Renee was peeking around the jewelry store, looking for a new necklace to buy.

It's not that she NEEDED one, but her go to necklace wasn't as pretty as she remembered it being so that meant it was time for a new one.

She wasn't exactly sure what she was looking for, but she just wanted to look around anyways. It was a nice way to destress too.

After another five minutes, she eventually gave up and walked out of the store.

She pulled out her phone to see if there were any texts from any of the Bittersweet members and found none so she decided to head to the food court.

Renee had been at the mall since 10 am and it was currently 12:46 which meant lunch time.

She quickly picked out her lunch and went to have a seat.

The manager was scrolling through Instagram when she got a text notification.

Renee did as instructed and her eyes met Seungmin's round brown ones.

The girl giggled and gave a little wave.

Seungmin's face broke into a wide grin and excitedly waved back.

Renee quickly reopened her phone to text Seungmin again, feeling a little giddy.

And with that, Seungmin instantly stood up and walked towards Renee's table.

"Hi Renee," Seungmin beamed, showing off his beautiful smile.
"Hi Seungmin! What are you doing here?"
"I needed to pick up something for Jeongin. He had a vocal lesson today and couldn't get it himself, so here I am!"

Renee giggled, amused by the idol.

"What are you up to?" Seungmin asked.
"I'm just shopping! All the girls don't have any schedule today so we all went off to do our own thing."
"Need some more company after you're done eating?" Seungmin asked hopefully.

Renee nodded her head with a happy smile.

"I'd love that."

The girl quickly finished the rest of her food and the two of them began to walk around.

"I'm not taking up too much of your time, am I?" Renee asked, worried.

Seungmin instantly shook his head.

"Like you guys, Stray Kids also don't have any sort of schedule today. I'm free all day now that I've completed Jeongin's errand for him!"

Renee nodded, beaming.

"This is a little crazy," Renee said suddenly, laughing.
"How so?" Seungmin asked.
"I never thought that I'd be walking next to such a famous idol," Renee replied, glancing at the stores as they walked by.

Seungmin was silent for a moment, taking in her words.

"I'm just like any other person."
"I think you're a lot better than any other person though," Renee said innocently.

Unknown to her, Seungmin had a rather soft smile appear on his face at her words.

He admired her for a moment, his hand desperately wanting to hold hers.

He resisted the urge to do so, however, and tucked that hand into his pocket.

"Hey let's go into that store!" Seungmin said, distracting himself.
"Sure!" Renee replied.

The two of them shimmied into the store which much to Renee's delight, was filled with K-pop albums.

"I should've looked at what the store was before I entered it," Seungmin sighed, trying to ignore the giant Stray Kids poster on the wall in front of him.
"Are you disguised enough?" Renee whispered.

Seungmin shrugged.

"It is what it is."

Renee nodded slowly when her eye caught a certain album on the wall.

"Ooh I've been looking for this!"

She hurriedly plucked Seventeen's 'Face the Sun' carat version album off of the shelf.

"Who are you hoping to get?" Seungmin asked, peeking at it.
"Joshua," Renee said, her cheeks slightly red. "Mya's not his only fan."

Seungmin nodded feeling a bit jealous.

Renee then moved to pick up a '5-Star' album.

"Really?" Seungmin asked, instantly perking up and forgetting his jealousy.

Internally he smacked himself. He was never this obvious before, so why was he so different with her?

Renee only let out a little laugh.

"I've been meaning to buy it for a while now anyways."
"Who are you hoping to get in this album?" Seungmin asked, trying to contain his excitement.

Renee thought about it for a moment, before a teasing grin appeared on her face.

"It might be nice to get Minho or Jisung," she said cheekily.

If Seungmin really was a dog, you would've seen his tail drop and ears flop down with disappointment.

He felt a light touch in his arm and turned to face the girl.

"I'm kidding, Seungmin," Renee smiled softly. "I want to get your PCs."

And now Seungmin's tail would be wagging.

Seungmin was so happy he practically skipped to the counter to pay for both of her albums.

"Hey!"

Renee tried to intervene, but it was too late.

"The Stray Kids album would go into my paycheque anyways and Seventeen are good friends of ours," Seungmin reasoned.
"Thank you," Renee said, accepting the defeat.
"Makes me happy to spend my money," Seungmin shrugged.

The two walked out of the store and then Renee was hit with her original goal in coming to the mall.

"I forgot I needed to go necklace shopping!"
"Well, let's go!"

"Are you looking for anything in particular?" Seungmin asked as they walked into a jewelry store.
"Welcome!" the shop clerk said as they entered a very fancy (and expensive) jewelry store.

Renee's eyes were nearly bugging out of her head and she had shrunk in on her body in an attempt not to touch any of the ridiculously costly jewelry.

"Seungmin," Renee whispered, gently tugging on his sleeve.

The taller boy looked down at her, a bit confused.

"I... I'm too broke for this store," Renee mumbled embarrassed.
"Who says you're paying?" Seungmin asked.
"Hey, no! Seungmin, you already paid for my albums!"
"Let me do this! Please?" Seungmin pleaded, giving her puppy dog eyes.
"We'll see," Renee huffed.

As they were arguing, a store clerk walked over and cleared her throat to get their attention.

"Are you shopping to your girlfriend today, sir?"

Renee and Seungmin both froze, their cheeks flaming red.

"J-just browsing," Seungmin stammered.
"Then I'll leave you to it," the clerk responded and walked away.

As Renee was recovering from her mini heart attack, her eyes caught a rather shiny necklace.

Seungmin noticed it too.

"That one?" he asked.

The necklace was a silver chain with a small heart outline charm on the bottom. It wasn't large enough to be obnoxious, but not small enough to be not with paying for. The necklace was very simplistic, however, it was also perfect for Renee.

"Let me buy it for you, k? Consider it an early Christmas gift."
"But I don't even have anything for you!" Renee argued, ready to pull out her wallet.
"Your smile is more than enough."

With that, Seungmin's summoned the sales clerk and paid for the necklace.

They walked out of there, Renee feeling incredibly guilty and Seungmin feeling extremely proud.

"Turn around, Nee Nee."

Renee obeyed and lifted up her hair.

She felt the cool chain of the necklace on her skin and Seungmin gently did the clasp.

"Can I see?" Seungmin asked.

Renee turned around the necklace perfectly resting against her.

"You're so beautiful," Seungmin said.
"Thank you for the gifts today, Seungmin, you really didn't have to."
"Everyone deserves to be spoiled once in a while," Seungmin said. "Especially someone who works as hard as you do."

Renee looked up at him, her eyes shimmering slightly.

"You're the best, Minnie."

And that singular line from her was enough for Seungmin to feel that every decision that he made today was worth every lost penny.
