Third person or No one's P.O.V.

"Welcome back Shu!"

The (h/c) haired girl greeted as she ran up to the albino who'd just walked in through the main door. His coat and face had a few drops of blood on them and he held his gun in one hand as he closed the door behind him.

That was enough for his wife to understand what took him so long to return. But instead of getting scared by that, she put on a smile on her face as she asked,

"You seem tired. I've prepared the bathtub for you. Want to have dinner too?"

"I've told you not to wait for me. Why are you not in bed yet? It's already late."

He retorted coldly, completely ignoring her words as he stared at her with his cold gaze that would've scared any other person away.

"How can I sleep when you're not at home? A wife always worries for her husband."

The girl huffed as she helped him take his coat off, making him sigh in defeat.

"Yes, I'll have dinner but I'll bath first."

"Okie!"

(Y/N) smiled in victory and watched him go upstairs before she went to put his coat for washing as well.

Author's P.O.V.

How is (Y/N) so calm and collected even after her husband came home all bloodied?

Because she's well aware of what he does as he's a famous mafia king. Killing people without hesitation is one of the things he's good at.

But how did her parents agree to get their daughter married to such a dangerous person?

Because they didn't know his identity as a mafia king.

The marriage of Shu Kurenai and (Y/N) (L/N) was, except for Shu's parents, known to everyone as a beautiful marriage - of a young teacher and his student.

Yes. A teacher and a student.

(Y/N) was a last year medical student at a renowned university in Japan. And Shu Kurenai happened to be a professor at the very same college.

He wasn't a doctor even though he'd got all the qualifications to be one.

He didn't even want to be a professor in the first place either. But it was because of his mother's wish, that he worked as one.

However, that was what he did for a daytime job only. Since his father was a famous mafia king in Japan, the albino took over his place after Mr. Kurenai's retirement.

And that's how everything became the way it is today.

During the day, Shu was a cold yet calm professor at the university, teaching students but when the night fell, he was the ruthless and cruel Mafia King who killed his enemies without mercy.

Shu's mother wanted her son to be married to a good girl and once, she happened to see him with the (h/c) haired girl when she was asking some doubts from him near the gates of the university.

It was at that first glance, that she wanted (Y/N) to be her daughter-in-law. After indirectly getting more information about her from Shu, she took Mr. Kurenai with her to the (L/N) residence and proposed a marriage.

Mr and Mrs (L/N) were more than happy to have their daughter married to a prodigy like Shu and they at once agreed. (Y/N) being a good daughter, didn't oppose and went along with her parents' wishes.

However, the albino wasn't very happy about this. He became a professor to fulfill his mother's wish and now he had to get married to one of his students to fulfill her wish yet again.

After marriage, he told the (h/c) haired girl about his mafia identity and expected her to get scared and want to run away but to his surprise - she only smiled and said,

"You're a good son. I'm happy to be married to a man who respects his parents so much."

Deep down, he was happy she wasn't scared of him but that still didn't change the cold way he acted with her.

However, (Y/N) loved and cared for him despite the way he treated her and tried everything she could to possibly tear down the wall of coldness he surrounded himself with.

20 minutes later:

"How's the food?"

The female asked as she stared curiously at the albino who ate his food silently. He didn't show any signs of satisfaction while eating but he wasn't particularly dissatisfied either.

"Edible."

He said as he took another bite, making (Y/N) pout as she huffed,

"If you don't like it then no need to force yourself."

"I didn't say I don't like it."

The albino retorted as he took the last bite and wiped his mouth with a napkin. The (e/c) eyes of the girl widened slightly in surprise as she opened her mouth to say something but he interrupted her before that,

"Have you finished your homework?"

"Eh?"

"Don't think that I'll let you off for not doing the assignment because you're my wife, (Y/N)."

"For your information, I always have my assignments completed!"

The (h/c) haired girl pouted in anger as she stood up and collected the empty dishes before taking them to the sink to clean.

'I know you always do, (Y/N). You're my best student.'

The crimson-eyed albino thought as he watched his wife wash the dishes with a faint smile on his lips before he stood up and went upstairs to their bedroom.

A little while later:
In the bedroom:

After a few minutes, the (h/c) haired girl also came upstairs as she'd finished washing the dishes. As she opened the door, she saw Shu already asleep with only the night lamp on.

'It looks like he was really tired...'

The girl thought, not upset by the fact he fell asleep without her. She knew that being a mafia king was hard.

As she slowly crept into the bed beside him, (Y/N) couldn't help but want to hold him. But she didn't know whether he'd like that or not.

'Just holding his hand should be fine...'

