In the Kurenai bedroom:

A certain (h/c) haired girl had just stepped out of the bathroom with a smile of pure joy on her face. She walked towards the big king-size bed and flopped down on it as she happily squealed to herself,

"I can't believe it! I'm pregnant! I'm pregnant! Ahh! I can't wait to tell Shu! He'd be so happy!"

As THE blading legend Shu Kurenai's wife, (Y/N) always made sure that she gave everything the albino wanted because the crimson-eyed blader never stopped spoiling her with gifts and love.

The one time (Y/N) insisted on giving something to Shu, he asked for a baby which at first made the (h/c) haired girl turn into a fresh tomato but after giving it a thought, she'd agreed.

And now, here she was. After spending quality time together with Shu and taking a pregnancy test, her happiness knew no bounds as soon as she saw the positive report.

All she had to do now was wait until her husband came back from work and then she would give him the surprise.

At night:

"I'm home!"

Shu announced as he stepped into the house and closed the door behind him. As usual, his (e/c) eyed beautiful wife came running up to him and helped him take off his coat before taking his bag and giving him his usual 'welcome home' kiss.

"Dinner or bath?"

"I guess, I'm gonna bath first."

"Alrighty!"

The albino chuckled before ruffling her hair and giving her a peck as he then went upstairs to have a bath.

(Y/N) smiled as she watched him go before heading towards his study room to keep back his bag and coat.

As she hung his coat on the hanger, she couldn't help but sense a faint scent of perfume from it. And it wasn't the scent of Shu's perfume. Neither was it hers.

Raising an eyebrow, she brought it closer to her nostrils and sniffed it, concluding it to be the scent of women's perfume.

'Maybe...he was hugged by a woman. Probably...some businesswoman or a blader. I'll ask him about this.'

The girl thought as she put the coat in its place before going into the kitchen, to serve the dinner.

After a while, Shu came downstairs with slightly wet hair as he walked into the kitchen, sniffing in the food's delicious smell.

"Mmm~ The food tonight looks and smells delicious."

He complimented as he sat down and she did too, on the chair in front of his as both of them started to eat.

"Hey, Shu."

(Y/N) called out softly as she looked at him who paused and looked at her.

"Hmm? Yes?"

"Were you...hugged by a woman today?"

The (h/c) haired girl asked in a quiet voice as Shu's eyes widened slightly at first before he regained his composure and said,

"Well, yes. It was one of my business partners. Why do you ask though?"

"Oh. Nothing. I just wanted to know...because your coat had the scent of her perfume."

"Oh, I see."

With that Shu turned his attention back to the food and continued to eat away. He didn't notice the frown on his wife's face or the way her hair suddenly fell over her eyes.

(Y/N) didn't like the casual way in which Shu gave her the answer. How could he be so lenient about another woman hugging him?

Had it been her in place of him and another guy hugging her, Shu would've punched him in the face already. Did he not realise that his wife could also feel the same way?

'I guess...I'm gonna...tell him the news of my pregnancy...later.'

The (h/c) haired girl thought gloomily as she finished her food. It wasn't long before the albino finished eating his as well and they both went to sleep after she'd washed the dishes.

The next evening:

After Shu went to have a bath again, (Y/N) went to his study room and sniffed his coat again. There was the same perfume scent again.

'Was he hugged by the same woman again?'

The (h/c) haired girl thought as she decided to examine his coat carefully. As she reached the pocket and took out the albino's handkerchief, her eyes widened when she saw that her husband's white handkerchief had a red lipstick mark (💋) on it.

'What the hell?! Is Shu cheating on me or something?! I'm gonna find out!'

(Y/N) thought as her shoulders and arms shook in anger and tears pooled up in her (e/c) eyes. She hadn't expected Shu to be this type of person. Was she not enough for him?

She kept her anger in control and decided not to confront Shu about it again. Maybe he'd repeat the same answer as yesterday. The (h/c) haired girl decided to go to Raging Bulls and find out for herself.

Next morning:
Raging Bulls:

'Let's see. I believe this is the way to the training room.'

(Y/N) thought as she walked to the door that she supposed lead to the training room. As she opened the door, she was right. It was indeed a training room that had several training equipments inside.

Looking around, her eyes widened when she noticed that two people were standing in the corner. One of them was undoubtedly, Shu. The other person was a girl who had blonde hair.

The (h/c) haired girl quickly went to have a closer look as she hid behind one of the equipments and tried to hear their conversation.

Both of them had their backs faced towards her and they were talking in a hushed barely audible voice.

Suddenly, the blonde girl hugged Shu's arm as she clung to him. But what shocked (Y/N) was the fact that Shu didn't even try to push her away.

His eyes were covered by his hair but when the (e/c) eyes of the girl fell on his lips, she saw that he was...smiling.

