epilogue
EPILOGUE: ' QUEEN OF THE SERPENTS '
( hooked on drama )
Lexi walked into the White Wyrm with Toni and Lydia after a very pleasant girls brunch with Cheryl who'd picked the two Serpents apart with her sharp tongue rather than focus on picking apart her food so she could eat it. The Hale thought it was only appropriate for her official girlfriend to meet her two best friends and what better time to do it than a few days after her crazy ass girlfriend burnt down the Blossom family mansion?
"What's this?" Lexi asked looking around in confusion as everyone only seemed to stare back at her, almost as if they had been waiting for her the entire time.
Tall Boy, Sweet Pea and Fangs all stood at the front, smirking at her like she'd just stepped off the bottom layer of Hell and straight into the snake pit. Lexi glanced quickly at the two girls at her side who only gave her suspicious smiles back
"Your initiation, girlie," Tall Boy answered finally and it was then Lexi noticed the spare Serpent jacket in his hands.
A frown graced Lexi's features. "I'm not a serpent."
"You will be," Sweet Pea spoke up, his arms crossed over his chest, stretching the leather sleeves of his own jacket. "Now that FP's gone and got locked up in jail for destruction of evidence in Jason's case, you're either with us or your with your little north side friends."
Many pairs of eyes stared back at her in anticipation, waiting her answer.
She always knew this day would come. FP couldn't protect her forever — and she never even wanted to see his face again after finding out what he'd done for Cliff Blossom. She'd forgive him eventually, maybe, possibly. He'd done it for Jughead after Cliff threatened him, he'd had no other choice. But still, he'd lied to her about her best friend's murder and she was still pissed on the matter.
But she always knew there would come a day when she'd have to choose between her north side friend and her south side ties. Both were rooted too deep for her to actually want to pick one over the other, however it seemed she'd reached a crossroads: there was no other option but to choose which path to take and she had a feeling no matter what she choose, there was going to be a number of people mad at her no matter the answer she gave...
Toby would kill her for joining a "criminal" gang, especially with his line of work revolving around talking half of them out of prison time — he didn't need to be doing the same for her. Lydia would be pissed if she ended up going north side and pretending she'd never even met her and their other serpent friends. Whereas Cole would throw a tantrum if she went and joined sides with the "side south scum" he'd been in regular fights with.
Both options had consequences and in the end, she came to a conclusion she had a feeling Cheryl was going to hate.
Lexi stared at them, wide eyes at the shock of it all before her gaze shifted to the stage. "I'm not dancing on that pole."
"Would you rather get beaten black and blue?" Lydia scoffed before she quickly regretted it at the smack she gained from Toni.
All they got in response was Lexi's trademark shit-eating grin.
