AUTHOR'S NOTE.
May 13, 2020.

Hey guys, I'm here to explain what's happening with this story right now! I just feel a need to throw y'all a bone because I see you guys adding this story to your lists, voting, leaving comments, or mentioning it to other people! I am so, so, so grateful for that support that you don't even know. I appreciate every moment you spend looking at this book or talking about it with me or other people.

It means the world to me, really.

As some of you know, if you've been following my message board announcements, I'm prewriting the entire book before I publish it. It is currently in its Alpha stage with holyatlas and dol-guldur as my Alpha readers. After this stage, we'll be moving into the Beta stage; which I know Nora has already volunteered for, haha.

The reason I'm doing this is because I've never tried out using Alpha / Beta readers before. It's definitely an experience! And they're helping me a lot, honestly. Nora constantly catches things I don't think about and Adele keeps pushing me forward with her enthusiasm for the story and the characters! They both give me wonderful tips, compliments, and suggestions; for which I am extremely grateful, and you (the audience!) should be too!

Please follow holyatlas and dol-guldur if you haven't already. They deserve some love here.

After the Beta stage of the story, I will fix any residual problems I have with the story (basically the Charlie draft) and THEN begin publishing.

I probably won't publish everything all at once. I was thinking of publishing (only when it's finished) on Wednesdays and Fridays. It would be a schedule to follow and something for you guys to look forward to! (:

How does that sound?

I think I'm going to be following suit with my Tyler Rake fic, MERCENARY, which will be coming out next. I've watched that movie four times now and I still love it. I just have to make a good plot and a good character.

Yes, I just shamelessly promoted MERCENARY in my TWD fic. And you know you'll love it.

To make matters better, I'm creating a character for Chris Hemsworth in this book. (: I love him, can you tell?

Anyways, that's what's going on right now! If you have any questions, feel free to let me know and I'll answer them as soon as I can! If you'd like to talk about the book, PM me. If you WANT TO KEEP UP-TO-DATE ON THE BOOK'S PROGRESS, FOLLOW ME AND WATCH MY MSB ANNOUNCEMENTS. You can always unfollow after the book is done, of course. I won't be mad, but I'll be the big sad.

For reading this far down, I'll give you an excerpt from the alpha draft:

CHAPTER FOUR, OFFICER FRIENDLY.

Oh my God, he actually said it.

"Motherfβ€”!"

T-Dog lets out a noise akin to frustration and throws the first punch at Merle who blocks it and the fight is suddenly on. Merle used the butt of the rifle to clock T-Dog under the jaw. He instantly fell back on the ground. Standing behind Merle at this point, Mike steps forward to intervene at the same time as the newcomer does, jumping over the waist-high pipes that ran across the roof. They approached while the others started shouting at Merle.

"Come on!" Andrea pleaded.

"Alright, that's enough!" The deputy from King County raises his voice, reaching out to grab Merle's arm as he cocks it back for another blow.

In an instant, Merle whips around and clocks him with a hard left. The deputy flies back and down to the ground over the pipes, dazed by the blow. Mike tries to land a hit on the redneck next, aiming for Merle's temple when his back is turned but the motherfucker comes back around just as quickly, headbutts him right on his broken nose, and grabs Mike by the front of his red button-down in order to throw him over the pipe.

Mike lands hard on the deputy.

They both let out a pained noise as the sounds of a fight continue behind them. He rolls off of the stranger onto his back, Glenn's shoes coming into the edge of his vision as he scurries over the pipe to try and help to contain Merle. Mike's nose is bleeding profusely again and when he tries to stand, the world turns sideways until he sits completely still. It's so disorienting between the pain, the shouting, and the fighting that Mike has to screw his eyes shut for a moment as he collects his breath.

MIKHAIL NELSON IN "DAYS GONE BYE" IS COMING SOON!

Yeah, y'all read that right. Mike fell on Rick.
