"Dad, please!! I-I'm sorry!!" Colby cried, clutching his stomach as he felt the bruises slowly start to appear. Tears were running down Colby's face freely, feeling every single punch and kick immensely as they pained him just as much as his father's words did. His dad scoffed, kicking Colby in the back harshly as Colby cried out in pain once again.

"No fucking son of mine is a faggot, you hear me?! You're a fucking disappointment, Colby!" His father shouted at him, kicking his back once more before reaching into his pocket. His father slowly pulled out a pocket knife as Colby groaned in pain, rolling on the floor as he clutched his stomach. Slowly, Colby's eyes opened wide as he saw the object in his father's hand. Colby sat up quickly, backing into a wall with a whimper.

"D-Dad, please, stop! I-I'm sorry! Please, please, don't do this!" Colby cried, watching as his father walked closer to him. Colby's dad crouched down, slapping him across the face before grasping his hair, and pulling it up so his neck was revealed. His dad chuckled darkly, grabbing Colby's wrists as multiple other scars showed from past abuse.

"You wanna be a fag? I'll show you exactly where that gets you." His father growled, slowly putting the blade onto Colby's wrist. Colby whimpered, clutching his eyes shut as his father dragged a line across his wrist. "See? Being a fag causes pain! For you and me, Colby. Seeing you fills me with disgust," His father spat, slapping Colby across the face once more. Colby's eyes were bloodshot red, still flowing with tears as his hair flopped in front of his eyes, covering them from his hateful father.

"I f-fucking hate you..." Colby whispered with clenched teeth, feeling the blood rush down his wrist. His father's head perked up, a smirk evident on his face.

"Speak up, faggot," Colby's dad dared him, putting the blade up to Colby's stomach. Colby gulped, gaining courage as all the past abuse flashed in his mind, remembering every hateful word his dad had once said. The blood, the hatred, the disgust, the fake love, everything made sense. His father never loved him, and never will. So, Colby came up with the same conclusion.

"I fucking hate you!" Colby screamed, tears falling down his face as he felt the blade press at his stomach. Colby winced, feeling his father slap him before slicing his stomach, creating a deep gash across his abdomen. Colby cried out in pain, a choked gasp coming from his mouth as he clutched his stomach with clenched teeth.

"You're disgusting," His father spat, walking away and leaving Colby to bleed on the wall. Colby's back was against the wall, his hand resting on top of the gash as it bled into his hand. Colby let little winces and whines out every time he breathed in and out, the pain immense. Colby gulped back bile, not wanting to throw up as the burning in his throat would make the wound open more. So, Colby reached into his pocket with his free hand, pulling up the first contact he saw.

Jake.

Colby winced, gritting his teeth as he dialed, the ringing echoing off the walls. Colby choked in a gasp, feeling the wound on his wrist open a little more. Colby had to get away from this so-called home, knowing it was broken from all of the past abuse. "Hello?" Came Jake's happy voice, making Colby relieved. Colby sighed in relief, smiling as he felt tears continue to stream.

"H-Hey, Jake... I kinda need y-you to pick me up..." Colby whispered brokenly, his voice cracking as it was still fresh from screaming and crying. He heard Jake gasp, hearing Sam's voice as well.

"Colby? Are you okay??" That came Sam's voice, obviously deep with concern as he was his best friend. Colby chuckled darkly, turning into a gurgle of blood which he spat out on the floor beside him.

"N-No, to be honest... J-Just, please, hurry..." Colby pleaded, crying out in pain loudly as he moved his stomach. Colby was in a load of pain, this being one of the worst beatings he's had in a while. Colby heard whispered curses from his best friends, hearing them shuffle. Colby's mind was clouded, the amount of blood he had lost started to dawn on him as he watched it drip from his wrist and his stomach.

"Okay, okay, we're coming now, Colby. Please, stay awake." Jake pleaded, his voice sincere as the sound of footsteps clashing against water erupted through the phone. Colby gulped, nodding as he couldn't add a verbal response. Colby shakily placed his phone down, trying to control his breathing. "Colby?? Colby! Please, dude, stay awake!" Jake begged, the sound of rain and thunder erupting from the sky.

"I-I'm trying..." Colby grumbled, wincing and clenching his teeth as he shifted once more. He heard a sigh of relief come from both of his friends. Fortunately, Jake's house was super close to Colby's, basically a three-minute walk. "Fuck, g-guys-" Colby cried out in pain once again, trembling as he clutched various bruises. Everything hurt, ached, and screamed at him.

