Third person's P.O.V.

"It's seriously so uncomfortable!"

Valt whined as he pulled at the collar of his shirt. The albino beside him sweatdropped as his awkward smile was covered by the mask he was wearing.

"I still don't understand why you wanted both of us to come with you."

Shu said as he placed his hand on top of the blunette's cap to prevent him from taking it off and looked at the masked girl walking in front of them.

"Because..."

The (h/c) haired girl began as she turned around to face both the bladers behind her.

"...it's a limited edition sale! And one person gets only one keychain!"

She squealed out in excitement, making both the boys sweatdrop at her. Valt groaned as he asked,

"What in the world are you going to do with three keychains?! Won't one do?"

"Nope! Absolutely not! I need at least three! One for my phone, one for my beybelt and one for my bag!"

(Y/N) answered as she puffed up her cheeks. Valt's eyebrow twitched, and Shu just looked on with an awkward smile on his face as the blunette whined,

"And why do the three of us have to dress and walk around like thieves instead of normal people? I mean, I've never dressed up this much just to go to a place like a shopping mall!"

"The answer is right there, Valt."

The albino spoke as he made his friend face the entire shopping mall from the spot where they were standing.

Half of the advertisement posters there were of Beyblade. Several people were busy clicking selfies and photos with the posters of the legendary beybladers - Valt Aoi, Shu Kurenai, (Y/N) (L/N), Lui Shirosagi, Free de la Hoya, Aiger Akabane, etc.

"Just imagine the reaction of these people when they'll come to know that the bladers from those posters are actually walking around here."

Shu said as he patted his best friend's shoulder once. The wonder boy huffed before looking over at the (h/c) haired girl and asking,

"Then why can't we just go to another place where fewer people know us?"

"Because the keyrings I want are available only in the store of this shopping mall!"

(Y/N) said, emphasizing the word 'only', making the blunette groan again.

"I'll treat both of you to lunch after this. I promise!"

"It better be a good restaurant then!"

Valt grumbled before stomping ahead, making the (h/c) haired girl and the albino chuckle before following him.

A short timeskip:

"Just look at that line! Do you think we'll be able to get the keyrings before they're all sold out?!"

The wonder boy asked, his jaw-dropping at the long line that was extending all the way out of the store as Shu sweatdropped and asked,

"Are these many people seriously here for...keyrings?"

"Because it's a limited edition! If you don't get it now, you won't get it ever again!"

The (h/c) haired girl squealed before grabbing both the boys by their hands and dragging them to join the line.

While they were waiting in the line, Valt elbowed Shu, who was standing in the middle of the blunette and the (h/c) haired girl, getting his attention.

"Say Shu..."

The wonder boy whispered in a low tone as the crimson-eyed albino leaned in closer to listen properly.

"...when are you going to confess to (Y/N)?"

Valt asked as he wiggled his eyebrows in a teasing manner, causing his best friend's cheeks to turn red before he whsiper-yelled,

"Valt! I told you not to bring that up when (Y/N) is around!"

"Not bring what up?"

The soft voice of the (h/c) haired girl made both the bladers' eyes widen as they looked to see (Y/N) leaning near them with her ear close, trying to listen in.

"N-nothing!"

Valt quickly raised his hands up in defense, making (Y/N) narrow her eyes as she asked,

"You sure?"

Shu quickly took over the situation as he interrupted and said,

"I was just telling him not to bring up food during training sessions!"

"Oh? Okay."

(Y/N) looked confused for a moment before she turned her attention back to the front of the line, much to the relief of both the beybladers.

An hour later:

"Finally, it's over..."

Valt said as he sighed heavily and sat down on one of the benches outside a fast food restaurant in the mall.

His albino friend, sweatdropped a little as Valt looked like he'd just been denied his favorite beybread. His crimson eyes then flickered over to the (h/c) haired girl who was squealing and jumping in happiness at an arm and half's length distance from the boys.

"Finally, I got these! I'm so so so happy! I've got these! They're so beautiful!"

"She looks so happy..."

Shu said, looking at her with a tired smile as Valt also shifted his gaze to the girl and said,

"You're right, but that star-shaped one looks so heavy."

"I'm not gonna disagree on that."

The albino nodded as the blunette stood up and stretched his arms a little before saying,

"Well then...let's go grab something to eat. I'm starving."

"Yeah, let's go."

Shu nodded as they both went up to (Y/N), who agreed as well before taking her friends to a restaurant as she'd promised.

A short timeskip:

"This place looks good."

Shu said as he looked around and (Y/N) smiled as she responded,

"I know, right? And it's not crowded right now, so we can eat in peace."

"Let's order something already...I'm starving."

The wonder boy whined as he rubbed his stomach, earning a chuckle from his friends.

"Same old Valt. Let's have a seat and give our orders then."

The (h/c) haired girl said as she gestured for them to seat themselves on one of the tables.

After giving their orders, the three beybladers took off their caps and masks as they began talking about random topics to pass the time.

Just then, a group of five young girls entered the restaurant, looking for a nice place to sit. One of them spotted the trio of legends sitting at a corner table and almost immediately squealed,

"Look!! It's the legendary beybladers!!"

Hearing that, all her friends let out gasps and squeals of surprise before rushing over to their table with their phones in hand.

"Uh-oh..."

Valt sweatdropped as they were surrounded by the fangirls, looking over at (Y/N) who shared the same look of 'what should we do now?' with him.

"Calm down, everyone."

