(Y/N) (L/N) was the so called girlfriend of Lain Wallhala. Why am I saying 'so called'? Maybe because the relationship that existed between them was just one sided.
Why you ask? Here's the answer.
Lain loved her only because she was a tsundere girl. But how did she accept the confession if she was a tsundere?
She was supposed to be cold to him as well, right? Well, what attracted her to him in the beginning was the fact that Lain was kind of a tsundere too.
He too was cold and rude to others around him but when he was alone with his pet hedgehog Harry, he was a completely different person
.
This was something that (Y/N) found in common between both of them and so she decided to accept Lain's confession and see what kind of person he would be when he would be with her. And would she herself be like that with him or not?
At first, Lain was like any other new boyfriend. A big sweetheart giving lots of love and attention to (Y/N). He'd take her out every third day and call her or go to her house for a sleepover atleast once every week.
But this wasn't at all what (Y/N) wanted. She still didn't get that 'feeling' of comfort and warmth around Lain. This resulted in her, not being able to open up to him.
As for Lain, all he thought about was,
'I don't see (Y/N) as cute or huggable but since she's a tsundere, she might be of my type.'
Little did he know, the (h/c) haired girl did have a cute side which only the people really really close to her, were aware of.
And he definitely was not in that list.
So, how long will this one sided love last?

Today Lain decided to take (Y/N) to the Raging Bulls and impress her with his training skills because lately, she hasn't really been talking to him.
"Hey love, today I'll take you to the Raging Bulls and show you my training session. I want you to see how strong your boyfriend is."
Lain smiled as (Y/N) turned to him and gave him a cold stare.
"Sure, why not?" She replied rather monotonously but to her disappointment, Lain actually liked this side of her.
The violet haired male extended his hand out to her which she took unwillingly as they headed out of their house.
'Hmph. I don't feel that spark of love when I'm around Lain. He doesn't seem to even want to know that I have a soft side. He just seems to be contented with the cold attitude I show to him. Ugh. I never wanted a relationship like this! I wanted someone who could understand me more and accept me the way I am! But...asides from Lain...will there be anyone who would actually not mind my tsundere side?'
(Y/N) thought as she walked along with Lain. On the other hand, Lain had been thinking about...
'Hm. I like how (n/n) is so cold to me. She's not like a fangirl who would just be clingy. She's different. But still, why don't I feel that spark of love that one should feel in a relationship when I'm around her?'

A short timeskip:
After a while, Lain and (Y/N) were finally at the Raging Bulls and were now headed towards the place where Lain usually trains with his mentor Shu Kurenai.
Being the owner, Shu was already there practicing with his bey, World Spryzen.
"Good morning, Shu."
Lain greeted, taking off his overcoat and setting it aside as Shu looked behind and saw his student and a girl he hadn't seen around before.
"Good morning, Lain. Who's this with you?" Shu asked looking over at the (h/c) haired girl who looked back at him.
"Oh! That's (Y/N) (L/N). She's my girlfriend." Lain said as (Y/N) examined Shu from head to toe.
"Nice to meet you." The albino smiled as (Y/N) replied rather coldly,
"Nice to meet you too."
Shu and Lain took notice of this as Lain quickly defended her,
"She's a tsundere, by the way."
This made Shu nod in understanding before he said,
"Now, let's start today's training session."
"Yeah sure."
Lain said and took out Lucifer as both of them got in their launching stances.
"3"
"2"
"1"
"LET IT RIP!!!"
And the two beys spun around the stadium, clashing and colliding against each other.
As for the girl who was watching the battle from the sidelines, she had the following thoughts,
'That albino head Shu. He seems like a nice guy to me. I can tell by our first meet that he's a polite, respectful and gentle person. I felt something when our eyes met. It felt good. I wonder what it was.'
"GO SPRYZEN!"
*Clank*
The sound of a bey bursting snapped (Y/N) out of her train of thoughts. She turned her eyes towards the stadium only to see Lucifer burst in pieces.
"And Shu is the winner with a score of 2-0!" The robotic vocal refree announced.
"That was a great battle, Lain." Shu smiled even though his student had lost.
"Yeah, thanks." Lain said sounding upset because he lost in front of his girlfriend.
But (Y/N) wasn't in the least bit interested that her boyfriend has lost, in fact she was more focused on Shu's demeanor at the moment.
'Even though he won, he's still so humble.' (Y/N) thought and smiled. Then she walked up to the duo with a straight face. (Because she's a tsundere)
"Hey (n/n), sorry I lost." Lain said.
"It's fine." The girl responded cold as usual.
"Let's go home now. You must be tired." Lain said as he tried to put an arm around her shoulder only to get in slapped off.
"I'm not tired. We can go home if you want to." She said and walked off.
Shu who was standing there took notice of her behaviour and wondered,
'It looks like she didn't want to be touched by Lain. But why though? He's her boyfriend. It looked like Lain showed her his affection but she didn't seem to like it and thus slapped his hand off. Could it be that she's only forcing herself to love him?'
As he was lost in these thoughts, he didn't notice that (Y/N) and Lain had already left.

