ARIANA SQUEALED AS SHE SAW ZENDAYA AND THE REST ENTER HER DRESSING ROOM. zendaya immediately embraced her in a hug, so did laura and jacob. it became a group hug but without tom.

"hi holland," she said as she turned around to look at herself in the mirror to make sure she was ready to go on.

"hi grande," he said. she grabbed the four tickets along with their backstage passes.

"one for you," she said as she put the backstage pass around jacob's neck and handed him the ticket, "one for you," as she did the same to laura, "one for you," she said to zendaya, she paused when she got to tom, "and one for you, holland," she said as she handed him the ticket and put the pass around his neck.

the boy looked down at his ticket, he looked up and smiled at the girl, she had given him a box ticket. meaning, she had given him the best seat in the stadium. she returned one quickly and then began to usher them out to their spots.

"okay, you must go. i'm on in ten minutes," she said. one by one they all gave her a hug but tom and wished her good luck.

"prove me wrong tonight, grande," tom said to ariana.

"that's exactly what i plan to do," she said flashing him a confident smile.

tom watched as the crowd erupted in applause and screaming when they saw ariana. he laughed as jacob, zendaya, and laura shouted encouraging messages.

"hm," he said as he watched her dance to 'be alright,' "i mean it's not bad," tom said referring to her dancing.

he smiled as she performed 'bad decisions,' "she looks like a total badass right now," he whispered to himself.

"what was that tom?" zendaya yelled over the screaming. tom quickly answered,

"oh—uh nothing," he said.

he watched as she looked overly joyed when singing 'knew better/forever boy,' which jacob told tom was about mac. he smiled, he was glad ariana and mac were in the state they were in now; happy.

he watched as she became suddenly emotional when performing 'leave me lonely.' he turned toward zendaya.

"why is she sad all a sudden?" tom asked her.

"she wrote this song way before you met her, her and mac had broken up a couple days before she wrote this. she found a new boyfriend, but they only dated for a a few months, so this songs reminds her of that time. it was a very dark time for her, she's been through a lot. a lot you don't know about," zendaya said.

tom's eyes suddenly met the floor, he looked back up at the girl who was belting out the lyrics trying her best not to cry.

but her expression instantly changed when she began to sing 'i don't care,' tom smiled as she let everyone know she didn't care what you thought of her. that she loved herself, and that's all the mattered. as she finished the last verse tom shouted,

"that's right!" at the girl. zendaya, laura, and jacob all looked at him in surprise but he just shook it off. ariana looked over at the section they were sitting in, hearing what tom had just shouted.

"buffalo, you look beautiful tonight!" she said as the crowd began to scream, "now please give it up for my band as they finish this beautiful song off," she said. the audience clapped but it quickly quieted down. ariana made her way off the stage for another outfit change, but she quickly turned around,

"oh and holland, thank you," she said into the microphone. the whole stadium screamed and applauded so loud, tom was almost sure he couldn't hear for at least ten seconds. she scurried off the stage and came back on very quickly.

"please join me as i sing one of my favorite songs on dangerous woman," she began, "it's called 'sometimes,'" the crowd immediately began to sing along with her as she smiled.

"this one's about mac," zendaya said to tom. he nodded his head, he figured as it made the girl so smiley and happy. she really did love mac, and nothing could ever change that.

the song ended and ariana began to speak, "i want y'all to have some balloons," she said as numerous pink balloons dropped down onto the stage and crowd. tom laughed as one popped in front of her, scaring the girl.

"buffalo, i want to thank y'all for being here tonight, i love you all so much," she said as she put her hand on her chest, "i also want to thank my beautiful friends, laura, zendaya, and jacob for coming out and supporting me. i love you guys so much and you mean the absolute most to me," she said looking in the direction they were sitting.

"what about tom?" a fan shouted that was in the front row. ariana began to laugh, as did many others in the stadium, including tom.

"holland, thank you for being here and listening to me sing. i know this was very hard for you, as you don't enjoy my music but i hope tonight you at least learned to like one of the songs," she said. after the screaming and applauding settled down she spoke again.

"this next song is called thinking bout you," she said. tom watched as she sat down and sung the lyrics.

"this songs beautiful," he said under his breath.

"i know right," zendaya said, "it's my favorite," she said smiling at the boy. he returned one back, if he had to choose, it was probably his favorite too.

she began to perform dangerous woman, belting out the song. the crowd singing along, knowing every single word. he watched as she blew kisses to the fans and exited the stage, ending the show.

"not bad grande, not bad at all," he said.
