New York City:

A/an (h/c) haired girl was walking around the streets of New York with an emotionless face. Her therapist had told her to get some fresh air, so she was out on a walk.

Surprisingly enough, the streets weren't crowded as one would usually expect New York's streets to be. Probably because everyone was at home, watching the news of Phi's big announcement.

"I'll crush all the beys in the world and make sure that every blader kneels to me. I'm the king and destroyer of beyblades!"

That's what he'd said. Well, back to the present. There were comparatively fewer pedestrians in the street than usual, so this (h/c) haired girl could easily walk around absent-mindedly without having to worry about bumping into a stranger.

As she walked along, she was having flashbacks of what had happened two months ago.

Flashback:
Two months ago:

After destroying Hyde's beyblade Dread Hades, Phi had now changed his bey's name from Revive Phoenix to Dread Phoenix.

He was sickly happy at the victory and was now ready to test the strength of this bey on his younger sister's bey, (B/N).

"Now, it's time to see how strong Phoenix truly is. It wants to battle with (B/N) to test its strength."

He said as he pointed his beyblade at the (h/c) haired girl who was sitting on the sidelines and watching her elder brothers battle.

When Hyde tried to stop him, he was rudely pushed away by Phi. (Y/N) was a little nervous to face the phoenix blader as she'd never won a single battle against him.

But sensing the danger, she accepted the challenge. She couldn't just stand and watch while a bey spirit took over her beloved brother.

"Bring it on then!"

She said confidently and held out (B/N) as her aura and Phi's dreadful aura were awakened.

As they battled, Hyde watched with a worried look on his face from the sidelines. When they were young, Phi and him would often have conflicts, and that was one of the main reasons why the brothers never liked each other.

But their younger sister, (Y/N) was the only reason why the two hadn't killed each other. No matter how much they fought, if it came to the little girl, their attitudes would swing from bloodthirsty and angry to sweet and caring.

But now, Phi seemed to have been blinded by the strength of Phoenix and the urge to destroy all the beyblades in the world. To the point that he wasn't even recognizing his sister.

Before the Hades blader knew it, the sound of a beyblade cracking snapped him out of his flashback trail. His jaw dropped at the sight before him.

(B/N) was shattered to pieces as if it was made of glass. It was shattered so badly that the pieces were almost unrecognizable. (Y/N) was on her knees on the floor with a shocked look on her face.

Phi only laughed like a maniac as he remarked,

"This is what happens if weak beys like these face the Lord of Destruction. Such a pathetic person like you doesn't even deserve to be a blader."

And he walked away, leaving (Y/N) to Hyde, who immediately ran up to the poor girl to console and help her up.

A month later:

After Phi left the Dread Tower, Evel had been trying to fix (B/N). But no matter how much he tried, he couldn't. It was just damaged so badly.

Meanwhile, (Y/N) and Hyde watched on the TV how Phi was now on a bey destroying spree. After Fafnir, his next aim was Spryzen.

He'd destroyed it as well, making the world-famous blader Shu Kurenai kneel to him in defeat. The only hope to get him back to his senses was now from his battle with Aiger.

Both the siblings left the tower and (Y/N)'s bey to Evel's care and went to New York to meet with Phi before his battle.

Timeskip:

It was no use. Phi was completely out of his senses now. He pushed Hyde and (Y/N) away again, saying that weaklings like them don't have the authority to tell him what to do.

The two of them returned disappointed. But the (e/c) eyed girl had made up her mind to talk her brother out of this madness.

She went to meet him again but this time without informing Hyde about it. And that was her worst decision ever.

Phi said some of the harshest sentences to her when she met him again.

'You're weak and pathetic.'

'Your existence is useless. You were only a stepping stone for me and Phoenix. Nothing more.'

'I don't even know why I used to care for you so much. You should be glad that you're the sister of the Lord of Destruction. Otherwise, you're nothing.'

Those sentences were enough to hit the (e/c) eyed girl's heart like an arrow shower. Never in her wildest dreams did she expect her beloved brother to say such things to her.

After leaving, she didn't meet Hyde. Instead, she went to her hotel room and packed her stuff before disappearing like thin air.

End of flashback

Back to the present:

It had been two months and seventeen days from that incident, to be exact. Hyde was still worried about her.

Heck, he was even getting nightmares of losing her and Phi. Deep in his heart, he did blame himself for all that had happened to his siblings. But it wasn't his fault at all.

Luckily for him, Evel had informed him that (Y/N) might be in New York only. As much as he knew his sister, she was likely to be wandering somewhere on the streets.

