Raging Bulls:
New York, America:
"Yes, I know. How about fixing the meeting in the restaurant near the Bulls?"
The albino asked as he had one hand in his pocket while the other one held his phone on which he was on a call.
A call with the manager of one of New York's other beyblade clubs who wanted to join hands with him and get his beyclub under Raging Bulls.
"Alright then. I look forward to meeting up with you soon."
Shu said as he hung up the call and sighed softly before putting his phone back in his pocket. He went back to his desk and sat down as he began to do the paperwork of the day.
"So much work..."
He mumbled to himself as he wrote a document. Lately, his work has increased tenfold due to several students of Bulls winning several tournaments and earning different titles both in America and abroad.
This had increased the number of students wanting to take admission and the number of companies and sponsors wanting to join hands with the legendary blader's team.
"Shu-kun!"
A sweet voice called out as a/an (h/c) haired girl stepped in the office with a cheerful smile on her face. The albino raised his head to look at his girlfriend who walked to his desk and asked,
"Have you eaten your lunch yet?"
"No."
The crimson-eyed blader responded, unaware of how coldly his response had just come out. But one response like that wasn't enough to dishearten the girl as she said,
"Then you should have it soon. Want me to bring it here in your office?"
"No, thanks. I'll go and have it later."
"But-"
"(Y/N), please. I'm busy right now."
Shu interrupted as he stared at the girl with a stern expression on his face. It wasn't scary enough to make her run away, just enough to convey his message that he wanted to be left alone.
"Alright. I'll see you later then."
The (h/c) haired girl sighed sadly before she turned around and left his office.
'Shu seems so stressed out these days. Maybe I should do something to lighten his mood and relax him up a bit.'
(Y/N) thought as she walked in the corridor, thinking of what she should do for her hard-working boyfriend.
"Oh! I know!"
She smiled to herself as she clasped her hands together in excitement before rushing all the way to their shared suite.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Timeskip:
At evening:
"I'm home..."
The albino called out tiredly as he walked into the house with his office bag and coat in one hand and used his free hand to loosen his tie up a bit.
"Welcome home, Shu!"
The (h/c) haired girl greeted with a big smile on her face as she rushed up to him, taking his coat and bag before planting a soft kiss on his cheek.
"I'm gonna go bath first."
"Okie!"
She nodded as the blader went upstairs to their shared bedroom to take a bath while she placed his stuff in the proper places before going in the kitchen.
"I'm sure Shu will like it."
(Y/N) said to herself as she smiled while serving the pasta she made with extreme care.
As she finished serving the dinner and took off her apron, Shu walked into the dining room with a towel in his hair and sat down on the chair, opposite to his girlfriend's.
The (e/c) eyed girl almost immediately sat down after him and scanned his expression as his crimson eyes stared at the plate for a brief moment before he looked up and asked,
"It's not coriander, is it?"
"No. It's arugula."
She immediately responded. She knew very well her albino boyfriend disliked coriander...especially with pasta.
She watched as the blader took a bite and chewed it with his eyes closed. When he didn't say anything she decided to ask herself,
"Is it good?"
"Hmm."
He hummed in response as he continued to eat in silence, making the (h/c) haired girl frown.
'Maybe he doesn't like it that much? Or maybe he's tired so he's not speaking?'
She thought as she too picked up the fork and they had the rest of the dinner in silence.
After the dinner, (Y/N) washed the dishes and Shu went upstairs to rest. While washing the girl was thinking,
'He used to help me clean the table after the meals and we would wash the dishes together. Then we would go to bed together as well. But lately, he has stopped doing all that. Maybe I'm just overthinking it? He must be stressed out so he just wanted to have some rest?'
That night the couple didn't cuddle in the bed either as Shu had already fallen asleep by the time the (h/c) haired girl went upstairs.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
A few days later:
Shu's work kept increasing day by day which made him unable to spend time with his girlfriend.
That started to upset her as well because no matter how many times (Y/N) told herself to understand her boyfriend's condition, deep down, she couldn't stand being ignored and given the cold treatment by the albino.
So she did everything she could to get his attention back to her. Even if it was just him getting annoyed at her for a little while.
But one day when she woke up, she wasn't feeling well. As usual, she looked beside her spot on the bed, not surprised to not find Shu there.
Lately, the albino would quietly get out of bed, do his routine and leave for the office on time without waking up (Y/N). He would only text her, informing her that he's at work so she doesn't worry about him.
'My head...I'm feeling so dizzy...'
The (h/c) haired girl thought as she slowly got out of the bed and took her phone from the nightstand. Opening the call log, she decided to let the albino know as she dialled the number and waited for him to pick up.
Unfortunately, that was a bad timing as Shu was in his office, hurriedly preparing for a sudden and unexpected meeting with one of his clients in a very bad mood.
When his phone rang and he checked the caller ID, he grumbled under his breath before picking it up.
"Hello?"
"Hey Shu."
"What is it, (Y/N)? Make it quick. I'm busy."
"A-actually I'm n-not feeling well-"
"Fever?"
"N-no...dizzine-"
"You called to tell me that you're feeling dizzy instead of taking rest in the bed?"
The frustration in his voice made the girl flinch as she gulped nervously before she began,
"B-becau-"
"SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP! Why are you being so annoying, (Y/N)?! Don't you know how busy I am?! Are you a child who doesn't know what to do when you're not well?! Go and rest!"
The albino snapped angrily as he yelled over the phone, making tears of sadness form in the (e/c) eyes of the girl as she swallowed down a lump in her throat.
"B-but-"
"And don't call me again!"
