Second person or 'You' P.O.V.

"You did WHAT?!"

A red-eyed male exclaimed as he slammed his palms on the coffee table in front of him, making the drinks on it shake and splash a little.

"Calm down, we only did what was the best. You two have been a couple for a while now, isn't it? So what's the problem in getting married and securing your love for the rest of your lives hmm?"

The lady said as she took a sip from the cup, not minding the few drops that had fallen on the table.

"You did what YOU thought was best! Did you ever think of asking me about it even once? Or her? This is the decision of OUR lives! Not yours!"

"Stop speaking with such rudeness! Apologise to your mother right now!"

The man beside the lady scolded his son as the said person sat back down on the couch, rubbing his forehead in frustration and taking deep breaths to calm himself down.

"We've already talked with her parents and they agreed with us as well. And if they agreed, then I'm sure that she agreed as well. You should be happy."

The lady spoke again as she placed her cup down and stared at her son who sighed heavily before standing up and leaving.

He went straight upstairs to his room and slammed the door shut as he took out his phone and opened the call log.

'I'm gonna ask her myself to confirm.'

He thought as he dialled the number and placed the phone near his ear. He didn't have to wait for long as the call was immediately picked up and a cheerful voice greeted him,

"Hey Shu!"

"Hi, (n/n). Did you agree to the marriage that our parents arranged for the both of us?"

He asked bluntly. The stern tone in his voice made you gulp nervously as you said,

"U-uhm, they're the elders so they-"

"Just answer in a yes or no. Don't beat around the bush."

He cut you off, making you flinch a little as you took a deep breath before answering,

"Y-yes, I-I-"

"So, you did. And you didn't care to talk about it with me even once?"

"S-Shu it's not l-like t-tha-"

Before you could finish your sentence, he hung up the call. Your eyes widened in shock as he never did that. Nevertheless, you tried calling and texting him again but got no response.

All your calls were left unanswered and all your texts remained unseen.

Timeskip:
On the day of the wedding:

Today was the big day for both of you. The wedding avenue both of your parents arranged was spectacular.

And it was completely filled. With the families of both sides as well as your friends from the University where you were a last-year student and some of the professors and teachers who were friends with Shu as he was a lecturer of Literature at the same University.

Before you knew it, you found yourself standing on the wedding aisle, right beside your soon-to-be husband as the priest made both of you take the wedding vows.

"Now, you may kiss the bride."

The priest happily announced as he closed the book and you felt butterflies fluttering about in your stomach as you turned to face the albino.

You were expecting to get a deep and loving kiss from him but what he did next, shocked you and both his and your parents.

Instead of giving you a passionate kiss on the lips, Shu just pecked your forehead and quickly pulled away. It was as if he was doing a formality.

"And now, I officially pronounce both of you as husband and wife!"

The priest declared happily as the hall was filled with loud claps and cheers of the people but you seemed like the only one who didn't feel as happy as a bride should be.

At your new home:

As night fell and both of you freshened up, you sat on the corner of the bed, anxious and expectant for your 'first night' with your husband.

But to your surprise and disappointment, Shu stepped out of the bathroom in his night dress and simply laid down on his side of the bed with his back facing you.

"Shu-"

"Just sleep, (Y/N). Today was already very tiring. I need to go to work tomorrow. Good night."

He cut you off before you could finish, making all the anxiety of the 'first night' in you turn to sadness.

'Could he still be mad about me not asking him before agreeing to the marriage? I should do something to make it up to him before it's too late.'

You thought as you also laid down beside him. But you didn't touch him, thinking that he might get angry at you for doing it.

So both of you spent your 'first wedding night' without doing what couples are supposed to do.

Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months but nothing between you and Shu seemed to change.

He was the same as he was on the wedding day. Cold and silent. You two barely talked properly with each other as he used to leave for work early and then come home late.

Slowly, you began to think that maybe because of your wrong decision, the albino fell out of love with you but didn't get a divorce because of the reputation of both his and your family.

The once caring and loving Shu who couldn't stand a day without getting a kiss from you, who would leave the teachers' room at University during lunch and join you instead, who would always answer your calls and texts had now become so cold and distant that you almost felt like that being in love was only your imagination.

But what kept you from losing heart was the fact that even though the albino was cold, he gave you access to all his cards and always took care of you when you fell sick.

It was now a month after you'd passed University and gotten your degrees and specifications.

As usual, you sat on the couch in the living room and waited for Shu to come home. Glancing at the clock, you read the time.

1:30 a.m.

You were thankful that it was just the two of you. Imagine if you had kids and the albino still came back home at times like this.

