"Here is your large coffee. Have a good night!" Delaney Winchester said to the customer standing in front of her. They gave her a grateful smile and walked out of the little coffee shop they had on the campus. It was the main one in the center so a majority of the student body visited in between their classes or stayed around to use the free wifi and work on their papers or projects. The consistent sound of laptop keys tapping or the laughter and murmur of conversations always seemed to relax Delaney.

Delaney's manager, Lucas Nelson, walked over to tell all the kids sitting at the tables that they had to pack up and go because they were about to close. Delaney watched as the students stuffed their laptops and books back into their bags before exiting out the door, where Lucas shut the door and locked it so that no one else would try to come in and order more coffee.

"I thought this shift would never end," Lucas groaned, walking back over to the counter and tossing the keys underneath it into the safe.

Delaney laughed as she started to wipe down the machines and counters so she could leave. "You say that every day, Lucas. I'm starting to think you hate it here."

"You try working here every semester, every day for four years. I can't wait to graduate so I can get far away from here. This place is starting to make me hate coffee," Lucas complained, taking off his apron and hanging it on the hook by the door that led to the stock room.

"Oh please, you hating coffee is like me hating puppies. Won't ever happen," Delaney teased as she brushed past Lucas so she can toss the dirty rag into the laundry bag where all the other dirty rags were. She had to make a mental note to call the laundry people to pick up the bag tomorrow.

Lucas glanced towards the door and a smirk grew on his face. "Well, if it isn't tall, dark and handsome," he said, nodding his head towards Delaney's boyfriend, Will Anderson, standing in front of the glass door, grinning and waving rapidly at the two.

Delaney smiled back at her boyfriend and gave a small wave, giggling at his antics. She took off her apron and hung it with Lucas'. "Can I go or do you need me to help you with anything?" She asked, feeling bad that Lucas had to do all the work when he already has so much to do in the coffee shop.

"Nah, it's fine. There's not much to do, honestly. Go with your man," Lucas assured her. He gave her a pat on the back before walking into the stock room to do inventory for the morning shift.

Delaney bent under the counter and grabbed her bag and black leather jacket. She pulled her jacket on as she unlocked the door to the coffee house and walked out. She leaned up on her tip toes to kiss Will hello. "Hi, how was practice?" She asked as they began the walk back to her dorm room.

Will took Delaney's hand in his, intertwining their fingers together. "It was tiring. We had a full conditioning and training practice today, which meant suicides until we puked. Beck actually did which made coach realize he was working us too hard and sent us home," he explained. Will was the quaterback for their college's football team. He lead the team the past two years to the championship, where they unfortunately lost but this year he was hoping to get the championship for his team.

"Your day sounds a lot more terrible than mine was," Delaney noted, glancing up at her boyfriend. His black hair was still a little messed up from practice, his football t-shirt clung to his toned arms with sweat stains littering random parts of it from how hard he worked in practice, and his blue eyes were starting to glass over in tiredness.

"It's better now that I have my baby with me," Will said, leaning down to kiss Delaney before opening up the door to Delaney's dorm building. "After you, m'lady."

"Thank you, kind sir," Delaney teased in a formal voice before entering the building. She led the way up the stairs to her room which was on the second floor of the building. Some of the girls smiled and waved to her in greeting, which she returned. Delaney was lucky to be put on a floor where she was friendly with everyone cause she had a class with almost all the girls on her floor.

Will stopped behind Delaney at the door to her room. "I see your roommate is working late again," he commented, noticing the note she had left for Delaney on their whiteboard.

HEY, LANES

MY STUPID MANAGER THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A FUN IDEA TO HAVE ME OF ALL PEOPLE WORK THE LATE NIGHT SHIFT TONIGHT. AS IF I WANT TO DEAL WITH THESE IRRITATING PEOPLE ALL DAMN DAY TILL MIDNIGHT.

DON'T WAIT UP FOR ME & IF YOU AND WILL DO THE BED DANCE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PUT A SOCK ON THE DOOR. I DON'T NEED A REPEAT OF THE LAST TIME!

LOVE YOUR FAVORITE (AND ONLY ROOMMATE)

KATIE PARKER

"She better share her paycheck with me with all this overtime she's getting," Delaney joked, turning to Will with a cheeky smile on her face. "Would you want to come in for a little bit since Katie is gone?"

"You know I would but I really want to go back and shower. I'll come over in the morning and we'll go out to breakfast okay?" Will replied, leaning down to place a soft kiss on Delaney's lips. "I love you, Lane."

"I love you too. See you in the morning," Delaney responded, watching as Will made his way down the hall to the exit. Once he was out of sight, she pulled out her key from her bag and entered. Tossing both the bag and her jacket onto the desk next to her, she jumped when she looked up to see two males in her room.

"Sam? Dean?" Delaney's eyes widened at the sight of her two older brothers. Dean was currently flipping through Delaney's Biology textbook and Sam was sitting on the edge of her bed, looking uncomfortable being in her room without her permission. "How in the holy hell did you even get in here?"

"Oh good to see you too, Della," Dean sarcastically remarked, tossing the book he was flipping through lazily onto Delaney's bed.

Delaney crossed her arms and stared at Dean. Everyone said they could be twins considering they both had their dad's brown hair and green eyes. Sam was the one who got their mom's brown eyes but he shared the same brown hair as his two siblings. "I would be happy to see you if I knew you were coming and if you didn't barge in here without permission. Now I'm glad Will didn't come in here. You both would have just scared him off anyway."

"We got permission," Dean told Delaney, holding up a spare key around his finger and choosing to ignore the comment about Will. "I bumped into your roommate when she was on her way out. Told her it was important we got in here to talk to you and she told us to wait until you got home from work."

