IT WAS 9AM WHEN RUDY went over to maeve's house to wake her up.

"where are we going again?" she mumbles softly as she sits up on her bed

rudy chuckling softly "remember when we were having dinner on your birthday?" he asks. in which maeve nods "you told me you wanted to go down to malibu—

"is this my last birthday present?" she cuts him off excitedly

"yes, so pack your bags, because you and i are going on a weekend vacation" rudy smirks at the girl.

maeve's face brightening. "really?" she smiles

"yes" he chuckles softly

the kiss between the two, didn't make things awkward between them. instead, it confirmed one thing.
they both had feelings for each other.

"rudy oh my goodness" maeve squeals as they pull up to amarillo beach

rudy smiling in awe of the girl beside him smiling like a little kid seeing the ice cream truck.

"common" rudy tapped her thigh signaling them to get off. maeve smiling as she get off.

"i love the beach" she smiles sweetly

"oh i know" rudy smirks as he wraps his hand around her shoulder. maeve smiling as she was looking up at the blue eyes blonde "do you wanna go check out the rental home? and then you could change?" he suggests

"if there's one thing outer banks taught me, it was to always be prepared" she smirks up at him, letting go of his embrace, she goes back to the car, taking off her shirt and shorts to reveal her bikini. rudy chuckling.

as maeve was putting her clothes in the car, she spotted rudy's hoodie in the backseat. not thing he'd mind, she grabbed it and slipped it on, the hoodie come down just up above her knees.

as she shuts the door, rudy turns around a smirk making its way to his lips. "well don't you look cute" he teases

"shut up" she smiles playfully rolling her eyes

"so, i have something i want to tell you" rudy started as they walked along the beach hand in hand

"yeah?" she questions, looking up to his eyes that remind her of the ocean

rudy stops walking, pulling maeve closer to him with their intertwined hands. maeve feeling butterflies every second. rudy looking down to her apple green eyes, using his other hand he caresses her cheek softly. "i like you maeve"

"really?" she questions jokingly

rudy letting out a smile "yeah" he nods softly

maeve looking down to their interwined hands then back at him "then, what are you gonna do about it?" she smirks up at him

"theres only one thing left to do" he mumbles

"what's that?" she asks with a smirk

"make you mine" he whispers before bringing both of his hands to her cheeks and leaning in to kiss her. maeve wrapping her hands around his waist. "be my girlfriend?" he mumbles in between their kiss. pulling away she nods "yes" before kissing him again.

"so you thought this all through huh?" she teases as rudy was showing her the rental apartment, that contained only one bedroom.

"maybe" he smirks

"what if i had said no?" she teases as she walks towards him

"then i guess you would take the couch" he jokingly smirks

maeve lets out a chuckle as she playfully pushes him, rudy grabbing her hand pulling her towards him. hands around her waist, as her hands hang loosely on around his neck. "you're so damn beautiful " rudy whispers. maeve blushes, eyes meeting rudy's ocean eyes. maeve smiling softly and he smiling back. "so beautiful"