Your little train thoughts was interrupted by the ringing of the doorbell as you quickly stood up and went to open the door.

As soon as you did, you were shocked to find a fully drunk Shu who threw himself on you, the moment you opened the door wide enough to let him in.

"S-Shu?"

He didn't say anything but looked at you with eyes that told you he wanted to get inside the house first.

So without wasting another second, you put his arm around you and put yours under his, supporting him inside. It was quite a task for you, considering his tall and muscular frame against your shorter and feminine one.

As you made him sit on the couch, you closed the main door and went to the kitchen, bringing back a glass of water with you.

"Shu...drink some water. It'll make you feel better."

You said offering it to him but instead of taking it, he pushed it away, making it fall on the carpet beneath as all the water spilt from it.

"Shu-"

Before you could finish your sentence, he grabbed you by the wrist and pulled you closer to himself, making you blush as he smashed his lips on yours.

"I lOvE yOu (Y/n)~"

He said in a slurry voice as he pulled away and pressed you against himself. You wanted to stop him but it had been so long since you two kissed and he looked so needy...you decided to give in.

"I-I love y-you too, Shu."

You managed to say as he pushed you down on the couch, pinning you under him. You spent the rest of the night in a not-so-gentle lovemaking with your drunk husband.

The next morning:

You slowly opened your eyes, groaning a little as you felt pain in your lower body. When your (e/c) eyes fully opened, you found yourself alone on the couch.

As you slowly sat up, you could smell something delicious. It was coming from the kitchen.

'It looks like...he's cooking?'

You thought as you slowly stood up and looked around the living room. It looked...clean? Shu must've cleaned it after waking up.

"You're awake. Go and freshen up. I'm serving the breakfast."

The albino's voice made you immediately turn your head in that direction as you found him leaning against the kitchen door and wearing an apron.

You only nodded in response before going to the bathroom to clean yourself up.

After a few minutes, you came into the kitchen and your eyes widened on seeing the food on the table.

"S-Shu it's amazing!"

"I'm glad to know that."

The albino said as he sat down with you following shortly after. Just as you were about to start, he spoke,

"I'm sorry for what I did last night. I know that my apology won't make it up but still-"

"It's alright, Shu. Don't worry. We're married after all."

You said, forcing yourself to smile before beginning to eat. He stared at you in confusion for a few seconds as he was unable to believe that you forgave him so easily. But then he started to eat as well.

As you two ate, you stole a glance at him as you thought,

'So...that's why he made all this food. As a way to apologise...nothing more than that. I guess he really didn't want to do it with me huh? From the way he's behaving...I'm sure he doesn't remember that he didn't use protection last night...'

You sighed softly in sadness as you didn't know how to tell him that you wanted him to touch you...build a family with you...ever since you two got married.

After breakfast, you washed the dishes and Shu went to get ready to go to the University.

After he left, you sat down in the bedroom, clutching your dress as you were feeling nauseous for some reason.

'I feel like throwing up-'

And before you knew it, you were in the bathroom, throwing up for a reason you couldn't figure out.

'C-could it b-be I'm- N-no way!'

You thought as you panicked and dressed up before rushing to a nearby store to buy a pregnancy test and confirm your suspicions.

One hour later:

You were now sitting on your bed and sobbing softly with the pregnancy test in your hand. Your doubts were proved right. It had come out positive.

"H-how am I g-going to face S-Shu? H-he didn't even want t-to touch m-me b-but now I'm p-pregnant. W-will he ask m-me to abort the baby?"

You said to yourself as your sobs turned into cries. You wanted to keep the baby at all costs. But...if the albino wanted you to abort it...you really wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

Suddenly, you stopped as an idea popped up in your head.

'S-Shu doesn't seem to care about me anymore. S-so he won't care about the baby either if...if the baby doesn't become his responsibility. That way...I will be able to keep my baby.'

You made up your mind as you immediately began to pack up your stuff. You would run away before he returns.

Later that evening:

"I'm home!"

Shu called out as usual as he closed the main door behind him. It didn't surprise him that you didn't come to greet him. You would often just shout a 'Welcome back' from either the kitchen or some other part of the house whenever you were busy.

The albino placed his things in the proper places and went upstairs to freshen up, passing by the kitchen in the process.

When he didn't see you there, he was a little surprised. Even the lights were off. As he went upstairs, he expected to find you there but much to his surprise, you weren't there either.

'I wonder where she is...'

He thought as he got in the bathroom and began to freshen himself up.

After about 20 minutes, when he was done and about to step out, his gaze fell on the little bin in one corner of the bathroom. Particularly on an object he saw in the bin.