And he was right. While searching for her, he finally encountered the street she was at as he called out,

"(Y/N)!"

At the mention of her name, the girl's eyes widened as she quickly turned around, only to find her brother standing behind her and panting slightly.

"I found you...finally."

Hyde said as he caught his breath and looked up at the girl before asking,

"Where were you all this time?! Why did you suddenly disappear without a trace? Do you have any idea how worried I was?!"

When the (h/c) haired girl didn't reply, he got even more worried. She just stared at him with a blank look as if she was a killer or something.

"Why aren't you saying anything? Are you alright?"

'Alright? You have no idea.'

She thought. Hyde happened to take notice of the long sleeved hoodie she'd been wearing. He thought,

'I don't remember (Y/N) having a liking for hoodies...'

"Hey (Y/N), why're you wearing a hoodie? It's not that cold."

The (e/c) eyed girl's hair covered her eyes as she turned around to leave but the Hades blader caught her wrist, making her wince.

The green and red eyes of the boy widened in shock when he felt something thicker under the fabric. Without letting go of her wrists, he swiftly rolled up her sleeves and found several white bandages, covering her arms.

"(Y/N)...have you been....-"

Before he could complete his sentence, the girl yanked her hand back as she quickly ran away without saying another word. Hyde ran after his sister without thinking.

"(Y/N)!!! Wait up!! Stop running!!!"

But the female didn't stop. She blindly ran to wherever her feet were taking her. While running, she reached upto the highway's zebra crossing.

She intended on crossing the road and running away but she didn't notice that the traffic light was still red when she sprinted on the crossing.

"(Y/N)!!!! WATCH OUT!!!"

Hyde yelled on top of his lungs as the girl abruptly stopped when she saw a truck coming straight to her direction.

She stood there paralysed by fear as the truck approached her and before she knew it, everything turned black.

A timeskip:
At the hospital:

"Is she gonna be alright, doctor?"

Hyde asked in a worried tone to the doctor who'd just stepped out of the operation theater (Y/N) was in and was now writing some reports on the papers on his clipboard.

"She's suffered from serious injuries. She needs to be under strict observation for the next 48 hours in case there're some hidden contusions."

"So, I can't go and see her?"

"Not for the next 48 hours atleast. However, after that you can. But I can't guarantee when she'll wake up."

Hyde's face turned even paler hearing that. He asked reluctantly,

"Does that mean she's in a coma?"

"No, she's not sir. I'm just saying that she's sustained some heavy head injuries and it might take weeks for her to wake up. Although, can I ask you a question?"

"Yes. What is it?"

"Has the patient been into depression? While operating, we found some really deep cuts on her arms and legs. The way they are indicate that she's been cutting herself."

Hyde paused for a moment as he thought,

'So those bandages...(Y/N) was really cutting herself...but why?'

"Sir?"

The doctor called out as he quickly snapped back to his senses and responded,

"M-maybe doctor. To be honest, she disappeared a month ago and I'd been searching for her. I happened to find her today and saw the bandages on her arms. But she didn't answer to anything I asked and just ran away. That's also why she was hit by the truck."

"I see. I'm sorry to hear that. Please excuse me now, I have to go and write the patient's conditions in my records."

With that, the doctor bowed politely and left. As soon as he was gone, Hyde took his phone out and called Evel to tell him everything.

"Make some arrangements so Phi can get to know what he's done to our sister."

He said as his red and green eyes burnt with anger.

Little did he know that in trying to let Phi know about (Y/N)'s condition could actually attract some 'unwanted' attention towards her.

Timeskip when nearly everyone came to know about the girl's condition:

(I'm starting to feel I'm actually writing a Brother Phi x Brother Hyde x Sister Reader oneshot-)

Even after knowing about (Y/N)'s condition, Phi ignored it. Instead, he sent a message to Hyde saying that,

"If you're trying to deviate me from my path of greatness then you better stop. Otherwise, I'll not only destroy you but also that pathetic sister of yours."

Hyde could only grit his teeth in anger. He was apparently sitting in the waiting area outside the (h/c) haired girl's hospital room.

He couldn't go in. He couldn't bring himself to. Not after how he failed to save her from the accident and how he let her fall in depression. He was blaming himself for all that had happened.

'How am I supposed to look at (Y/N) in the eye after all that has happened?! I'm such a useless brother! I should've-'

"Hello again, Hyde."

A strangely familiar and masculine voice called out as the long white and slightly purple haired blader looked up to see who the person was.