For the next few days, Shu kept a close watch on the behaviour of (Y/N) and Lain. He noticed how Lain was the clingy one and would stick to the girl only when her attitude was cold.
This began to make him think,
Their relationship is truly one sided. Maybe (Y/N) wants to break up with Lain but just doesn't know how.
He also thought,
'Well, maybe I could ask her to be my girlfriend after she breaks up with Lain? And I'll treat her better than Lain does without caring whether she is a tsundere or not.'

It was yet another day of training for Lain and he had once more brought (Y/N) along with him.
As usual, she was sitting utterly bored watching Shu and his student train from the sidelines.
After the training session, Lain went to give a kiss on his girlfriend's cheeks, much to her dislike.
'It's now or never, Shu Kurenai! I've waited a long time to help (Y/N) get out of that one sided relationship of hers and everyday seeing her avoid Lain and him not having the slightest inkling of it is getting unbearable to watch. I need to do something right now!'
Shu thought as he made a plan of how to get (Y/N) say to Lain that she doesn't like him before the so-called couple left the arena.
"Lain! (Y/N)!" The albino called out as they both turned to look at him.
"What is it Shu?" The violet haired male asked.
"I've been wondering on this question for the past few days. How much do you two love each other if asked to give the answer in percentage?"
He asked as (Y/N) raised an eyebrow while Lain retorted,
"Where'd this question suddenly come from Shu?"
"It's just a casual question. And I really want to know your answers."
"Well, since everyone says ladies first...(Y/N) you go first." Lain offered.
"If asked on a percentage scale, I would say I love you upto 3.5%."
The girl replied straightforward making Shu smile internally that he was right about his theories whereas Lain's jawdropped hearing her answer.
"What the hell?! You're my girlfriend! You were supposed to say 95% or 97%!"
"I don't really love you Lain. This relationship won't work out." She said coldly as Lain sighed.
"Well to be honest, if I was to answer...my answer would've been 23% or maybe 25% too. So, guess I really can't blame you."
"So, this is a mutual breakup?"
"Yeah. I still hope we can be friends though."
"Of course, we can be."
"Well, then. It was nice having you around (Y/N) (L/N). And gotta say, I really love that tsundere side of yours for some reason."
Lain said as he grabbed his coat and left.
'Well, atleast now I wouldn't have to worry about seeing (Y/N)'s discontented face everyday.'
Shu thought and smiled as him and (Y/N) were the only ones left in the training arena. He thought that the (h/c) haired tsundere would also go home but much to his surprise she turned to face him with a surprisingly soft look on her face.
"Thank you for helping me." She muttered with a soft smile.
"It wasn't a big deal. Though I was unsure whether I was right or wrong about the conclusion I had for you and Lain. But you proved me right." The albino replied.
"Do you want to be my boyfriend?" She asked as Shu was taken aback.
"Wait me? Really? Just after you've had a breakup?"
He asked in disbelief, making the girl chuckle.
"Yes, you. I feel that spark of love around you which I thought I would feel with Lain." She explained.
"Well. Not gonna lie, but I feel something around you as well. Though I'm not quite sure whether it's love or just mere attraction."
"It's love." She said simply.
"And how will you prove it?" Shu asked raising an eyebrow.
"By being in a relationship with you dummy." She laughed.
"Oh? Then that means we're official now?"
"No, we're unofficial you moron! Of course we are official!"
Shu laughed as (Y/N) asked,
"What's so funny?"
"I can't wait to see Lain's reaction when we'll tell him that you're with me."
"He's gonna be so flabbergasted." The (h/c) haired girl said and chuckled.
Suddenly Shu put an arm around her waist and pulled her close to himself as she looked at him with a questioning gaze.
Shu pecked her forehead and cheeks and then said,
"Don't worry, I'll take it slow."
(Y/N) nodded, "Yeah, that's how I want it to be and..."
"And?" Shu questioned.
"Thank you for accepting me the way I am."
"Of course because I love you." Shu smiled.
"Well, it's pretty soon to say this since we just became a couple but..."
She finished,"...I love you too Shu."
BONUS:
"WHAT?!" Lain's jawdropped.
"So, now I'm officially an ex-boyfriend?"
Shu and (Y/N) nodded as they both burst out laughing at Lain's face.
And guess the funny part?
Harry was laughing at it's owner as well.
