Tysm for your request. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I put Season 2 in the title as Post-Evolution refers to the Turbo timeline but since it's before he becomes the owner of Bulls, it'll be considered in Evolution's timeline.

Alright now on with the story!

In the beypark:
Third person or No one's P.O.V.

"Shu, are you alright?"

A/an (h/c) haired girl asked as she handed her albino friend the drink she'd just bought from the nearby vending machine.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little...out of breath."

The crimson-eyed albino answered as he took a deep breath before opening the juice can and drinking from it.

"You sure? You used to do double of what we've done today."

(Y/N) said crossing her arms over her chest as she watched him finish the drink.

"It might be because I'm still recovering."

Shu responded, glancing at his bandaged arm before looking back at his friend with a light smile. But it isn't so easy to deceive a friend when they've been with one since childhood.

"Liar. Tell me what's really wrong."

The (h/c) haired girl said as she leaned closer to his face with a serious expression on her face.

The Spryzen blader let out a soft sigh and scratched his cheek as he thought of the words he should use to describe the problem.

"Let's sit down somewhere first."

He said avoiding eye contact with her, making (Y/N) raise an eyebrow as she nodded and grabbed his wrist before dragging him to a nearby bench.

Fortunately, it was still very early so not many people were around. As the duo sat down, Shu clasped his hands together and had his head hung down, allowing his hair to cover his face.

The (e/c) eyes of the girl were fixated on the albino but she remained silent, giving him the time to get comfortable and then tell her the problem.

"I've been...having a lot of nightmares lately..."

"Nightmares? About what?"

"A-about the Red Eye incident."

(Y/N) opened her mouth and was about to say that it'd been a month since that incident but seeing the sweat beads of discomfort on the crimson-eyed albino's face, she pursed her lips shut and decided to let him continue.

"A week after the championship battle was over, these nightmares started. Almost every night, I dream of the evil me who calls himself Red Eye. Sometimes he threatens to take over and destroy me while other times I see myself wearing that Red Eye outfit and all of my friends telling me they'd never forgive me for what I've done..."

"Shu..."

"Sometimes the nightmares get scary to the point I wake up with a scream. And once I wake up...it's hard to fall back asleep. Somehow...when I wake up, instead of feeling a little relaxed than before, I find my body even more exhausted than it was before sleeping."

The albino finished as he looked at the (e/c) eyes of the girl and it was then that she noticed the thin dark circles that were under his eyes.

"Did you try speaking with a doctor about this?"

"I did. When I went for my arm's check up, I told the doctor about this. He told me that this might be some of the side effects of the experiments I went through during the Requiem project and that they'll eventually go away with time."

"I see."

(Y/N) nodded in understanding as she thought for a moment.

'Maybe the doctor's right. But this still doesn't properly explain his tiredness when he wakes up...'

"Hey, Shu."

"Yeah?"

"If I have a sleepover at your house then...would that help you feel better?"

"Huh? What're you trying to say?"

Shu asked, blinking in confusion as the girl explained,

"Come to think of it, you've always lived alone. Maybe if another person stays with you then you might not have that much difficulty in falling back asleep after waking up from a nightmare?"

"Maybe...you're right."

"Then how about we try it out tonight?"

(Y/N) suggested as the albino's eyes widened slightly at the thought of sleeping with his childhood crush in his apartment. Just the two of them.

(And their beyblades. ๐Ÿคซ)

"Hmm...alright. I'll get the guest room ready."

"Ah no, I won't be sleeping in the guest room."

The girl said quickly, making the albino look at her with a questioning look.

"But why-"

"Because if I sleep in the guest room then you'd still be alone in the bedroom and I won't be able to figure out what makes you tired when you wake up from your nightmares. Kinda defeating the purpose of the whole thing."

"I-I see."

That was all Shu could manage to say because again, she had a good point. However, he couldn't help but feel his cheeks heat up at the thought of sleeping in the same room as her.

"Alrighty then! See you at night!"

(Y/N) said, clapping her hands gleefully before she stood up and jogged away, waving at him as she did so.

The albino waved back at her, his cheeks still a light red as watched her exit the park before he also got up to go back to his apartment and make preparations for the sleepover.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
At night:
Shu's apartment:

"I think...this should do."

The albino said to himself as he stood up and examined the setting of the bedroom.

He'd set up a futon beside his bed and arranged it with proper pillows and blanket, almost making it match his bed style.

"Now I just gotta prepare the food and drinks."

Shu said to himself as he headed to the kitchen. Just as he was about to put on his apron, the doorbell rang.

A small smile crept on his face as he went to the front door and opened it, revealing (Y/N) standing there with a grin on her face.

"Heyo!"

"Hey. You came right on time. Come in."

The albino smiled, stepping aside and letting the girl in before closing the door behind him as he added,

"I was about to prepare the food and drinks. You have any specific preferences?"

"Anything is fine with me."

The (h/c) haired girl answered as she looked around Shu's always neat and tidy apartment before he led her to the bedroom to show her the area for the sleepover.

"You can sleep on the bed. I'll be sleeping on the futon."

Shu said, making (Y/N) shake her head and look at him as she said,

"Nope. You sleep on the bed. I'll take the futon."

"But you're my guest an-"

"Shu! You need to sleep like you usually do, alright? Besides, I'm your friend too. Futon is perfectly fine with me."

The albino opened his mouth to argue back but when he saw the insistence in the (e/c) of the girl, he sighed and raised his hands in defeat.

"Fine. You win."

"Great! Now let's have dinner!"

(Y/N) smiled victoriously and set her bag down near the futon before going to the kitchen with the crimson-eyed albino.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Timeskip:
At bedtime:

"You sure you're gonna be alright there, (Y/N)? We can still switch places if you want."