She thought as she reached out and gently held his hand before turning off the lamp and going to sleep.

The next morning:

"Hmm..."

(Y/N) groaned softly as she turned her head away from the sun rays which were pouring into the room through the window blinders.

She slowly opened her eyes and as they adjusted to the surroundings, she found herself staring at...black fabric?

"Eh?"

Pulling away a little, she gasped in surprise when she found herself holding Shu. And not just that, the albino was also hugging her close to his chest.

She immediately sat up straight, getting out of his grip and waking him up in the process.

"What's up...?"

The albino asked in a sleepy voice as he looked at her with half-open eyes.

"W-we were hugging each other..."

(Y/N) said as she blushed lightly and looked away from him. Shu rubbed his eyes a little before asking,

"So? What's the problem with that?"

"Y-you're not mad?"

"Why should I be mad? Isn't it something that couples do?"

He asked in confusion, making her blink at him as she said in a soft voice,

"Yes, couples who love each other do it."

"So what's the problem with us doing it?"

The albino asked as he also sat up and stared at her with his crimson eyes, reflecting the sun's rays.

The girl paused briefly as she decided on how she should word it before taking a deep breath and asking,

"Does t-that mean...you love me?"

"Yes, I do."

"Shu. I'm serious."

"Which part of my words made you think that I'm joking?"

He retorted, shocking the (h/c) haired girl. Clutching the blanket tightly, she looked down and swallowed a lump in her throat before asking,

"How can you expect me to believe it so easily?"

"....?"

"If you really love me then...why're you always so cold? Why do you never do any of the stuff that couples do with each other? Let alone doing all that...you barely even say nice things to me."

(Y/N) asked every doubt she'd been having as the albino sighed softly before gently holding her hand and saying,

"Because...I don't know anything about love between couples. I didn't want to accidentally do anything that'd hurt you. From the first day of our marriage...I was head over heels for you but since this was an arranged marriage, I thought you didn't have any feelings for me...and you were just obeying your parents' wishes. That's why...I distanced myself from you and acted cold. I...I'm sorry."

He looked down as he said that, letting his hair cast a shadow over his eyes. The (h/c) haired girl didn't say anything for a good two minutes as she just sat still and stared at him.

"...So you were cold to me all this time...because you...doubted that I didn't feel the same way you did...?"

She asked in a voice, barely above a whisper as he looked up at her and nodded. He tried to read her expression through her eyes and voice but couldn't.

Suddenly she pounced on him, making him fall on the bed with her on top as she hugged him tightly.

"(Y-Y/N)?"

"You're an idiot!"

She exclaimed as she pulled away just enough so he could see her face and pouted angrily at him.

"I-I'm sorry...?"

"I won't forgive you unless you make up to me!"

"H-how should I do that?"

"Do what a good husband does with his wife! Love me!"

(Y/N) said as she crossed her arms and looked away, leaving Shu to think of how he should do that.

'Love her? That must mean taking her on dates, giving her affection and kisses, right? How hard can that be?'

He thought as he hesitantly reached his arms out to her and pulled her in a gentle hug, surprising her.

"I will try my best. I promise not to disappoint you, (Y/N)."

The albino said as he kissed her head softly, making her blush lightly.

Timeskip:
A few weeks later:

"I told you to stay at home and rest, didn't I?"

Shu asked as he sighed and helped his wife to get comfortable in one of the chairs in the staff room. The (h/c) haired girl giggled as she placed a hand over her belly and said,

"You worry too much. Just a little bit of walking won't do me or the baby any harm."

Even though there wasn't a visible baby bump yet, the albino took care of her as if she was in her last month for the delivery.

"Of course, I do. What would I do if anything happened to you or the baby huh?"

The albino huffed before gently touching his wife's belly and pecking her head. She smiled as she took out a neatly wrapped lunch from her purse and held it in front of him.

"Here. You forgot to take your lunch today."

"You came all the way here to give me this? You could've asked me to come back to get it."

The rest of the teachers in the staff room smiled and awed at the sweet couple in front of them while some of the naughty students took pictures of those two from the windows of the room.

An hour later:

"I'm going to take my class now. The campus will be free for this period so if you want to take a walk then you can go. But be careful, alright?"

Shu said as he gathered his books before going to the (e/c) eyed girl and kissing her forehead, making her smile and nod in response.

"Alrighty!"

After (Y/N) said that, the crimson-eyed albino left the staff room and went to take his class.

The girl glanced around before also going out into the campus because there weren't many teachers in the staff room now. Most of them had gone to take their respective classes.

