement. "A promise." Her expression was set, and serious. "We'll see about that." Shin turned around. "You don't understand, you underestimate the power of the Jedi." Zola stood up. The once silence in the room was now a loud rumble. "And you underestimate me, I'm not the monster you think I am" Shin turned once more to meet Zola standing.
"Actions speak louder than words." The brunette quirked her chin up. "Then you better be sure to watch my actions much closer, you may be surprised." Shin walked out of the cell, watching the door close as Zola shouted and ran to the door. Zola's palm met the door as the others help banging on the metal. "Let me out!" Zola's muffled voice echoed to Shin's ears. They looked at each other through the glass; and for a moment, Shin swore she saw herself in Zola's iris.
The same girl who tried to give the light a chance, but only to be taken over by the whispers of the moon. Shin walked away, alongside guards who followed her footsteps. Zola continued to scream. She deeply missed the moments she took advantage of days before. She missed the mornings when she would be forced to wake up in order to train.
A girl who groaned as the sun sang her name and casted light upon her face. The girl who would get annoyed at her mentor. Little did she know that she would miss those days. Oh and Zola hated herself for leaving so soon. She paced back in forth in the cell; the yellow lights made her head pound and her heart quicken. To be Zola Orden, is to be a heart that forever longs for a home she cannot visit.

SHIN WALKED INTO THE bright room. Morgan Elsbeth stood in the middle of the room, her hands were crossed and set behind her back. "Status?" She did not turn, but her focus was set on the planet in front of her. Seatos. Where everything would begin. "Difficult, hard to understand." Shin stopped in her place. Morgan let out a small "hm."
"Predictable." She continued. "Skywalker was her master, she has learned this from him." Morgan turned, looking toward the computers and droids who worked on them. Shin stood still. She had heard the tales of the great Luke Skywalker. The man who slain Darth Vader himself and watched him burn to ash.
Shin wanted to venture into the past of Zola Orden. She wanted to understand why she was surrounded by a wall of Beskar. But Shin Hati had a duty; a promise. She had to obey what she was told. If she even dared to go off course, her life would end faster than it was granted to her. She remembers the bright lights of Coruscant, the full power of the Empire.
The taunting glowing ads that shouted "Join the Empire!" or "The Rebellion falls today." She remembers. Shin Hati had no choice. She was fourteen and confused why her body possessed such a power; why her mind and hands could move objects. When someone had attacked her in a dark alleyway, and her power was at full. Baylan Skoll had found her there, confused and shaken. Baylan thought the remainder of the Jedi were slain, gone into the abyss of death forever.
Shin thought of this frequently. Where would she be now if she was never found? Shin blinked, looking back to Morgan. "Zola Orden will simply be another rebel who will not pass us, she is a good resource for us, make sure she won't leave." She looked to the younger girl. Shin nodded. "She is the key to finding Thrawn." Morgan Elsbeth studied the stars beyond the glass. "I understand."
One of the computers beeped. Morgan and Shin's head snapped to the sound. "There has been a breach in the detention levels." One of the droids spoke, its monotone voice echoed in the vast room. Morgan hurriedly walked over, looking toward the screen. "She has escaped." Morgan looked back to Shin, who stood with no expression. "Find her, she cannot get far." The witch sighed, walking to the middle of the room.
Shin nodded once again, then turned to walk out the door. Several soldiers crowded the hallways, with their deadly guns set in their hands. A couple followed Shin as she walked down the hallway. "Check every crevice." She motioned to the guards, two fingers pointing to the sides. Shin stood still for a moment, security ran around her in the hallway. "She cannot get far." She whispered to herself, then continued to walk down the hallway. It was eerily silent. The troops had separated. Zola could not just vanish, she had no such power to evaporate into thin air.
Shin knew that Zola was clever. She could have easily made her way out of the holding cell, but she couldn't escape the truth. She couldn't escape her. Shin continued down the hallways, her orange lightsaber illuminated the dark path. There was no sound, no sign of life. She walked carefully. "I know you are here, Zola." Shin's voice echoed hauntingly.
Zola hid behind a wall, her lightsaber gripped in her hand. She peered behind the metal, Zola spotted the orange lightsaber in the distance. For a moment, Zola found peace. She felt the similar presence of her former master. "Trust in the force, Zola." His voice reverberated in her head, she closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she stepped away from the wall, walking closely and quietly.
"Guess the dark isn't as concealing as I thought." Zola's lightsaber ignited a purple glow. The once dark hallway was now a combination of dusk. The lavender and soft crimson filled the floor. Shin rushed forward, but Zola's saber met the blade first. Sparks flew across the room. Zola spun her saber, looking for an opening to strike. With a sharp move, Shin met Zola's saber once again. They stood there, pushing the lights together. Zola looked right into Shin's eyes, they shared the same compassion; the same goal, but different endings.
Zola let go with one hand, the force flushed through her hand as Shin was thrown back slightly. Zola stood taller, but the girl with white hair stumbled. Zola shrugged as Shin stared at her with the single look of death in her eyes.
Zola walked forward, gaining strength in her arms. She lifted the lightsaber from behind her head, it clashed with Shin's. The room was lit with strobe lights. The sparks created smoke, which started to fog the floors. Through the darkness, their eyes illuminated each others colors. Zola's were a light amber. Shin's, a burning violet.
Zola lunged forward once again, kicking Shin in the hip. Shin grunted, falling back on the floor. With another move, Zola spun, her lightsaber grazing Shin's left cheek. Shin hid her head down, her lower arm rested on the floor while she held her cheek. Zola paused. She hadn't meant to actually do that much harm, it wasn't the Jedi way to kill. She was hurt, but Zola had to escape. "Over here!" A voice echoed from within the darkness. Zola turned her head, her lilac saber still ignited.
Zola looked to the girl on the floor, who then looked at her with a strong hatred. There was another silence. Zola had noticed there had been many silences while she was in Shin's presence. But there was no explanation, no logical reason that could fully set in Zola's head. The footsteps got louder, and Zola ran. She ran down the hallway, away from the girl who tried to harm her.
Zola raced, she didn't know where to go, but she knew she had to run; to escape and find Ahsoka.