Delaney ran a hand through her hair with a sigh. She was going to kill Katie when she saw her next. It's not that Delaney didn't love her brothers because she did more than anything. However, she went away to school so she could get away from her family and all the secrets they seemed to keep from her. They assured her that nothing was being hidden from her and that she was being paranoid but she knew something was up when she would walk into a room and conversations between the boys and their father would cease. It was more her father than her brothers that would keep things from her but she knew even Dean and Sam were hiding important things from her.

"Well, what are you guys doing here anyway?" Delaney asked, deciding to just get to the point.

"Can't two brothers just come to see their favorite baby sister?" Sam finally spoke from his spot on her bed.

Delaney raised an eyebrow at her older brother. "When it comes to you two? No. Especially when you both know about Will and have done random pop ups to make sure we weren't doing anything you didn't want us to do."

"We just get lucky when we happen to show up to see you," Dean countered, innocently smiling at his sister. "We do have something important to talk to you about though. So I'm kind of glad your roommate isn't here to hear. We can just talk in the room."

"Talk about what exactly?" Delaney questioned, feeling both curious and nervous about what he wanted to talk to her about. Dean was almost never serious when it came to her unless it mattered to him or it was important in general. The two were known to either fight with each other like an old married couple or goof off with each other and act like a couple of three year olds. This was one of those times where he was actually serious so she knew something had to have happened. Who else would show up at their sister's dorm room unannounced at seven o'clock at night?

Sam and Dean glanced at each other, having a silent conversation with each other. They seemed to do that a lot and no matter how many times Delaney had seen them do it, she could never guess what they were silently speaking about.

"Is someone going to speak or am I going to have to beat it out of you?" Delaney warned.

"You might want to sit down for this," Sam told her, moving from his spot so she could sit down, which Delaney did.

Dean scratched the back of his neck, not really knowing how to go about this. "Dad's missing. He went on a hunting trip and he hasn't been home in a few days."

Delany rolled her eyes. This is the big thing they had to tell her? They were acting like this didn't happen all the damn time. "Yeah he probably saw one of his hunting buddies and they're probably passed out in a bar. He'll stumble in eventually."

"Delly, he's really missing. None of his buddies have seen him or heard from him in the same amount time as us. They're worried too," Sam explained, fearing how his sister would react when the two would have to tell her what their family business was. He knew she wouldn't believe them when they told her the truth but they needed her to tag along with them. He had to make sure she was safe somehow and this was the only way Dean and Sam could really think of.

"Check the woods. I'm sure you'll find him," Delaney told them, standing up and walking over to her closet where she began shuffling for a change of clothes.

Dean groaned and ran a hand down his face. Why did she always make things difficult when it came to their dad? "Delaney, this is serious okay? Look, there's something Sammy and I have been meaning to tell you for years now. Now that something's happened to Dad, I think it's a good time to tell you."

Delaney spun around to face her brothers, a long sleeve shirt with her school's mascot on the front hanging from her hand. "Oh so you do admit to hiding stuff from me?"

"This one you might not believe but we have to tell you about the family business," Sam began, deciding to tread slowly and lightly so she could see they were being truthful with her.

"What about it?" Delaney asked, not understanding where her brothers were going with this. She was always told she couldn't join the family business because she was a girl. For some reason, Delaney always felt like that was just an excuse so she wouldn't ask about it. Now that she was actually going to find out about what they did, she didn't know what to expect.

Dean glanced at Sam before turning his attention back to Delaney. "We hunt demons," he said, deciding to just rip the bandage off instead of Sam's slow process.

Delaney stared at her brothers for a seconds before busting out into laughter. Demons? Really? If they were going to lie about what their family did, they could at least pick something believable. "You really expect me to believe that? Demons don't exist. If you were going to spit another lie at me, you should give me a believable one. I thought you were better than that, Dee."

"We'll prove it to you," Sam said and before Delaney could get another word in, Sam was dragging her out of the dorm room and towards the stairs. Dean followed behind them, fumbling in his pockets for the Impala keys. He had a basic idea of what Sam was going to do and he was hoping this would get her to believe them.

Once they were stood at the trunk of Dean's Impala, Sam let go of his sister's wrist before opening the trunk which Dean unlocked for him. Inside were two layers of weapons ranging from salt guns to silver daggers. Along with the guns and weapons, was the box full of Dean and Sam's fake IDs - ranging from police and FBI badges to animal control.

"What in the hell..." Delaney whispered as she took in all the weapons her brothers had. Half these weapons definitely were not used to hunt animals. However, she still doubted the prospect of demons. They seriously couldn't be real... could they?

"Look, Dad is missing and you're in danger being alone," Dean slammed the trunk closed, sitting on top of it. "We came here to pick you up."

"You're taking me out of school?" Delaney asked, looking at her brothers with wide eyes.

"Just for now. We want you to come with us where Dad was last working on a case," Sam added.

Delaney looked between her two brothers. She's never seen them this nervous or scared before, which made her want to believe them about this whole family business thing. She didn't know how she felt looking for her father considering they didn't have the greatest relationship with all the lies he threw in her face. However, she wanted to make her brothers happy and at ease so maybe if she did this with them they would feel better.

"So will you come with us?"

Delaney sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "Yeah I'll come I guess."

Dean hopped off the trunk and walked over to Delaney, kissing her forehead. "Thank you, baby girl. Now go pack some clothes and meet us back here okay?"

"Just give me five minutes," Delaney told her brothers before turning on her heel and making her way back into the dorm building. She really hoped she wouldn't regret this.