Shu asked, looking at the (h/c) haired girl with a slightly worried expression as he had his head resting on his elbow.

"For the last time Shu, I'm fine here. Sleep now, will you?"

The girl huffed, earning an awkward chuckle from the albino before he said,

"Alright, alright. Good night then."

"Good night."

With that, Shu switched off the lights and both of them closed their eyes, drifting off to dreamland.

At midnight:

(Y/N) woke up to the sound of some sort of shuffling. Her eyes fluttered open as she raised her head and looked at the bed, only to find Shu...missing.

'Maybe he went to th-'

Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of some thing heavy falling. It seemed to have come from the kitchen.

'Is he in the kitchen? At this hour?'

She thought as she immediately got out of the bed and tiptoed to the kitchen.

On her way to the kitchen, she passed by the dining area and was surprised to find the flower vase and two of the showpieces fallen on the floor.

"What the..."

The sound of something metallic hitting the floor interrupted her again as she took a peek at the kitchen area.

Her eyes widened when she saw Shu standing in the kitchen...in a beyblade launch stance? Moreover...his eyes were closed?

'Huh?'

"Let it rip!"

He said as his body moved as if he was launching a beyblade when he wasn't. Slowly, the (h/c) haired girl tiptoed at an arm's length from him as she finally understood what was going on.

'He's sleepwalking!'

(Y/N) immediately stepped out of the way when he aggressively walked out of the kitchen while saying,

"This won't work...I need to become stronger..."

'Looks like he's dreaming about his time as Red Eye...when he was in Snake Pit.'

The girl thought, panicking as she saw him about to walk right into the table but before he could bump into it, he changed his direction.

Letting out a quick sigh of relief, she began to contemplate whether she should wake him up or think of some other way to get him back to bed without awakening him.

'Wait! I have an idea!'

She thought and immediately went to where he was as she cleared her throat and said in a 'deep' voice,

"Red Eye, that's enough training for today. Go and have some rest."

Hearing that, the albino became completely still for a few moments. It almost made her worry that she shouldn't have done that.

She let out a heavy sigh of relief when he started walking back to the direction of his bedroom before following after him to ensure he makes it back to bed safely.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning:

"Hmm...?"

(Y/N) groaned softly as she woke up by the sunrays falling directly on her face from the blinders.

"Oh, hey. Good morning."

The familiar voice of the albino made the (h/c) haired girl immediately jolt up with wide eyes as she looked around to find him standing near the bathroom door in his usual attire.

"What's wrong?"

Shu asked, tilting his head in confusion as he watched her let out a heavy sigh of relief before walking to her.

"Nothing...I was a little worried about you after what happened last night."

"What happened last night?"

"Well..."

(Y/N)'s voice trailed off as she scratched her cheek before telling him everything that'd happened last night.

15 minutes later:

"...and that's basically how I found about your sleepwalking."

(Y/N) finished narrating the entire incident of last night and looked at him, a little surprised to see his usual calm expression replaced with an utterly surprised one.

"...Shu? You okay?"

"I can't believe it..."

The albino said, making her sigh softly as she got up to sit closer to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, it's oka-"

"It's not okay, (Y/N). I never thought that sleepwalking could turn out to be one of the side-effects of the experiments I went through."

Shu cut her off as he turned to look at her with a frown. The girl didn't blame him though. She would feel the same if she was in his place.

"Maybe we should pay a visit to the doctor?"

The girl suggested in a soft voice as she looked at the blader's face for an answer.

"I'm tired of going to the hospital every now and then. First it was my arm...then it was the side effects and now it's this sleepwalking..."

He sighed and clasped his hands together as he let his hair cast a shadow over his eyes.

"What if...we can fix this problem without visiting the doctor?"

"How so?"

Shu asked almost immediately as he turned to look at her with hopeful eyes. The girl looked at him and took a deep breath before saying,

"I don't know whether this will be effective or not but what if I keep a watch over you for a week and guide you back to bed every night? Maybe your sleepwalking will stop if someone's there to help you back to bed everytime it happens."

The albino pondered over her words for a moment before his lips curved into a small smile as he said,

"It wouldn't hurt to try."

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Author's P.O.V.

And so, (Y/N) stayed over at Shu's apartment for the following week and watched over him every night he sleepwalked.

She observed that gradually, the duration of his sleepwalks reduced and by the end of the week, she didn't have to watch out for him as carefully as before because he would simply take a round in the living room and then go back to bed by himself.

Happy with this progress, both of them decided to continue it until his sleepwalks completely stopped.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Three weeks later:

"Alright, it's time for bed now."

The (h/c) haired girl said as she tucked the blader in bed who looked at her with a small smile.

"Thanks for looking after me all this time, (Y/N). I truly appreciate it."

"Anything for you."

The girl said with a smile of her own. Shu's sleepwalks had ceased completely and now whenever he woke up, he would feel refreshed and relaxed like a usual person would.

"You know...during this time, I came to realise something."

(Y/N) said in a soft voice as she sat on the side of the bed and the albino raised an eyebrow in curiosity as he asked,

"And what is it?"

"I think...I care for you...more than just a friend."

"...you...do?"

Shu asked in a quiet voice, staring in the (e/c) eyes of the girl who nodded in response.

"It's alright if you don't- I mean- Mmph!?!"

Before she could finish, the crimson-eyed albino cut her off as he placed his right hand behind her head and pulled her down in a gentle kiss.

As he pulled away, (Y/N) stared at him with wide and surprised eyes, making him chuckle softly as he said,

"I love you too."