When he took a closer look, he found that it was a discarded pregnancy test. In your hurry to leave, you'd forgotten to take care of that evidence.

'(Y/N) is...pregnant?!'

Shu gasped in shock when he took everything in. You were pregnant but not at home. Did that mean...?

He immediately rushed out and started calling everyone he thought you could've gone to. The first people on his list were your parents, of course.

Five years later:

When the albino told the news of your sudden disappearance to everyone, they were all worried for you.

Your parents knew you were capable enough to look after yourself but they couldn't help but worry because you were pregnant. And alone. And none of your close friends or family members knew where you were.

They reported it to the police and the department searched for you both in the city and the surrounding areas. But why couldn't they find you?

Because you moved to a small town in the suburbs which was far away from the city you stayed in for almost your entire life.

You worked in a flower shop there and surprisingly enough, the pay was fairly good. So raising your daughter (Daughter's name) wasn't that much of an issue.

You never told anyone there about your past as you were afraid of the gossip and irrational judgements that people would give you if they knew.

Whenever (D/N) or anyone there asked about your husband/her father, you gave them the same response. He was on a long business trip and wouldn't return soon.

Outsiders believed that but (D/N) often asked to talk to her dad on the phone but you always denied, saying that he must be busy. You couldn't tell her...you changed both your number and your phone so that no one could find you. And your new phone didn't have Shu's number in it.

Financially, you were stable. But if you were being honest, raising a child all alone and also managing the living expenses was taking a toll on your mental health.

Back with Shu:

"Okay, students. Remember what you're here for. This town is famous for its flowers. Roam around and look for inspiration to finish your projects. You can either write a story, an essay or a poem. Am I clear?"

Shu asked as the group of students in front of him nodded and he glanced at his wristwatch before looking back up at them.

"You've got two hours. Make good use of it."

"Yes sir!"

All the students said in unison as they dispersed in little groups and went to look for inspiration for their literature project.

After they left, the albino sighed softly as he looked up at the sky and thought,

'Just...where did you go, (Y/N)? Neither the police nor any of us could find you. I know I was at fault for treating you coldly like that. That was probably the reason you ran away, right?'

He began to walk in a slow pace as he shoved his hands in his pockets and was lost in his thoughts again.

'If fate allows us to meet again...I will apologise to you and...I will gladly take you and our child back home. I wonder...if I have a son or a daughter. Or maybe twi-'

His thoughts were suddenly interrupted when he heard the scream of a little girl. Looking around, he saw where the voice came from.

There was indeed a little girl who was crying and curled up in a ball on the ground as three boys surrounded her. They looked like they were trying to hit her.

"Hey! Get away from her!"

The albino shouted as he sprinted to the small group of kids and stood in the middle of the girl and the three boys.

"Bullying others is bad. Where are your parents?"

He asked sternly as he crossed his arms and glared at the boys who flinched and immediately ran away upon getting their parents mentioned.

After they disappeared from sight, Shu turned to face the little girl as he crouched down at her level and spoke softly,

"Don't be afraid now. They're gone."

"T-thank yo-you, nice u-uncle."

The girl sniffled as he smiled gently at her before wiping her tears away with his handkerchief and brushing the dust off her dress.

"Why were they bullying you?"

"B-because I didn't let them ruin the flowers there."

The girl said as she pointed over at a few beautiful flowers which were growing on the roadside.

"I see-"

Shu nodded in response as he looked at the flowers and then back at her but stopped midway as his eyes widened when he looked at her face.

(Somewhat like this. I mixed my appearance with Shu to make this girl. 🙃)

'Her eyes...they are just like mine. But the rest of her features...from head to toe...she looks exactly like (Y/N). Could it really be...?'

The albino thought as he stared at her with a surprised expression. The girl tilted her head in confusion as she touched his face with her little hands, making him snap out of his thoughts.

"Uncle...are you alright?"

"Ah...yes I am. What's your name?"

"(D/N)."

"How old are you?"

"5 years old."

"May I ask who your parents are?"

"I have a daddy I never met but I have a nice mumma. She's very beautiful and works at a flower shop."

(D/N) answered as she stared at him with curiosity. The albino chuckled a little at her cuteness before he asked,

"What's your mumma's name?"

"(Y/N)."

Shu's crimson eyes widened and his jawdropped in shock as soon as he heard that.

'So she's really my...my child!'

He thought as he felt tears pricking the corners of his eyes before he calmed himself down and stood up. He looked down at (D/N) with a small smile as he asked,

"Can I meet your mumma?"

"My mumma? Why?"