'So...he was cheating on me all this time, wasn't he?'

She thought as a few tears rolled down her eyes and she didn't bother to stay and see any further. She quietly walked out of there and went straight home.

At evening:

"(Y/N)! I'm home!"

The albino called out as he walked inside the house but didn't get any response. The house...was also unusually silent and most of the lights were switched off.

'Is she sleeping?'

He thought as he went to the bedroom, switching on the lights along the way but couldn't find (Y/N) anywhere.

"Where did she go?"

Shu mumbled to himself as he took out his phone and checked if he had any messages or missed calls from his wife. But there weren't any.

He then turned around to leave the bedroom but then his gaze fell on a folded piece of paper on the bedside counter.

"Hmm?"

He reached out to pick it up before unfolding it and starting to read it.

Shu's crimson eyes widened in shock as his hands began to tremble and he felt his blood run cold.

'Left America? Not a good wife? Divorce?! What's the meaning of all this?!'

A thousand questions were racing through his head as he clutched the letter in his fist and ran straight to the study.

There were indeed a bunch of papers on his desk. As he walked closer and picked them up, tears streamed down his eyes as he found (Y/N)'s signature on them.

"Why...just why...(Y/N)? I'll find you...I promise...I'll find you and we'll meet again..."

4 years later:

It had been 4 years since (Y/N) disappeared. Shu knew that she must've come back to Japan but the question was where exactly? He checked her apartment, her parents' house, her friends' house but she was nowhere to be found.

When the albino had told his friends about this, they were equally shocked and agreed to help him search for her at once.

After the Ultimate Tag Battle Tournament was over, all the bladers stayed back in Japan and continued to search for her. Even Lui Shirosagi stayed back.

But there was no sign of her. It was as if she'd completely disappeared from the face of the earth.

It was yet another day when Shu had been searching for her whereabouts. As he was walking by the park near her house, he was thinking,

'Oh (n/n), just where did you go?'

Suddenly, his gaze fell on a familiar figure who was standing by an ice cream stall. It was a very young boy who had white hair and a hairstyle similar to his.

From what the crimson-eyed blader observed, he seemed to be around the age of Toko and Nika when they were young. He couldn't see his eyes as the boy was standing with his back towards him.

Curious about the boy, Shu made his way up to him only to find him looking intently at the ice cream menu. It looked like he wanted one.

"Hey."

Shu called out and the boy turned to look at him. The blading legend couldn't have been more shocked. The boy looked...entirely like him from head to toe but the only difference was that he had (e/c) eyes instead of crimson eyes.

'By any chance, is he...?'

"Yes?"

The boy asked in a soft tone as he looked at him and tilted his head. Shu just smiled before bending down to his level and asking,

"Do you want that ice cream?"

And he pointed to one of the chocolate ones from the menu. He chuckled when he saw how excitedly the boy's eyes shone as he quickly responded,

"Yes! Yes! I want it!"

"I'll get it for you then."

"Wow!!!"

The boy cheered as he had a '(⁠☆⁠▽⁠☆⁠)' expression on his face while both he and Shu were sitting on one of the benches in the park. He looked at Shu and said excitedly,

"Thank you very much, nice brother!"

"You're welcome. May I ask your name?"

"My name is (Son's Name). (S/N) (L/N)."

(S/N) responded as he started to eat the ice cream and Shu looked a little surprised as he thought,

'That's the same last name...'

"What's the name of your mom?"

"My mom? Her name is (Y/N)."

As soon as he said the name, Shu's crimson eyes were wide open and his jaw dropped.

'So...this is her son? Has she...married someone else...?'

The blader thought as his hair cast a shadow over his eyes while he looked at (S/N) who was happily eating away his chocolate ice cream. Shu decided to muster up the courage and ask,

"Who's your dad?"

"I don't have a dad."

"Huh?"

"Mom refuses to talk about dad every time I ask her. But I know that my dad is a handsome man because mom says that I take after him in looks."

(S/N) said proudly as he did a hair flip that Shu at once knew, he had gotten from him. A small smile formed on his face as he was relieved to know that this boy was his son and he had finally found his wife.

"Would you...mind taking me to your house then?"

"But mom says that I should never tell strangers where I live."

(S/N) said as he looked at him and Shu just sweatdropped before ruffling the little boy's hair.

"If that's the case, then I'm sure she must've also taught you not to eat anything offered by strangers, right?"

"Yes, but you brought this in front of my eyes and this ice cream was also fresh so there's nothing wrong with it. That means I can eat it without any worries."

The little boy said and Shu just sweatdropped even more as he thought,

'He thinks he's smart, doesn't he?'

"Well then. If you don't take me to your house then give me the ice cream back."

"But it's in my tummy now."

"Then take it out of your tummy."