"Let's go for a walk baby."

She said softly to herself as she caressed her belly and took a walk on the campus of the school.

Unbeknownst to her, someone was watching her from afar as they'd hacked into the university's CCTV cameras.

'So this is the girl whom Kurenai is close to huh? She's got the looks. She's gonna be useful to us~'

The person thought as they'd a smug smile on their face while watching the (h/c) haired girl walk in a carefree manner on the campus.

At evening:

"(Y/N)?"

Shu called out as he'd finished his classes for the day and come back to the staff room. He was a little surprised to not find the girl there.

He asked some of the teachers about her whereabouts and all the ones who'd seen her told him that she had gone for a walk but didn't come back.

This got him worried as he tried to call his wife several times but she didn't answer. He gathered his stuff and rushed out in the campus, calling out her name several times.

"(Y/N)!! (Y/N)!! WHERE ARE YOU?!"

He ran here and there, trying to find her but to no avail. However, while looking near the gate, he found a bracelet amongst the grass and pebbles.

"Isn't that..."

The albino quickly picked it up and examined it. His eyes widened when he found (Y/N) Kurenai written on one of the charms.

'This is the bracelet I gifted her on our anniversary. But she never takes it off...'

He thought as he looked around, trying to look for more clues. Just then, his phone rang and he took it out, finding an Unknown number calling. He received the call but before he could say anything,

"How've you been Shu?~ It's been a while~"

The expression on the albino's face hardened as his grip on the phone tightened and he asked coldly,

"What do you want...Glass?"

"You haven't changed one bit, Shu. The same old cold and ruthless voice..."

"Get to the point. Why. Did. You. Call?"

"It seems like you're very angry. Could it be because you can't find your missing wifey?"

Theodore mocked as the crimson eyes of the albino widened in shock before his expression turned into one of anger as he asked in a threatening tone,

"What did you do to her?"

"Nothing much. I assure you...she's having a good time with my men~"

"THEODORE GLASS! If you or your dogs dare lay a single finger on her, I'll make sure to give you hell while you're still alive!"

"Oh? I'm so scared~"

He taunted before turning serious and saying,

"If you want to see her alive then come to the abandoned warehouse in the outskirts of the city. Come alone without any weapons. Try playing tricks and I'll kill her right in front of your eyes. You've got two hours."

Before Shu could even answer, he hung up the call. The albino gritted his teeth in frustration as he put his phone back and went to his car.

'It seems like he doesn't know she's pregnant. Otherwise, he wouldn't have hesitated to harm the baby...'

He thought as he sat in the car and drove to the address Theodore gave him.

Meanwhile:
At the abandoned warehouse:

"This lady is so sexy~"

One of Theodore's goons said as he licked his lips, eyeing (h/c) haired girl who was tied to a chair.

"Don't get horny just yet...boss told us not to do anything until he orders us to."

The goon beside him said as he patted his back not-so-gently, making him frown as he said,

"I just hope he lets us have some fun with her~ She's got the body of a model~"

'They are so disgusting...it's better if I don't talk to them at all.'

(Y/N) thought as she looked away from them in disgust. Suddenly, the door of the room where she was held in was opened and Theodore stepped inside, with his bodyguards behind him.

The goons in the room immediately stood up to greet him as he looked at the (h/c) haired girl with a smirk on his face.

"Your husband is coming to save you...he's going to fall right into my trap."

He said as he walked closer to her who only frowned and turned her head away. He grabbed her jaw and forced her to look back at him as he leaned closer to her and smiled psychotically,

"Once Shu comes here...he'll die. But don't worry...I'll kill you right after him...so you can join him in the afterlife as soon as possible~"

He then let go of her jaw and walked to his goons, talking to them about the trap they'd set up for the albino, leaving her alone with her thoughts.

'They're using me as a bait to get Shu...I-I don't want him to get hurt because of me...I-I need to find out a way to tell him...b-but how...wait...I think I know!'

After Theodore left, the (e/c) eyed girl looked for her chance. She shifted herself a little, making sure that the straps of her dress fell from her shoulders.

"Don't try to move yourself...the ropes won't get loose."

The goon who was having disgusting thoughts about her said as he noticed her shifting in the chair. His eyes landed on her exposed shoulders as he licked his lips and said,

"Damn, you're such a hottie~ I gotta have you before you die~"

He came to her chair and was about to untie her ropes but got interrupted by his partner.

"Hey! Boss hasn't allowed us to let her loose yet!"

"Don't worry. It's just her and the two of us. Besides, she's a woman. She can't possibly beat us. Now come here and let's have some fun with her~"

The goon said as his partner sighed before he also stared at the (h/c) haired girl's bare shoulders with lustful eyes and nodded in agreement.

