THE DAYS FELT SHORTER ever since Zola Orden left her masters side to go explore the galaxy with Ahsoka Tano. The constant feeling that the darkness would creep its way into her life was suddenly gone. As the New Republic found it's home in the heart of the universe, there was no more fear. No more Empire, no more pain.

Years later, Zola can still remember the horrid emotions she felt as she watched her home slowly be consumed into a battle ground. When the sound of a lightsaber struck her ears and a body thumped the ground above her. She hid in the floors of her own home as Darth Vader killed her parents. The sounds replayed in her head, over and over again. She had now learned to drown them out, but was she ever going to forget them? No, it would never happen.

"Stay here Huyang." Ahsoka spoke strictly to the old droid. Zola smiled, getting up from her chair in the cockpit. She followed the togruta into the main part of the ship and down the ramp. Zola covered her eyes as the wind from the landing craft blew the sand around her.

"What exactly are we doing here?" Zola asked though a raspy voice as she covered her whole face instead of her eyes. "Finding the star map." Ahsoka spoke blankly, walking straight off the ramp without protecting her eyes. "Right." Zola looked around, following her closely as Ahsoka kept glancing towards the grounds.

"Someone is watching us." She caught up to her, whispering ever so silently. "I know." She responded. "Just stick to the mission, our future relies on it." Ahsoka looked toward the younger girl, who then nodded in understanding. Even as Zola Orden was planets away from her former master, she could feel his presence in Ahsoka Tano. They shared similar traits, and spent most of her time fighting wars that felt endless.

It was like Luke never left. But in order move on, you must let go. She made the decision to leave Ossus and explore the galaxy with Ahsoka. If you ever asked Zola why she did it, there would be no answer. In reality, there was no answer to that question. It was as feeling, a pull. There were barley any Jedi left after the Empire had slain them all into oblivion.

There was nothing left of the Republic, and the Jedi order. She had heard stories from others. Ahsoka barley talked about it, for a reason Zola couldn't understand. Even if she didn't know Ahsoka's past, she trusted her. She felt like an older sister, a close relative, and she knew what it felt to have your girlhood ripped away.

For the longest time, Zola wanted nothing to do with the rebellion. The rebellion couldn't save her family, they couldn't give back what had been taken from her. When she had been a girl struggling  to make it around, Luke Skywalker had found her, he had given her chance. The only person to fully see the light within her was him.

As the pair walked through the ruins, Zola looked up. There was still a very old but intact archway, small bits of sand blew from it. However, several other grey pillars had fallen. Ahsoka ducked underneath one. There was a silence between them both as she inspected the grounds. Zola kept glancing toward her sides, keeping her headspace open to any possible threats. She paced slowly around the circle before Ahsoka drew her lightsabers and spun.

Zola turned quick, seeing as the woman fell through the ground. Zola then jumped in shortly after. "Woah." She whispered as she looked to the art displayed on the sandy walls. It looked like constellations, attached to wall like how it glitters in the skies above. Alien like creatures held golden orbs. Three short pillars stood in three directions of the circular room. Zola noticed Ahsoka bend down and place her hands on the stone.

She stood back, watching carefully as she turned the upper part of it. Sand dropped from it, creating a scraping sound in their ears. A line ran down the middle, which then aligned with Ahsoka's left eye. There was muffled thudding coming from somewhere inside. She looked around, her hair slowly falling off her shoulder. The orb to her right started to glow with a soft golden, very much like the sunsets on Courscant. Ahsoka leaned back, a happy but confused expression painting her face.

She then walked to the other pillar, doing the same thing. Two other orbs lit up as she scraped the final one. A loud click echoed in Zola's ears as she turned and saw a piece of the floor elevate. She let a small gasp as she jumped slightly. Ahsoka crumbled the dark sand, which then uncovered a leftover orb in the middle. She brushed it off, then picked it up, inspecting it. "Huyang," she paused, her arm held to her mouth.

