New York, America:

(Y/N) (L/N). A girl that had a soft heart and a soft attitude. She's a member of Raging Bulls and is a young aspiring blader. Known for never getting mad at anyone, she was sometimes called the little angel of the team.

The (h/c) haired girl was a pretty strong blader and had won several tournaments for her team. But instead of being born strong, she used to practice to improve herself and become stronger each day.

It was yet another day of training for her as she'd just finished her morning practice session and was now sitting on one of the benches with a towel around her neck and a water bottle in her hand.

'It looks like it's gonna rain soon...'

She thought to herself as she stared at the scene outside. Her grandma had once told her, that if the sun is halo during the day then it's gonna rain soon.

It wasn't even 10 minutes when what she thought became a reality and it started raining pretty heavily. Instead of resuming her training, (Y/N) decided to sit and watch the rain for a while. Watching rain was always a relaxing sight for her.

As she watched, she began to hum a little song but she was forced to cut herself off in the middle when she saw her team's captain come running in from outside.

He was drenched from head to toe and was breathing heavily. Without any delay, the girl stood up and ran up to him with a dry towel as she exclaimed,

"Shu?! What were you doing outside?! Are you alright?!"

"I went out to get some fresh air to relieve some of my work stress and then the weather suddenly changed. Before I knew it, I was in a heavy downpour and I had to run all the way back."

The albino explained as he caught his breath and began to dry his hair and face before mouthing a 'thank you' to the (h/c) haired girl.

"You should go and take a bath soon or else you'll be sick."

"Yes, you're right. I'll go ahead and do just that. Thanks again for the towel, (Y/N)."

"Anytime, Shu."

The female gave him a closed-eye smile before he left for his room to take a bath.

At afternoon:

It was still raining but not as heavily as before and Shu was back to doing his usual paperwork after taking a bath and getting himself warmed up.

Well, more precisely he was trying to work. For some reason, the albino was feeling hot and uncomfortable in his body.

He could feel everything around him having a cooler temperature than his own body. After Xander had given him an earful about how he shouldn't ignore his own health, Shu had started to pay more attention towards his well-being.

Right now too, he decided not to ignore this feeling of discomfort. The albino stood up and went to get the first-aid kit in his office to get the thermometer.

"104° Fahrenheit..."

He mumbled as he was surprised to find his temperature so high. Sighing to himself, he decided to go back to his suite and rest for the day.

A little later:

'I don't understand what's wrong with my launcher...I guess only Shu can help me fix it.'

The (h/c) haired girl thought while she was walking to the said blader's office with her launcher in hand. But she was surprised to not find him in the office.

'Maybe he's in his suite?'

(Y/N) made her way to his suite and stopped when she was at the door. Just as she was about to knock, she noticed that the door was open.

'This is so unlike Shu. I hope he's alright.'

She slowly proceeded to peek inside. Everything was tidy as usual. But she couldn't see the albino blader anywhere inside.

Quietly, she walked in and closed the door behind her, without making a noise and secretly hoping that Shu wouldn't get mad at her for just getting inside his home without permission.

'I'm just checking up on him. I'm not here to do anything wrong. So...I guess he won't be mad.'

She thought while quietly making her way across the house, looking for him. Since his bedroom was in the far corner, it was the last place she went in.

And when she did, she was shocked to see him sleeping on the bed, with a towel on his forehead. His face was red and he was sweating.

"Shu..."

The (e/c) eyed girl mumbled softly as she walked up to his bed and gently picked up the thermometer that was placed on the bedside counter in a tray which also had a bowl of water.

She read the reading. 104°F.

'He's having such a high fever?! Why didn't he ask anyone to look after him?! He could've asked me to take care of him! Why does he like to keep everything to himself?'

(Y/N) thought as she frowned and placed the thermometer back in its place before looking at him and sighing softly. She was gonna take care of him now. Whether he likes it or not.

She checked the towel and sure enough, it was warm. Slowly, she took it off his forehead and put it in the tray before picking it up and going out of his room.