"Dude, don't worry, we're almost there, hang on!" Jake shouted, panting as his legs struggled to keep up. He was sprinting, sprinting toward the person he loved most. Colby whimpered quietly, just audible enough for Jake and Sam to hear. "Sam, c'mon!" Jake shouted, his footsteps thumping loudly against the pavement as he arrived at the front of Colby's house.

"Go, go, go!" Sam shouted, running up the stairs of the porch and kicking down the door. "Colby!" Sam shouted, seeing his whimpering form on the ground. Sam gasped, seeing the gashes and the bruises molted into his body. Sam gulped, rushing over to his pained friend in a second. "Dude, dude, dude, hey, hey, calm down, we're here, you're okay..." Sam cooed, Jake right beside him as they examined his figure.

"Sam, we have to get him out of here, now!" Jake shouted, aware of his Dad's presence in the other room. Colby whimpered, the shouts bringing back recent memories as he clutched his wrist, feeling Jake move his hands under his back and his thighs, picking him up bridal-style. Sam was impressed, seeing how easy it was for Jake to pick Colby up, but there wasn't time to compliment Jake's strength. "I can run with him, we just gotta get out of here!" Jake whisper-shouted, watching Sam nod.

They both rushed out of there, Colby in Jake's arms. Rain clashed against Colby's head as they ran through the Neighbourhood, his eyes falling shut as his head rested on Jake's shoulder. "Colby, please, stay awake..." Jake pleaded gently, his voice soft as he panted, still sprinting with Sam by his side as they rushed to his house. Colby nodded weakly against his shoulder, resting his eyes. Colby shivered, his shirt not being enough protection from the rain.

Thankfully, they arrived at Jake's house quickly, all of them soaking wet as Colby's blood slowly started to dry. Colby winced, clenching his teeth as Jake and Sam ran up the stairs. Jake ran into the room quickly, placing Colby down on his bed in a lying positon, Colby's head resting against a pillow as he stared at the ceiling. Sam stayed with Colby while Jake grabbed the medical supplies, such as peroxide, bandages, and medical tape. Jake also grabbed one of his hoodies, making sure that Colby would be warm.

"Alright, alright, don't panic. I got everything we needed. Colby, I'm gonna need you to take your shirt off so you don't get cold." Jake said gently, opening the peroxide. "But first, I'm going to bandage you up," Jake said, gently grabbing Colby's wrist. Colby winced, clenching his eyes shut as Sam comforted him, holding his head on his lap. "Alright, brace for a small bit of pain, dude," Jake said, pouring some peroxide on the cut. Colby winced, feeling the bubbly stinging pain zip through the cut as foam bubbled up.

"Good job, dude. It'll be over soon, Jake just needs to get your stomach," Sam said gently, clutching Colby's hand in his. "Squeeze my hand if you need to avoid the pain, bro," Sam said softly and confidently, making sure he kept his younger friend safe and comforted. Colby nodded, whimpering gently as he felt the peroxide seep into his stomach gash. Colby bit his lip, feeling the pain start to ease as Jake placed bandages on his wrist, wrapping it up carefully. Jake then wrapped up Colby's torso, removing his shirt and throwing it on the floor. Carefully, Jake put his hoodie on Colby, making sure he was warm.

"All done, dude..." Jake whispered, sitting down on the bed beside Sam and Colby. Sam smiled, moving Colby's head off his lap and onto Jake's chest, making sure he was comfortable... and he was making sure that they'd finally realize their feelings for each other. Colby unconsciously snuggled into Jake's chest, sighing contently. Jake smiled, placing his fingers into Colby's hair and rubbing his scalp comfortingly.

"Thanks, guys..." Colby whispered appreciatively, listening to Jake's heartbeat.

"No problem, dude... anything for you..." Jake whispered the last part, wanting to make sure Colby didn't hear him. Colby smiled gently, hearing the last part of Jake's sentence. Soon enough, Colby fell asleep, while Jake stayed up as he realized Sam was also knocked out. Jake sighed, looking down at the brunette on his chest and smiling softly.

"I love you, Colby,"

Colby smiled gently, his eyes opening up and looking up at Jake. Jake blushed gently in realization, his eyes widening as he saw Colby's blue eyes stare back at him affectionately.

"I love you too, Jake..."
