The sun beamed through the car window, shining on Colby's beautiful pale skin elegantly as he slept peacefully. Angelic dreams were found during his slumber, a certain brown-eyed boy appearing in them. He was sublime, his voice speaking with enchantment to Colby as he led him through a peaceful island on the ocean. Colby could feel his heart flutter with astonishment, adoring the brown-eyed boy while they ran through the excellence of nature, bushes being rustled by their movement as twigs cracked beneath their feet.

Colby couldn't help but smile at him, laughing at the few jokes that were cracked by this mysterious but charming boy. His actions felt so genuine, comfort and passion being found in the air around them, together. They were close, smiles being offered throughout the two as they shared heartfelt moments, the pale moonlight shining above them. There was nothing to distract the two, just their hearts mixing together with passion. It was perfect for Colby, the generosity in the other's eyes was stunning.

Nothing could ruin their moment.

Suddenly, the dream started to fade and voices including the sound of an engine rumbling knocked into his ears loudly, his brows furrowing as he could no longer see the handsome brunette. "Colby, wake up," A voice whispered, a gentle hand giving him a shake on his shoulder in an attempt to wake him. Colby let out a groan of annoyance and fatigue, consciousness seeping into his veins as his eyes fluttered.

"Hey, sleepy head," Sam chuckled, his blue eyes lighting up at the sight of Colby's consciousness while the sun shined on his pale skin. Colby hummed, turning over in his seat as it was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. "C'mon, dude, we're here! Your ass has been asleep for hours!" Sam exclaimed, a feeling of air washing over his skin as he noticed the car door was open. Colby sighed, nodding as he looked over, his eyes glancing over the glistening ocean water in awe.

"Woah..." Colby muttered, his mouth agape as his memory of the ocean wasn't this enchanting. "It's so... pretty," Colby said, his stomach rolling in excitement as a smile crept onto his face. A goofy grin appeared on Sam's face, his eyes turning over to Alex.

"Yeah, I know, right? It's so cool!" Alex chirped, his teeth being shown with a smile as his mood contained happiness. Colby got out of the car while Alex talked to Sam, giving him time to grab his luggage from the trunk. Colby huffed tiredly, shutting his door and walking behind the trunk. The trunk popped open with ease, Colby's hand grasping the familiar black suitcase and pulling it out, standing it up-right the ground beside him. While Colby closed the trunk, a hand landed on his shoulder.

"Hey, dude, you ready? Sam and Alex already dipped to the boat," The same voice from his dream spoke friendly, his hand warm on his shoulder. Colby's heart skipped a beat, his head turning to see Nate, the charming friend from his dream. Colby's mind screamed within him as he felt his heart rate spike, his palms sweaty.

"Y-Yeah, I'll meet you guys there?" Colby suggested, a nervous grin given. Nate chuckled, nodding with a smile as his hand released Colby's shoulder gently.

"Course', dude, see you there," Nate said, walking off and leaving Colby alone with his heart pounding against his chest. Colby gulped, sighing as he was left dumbfounded. It soon made itself known that Colby was head over heels for the guy. Every single time Colby's eyes took a glance at him, his heart would thump loudly against his chest. But it was worse whenever they made eye contact, their eyes sparking in delight every time their vision came across with each other. Trying to forget his sensual thoughts, Colby grabbed the handle of his luggage, dragging it along the dock as he trudged forward toward the boat...

The cold shivers of air consumed the night sky, the moon shining vibrantly on the three sleeping males, and one conscious brunette. They had all passed out without him, the day being exhausting as they had decided to stay on an island for twenty-four hours. Colby couldn't sleep, encounters with Nate haunting him in the best way possible. His eyes shone like gold in Colby's eyes, his vision of Nate being the definition of perfect. Not to mention, his perfectly styled hair and his glamorous body. His clothing was unique but trendy all at once, his vibe mixing with Colby's perfectly as they could laugh and joke all day. Everything would be perfect if they were together!..

...Except, Nate's a guy.

Colby couldn't ruin his reputation, knowing this generation still had homophobes lingering around every corner. His career could vanish in front of him if they dated, if Nate even liked him, of course. And, not to mention, Colby wasn't sure of what his parents or friends would think of him. If Colby had come out, half of his life might have been brushed away, losing half of his following was high in chance.