"Hmm..."

Shu's crimson eyes fluttered open as he turned his head to his side. The noise of things being moved here and there made him wonder,

'Is someone in the house?'

Just as he was about to stand up and go to check, the door opened and (Y/N) walked in with a small bag in her hands.

"Shu! You're up!"

"...(Y/N)?"

"I brought medicines for you. Take them and you'll feel better."

The girl said with a gentle smile on her face as she placed the medicines on the countertop and began to pour out a glass of water for him.

"...How did you get in here?"

"Well, I was looking for you but when I didn't find you in the office, I came here and found the door open. So...I walked in to check and found you burning in fever."

She explained as she handed him the glass of water along with two tablets. Shu made a face that said he didn't want to take the medicines but when he looked at the eager (e/c) eyes of the girl, he sighed softly before taking them.

"There's a syrup too so take it after taking the pills. I'll go make something to eat for you."

(Y/N) told him as he nodded before she went to the kitchen.

20 minutes later:

"Here it is!"

Shu looked up from the book he was reading only to find the bright smiling face of the (h/c) haired girl who trotted to him before placing the tray of food in his lap.

"Cream stew?"

The albino asked as he looked at the girl who just gave him a closed eye smile before saying,

"Since you're sick, this is something that's easy to eat and digest. It'll also keep your stomach full."

"Very thoughtful, I see."

He chuckled lightly which made her smile before he made a request that made (Y/N) blush in shyness.

"Why don't you feed me?"

"Eh?"

"I'm sick and weak so...don't you think you should help me out?"

Shu said with a smirk on his face as he watched the girl make a cute flustered face before she gave in and sat beside him on the bed.

Taking the bowl and the spoon, she slowly began to feed him and with each bite, she could've sworn she could see this albino's smirk growing wider.

After finishing the stew, the (e/c) eyed girl took the utensils and went to wash them. She made sure that Shu had all the medicines he needed along with a jug of water.

"It's about time, I should head to my room now."

(Y/N) said as she looked at the albino who nodded in response to her before saying,

"Make sure you take a bath and change your clothes too otherwise you'll end up falling sick like me."

"Yeah, yeah."

She giggled softly which made him smile before he suddenly pulled her towards himself by her wrist, making her yelp in surprise.

"Eh? Sh-"

Before she could complete her sentence, the albino smirked as he cupped her cheek with one hand and swiftly kissed her there.

"I love you."

Shu said as he watched the poor girl's face light up like a fresh tomato. Her eyes went wide as her brain processed what had just happened.

"I-I love y-you t-too."

(Y/N) stammered as she quickly pulled herself away from him and hurriedly left, leaving the albino in the bed to chuckle at her cute reaction.

As soon as the (h/c) haired girl was out of his suite, she cupped her face in both her hands as she squealed and thought,

'Ahhh! S-Shu just kissed m-me and w-we said I-I love you to each other! Did we just become a couple?! Oh my gosh! I-Is this a dream?!'

She pinched her cheek to cross-confirm until it turned red and made her flinch in pain.

"This isn't a dream! Shu and I a-are really a couple n-now!!"

Three days later:

Shu had recovered and was back to doing his usual paperwork along with blading practice with Spryzen.

In the past three days, (Y/N) had made sure to visit him at least once a day and look after him. Whenever it was time to leave, the albino wouldn't let her go without kissing either her cheek or her forehead.

Now that he was fine, he and his girlfriend sat on the couch of his office and were cuddling with each other.

"Hey, (n/n)?"

"Hmm?"

"Thanks for looking after me when I was sick."

Shu said while playing with a lock of her (h/c) hair as she giggled softly and responded,

"It was nothing."

"And..."

The albino began as he let go of her hair and cupped her face, making her look at him with curiosity.

"...I love you so much."

He completed as he kissed the tip of her nose. (Y/N) blushed as she hid her face by hugging him tightly which made him laugh and pat her head before he heard her voice say softly,

"I love you too."
