It was raining heavily in New York. Meteorologists say, this will be the worst thunderstorm recorded this year.

Heavy rains, lightning and thunder... They have advised everyone to stay indoors. Not a single person or vehicle can be seen on the road. Only the sound of rain hitting the road, footpaths, buildings, lampposts etc. could be heard. And guess what?

Lain and (Y/N) are so engrossed in bey training that they don't give a shit about the rain outside.

If you're wondering well let me tell you, they're training at the Central Park instead of Raging Bulls, despite of Shu telling these two a thousand times, not to go out and stay indoors.

"Well I guess, we should head back now, that's enough training for today." (Y/N) said wiping off sweat from her face and then tossing a towel towards Lain as well.

Lain caught it and said, "Yeah you're right (Y/N), it's been 3 hours already or is it 4?"

"Mmm... don't know. But did you bring an umbrella? Look how hard it's raining."

"No, I forgot to bring one. Let's just run back." Lain said as he put on his coat and (Y/N) nodded.

The duo ran all the way back to the Bulls, and got soaking wet. On the way, (Y/N) stopped as she helped a little kitten get back to its mother.

Lain was ahead of her so he didn't notice that (Y/N) was not behind him.

As he reached the building, Shu was waiting at the entrance with a really mad face, he had been looking for his girlfriend and pupil since God knows how long.

As soon as Lain stepped in Shu started,

"Where have you been? I told you not to go out, didn't I?" Gosh he really was mad.

"We were just training at the Central Park, it really isn't a big deal." Lain said catching his breath.

"And where's (Y/N) if the two of you were training, together?" Shu asked narrowing his eyes.

"Huh?...She was right behind me, where'd she go?" Lain looked behind him but (Y/N) wasn't there.

"You mean she's still out in THE RAIN?!?" Shu half yelled.

Just when he was about to go to look for her, they saw her running towards them all wet and panting.

"Guys...I'm...back..." She said still breathing heavily. As she looked up she saw Shu looking at her with an angry face.

"Umm...hey Shu..." She nervously smiled at him.

"Go get changed you two."

Shu said trying his best to keep his temper under control. But his voice did show how mad he was.

Without another word, both Lain and (Y/N) ran to change, not wanting to anger him further.

Reader's P.O.V.

Shu is really mad at the moment. I quickly changed and went out of the bathroom with a towel for drying my hair.

As I stepped out, I bumped into Shu who was looking at me with a weird expression on.

"(Y/N), why is your face so red?" He asked bringing his face close to mine.

Before I could respond, he placed his forehead on mine and said,

"You're warmer than usual. I think you have a fever."

Now that he mentioned it, I actually am feeling a little bit dizzy since I came back. I felt my legs go weak as I saw nothing but black.

Shu's P.O.V.

(Y/N) just passed out. Before she could fall I caught her and carried her to our bed. I saw her face all red and she was sweating. I quickly fetched a bowl of cool water and a soft towel for her.

After placing the wet towel on her forehead, I called for the nurses in the Raging Bulls infirmary.

After examining (Y/N), the nurse handed me some medicines and said,

"She has severe fever due to getting wet in the rain. She needs complete bed rest and give her these medicines when she wakes up, but make sure to feed her something before that. This pill here is for sleeping in case she doesn't sleep on time, just dissolve it in water and give her to drink it. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, she will be having some hallucinations, so make sure to take good care of her."

"Ok thank you for your help ma'am."

"No problem, it's my job to." She smiled as she left.

After she left, I looked at (Y/N), who was sweating heavily. Oh (Y/N), why can't you for once take care of your health?

But I think this is my chance to make it up to you for the innumerable times you had taken care of me when I used to fall sick. I smiled to myself, thinking of taking care of her in the best way possible.

Timeskip to 2 hours later, with (Y/N) still asleep and Shu making his special Spaghetti Carbonara for her 😋
No one's P.O.V.

(Y/N)'s fever had gone down a bit, thanks to the ice gel pack, Shu placed on her forehead. She isn't sweating as heavily as before but her face is still red. Shu's in the kitchen making spaghetti for her.

(Y/N) opened her eyes (whatever the nurse said about hallucinations is gonna come true 😑 reader chan but don't worry Shu's here 😉) and groaned a bit. She stood up and went to the kitchen.

Seeing her, Shu worriedly said, "(Y/N)? What are you doing out of the bed? You should go lie down." He walked up to her as she spoke,

"Shu I'm fine now. But what's that pink shiny thing on the counter?"

Shu looked where she was pointing at but saw nothing. "Which pink thing?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"Don't you see? It's right over there. Look. Is it a shiny ball?" She said again.

Shu looked around the entire kitchen but didn't see a single thing which matched her description. He thought she might be seeing things.

"(Y/N) I think you really should go and lie down. You're having a high fever."