"I...want to talk with her."

"Okie!"

The little crimson-eyed girl smiled as she held his fingers and dragged him with her to somewhere.

10 minutes later:

"MUMMA! I'M HOME!"

(D/N) called out excitedly as she stopped in front of the gate of a house.

"(D/N)? Oh my gosh! Where were you? I was so worried!"

The familiar voice made Shu's chest tighten but he kept his composure and waited for his daughter's mother to come.

Within two minutes, you came rushing out of the house to the little (h/c) haired child but stopped midway as soon as you saw who was standing with her.

"S-Shu..."

You gasped as your eyes widened in shock and you just stood frozen on your spot. (D/N) just looked back and forth between you and the albino, not understanding what was going on.

"S-Shu...I-I-"

Before you even began your sentence, he rushed forward and engulfed you in a hug so tight that you were practically squeezed against his body.

The closeness made you feel the vibrations from his body and you realised that he was...trembling.

"...Shu?"

"I-I was so scared! I-I thought I'd never be able to see you again!"

He exclaimed as his voice cracked and it was now you began to feel extremely guilty for running away like that five years ago.

You gently returned the hug and patted his back as you tried to reassure him,

"How could that be? I wou-"

"Please listen to me, first!"

Shu cut you off as he pulled away from the hug and held your shoulders firmly. You were shocked when you saw tears slowly yet surely running down his cheeks as he spoke,

"Get this one thing straight in your brain. I'm yours and you are mine forever. No objections allowed."

The way he said this while trying to remain calm and composed, made your heart ache but you held back your tears as you asked,

"T-then what about the coldness with which y-you treated me after marriage? Y-you didn't even want to touch me..."

"I admit that my attitude wasn't right. B-but there was a reason why I acted like that..."

"...Huh?"

"...I was upset by the fact that no one asked for my consent before arranging the marriage. After the wedding, I wasn't mentally prepared to handle the responsibilities that come with marriage and it was because of that, I became cold towards you. I was afraid of doing something that may upset you so I began to avoid you."

Shu explained as he looked down and took a deep breath before continuing,

"After that night, I was heavily disappointed with myself but I didn't know how I should face you...that's why I didn't change my cold behaviour. But...in doing all that...I forgot to consider...your feelings. I...didn't know that my cold behaviour would hurt you this much. I know...what I did is unforgivable a-and I don't expect y-you to forgive me and come back with me straight away b-but-"

"I forgive you, Shu."

You suddenly cut him off and cupped his face with your hands, gently wiping his tears away. He stared at you for a few moments before he asked,

"R-really?"

"Yes, really. You weren't the only one who was at fault. I should've asked you about it before agreeing with our parents. So...I'm also sorry."

You smiled apologetically as he opened his mouth to say something but,

"Mumma! Does this mean that this nice uncle is my daddy?"

(D/N) asked as she came to your side and you patted her head gently as you answered,

"Yes, (D/N). He's your dad."

"Yay! I also have a big and strong daddy now!"

The little girl jumped happily as she hugged both your and Shu's legs, making the albino smile at her before he looked back at you and asked,

"You raised our little girl so well..."

"But it wasn't easy doing it all alone..."

You said as he pulled you closer to himself and gently pecked your head as he asked,

"I know but you don't have to do it alone anymore. That is...if you and (D/N) are willing to come back home with me?"

"Of course, we will go home with daddy!"

Your daughter answered before you could as she jumped happily, making both of you laugh.

"(Y/N)...take (D/N) in your arms. Quick."

Shu said suddenly making both you and the little you confused but you complied nonetheless.

As soon as you did, the crimson-eyed albino smiled and quickly scooped you up in arms.

"Woah! Daddy is so strong!"

"S-Shu?! W-What are y-you doing?!"

You asked as you blushed and held your daughter tightly. The albino gave you a loving smile as he answered,

"I'm holding my world in my arms."

"W-Wha-"

"Daddy is so cheesy!"

(D/N) laughed, enjoying the feeling of being in both of her parents' arms at once.

"S-Shu! At least get in the house f-first! W-we are still in public!"

You exclaimed, completely flustered when you noticed a group of young girls squealing at the sight of you three.

"So what? I don't give a damn about where I am. I just want to be together with my family."

The albino said as (D/N) looked at you with her curious eyes and pointed out,

"Mumma looks like a tomato!"

One of the girls in the group who were squealing at you three took out her phone and texted the rest of her friends in a group chat, telling them:

I got my left palm burnt so I wasn't able to write for a good while and as usual...preparation for competitive exams means loads of tests all around the year. 🥲