It was another albino who was more commonly known by the title of "Spirit of Flame" around the world. The one blader whom even Valt Aoi looked up to.

"Why're you here?"

Hyde asked as he stood up to look at Shu who had his usual straight face up.

"Isn't it obvious? You spread the news of (Y/N)'s accident around the world. I came here because I knew you would not be able to talk to her straight away."

'What the hell? Is this guy a psychic or what? He knows exactly when to appear.'

(Is it just him or does Shu actually appear at the right time always? He appeared when Aiger's resonance was going corrupt. And now he appeared at the right time again-)

"Leave it at that. I came here because I was worried for her as well. Now if you may excuse me..."

Shu said as he closed his eyes and turned to the door to the (e/c) eyed girl's room but stopped when Hyde called out to him.

"Wait!"

"What is it?"

The red-eyed albino asked as he held on the doorknob and didn't turn around.

"I'm sorry...for what my brother...did to Spryzen.."

Hyde said in a guilty way and looked down.

"Don't be. It's not your fault."

The albino said in an almost emotionless tone before going in the room and closing the door behind him.

Second person or 'You' P.O.V.

As he walked inside, he saw you lying on the bed and staring at the ceiling. There were 2 drips; one of each on your arm.

One was giving water to your body while the other was making up for the loss of blood you had due to the accident.

"Hello there."

You turned your head to look at the owner of the voice as he walked closer to your bed and sat on the little chair beside the bed.

"Hello. You're Shu Kurenai, right? I saw you last time when you came to the Dread Tower to help out Aiger."

"Yes, that would be me. And you're (Y/N), right? The sister of Hyde and Phi. I recently saw the news about you."

"What news?"

He then told you about the news that Evel had made public and your eyes widened after hearing that. How did Hyde know that you became depressed because of Phi's words?!

"You know..."

"Hmm?"

You turned to him as his voice trailed off and he looked away, avoiding eye contact.

"It's not good to harm yourself. No matter what other people say, even if it is your family member, if you know that they're wrong then you shouldn't take it to heart."

You looked down and clutched the blanket as he continued,

"Your brother Phi, is not in his senses right now. So you shouldn't take his words to heart. It's not Phi saying those words to you, it's Dread Phoenix who's speaking through him. Hurting yourself just because a corrupt bey spirit said some meaningless words to you isn't worth it."

"I-I know but when he said those words to me...I-I didn't know how else to cope-"

Before you could complete, you felt a hand on top of yours and looked at Shu who had a gentle smile on his face.

"It might sound strange because we don't know each other properly but if you ever need someone to talk to, you can always turn to me."

"R-really?"

"Yes. Here's my number."

He said as you quickly handed over your phone to him and he saved it in it.

Third person's or No one's P.O.V.

Outside the room, Hyde had been listening to the conversation intently. He sighed in relief and smiled as he leaned by the closed door and thought,

'Maybe Shu's help isn't so bad. He did what I was hesitating to do on my behalf and even helped (Y/N).'

With Shu's help, the (h/c) haired girl eventually stopped hurting herself and her relationship with Hyde was back to normal as well.

Timeskip to when Phi is defeated by Aiger and is finally back to his senses:
After getting a good scolding from Hyde:

"SAY WHAT?!"

Phi's jawdropped when Hyde told him that (Y/N) had been hurting herself but was stopped and helped by Shu.

"Yes! It's all because of your crazy urge of destruction."

"Where's she now?"

"Probably somewhere hanging out with Shu."

Hyde shrugged which turned Phi's overprotective brother mode on.

"Hanging out with my sister?! How could you even allow that?! I'm gonna go find them n-"

The Phoenix blader said, clenching his fists as he was about to leave and find the duo but was stopped when Hyde put a hand on his shoulder,

"You need to stop worrying so much. He's a good guy and will take good care of our sister."

Meanwhile:
Second person or 'You' P.O.V.

Shu and you were sitting on a bench in the park and chatting happily with each other.

"So that's the reason why the two of them still haven't killed each other yet. Because of you."

The red-eyed albino laughed as you giggled and nodded.

"Pretty much so."

"Well (Y/N), I have something to ask you."

"Hmm? What would that be?"

You asked and looked over curiously at him as he cleared his throat before replying,

"Would you like to be my girlfriend and take this relationship further?"

You were frozen with shock. Literally.

It took you a whole minute to process what he just said and your cheeks turned red when you finally did. You looked at Shu who was anxiously awaiting your answer and took a deep breath before saying,

"I would love to."