Shu's calm yet deep voice resulted in immediate silence from the girls as they stared at him with sparkling eyes. He just gave them a closed eye smile and put a finger to his lips as he said,

"You can take all the pictures you want with us. Just don't post them or let anyone else know that we're here, yeah?"

The young girls nodded quickly as one of them asked,

"Can we get photos with you and your beyblades?"

"Sure you can. Just give us a few minutes."

The albino responded calmly as they moved away from their table, giving them space.

"You handled that so perfectly, Shu."

(Y/N) said as she glanced at the girls who were discussing the various poses for their photographs with them.

"Yeah, it would've been a disaster if they posted our location online. We would've had to get out of here with empty stomaches."

Valt said, scratching his cheek with a nervous smile as the three of them stood up and went over to entertain their fans.

After getting plenty of pictures clicked with the girls, the trio came back and sat down on their table as the girls gathered near them again.

"Mr. Shu, is it true that you have a girlfriend?"

One of them asked, making Valt near choke on the water he was drinking, Shu's cheek redden and (Y/N) let out a surprised gasp as she turned her (e/c) eyes to him.

"Where is that question coming from?"

"From the rumors online! Many people say that - The lengendary beybladers Shu Kurenai and (Y/N) (L/N) make an excellent power couple!"

Another one answered, causing the (h/c) haired girl to blush too as Valt snickered before asking,

"Can I see the posts about these rumors?"

The girl nodded before showing the online posts to the wonder boy whose eyes widened slightly before he looked over at his two friends and said,

"Well...it looks like you two are a popular ship."

(Y/N) opened her mouth to speak, but before she could say anything, the girl who asked the question repeated it,

"We wanna know if the rumors are true!"

"Yeah! Me too! I have a big sister who keeps saying that Shu Kurenai is still single, and I keep insisting that he has (Y/N) (L/N) as his girlfriend!"

Another one added as all the fangirls, including Valt, looked at Shu with their eyes sparkling with hope.

The albino sweatdropped, not knowing what to say as his gaze flickered over to the girl sitting beside him as he silently tried to read her expression before giving his answer.

He could see the curiosity and nervousness in her eyes as she quietly waited for him to answer the question that had been thrown at him.

'If I say that (Y/N) is not my girlfriend, the situation will become even more complex. If I say that she is, I might risk ruining my friendship with her. What should I say?!'

The crimson-eyed albino thought as he took a deep breath, trying to formulate a proper answer in his head.

Just then, he felt something cold and metallic brush past his gloved hand under the table.

'What...?'

He raised an eyebrow as he leaned back and subtly glanced at his hand, a little surprised to see (Y/N)'s hand holding out a...keyring to him?

The albino looked up at her face, her expression telling him to play along. Despite being confused, he took the keyring and was about to speak, but (Y/N) spoke first,

"The rumors are true! He really is my boyfriend!"

Hearing that, the girls' eyes sparkled in excitement and Valt's jaw hung open as he looked at Shu with wide eyes and a look that said - 'When did this happen and why didn't you tell me?!'

The albino only sweatdropped, deciding on letting the (h/c) haired girl beside him do the talking.

"Really? Can we get a picture of you two kissing then?"

One of them asked bluntly, causing heat to rush up to both the bladers' cheeks as they were stared at with anticipation.

"Hey now, this is a restaurant. It's not appropriate to do things like that here."

(Y/N) said, earning sulking looks from their young fans. She quickly raised her hands in front of herself before saying,

"But that doesn't mean there aren't other ways to prove that we're a couple! We've got matching keyrings! Look!"

The (h/c) haired girl said, quickly pulling out her keyring along with pulling Shu's hand out to show the one in his hand as well.

The albino's eyes widened, but before he could say anything, the girls began squealing and taking their pictures, even going so far as to set their hands and the keyrings together in a few poses.

After they left:

"So..."

Valt began as he turned to face his two friends, crossing his arms.

"...since when did you two start dating?"

He asked, raising an eyebrow. Shu and (Y/N) exchanged glances before looking at the wonder boy with nervous smiles of their own as the (h/c) haired girl scratched her cheek before speaking,

"Well...to be honest, we aren't...yet."

She mumbled the last word to herself as Valt raised his eyebrows and asked,

"Then why did you guys lie?"

"...well uh, we didn't want to complicate the situation..."

(Y/N) answered sheepishly as she looked over at Shu, only to find him already looking at her.

"But now that we did that...those girls are probably gonna spread the news around, and it wouldn't take long for it to be all over social media."

The albino said thoughtfully, crossing his arms, and the blunette rested his face against his palm and asked,

"So...what are you gonna do about it now?"

"There are two solutions. One is...we post it online that we're not in a relationship and face a few or more than a few angry fans. Second is...we should actually start dating."

Shu responded, glancing over at (Y/N), the subtle red on her cheeks not going unnoticed by his ever observant eyes.

"We could go with the latter...if...you're alright with it...Shu."

The (h/c) haired girl said quietly after a minute as she stared at her lap, earning a surprised look from Valt but not from Shu.

"Sure. I'd much rather spend time with you than face some mad fans."

The albino said, moving his hand towards hers, which clutched the keychain, letting the two matching pairs attach with a soft 'clink'.

'Unexpected yet pretty smooth. Good for you two.'

Valt thought as he crossed his arms and smiled, watching his two friends in front of him - (Y/N) giving a shy smile to Shu, who returned it with one of his own.

After that day, both Shu and (Y/N) kept the keychains hanging by the covers of their phones, earning light-hearted teasing and giggles from their friends every time they took them out.