He cut her off before she could even begin her sentence and hung up the call.
As soon as he did, the (h/c) haired girl put a hand over her mouth and let herself drop to the floor as she burst out crying.
It was the first time Shu had ever raised his voice on her. (Y/N) was a soft girl who didn't like loud voices and he knew that very well. No matter how mad he would get at her, he would never raise his voice.
"H-he didn't even l-listen..."
The girl sobbed as she stood up and went downstairs to get a glass of water. Her dizziness only seemed to increase with each passing second but she didn't take any medicine.
How could she act without a doctor's advice? What if the medicine she took only worsened her condition?
As she reached the kitchen and poured out a glass of water, (Y/N) held her head with one hand and groaned as the dizziness became unbearable.
"...can't...take...it anymore..."
She muttered before losing consciousness altogether and falling on the floor, accidentally knocking the glass off in the process.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Later that day:
After the meeting, Shu was heading back to his office with some documents but his mind was thinking only of his girlfriend.
'I shouldn't have snapped at her like that. She's so soft-hearted that she gets sad over getting scolded for even the smallest of things. She must be so upset...'
The albino thought as he frowned and unknowingly increased his pace of walking.
'I should go home early today...she said she wasn't feeling well. I should check on her and see if she's alright or not by now...'
And with that thought, he rushed back to his office to collect his things and go home.
A small timeskip:
Shu opened the main door of the suite and stepped in as he called out,
"I'm home!"
No response.
"(Y/N)! I'm home!"
The albino called out again as he tilted his head in confusion when he looked in the house.
It was evening but still no lights in the house were on. But why? As far as he knew, the (h/c) haired girl hated darkness.
Moreover, he'd expected to be greeted by the girl's warm smile because she would always come running whenever she heard the front door open. But not today.
'I hope she's alright...'
He thought as he turned on the lights of the house and began to look for her. Worry was evident on his face when he didn't find the girl in the bedroom.
"Love?"
Shu softly called out and turned on the lights in the kitchen as he walked in, looking for her.
His crimson eyes widened and his jaw dropped in shock at the sight in front of him.
The girl was lying unconscious beside the dining table with a broken glass next to her.
"(Y/N)!!!"
The albino exclaimed in worry as he rushed to her side and taking her upper body in his arms, he started shaking her shoulders, trying to wake her up.
"Love...open your eyes...look I-I'm home. Love...? (Y/N)?...Wake up! Please! Open your eyes!"
Panic and worry took over him at once as his hands slid down to her arms, rubbing them gently.
'Just how long has she been lying here? Her body is so cold...'
He thought as he frowned and picked her up in bridal style before taking her upstairs to their bedroom and calling a doctor.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
20 minutes later:
"Is she going to be okay, doctor?"
Shu asked maintaining a calm exterior but the concern for his girl was killing him inside as he stood beside the bed, watching the doctor finish his check-up on the passed out (h/c) haired girl before he looked up and answered,
"She's going to be fine. Just make sure she gets proper rest and nutritious food."
"What exactly happened to her?"
"She passed out because of an excess amount of vasopressin in her blood. Her cells weren't getting enough oxygen, therefore she passed out."
"Vasopressin? The stress hormone? So you're telling me..."
"Yes. She must've been mentally stressed about something that made this happen."
"When will she wake up?"
"I've given her the injection so she should wake up in the next 30 minutes or so."
"Okay, doctor. Thank you very much."
"No problem. It's my job."
The doctor smiled before he stood up and the albino escorted him outside.
After he left, Shu went back to the kitchen and started cleaning the broken shards of glass as he thought,
'30 minutes huh? She was passed out for nearly the whole day...she must be hungry. I should make something for her to eat.'
--------------------------------------------------------------------
30 minutes later:
Just as the doctor had said, (Y/N) began to stir a little as she groaned softly and opened her eyes.
"Mm...?"
As her eyes adjusted to the lights, she almost immediately sat up and looked around, recognising that she wasn't in the kitchen anymore.
"How did I get here? I don't remem-"
Just then, the room door opened and Shu walked inside with a tray of food and water in his hands. A smile formed on his lips as he looked at the confused girl,
"You're up, I see. Here, I brought you something to eat."
The albino smiled as he went to the bed and sat beside her, placing the tray on her lap.
"Y-you made this?"
The (h/c) haired girl asked as her eyes widened in surprise and Shu only smiled,
"Because I know it's one of my love's favourites."
When he addressed her as 'my love', (Y/N) couldn't help but feel tears pricking the corners of her eyes as she sniffled a little which made him worry as he quickly asked,
"What's wrong?"
"N-nothing."
"Love, you're sniffling. Tell me what's the matter."
"I-it's just that it's b-been so long since y-you cooked f-food for me."
The girl answered as she wiped her tears, making him frown as he felt disappointed with himself for ignoring his girl for so long.
"I'm sorry, love. It was my fault. I promise I won't repeat this mistake. You'll always come before my work."
The crimson-eyed blader apologised sincerely as he held one of her hands and leaned down, kissing the back of it like a gentleman and making her blush lightly.
"It was my fault you got so stressed so now I'm gonna do everything to make it up to you, sweetheart."
"Huh?"
"I'm going to take a week's holiday and then we'll go on dates and spend every hour of all those days together, hmm?"
Shu offered with a smile as (Y/N) felt herself almost on the verge of crying again before she put the tray beside her and pounced on her boyfriend, engulfing him in a tight hug.
The albino almost lost his balance as he chuckled softly before returning the gesture and placing a gentle kiss on the girl's temple as he said,
"I love you so much, (n/n)."
"I love you too, Shu-kun."