"I found it." Zola looked at the golden orb, then up to the open light. "Ahsoka-" She started. "I know." She finished her sentence. The droids voice was drowned out by the comlink being jammed. Zola force jumped out the hole. A red assassin droid stood, facing Zola and now Ahsoka who jumped out shortly after. Zola drew her lightsaber, it's lavender coloring casted a faint glow on her face.

She had fought droids before, some only programmed by Luke. Zola took a deep breath. Assassin droids were harder than normal droids, they were designed to kill, with much more aggressive motions. "Come no closer." Ahsoka raised her white saber, the droid stopped. "The map, give it to us." It spoke. "Us?" She questioned. The two looked to their sides, noticing several other droids in attack mode.

Their spears danced with electricity. Zola's left hand held her lightsaber, it's blade radiating heat down her back as she held it vertically. As one charged at her, she raised it, spinning it forward and hitting its spear. The droid then brought it up to her face. Zola's lightsaber blocked it. She put her right hand out, the force push made the droid fly toward her as she sliced it in half.

Zola looked back, she saw Ahsoka fighting off two others. As she went to help her out, she sensed another droid coming toward her. Zola grunted as the force of its spear took a toll on her, she used all her strength to shudder forward, leaving the droid to stumble. Raising her lightsaber once again, she disarmed the droid. It stood there, dazed and confused before she impaled it through the side.

Three droids crawled out of the hole Ahsoka put them in, one speaking very low. "Initiate self-destruct protocol." With they very sentence, Zola's head snapped to Ahsoka's direction. They both deactivated their lightsabers, "Run!" Ahsoka shouted as they darted through the ruins. Echos of the beeping filled both of their ears. "Where is Huyang?!" Zola shouted, running alongside the togruta.

"I am above your position," His robotic voice spoke through the comlink. "Now." He finished. The ship roared above them. "I shall set down." Huyang added. "No! Keep moving!" Zola shouted into her comlink. "I don't understand." He stated, keeping the ship at a leveled pace. "You will soon enough if you don't keep going!" Zola yelled. "Just keep flying and lower the ramp!" Ahsoka lifted her arm.

As the ramp lowered, Ahsoka jumped first. She turned around to Zola who had her hands gripped onto the ramp edge. Ahsoka wrapped her hand around Zola's, pulling her up and running onto the ship. "Thanks." She let out in a short breath. Zola then looked to the explosion cloud taking over the terrain. She sighed, fluttering her eyelashes shut as she walked into the cockpit. She sat in the back seat. "Welcome back Master Orden." Huyang sung from the front.

"You know, you don't have to call me that, Huyang." Zola had a small smirk on her face. It was true, there was no more Jedi Order. Even if she was a Jedi, she was not a master, so therefore Zola thought she didn't deserve the rank of master. "I know, but it is Jedi-" Huyang was cut off by Ahsoka. "Jedi protocol, yes, we know." She clicked several buttons. "Fulcrum, this is Home One, do you copy, over?" A voice interjected from the coms.

"Come in, Home One, this is Fulcrum, over." Huyang commented. "Copy, incoming transmission, Priority One, there's been an incident.." The fleet command stated. Zola's head perked up at the last sentence. She hoped it was just a couple of pirates, perhaps stealing a small new republic ship from Corelia. Ahsoka sat down, entering coordinates in the ships log and jumping back into hyperspace.

"Where are we going?" Zola stood, hands on the backs of each chair. "To the fleet." Ahsoka answered. It took a few moments for them to jump out of hyperspace. "Come in, Home One, this is T-6 One-Nine-Seven-four on approach, over." Ahsoka put both hands on the controlling levers. Zola looked out the window at one of the ships, which had been badly damaged. Parts were floating around the large ship.

"Copy that, T-6, you are cleared for approach, hangar Two-Nine, over." The voice came in once again. Zola sat down, her eyes not leaving the ship until it was out of view. Ahsoka looked back at her, and they shared a worried look.