"You're right."

As soon as the first goon loosened the girl's ropes, (Y/N) kicked him hard in his crotch.

"AHHH!"

His partner rushed to help and was about to hit her but the (h/c) haired girl kicked him in his no-no square too, making him grunt and fall on the floor as well.

"Hmph! That's what you get for underestimating a woman's power!"

(Y/N) said as she stuck her tongue out at them before picking up her belongings, opening the door and immediately running away.

'Now all I need to do is get out of here before anyone sees me and-'

Her thoughts were interrupted as she was suddenly pushed against the wall of the corridor, she was running through.

"Looks like I underestimated your intelligence."

Theodore said as he stepped forward in front of her and one of his bodyguards pinned her on the floor.

"You-"

"I guess your husband is gonna collect your dead body after all~"

The man mocked before pulling his gun out of his pocket as he prepared to shoot her but before he could...

*BANG*

"AAAHHHH!!!"

The sound of a gunshot and a painful scream of Theodore followed as his bodyguards immediately got in front of him in a defensive stance while the one pinning (Y/N) pressed the girl's body harder against the concrete floor.

"Get. Away. From. Her."

The deep and commanding voice of Shu echoed in the warehouse as he took slow and heavy steps to the little group with his gun in hand.

"Shu!"

(Y/N) exclaimed as a smile formed on her face despite being pressed against the floor so hard. Theodore made a 'tch' sound as he held his bleeding arm before peeking out from his shield of bodyguards and saying,

"Stop right there! If you take one more step forward, I'll have her killed in front of your eyes!"

Hearing that, the albino paused and let his hair cast a shadow over his eyes as Theodore smirked and slowly stepped in front.

"Wise choice. Now I want you to-"

*BANG*

Before he could complete, he was shot right in the centre of his forehead making him fall dead on the floor.

His bodyguards gulped nervously before taking out their guns and shakily pointing them at the albino who looked at them with his ruby eyes shining with bloodlust in them.

"Scram while you still can before I change my mind."

Shu said, his voice laced with threat and rage. All of them immediately turned around, including the one pinning down the (h/c) haired girl, and rushed out of the backside exit of the warehouse.

As soon as they were out of sight, the crimson-eyed albino rushed to his wife's side and helped her get to her feet before brushing the dust off her dress.

"Are you okay? Did you get hurt?"

The albino asked as his voice was soft and filled with concern. The (h/c) haired girl slowly nodded as she answered,

"Both me and the baby are okay. You came just in time."

She was about to glance at the dead body of Theodore but before she could, Shu covered her eyes with his palm as he said,

"Don't look. It's not a sight worth seeing."

"O-okay."

(Y/N) answered, blushing lightly at how quickly he could switch from a cold and ruthless mafia to a gentle and loving husband.

"Let's go home now."

He said as he suddenly picked her up bridal style and placed her head on his chest, making sure she couldn't turn her head. The (h/c) haired girl blushed lightly before asking,

"B-but what about these-"

"They'll take care of this mess."

The crimson-eyed albino cut her off as several men dressed in black came rushing in with different things in their hands. (Y/N) almost immediately recognised them as Shu's men.

Timeskip:
In the Kurenai mansion:

"She'll need proper rest and nutritious food. I've also prescribed some supplements. If she takes them for one week, it'll do good to both her and the baby."

The doctor said as he finished writing the prescription before giving it to the albino who nodded in response as he read the names of the medicines.

"Thank you, doctor."

"No problem. It's my job."

The doctor smiled before leaving the living room with one of the servants of the house. After he was gone, the girl who was sitting on the couch looked up at the albino and called out,

"Shu."

"Hmm?"

"Thanks for saving me and our baby."

Shu put the prescription paper down and shifted his gaze to his wife before he kneeled down in front of her and looked up in her (e/c) eyes as he said,

"Why do you thank me? As a husband and a soon-to-be father, that's what I should do."

Hearing his soft and earnest words, (Y/N) smiled softly as she cupped his face and pecked his forehead.

"This is why I love you hubby."

"Mm. I love you too, sweetheart. Now let's go to bed. Today was tiring for all three of us."

The albino said as he scooped her up in his arms again and took her upstairs to their shared bedroom as the female huffed softly before asking,

"You don't have to carry me all the time like this. I'm pregnant. Not crippled."

"I let you go for a walk in the college and you got kidnapped. Now let alone leaving my sight, as long as I'm with you, I'll always be holding you in one way or the other."
