Six days later...

Mya was on a high.

Not high. She would never.

But she certainly felt as if she was living up in the clouds.

Life was pretty much perfect.

She and Jeongin were texting nonstop and had a date planned for after the competition was over.

Bittersweet's predebut song was finally ready to be played for a general audience and the finale was tomorrow.

They had made it!

The girls were currently doing their final rehearsal for SSS.

All the details had been worked, the formations looked amazing, and the singing live had FINALLY come together.

And now as the girls were hitting their ending poses for the song, they all were smiling brightly, unable to contain themselves.

"You guys were amazing!" Renee gushed. "I... I actually have something for you guys."

The girls all shared confused looks but sat in a semi circle in front of Renee.

"I wrote you all letters to show you how proud I am," Renee blushed. "I'm not very good with my words and I'm too shy to actually say anything to your faces so this was the best way I could think of."

The manager began to pass her letters to the idols and when she was finished, she scampered away, not wanting to see their reactions.

All the girls shared a soft smile with each other as they each opened up their letters.

Dear Riley,

You are maybe the best leader I have ever seen. I know that even though I'm dealing with things for the first time, so are you and that you're working constantly to make sure Bittersweet can have the best debut that they can. Thank you for putting up with me and my inexperience as we both work to navigate this confusing path to debut together. Please never stop being yourself and continuing to love myself and the team.

Dear Robin,

I don't think in a million years I would've thought we would've had the friendship we do today. We're two extremely different people, but we have the same goals and that itself is enough for me to tell that you're so special to me. You're an absolute menace, don't get me wrong, but I absolutely adore you and your chaos. Please never change because the world would be losing a star.

Dear Lanhua,

You're the most gorgeous person I know inside and out. I've never seen someone hold themself with such a beautiful energy; I didn't even know it was possible to be as confidently humble as you are. And I notice all the little things you do for the team too: you take care of them when Riley is busy with something else and you're always there to not only support them, but me. I'm beyond grateful for you.

Dear Alaska,

First of all, every time I see you perform, I know you are meant to be an idol. You're the energy in the team that they need to wake up in the morning and get up to perform to the best of their abilities. You being the face of the group may be the best decision I've ever made. Please continue to love being an idol and love dancing because if you were ever to lose your passion, I think my heart may rip into two.

Our multitalented center. You are beyond stunning. Your talents shine when you're performing with the group and even when we're relaxing outside of work functions. The way that you have such a mix of a comforting and chaotic energy is the most confusing thing I've ever seen, but I never want it to go away. I want you to know that even if for some reason if we don't debut, you'll always be the center of my heart.

Dear Mya,

They can say whatever they want, but you are the team's sunshine. When you're happy, they're happy, when you're sad, they're sad. You never fail to surprise me with your endless work drive and talent, even if you do need to take breaks sometimes. I never want you to lose that spark that you have onstage because it's so important for you to remember your passions and what you love and continue to be a star.

The girls looked up from their letters simultaneously and all began to cry.

"Renee!" Mya sobbed. "That was so beautiful!"
"We love you so much," Riley blubbered, unable to control her own tears.
"Please never stop being our manager!" Alaska added, trying to wipe her tears.

The manager returned at the sound of her members crying and giggled before
gently wrapping her arms around all of the members.

"I love all of you guys," Renee smiled softly. "That will never change even with all the hardships of our upcoming career. Whether we're chosen to debut or not tomorrow... I'm so proud."

And that was all it took for Mya's new set of waterworks to set off the rest of the team again.

"Today's the day," Lanhua muttered to herself.

All the Bittersweet girls were standing in a small huddle in the wings waiting for their cue to go onstage as Sana and Dahyun began introducing the finale.

They were dressed head to toe in white for the finale, Seas0n dressed in black, the opposite.

And yes, Riley was upset about not being in black.

"No matter what happens today... you guys are the best thing that has ever happened to me," Mya said.

All the girls nodded in agreement, a couple of soft "yeahs" involved as well.

Renee noticed one of the stage managers beginning to count down with their fingers and Renee motioned for them to get ready.

"3... 2... 1...."
"The first team of SSS competing for a chance to debut... Bittersweet!"

The girls all walked out in order, waving to any excited audience member that they could see.

"Mix it together, salty and fresh, hi, we are Bittersweet!"

The audience exploded with roars as all the girls bowed.

This was it.