The crimson-eyed blader mischievously said as he messed around with him until (S/N) gave up and agreed to take him to his house. On the way, Shu came to know that he was 3 and a half years old.

A short timeskip:

"This is my house. Mom and I live with grandpa and grandma."

(S/N) said as he pointed to the house that from the looks of it, was an ancestral one.

'This is why...I couldn't find her all this time.'

Shu thought as (S/N) held his finger and took him inside. As soon as he closed the door, he heard a very familiar voice,

"(S/N)?! Are you home? Where did you-"

A familiar (h/c) haired girl came running to the main door but stopped in her tracks and sentence as soon as she saw that her son wasn't alone.

"(Y/N)..."

"Shu..."

Both of them said at the same time as (S/N)'s eyes darted back and forth between them and (Y/N) took a few steps back.

"What...are you doing here...?"

She asked in a quiet voice as she looked away and the albino, without having a second thought, ran up to her and engulfed her in a tight hug, catching her by surprise.

"I've been looking for you..."

"W-we shouldn't-"

The (h/c) haired girl tried to push him away which made him surprised as he looked at her, without letting her go.

"Why?"

"A-aren't you with s-someone else a-already?"

"Huh? What are you talking about, (n/n)?"

Shu asked as he blinked in confusion before (Y/N) began to explain to him everything she'd seen on that day 4 years ago. (S/N) also listened intently as he began to understand why his mom never mentioned his dad.

At the end of her explanation, the albino let out a soft laugh as he patted her head and then pecked her forehead, making her confused.

"Oh, (n/n). My stupid girl..."

"Huh?"

"The girl you saw that day was one of my friends. I was asking her for advice on what I should get you for your birthday. And the day you saw her, she'd already been married and she's the mother of two baby boys."

He explained which made (Y/N) immediately realise what she'd done. It was now that she began to regret acting on impulse and signing the divorce in haste.

"You know...sometimes things aren't what they look like and-"

Before Shu could finish she pounced on him, hugging him tightly as she broke down into tears and began to apologise non-stop,

"I-I'm s-so s-sorry S-Shu... I-I'm s-so s-sorry....I-it's all m-my fault...I-I wanted t-to tell you a-about my pregnancy t-that day only b-but due t-to m-my misunderstanding...I-I d-didn't say anything....p-please f-forgive m-me..."

The blader smiled as he patted her back before returning the hug and saying,

"It's alright, (Y/N). I never gave you a divorce. You're still my wife. And I want you and (S/N) to come back and live with me. We've already been separated for so long. I can't bear the thought of being away from my family for any longer now."

"Y-yes. Y-yes, we will S-Shu. W-we will go back with you."

(Y/N) sniffled as Shu proceeded to wipe her tears before gently kissing her on the lips. It had been years since they'd felt each other's touch and without any hesitation, the girl returned the kiss.

They would've done much more than just a kiss had it not been for (S/N)'s cute voice calling out to (Y/N).

"Mom?"

Hearing this, the girl quickly pulled away as she blushed in embarrassment before turning her (e/c) eyes towards her son and responding,

"Y-yes sweetie?"

"Does that mean that this nice big brother is my daddy?"

"Yes, I'm your dad."

Shu responded with a smile as the little version of him jumped happily before joining in the hug and exclaiming,

"This is my lucky day! Now I also have a dad!"

Both (Y/N) and Shu smiled at their son's cuteness as they leaned their foreheads against each other's before patting his back lovingly.

BONUS:
1 year later:

Since (Y/N) had come back, Shu had been extra clingy and very protective of her. He barely let her out of his sight as he constantly gave her cuddles, kisses and that.

This made (S/N) feel left out as he thought that his dad was probably trying to steal his mom away from him.

One day when Shu was cuddling with his wife in their bedroom, (S/N) barged in and called out,

"Mom! Dad!"

"What's the matter, (S/N)?"

The (h/c) haired girl asked as she sat up only to be pulled back down in the bed by a clingy albino.

"Give me a sister!"

"Huh?"

A blush ran across (Y/N)'s cheeks and a smirk formed on Shu's face as the girl asked,

"Where did the sudden demand come from?"

"You are always spending time with dad! You don't play with me anymore! So give me a baby sister! I'll play with her and won't feel lonely anymore!"

(S/N) demanded with a huge pout which made the albino in the bed chuckle. Before (Y/N) could say anything, he responded,

"Alright then. Mom and dad will work on it tonight itself. Sounds good?"

"You promise?"

"Promise."

Shu promised as he looked at (Y/N) who was blushing furiously from the corner of his eye. And she could've sworn she saw that naughty glint in his eyes.

"Good! You better not do anything else tonight then! Hmph!"

(S/N) said as he walked out and closed the door behind him. Leaving his poor mom alone with a dangerous monster inside.
