"How the hell are we supposed to do that?!"

Alaska had just demonstrated an overly complicated dance move that no one seemed to understand and they were all staring at the girl who just contorted her body in a weird shape.

"It's easy," Alaska frowned.
"No it's not! Not all of us can casually drop to the ground like that and then do a backbend!" Robin scowled.

At the moment, the girls were trying their best to prepare for the survival show they were being put into.

From their best understanding, they would be competing against a group of five other girls and the judges would be both JYP and the Stray Kids members to determine who would be the best fit to continue their legacy. (Or really the stocks)

Therefore, there was a lot of stress to come out on top, especially since the current stars of the K-pop scene would be watching them.

For their first challenge, they had to cover a song by Stray Kids but interpret it as their own; whether or not that meant writing new lyrics, new choreography, a new style of singing, etc.

Robin and Riley had attempted to rewrite some of the lyrics, but at the end, eventually were unable to as Riley claimed that there was no way to rewrite perfection.

So Alaska decided to take one for the team and try to re-choreograph Domino. She decided to keep the domino affect in the choreo, but began to try and change up the moves.

And yes, while this was going on, there were cameras currently in the room with them. Filming their every move.

Poor Renee was in the corner, gripping onto the clipboard she was holding and trying not to bite her nails; one of the bad habits she was trying to break.

"Let's go from the top," Alaska offered, smiling. "Make sure we have it perfectly."

The other six nodded and hurriedly arranged themselves in the opening formation.

"Are we practicing singing live, as well?" Mya asked, unsure on whether or not she needed to warm up her vocal chords.

Riley nodded her head firmly.

"We should be as all rounder of a group as they come. Take it from NMIXX."

Mya nodded and began to do some sort of strange vocal warmup. She claims that it's from High School Musical and therefore, 100% effective, but all the girls think otherwise.

While the youngest was doing whatever that was, Renee quickly pulled out her phone and clicked 'play' on the song. The aggressive notes of Domino began to flow out and echo throughout the practice room.

As the girls began to move along to the music, Alaska shouting out counts and the moves, the girls began to get more in sync with their movements.

As the pre chorus started, Mya's vocals began to get louder and more confident as she hit every single move.

As the girls moved into their new formation for the first chorus, the look on Mya's face was unmatched with any other smile that she could've given. She was truly the happiest when she was onstage, performing for others and making them smile. Even in a song that didn't really suit her, she was still in a good mood.

They stopped right before the dance break, which was the part they were currently trying to choreograph.

Robin collapsed to the ground, panting for oxygen and Mya crawled towards their water bottles in desperate need of hydration.

Mari laughed and gave Alaska a triumphant high five.

"The new choreo is amazing! Not that the old one wasn't great already, but it feels so good to see it all come together!"

Although Mari wasn't helping choreograph any dances, she was paying close attention to the details of Alaska's choreo to ensure that all the girls were doing it correctly. If she noticed that someone was off, she would run over to the pause the music and kindly explain how to properly do the move. The two main dancers together really focused on making sure that they were in sync and were able to dance in their own styles.

All of the girls appreciated the feedback from both the girls in terms of their dancing.

Riley and Robin would give tips on how to turn the Domino by Stray Kids into Domino by Bittersweet. As producers, they were the two who could understand best how to transform a song and make it into their own.

A lot of the song no longer felt like Stray Kids; it had the same charm and energy that they had, but now it was also more of a story behind it, all from the way that the producer duo had helped out.

Lanhua helped the girls with annunciation while rapping and if needed, she would also demonstrate the rap for them if they were a bit lost. The girl also helped with stage presence, specifically, camera work. Pointing out how to connect with what camera and how to determine what facial expression was best there. A couple of times, she would yell out to remind them of also performing while they sang and danced. She refused to allow them to have both weak individual and group stage presence.

And finally, Mya, despite being the youngest was also able to give advice, especially about singing live and breath control.

If the girl was ever in the gym, she always made sure to practice singing while running at a slow pace on the treadmill. Absolutely exhausting, however, her method worked. Out of the group, she definitely had the best breath control and she also gave tips on where to stop singing in order to save their voices for other points in the song.

All the girls were able to contribute to the groups' success in one way or another, but no matter what, they always supported each other. More often or not, there would be compliments before, during, and after practice. All of the girls were consistently in good mindsets due to the positive atmosphere they created.

Renee has paused the music already and was scribbling down some notes for the girls.

"The dance is looking so good!" Alaska beamed, proudly. "I'll try and rework the dance break, but we've been at it since 7 am and it's now 3 pm so... I say we get food."
"McDonald's on Riley!" Mari shouted quickly, causing the other girls to let out cheers.

Riley just stared at the ground, her sense of purpose lost and the feeling of her wallet getting much lighter.

"I wrote all the orders down for you, Riley!" Mya smiled innocently while handing Riley a piece of paper.

To the poor leader, it seemed more like a really long grocery list.

Then her eyes practically expanded out of their sockets when she noticed at what exactly had been ordered; both Lanhua and Alaska had ordered a 40 piece McNugget and a large fountain drink, Mari had ordered two quarter pounders and an iced coffee, Renee wanted a bacon cheeseburger and a smarties McFlurry, Robin went with a 20 piece McNugget and an iced coffee, and finally, the Maknae had ordered a happy meal. And then of course, 7 extra large fries.

Riley's eyebrow raised at Mya's simple request. Was that enough food? After all, those little boxes were so small. Just as she was about to double check that the order was correct, it caught her eye: the reason behind her order.

In the toys display option that showed what could come with the happy meals were tiny squishmallow toys. Of course.

Riley rolled her eyes and chuckled. What a child.

With a sigh, she reached into her pockets for her wallet to pay for the grocery list.

About five minutes later, Riley and an employee walked back with three trays of food.

"Distribute as you must," the employee grumbled tiredly.

The poor guy had to be pulled away from his work to help Riley carry everything to the table.  He most definitely didn't get paid enough for his job.

Alaska and Lanhua had already grabbed their large boxes and began to eat, but Riley watched out of the corner of her eye as Mya peeked into her happy meal to grab the toy.

Her eyes lit up at her prize which happened to be a little dog toy.

"You're 19 years old, Mya, you still want a Happy Meal?" Robin asked.
"I wanted the toy," the girl shrugged with no shame. "Maybe I'll have to come back to collect them all."

Riley laughed and grabbed her own burger. At least all the members (and manager!) were happy.

She supposed her wallet could take a rather large hit for now. Maybe the smiles on everyones' faces was enough.