"But-"

"No buts."

Shu said shoving her back to the bedroom. He was about to make her lie down in bed, before she ran to the window.

"(Y/N), what are you doing?"

"Shu, you didn't tell me when the rain stopped. It's so sunny out there. Look, there are kids practicing beyblading too. Hey, when were so many trees planted around here?" She asked looking out.

Shu was now 110% sure, she was hallucinating and seeing things, because it was still raining outside with nothing visible other than shades of grey.

Shu's P.O.V.

Okay, this is not good at all. (Y/N) definitely HAS TO REST. I walked up to her, grabbing her shoulders and turned her around so she faces me. I placed a hand on her forehead and she was.... burning up!?!

"(N/N), you are sick and you need to rest. Get back to the bed and I'll give you your medicines. And about what you're saying, it's still raining. Come on, have some rest."

She just stared at me looking confused. Her face is so red. Now I feel like I'm not a good boyfriend.

"But Shu, I'm all good. See..." And she twirled around.

"No you're not. And if you keep on standing like this you're gonna fall even more sick. So back to bed." I said sternly and picked her up bridal style, carrying her to bed. I laid her down and went to the kitchen bringing her, some spaghetti.

"Here. Eat this, before you take your medicines."

"Don't want to. I'm not hungry." She said turning away and pouting like a child. Is it just me or is (Y/N) really behaving like a child, right now?!

"I'm not asking you, I'm telling you." I said trying to act stern.

"No. I don't want to eat it."

"(Y/N), stop acting like a baby. Besides you like my spaghetti."

"No means no."

(Insert an irk mark on Shu's head.💢)

"Fine."

I took a spoonful of it, grabbed her chin and shoved it in her mouth. The whole time I had to force feed her.

"Now take your medicines and sleep."

I said giving her the tablets. She took them with a cute angry face on as I took the sleeping pill and dissolved it in a glass of water.

"Drink this too. It'll help you sleep."

"So many medicines?!.." She whined.

"Well you shouldn't have got wet in the first place, so it's your fault." I sighed and shrugged.

"Fine, I'm going to sleep now." She said as she wrapped herself in blankets and drifted off to her dreamworld.

I never knew she can get so child-like when she's sick. I guess that's the reason why she never lets anyone near her room whenever she's sick.

That day went by like that and it was nighttime and still the rain was nowhere near stopping. Shu thought of sleeping in the guest room and let (Y/N) sleep on their bed comfortably.

I woke up in the middle of the night when I heard (Y/N) call my name. I went to our room and saw her sitting on the bed with her arms crossed.

"Shu, I can't sleep." She said cutely pouting again with glassy eyes.

I walked up to her and sat in front of her.
"Okay. Let me give you your sleeping pills."

I said and reached out to the counter, to take them but she grabbed my hand and said,

"Noo...I don't want that bitter drink again. Read me a story instead. Please."

"R-read a s-story?" I said stammering. She was looking at me with puppy dog eyes. I really couldn't say no. "O-okay."

"Yay! Read me this book." She said smiling.
Wait w-where'd she get a storybook from? But that really doesn't matter right now. I started to read as she laid her head on my lap, "Once upon a time, there was..."

(Let him read while you guys can pick your favourite storybooks. ^_^)

As I was done reading, I closed the book and looked down at (Y/N) and she was sound asleep. Her fever too had gone down.

I assume she'll be fine by tomorrow. I made a mental note of telling her how she acted when she was sick. I totally want to see her reaction.

For now, I quietly put her head back on the pillow and was about to leave when I felt my hand being held, looking back down I saw her holding it.

"You really are a baby girl, aren't you (Y/N)? But I love this side of yours, too." I whispered as I sat down beside the bed and drifted off to sleep.

Bonus:
In the morning~
No one's P.O.V.~

Shu was the first one to wake up and get ready. Not too long after when he stepped out of the bathroom, (Y/N) woke up too. Shu stepped in the bedroom and saw her looking outside the window at the sun. The rain too had stopped.

"Good morning, Shu." She smiled.

"Good morning, (Y/N). How do you feel now?" He asked returning the smile.

"I feel fine now. How about you?" She asked facing him.

"Me too. Do you remember about yesterday?" Shu asked as a wide and clear smirk can be seen appearing on his face.

"No. Why?"

After Shu told her everything that happened yesterday, (Y/N)'s face went a bright colour of tomatoes as she hid her face in her hands. Shu just chuckled at his girlfriend's cuteness.

"No need to hide your cute face, love. Show me~" Shu said stepping closer to her.

He placed a kiss on her head, and a few more on her hands covering her face.

"I'll be waiting for the next time you fall sick. Because your reaction after you recover is priceless." He said still smirking.

"Shut up!"

Shu just let out a laugh before hugging her as she hugged him back, burying her flustered face in his chest.