There was always the same conclusion in Colby's life, that being loneliness. It never left him, the feeling of dread and loneliness being one of his main emotions during high school and even now. It was daunting, the weight on his shoulders was immense as he could never find a lover, everyone expecting him to find a girlfriend and not a boyfriend.

Colby sighed while his head landed in between his knees, resting in defeat. The dark waters of the ocean splashed against the sand, creating a ripple effect. Colby's heart sank in realization, knowing he'd never get what he wanted, which was Nate. Colby gulped back the sorrow, not wanting to get all depressed during their vacation, even though they were all asleep behind him in the makeshift tent.

Colby's imagination got rid of some time, thinking of endless possibilities and scenarios that he and Nate could have. What if he and Nate had gotten together? They both had met in High School, an instant click going between them as they became friends easily, their dynamic personalities being perfect for each other. If they dated, they'd adopt kids, start a family, and tell stories about how they met, going to abandoned places and trespassing together.

That sounded like a pleasing, no, amazing life. Colby would die for something like that, a life where he could live happily with the brown-eyed boy.

But, reality was harsh, knowing that he'd never get to live a life that good.

Letting his eyes close, Colby sat in the sand helplessly, breathing in a calming rhythm as he tried to sleep. The ocean was calming, Colby's heart settling down at the sound of the waves. The smell of the air surrounded him, a forest-type aroma. The waves hid the sound of footsteps, Colby being clueless of the male walking toward him.

"Colby?.."

Colby's head shot up quickly, his eyes flashing toward Nate's, wide. Colby's heart fluttered, beating harshly against his chest at the sight of Nate. "Huh?.. Nate, what are you doing up?" Colby asked hoarsely, his voice frail from the lack of sleep as fatigue started to catch up on him. Nate walked closer to Colby, sitting beside the brunette. Nate looked upon the ocean, the moon shining against his skin majestically as Colby stared in an adoring manner.

"I could ask you the same," Nate stated, his head turning to Colby before his eyes followed, looking into Colby's elegant blue eyes adoringly. Colby felt his cheeks heat up the slightest, realizing how close he and Nate were. Colby gulped, his eyes flickering down to Nate's lips for a second, not realizing Nate did the same. "You've... been awfully distant," Nate said, a hint of guilt in his voice, Colby catching on to it.

"I... What do you mean?.." Colby asked gently, watching as Nate looked at the ocean again. Nate sighed gently, breathing through his nose to smell the peaceful aroma. Colby couldn't help but wonder what thoughts went through his head, feeling his heart pound against his chest in anticipation.

"It's just... you've been ignoring me recently... and I'm sorry if I did anything," Nate shared guilty, blaming himself for Colby's distant behavior. Guilt rose in Colby's chest instantly, and he felt horrible for making Nate feel guilty since he was to blame.

"Nate, you didn't do anything... It's... me, okay? I've just been... thinking," Colby spilled, trying to reassure the other brunette the best he could. Nate looked back at Colby, a genuine look on his face as he asked,

"What's on your mind?.."

Colby gulped, contemplating his response. Colby looked away embarrassingly, looking to the other side of him as his heart rate sped up, his mind concluding on what he would say. "Look, I... I've been thinking about..." Colby gulped, his hands shaking lightly, Nate noticing his nervous demeanor. Gently, Nate took his hand in Colby's, holding it comfortingly.

"Don't stress, you can tell me..." Colby could've sworn he felt his heart stop in happiness, the feeling of Nate's warm hand against this cold one was magical. Colby sighed, looking over at Nate with nervous eyes and saying,

"You... I've been thinking about you, Nate," Colby said hastily, struggling to comprehend his words as he had just admitted his feelings. Nate's eyes widened, shock written all over his face before a small, gentle smile appeared on his face.

"I've been thinking about you too," Nate aired, smiling gently at Colby with adoring eyes. Colby's world bursts with happiness, excitement, and love coursing through his veins ecstatically. A small smile warped onto Colby's face. Slowly, Nate's lips got closer to Colby, landing on his perfectly. Colby's eyes widened, sparks erupting in his stomach as he finally felt true happiness.

The kiss broke, both of them looking into each other's eyes lovingly, grins on their faces as Colby said,

"Thank you, Nate,"
